Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan were one of the most talked-about couples of recent years, with the A-listers separating in December 2024 after almost a year of dating.

And with the Espresso singer and the Saltburn actor being at the height of their careers, the online fallout from their respective fan bases was major.

Barry Keoghan in particular faced an extreme online backlash in the aftermath of their split, following rumours that the 33-year-old actor had cheated on Carpenter, 26, who is seven years his junior.

This is something Keoghan spoke out about this week, addressing the rumours around their break up during his recent appearance on Benny Blanco and Lil Dicky's podcast, Friends Keep Secrets.

"I feel in a safe space to say this, but I have been avoiding stuff," Keoghan explained in a rare statement. "I came off Instagram and social profiles. I’ve stopped going to events. I’ve stopped just socialising.

"It’s because there was a narrative out there that was never really sort of even spoken on," he continued. "A narrative that’s not true, and I never confirmed or said anything about it. And I just disappeared."

This, he confirmed, when asked by Lil Dicky (real name: David Burd) was in reference to the rumours that he had cheated on Carpenter.

"I’m not asking for people to become my fan and like me because that’s not normal," Keoghan continued. "I’m asking for people to stop assuming and also stop jumping on this narrative and attacking me and dragging me down in any way you can. I’m not saying this for pity. Why is it cool to hop on and beat someone up?"

This is not the first time that Keoghan has spoken out about the online abuse he has received, with the actor previously opening up about his decision to step away from the internet.

"People are so lovely out there [but] there’s also a nasty side of it," the Peaky Blinders star told SiriusXM earlier this year. "And I’ve removed myself from online, but I’m still a curious human being that wants to go on. And if I attend an event or if I go somewhere, you want to see how it was received. And it’s not nice, you know?

"There’s a lot of hate online," he added. "There’s a lot of abuse of how I look, and it’s kind of past the point of, ‘Everyone goes through that.’ And everyone does, but it’s made me shy away. It’s made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside. And I say this being absolute pure and honest to you – it’s becoming a problem."

Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter may have split well over a year ago, but conversations around the pair's relationship have continued in the wake of their break-up. Talking about how I was a heroin baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also.' At the time, he also deactivated his social media accounts as a result of the trolling.

Last week, during an appearance on SiriusXM with Ben Harlum, Barry addressed the lasting impact of that very intense scrutiny. He admitted that he stopped wanting 'to go outside', and added that conversations about his looks are 'becoming a problem'. Discussing the darker side of celebrity, Barry said: "There’s also a nasty side of it. And I’ve removed myself from online, but I’m still a curious human being that wants to go on. And if I attend an event or if I go somewhere, you want to see how it was received. And it’s not nice, you know?"

He added: "There’s a lot of hate online. There’s a lot of abuse of how I look, and it’s kind of past the point of, 'Everyone goes through that.' And everyone does, but it’s made me shy away. In the a TikTok carousel from Taylor Nation - she's wearing the earthy colour in every single picture, and it's suddenly clear just how many of her tour outfits were linked to this upcoming album. And that's not the most interesting part - on the last night of the Eras Tour, she ended her Karma performance by exiting through an orange door. So it won't come as a surprise to a single Swiftie that she's been dropping easter eggs for this album for ages.

The numbers

Fans will know that Taylor is very considered when it comes to numerology - from release dates to references in her songs. And it appears that, in line with the fact that this is her twelfth album, she's moving away from her usual use of '13' and leaning into the 12 of it all. Not only did the news drop on 12th August, but the announcement was made on Instagram at 12:12.

Eagle eyed fans spotted not one but three 'TS' signs in the clip from the New Heights podcast. If you look closely, there's one white, one orange and one red card with her initials emblazoned on them. Although it's not clear what this easter egg could mean, fans are speculating that Taylor could be creating multiple variations of the album. Interesting...

Taylor's website makes it very clear that while the shipping date for physical copies of The Life of a Showgirl is 13th October, that it's not the release date. However, given the emphasis on the number 12 throughout this announcement, it wouldn't be too surprising if she released it on streaming platforms the day before. What is rodeo hair?

It's pretty simple. Rodeo hair is all about voluminous, textured hair that just exudes boldness and confidence. "This style typically features large, bouncy curls and a considerable amount of height, particularly at the crown. It’s a striking, glamorous look that blends a bit of wildness with intentional styling," explains Adams.

How to achieve rodeo hair

Prep is essential for this look, says Adams. "Start with freshly washed, damp hair. You should use a volumising shampoo to create a solid foundation for fullness, but opt for a lightweight conditioner to ensure the hair remains bouncy and doesn’t get weighed down. Using a root-boosting spray or mousse will add the necessary lift at the roots, which is key to creating the volume for this look."

Next, use a large-barrel curling wand to create the soft, bouncy curls associated with this look, or you can use a hairdryer with a round brush, which will provide similar results. When curling, wrap the hair around the barrel loosely to achieve soft waves with significant volume, rather than super-tight curls. "A texturising cream will add the perfect touch of texture and volume, while a firm-hold hairspray will help set the style in place without compromising its natural bounce," the hair stylist adds.

"Once you have curled your hair, gently flip your head upside down to shake the roots and emphasise the volume. Although she squashed the speculation in an interview by talking about how much Barry loves her music, it wasn't long before reports emerged that Barry and Sabrina's relationship is 'on and off', with a source claiming that their differing lifestyles are to blame, and Sabrina is 'putting herself first' before her tour starts, as per The Sun.

When the Bratz account shared a photo of two dolls customised to look like Sabrina and Jenna Ortega in the new music video for Taste, Barry was quick to leave a message under the picture, writing: "Can I have one?"

It didn't go unnoticed by fans, who were surprised by the comment - with one person simply adding: "WHAT."

Others have taken this as confirmation that the pair are back on, with one relieved fan writing: "Thank f***ing god."

Another said, "You just confirmed you two still together!" while a fourth added: "Fight the breakup allegations, yesss!!"

At the time of writing, the couple has not directly addressed the split rumours, but in an interview with The Guardian - which was published on 23rd August - the singer did vaguely address their relationship. A source claimed to the paper: "Barry acts like an idiot when he is drunk and Sabrina was getting increasingly frustrated. He has always been a party animal and Sabrina was fed up with his antics. She is soaring in the charts and is putting herself first as she gears up for her tour next month."

Neither Sabrina nor Barry has publicly or directly responded to the break-up rumours, but over the weekend Barry made a subtle move amid the growing speculation by liking Sabrina's latest Instagram post about her upcoming album release.

Sabrina Carpenter has been slowly growing her fanbase since her Disney days, but her popularity has positively exploded over the last twelve months. Not only has the singer been dominating the charts this summer (and taking down the trolls that are criticising her music), but she has also been the face of an enormous SKIMS campaign, toured with none other than Taylor Swift as part of The Eras Tour and secured her spot as a fashion world darling by scoring her second invite to the Met Gala. Oh, and then there's the fact that she's dating Saltburn's Barry Keoghan - and everyone is obsessed with their relationship.

Earlier this year, Sabrina gave iconic performances at Coachella and clips quickly went viral (including this sweet video of Barry fangirling). However, a short clip of her performance at Outside Lands Festival in San Fransisco this weekend is also going viral - but for a very different reason. In the short video, which has been widely shared on social media, Sabrina can be seen dancing on stage before seemingly being hit by fireworks behind her.

The Espresso singer can be seen dancing by a railing just metres in front of the fireworks, before suddenly flinching, shouting and running in the opposite direction, covering her mouth as she gasps through her microphone: “Oh my god!”

While she got herself away from the pyrotechnics machine immediately, she appeared to be giggling in shock and quickly got to safety with her fellow backup dancers. Sabrina has sine taken to Instagram to celebrate her time at the festival, writing: "Headlined @outsidelands... thank you to everyone who came. Special thank you to the angel that is @spaceykacey for coming out to sing and dance to Nancy Sinatra with me :’) and thank you to my whole team and crew. All the talented people who made this show happen on and off stage, i love you all so much."

Fans have commented on the Instagram post to check that Sabrina is okay, with one writing: "Sabrina girl are you okay? You scared us with your screams at the end of the show with the pyrotechnics."

Sabrina has not yet publicly addressed what happened with the fireworks, but reports have since claimed that she did not appear to be injured.

Coupled with audio from Please, Please, Please (specifically, "If you wanna go and be stupid/ don't do it in front of me") Sabrina wrote: "Me saying goodbye to him bc I wasn't his #1 streamed artist".

But Sabrina has finally responded to the break-up speculation in an interview with Variety. Not only did she squash the rumours, but she added that Barry is 'obsessed' with the lyrics, too.

She said: "He loved the song. He’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that. I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation. So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special."

Oh, and she also threw in that Barry and her sister are Libras and her dad is a Capricorn - so in one fell swoop she defended her relationship and announced herself as an astrology hun. Excellent work, Sabrina.

Sabrina Carpenter is trending on the website formerly known as Twitter, and it's unfortunately not for the right reasons.

On Tuesday, the presale opened for fans of the American popstar to purchase UK (and European) tickets to Sab's upcoming Short n' Sweet tour, with general sale opening this coming Friday.

But as eager fans braved the long Ticketmaster queues to secure their place at the UK shows in 2025, they were shocked by the asking prices for the arena tour, and many decided to opt out of purchasing the overly expensive tickets. (Despite this, presale tickets still went like hot cakes and many fans who weren't put off the prices were still not able to buy theirs.)

One of fans' main grievances is that prices for Sabrina's gigs are in some cases higher than those for major artists such as Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and even Taylor Swift — even for much worse seats.

People shared strong feelings about the situation on X, with one fan writing: "Just overpriced platinum nosebleeds left for sabrina carpenter. I'm officially at war with ticketmaster. Why was this harder than taylor swift"

Another said: "SORRY I had every intention of getting Sabrina Carpenter tickets today on o2 priority but the cost is WILD why are they hundreds of pounds????? She’s new ish???!???"

And another wrote: "happy international self-care day for all those who suffered the sabrina carpenter ticketmaster presale"

One man told BBC News that he and his wife were trying to get tickets to see Sabrina for their 11-year-old daughter, and had a nightmare with it.

"My wife was in the pre-sale queues on the Ticketmaster, Hydro and Sabrina Carpenter’s website and the cheapest tickets were £220 each," Neil Hutton told the outlet.

"The jump in ticket prices in recent years has been astronomical."

One fan told The Scottish Sun: "Folk need to start boycotting gigs over ticket prices. £221-£350 per head for us to take our daughter to see Sabrina Carpenter in Glasgow is absolutely outrageous. No thanks."

Sabrina is performing on Birmingham on 6 March, in London on 8 March, in Glasgow on 11 March, and in Manchester on 13 March. Within Europe, she'll also perform in Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, and Amsterdam.

Sabrina Carpenter's aunt is actually actress Nancy Cartwright, best known for being the voice artist behind the iconic role of Bart Simpson.

Carpenter has opened up about the connection in the past, talking about her famous aunt in a 2021 interview with Capital FM.

“By relation, I am also a legend,” she joked in the interview about Cartwright's star-studded career. “No, absolutely not, not even close. But I will say that my whole life, that was just the coolest thing in the world to me.

“The woman is a woman of many talents, not just Bart,” Carpenter continued. “She always blows me away.”

Cartwright has also spoken about their relation, confirming the news in a TikTok video, entitled "The rumours are true! Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!".

"Isn’t that amazing?," Cartwright exclaimed in response to a fan's question. "Maybe you’ve known me for a little while, doing this little 10-year-old boy for, like, 35 some years — and some of you guys for, like, way less than that — find out that I’m related to this, like, superstar. She’s pretty amazing."

Not only has she been supporting Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour - arguably one of the biggest world tours in a generation - but she also landed herself a SKIMS campaign, won a legion of fans at Coachella thanks to her brilliant sense of humour and is dating fellow rising star, Barry Keoghan.

And when it comes to Sabrina's music, the numbers speak for themselves. Earlier this year, Espresso dominated both social media feeds and minds (waking up with 'I'm working late 'cause I'm a singer' rapidly became a daily ritual) and the song has been in the Billboard top 10 since its release in April. Her hotly anticipated follow-up single Please Please Please has had just as much - if not more - love from fans, and she made UK Official Chart history this week by becoming the youngest female artist to have both the Number 1 and Number 2 slots - beating former title holder, Ariana Grande. No small feat.

Sabrina Carpenter's campaign for Kim Kardashian's SKIMS didn't cause any issues between her and Taylor Swift — despite Taylor and Kim's rocky history.

Swifties criticised Sabrina online when her campaign was released, seeming to feel like it was a betrayal of sorts, but that wasn't the case at all.

"As much as people want to believe you’re tuned into every little thing, I’m not because I’m constantly working. In that scenario, I’ve been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end," Sab said about Tay in a new interview with Rolling Stone. "So it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that’s all they have time to do."

The two singers' friendship developed through Sabrina being an opening act for Taylor on many Eras Tour dates — but they often hang out on other occasions now too.

Meanwhile, Taylor's history with Kim goes back to the mid-2010s, and involves the SKIMS founder's ex-husband Kanye West.

In 2016, the hashtag #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty took over Twitter (now known as X). To understand why, we have to go back in time a bit, to Kanye releasing a song titled "Famous" that contained the line "I made that b*tch famous," in reference to the unforgettable and surreal moment he leapt on stage after Taylor had won a VMA in 2009 and said that Beyoncé should have won instead. The phrase "Imma let you finish" might ring a bell?

Anyway, after he released the song, Kanye claimed that he had got Taylor's approval before using the line, per the Guardian. But Taylor subsequently denied having given her approval for the offending line. Coming to her then-husband's defence a few months later, Kim released recordings of Kanye and Taylor's phone conversation on Snapchat which the public felt proved Taylor had given her approval, but the "b*tch" line was never actually referenced in the recordings.

Taylor then released a statement that famously included the line, "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be part of, since 2009."

After that, the singer laid low for months, then released the album Reputation, which is believed to take aim at Kim and Kanye.

Though it looked like things had improved between Kim and Taylor post Kardashian-West divorce, the album The Tortured Poets Department features a song titled "thanK you aIMee," which is widely believed to be a Kim Kardashian diss.

Sabrina Carpenter has opened up about boyfriend Barry Keoghan... sort of.

The singer recently gave an in-depth interview to Rolling Stone, and obviously the question of her new love interest popped up.

Sabrina wasn't exactly dying to talk about her love life, but she still gave us some things to work with. Asked whether she refers to Barry as her boyfriend, she answered: "How do I skirt around this question?"

Still, she continued, speaking in vague terms that seemed to point to Barry: "The [dating] pool is the pool, and when you meet people that feel authentic and are so brilliant and amazing in every way, that’s what you do.

"Obviously, I write songs about exactly how I feel, so I guess I can’t be so surprised that people are interested in who and what those songs are about. That’s something that comes with the territory."

One of the songs Sabrina is talking about here is of course her latest single "Please Please Please" — the music video for which Barry stars in alongside her.

The fact that he stars in the video is hilarious because the lyrics are about a new love interest and Sabrina (or at least her character) pleading with him not to "embarrass" her.

The lyrics include iconic lines such as: "Heartbreak is one thing, my ego's another / I beg you, don't embarrass me, motherf***er," which you've undoubtedly already been humming all day.

Sabrina and Barry, the star of Saltburn, have been dating since roughly December of last year, when they were photographed on a night out in Los Angeles.

After that, reports that the two were an item ramped up, until they were photographed at a Grammys after-party together.

Their "hard launch," however, was the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March, when the two were not only photographed together, but Barry also wore an Eras Tour-style friendship bracelet that said "Sabrina" on it. Loud and clear, Barry, loud and clear.

But one video that has been doing the rounds on social media is that of Saltburn's Barry Keoghan being a superfan for his rumoured girlfriend, Sabrina Carpenter. Although the pair haven't officially confirmed that they're in a relationship, they were spotted on a date in Los Angeles in December and have since been photographed at events looking rather cosy. Just a few weeks ago, Barry's comments on Sabrina's Instagram post caused quite the stir, and his reaction to her red carpet entrance at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party didn't go unnoticed.

So when fans spotted Barry sweetly filming Sabrina as she performed at Coachella for the first time, the video instantly swept through the internet. In a clip shared on a Sabrina fan page on X (formerly Twitter), the singer can be seen singing bet u wanna while dancing along a Motel balcony, with Barry front and centre filming the whole thing on his phone. Historically, Barry has remained fairly private about his personal life. Late last year, when journalists started asking questions about the status of his relationship with Alyson Kierans - with whom he shares a 19 month old son, Brando - he declined to comment, simply sharing that she has 'done a great job and she’s an incredible mother'. The pair were together for two and a half years but reportedly separated last summer.

Sabrina has yet to publicly acknowledge the Barry Keoghan dating rumours, but in March a clip of the pair went viral. In the video, viewers can see her sweetly running to - and hugging - Barry after one of her Eras Tour performances in Singapore.

Taylor Swift is currently on a break from The Eras Tour after finishing a string of shows in Japan, Australia and Singapore. Earlier this month, videos of Taylor coughing her way through her set at the Singapore National Stadium went viral but the popstar was recently spotted unwinding in the Bahamas with boyfriend Travis Kelce and enjoying some well-deserved rest. The pair have gone from strength to strength since they started dating last summer, and when Travis flew to Australia to meet her last month they enjoyed a very normal person date at Sydney Zoo. Apparently, they had a lovely time strolling around the park hand in hand and taking photos of the wildlife. Cute.

But it seems that Taylor also enjoyed a mate date at the popular tourist attraction. Sabrina Carpenter has been supporting Taylor throughout the Eras Tour and performed alongside her in Melbourne and Sydney. In an Instagram post uploaded over the weekend, Sabrina shared a previously unseen photo of the friends side by side at Sydney Zoo, and it is so sweet. 

Alongside the carousel of images - which also includes snaps of Sabrina performing - she wrote: "That’s a wrap for us on the eras tour... sitting at home reflecting on what a whirlwind this was and how very honoured I feel to have been part of it. I want to thank every crowd for being so welcoming and generous to us and making some of the most impressive friendship bracelets I’ve ever received. Also a huge thank you to the incredible crew for being so hardworking and talented."

She continued: "And the most thank you’s I’ve ever thank you’d to Taylor. I feel so lucky to witness the magic that is you and this tour. There is truly no one like you and there never will be! I love you with all my heart and I will cherish this taybrina era (and all the eras) till the end of time."

Taylor will be back on stage on 9th May when she kicks off the European leg of the Eras Tour in Paris, but in the mean time fans are looking forward to the her upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department - set to be her most explicit yet - which will released on Friday 19th April.

Speaking at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday, Sabrina said: "If I see Cillian Murphy, I'm probably gonna leave the party. Probably just gonna leave with him."

She continued: "I'm not gonna leave with him. I'm just gonna leave at the same time as him so I can see where he lives. So I can, like, follow his car."

Vanity Fair posted a video of the "Feather" singer saying this unabashedly to the camera on Instagram, with the caption, "Someone help @sabrinacarpenter track down Oscar winner Cillian Murphy—stat." When Barry saw that, he commented: "🙋🏻☘️" in a reference to both men being Irish.

Fans thought this interaction was hilarious. When the Instagram account @commentsbycelebs posted about it with the caption, "Luck of the Irish," one person wrote: "Can’t blame her tbh"

Others didn't quite realise Sabrina was joking and her boyfriend thought it was funny, so a lot of commenters also busied themselves making sure everyone knew it was in fact a joke.

The red carpet is an event in itself, with the biggest names in the industry zipping into a second look before partying the night away. It's also where a lot of eagle-eyed celeb spotters notice details about the dalliances among Hollywood's elite - and this year, the focus was on Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter. 

The rumoured couple were first linked in December, and fans were expecting the pair to walk the red carpet together at the Golden Globes. However, it wasn't until the Grammys in February that the Saltburn star and the Feather singer were photographed together - albeit in a fairly neutral pose, with Barry and Sabrina covering their faces. 

But while neither party has confirmed that they're an item, Barry's behaviour on the Vanity Fair Oscars party red carpet isn't convincing that they're not. In a clip that has since gone viral on social media, Barry can be seen moving from photo spot to photo spot, and as the photographers are attempting to direct him and get his attention, he keeps looking back at Sabrina, who was next in line. 

One fan shared a clip of the exchange on TikTok, and you can clearly see Barry finding it impossible to take his eyes off of the singer. He mouths 'oh my God' as he spots her, and when he realises that he can't focus, he says: "Sorry, I'm distracted."

Fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the interaction, with one commenting on the video: "He said 'omg' he's in love."

Another person wrote on X: "The way Barry Keoghan can't look away from Sabrina Carpenter makes my standards even higher."

A third said: "I need a man obsessed with me as much as Barry Keoghan is with Sabrina Carpenter."

The A-listers were out in force for the Grammy Awards this weekend, with the likes of Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo lining the chairs at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles while watching iconic performances from Joni Mitchell and Tracy Chapman. Taylor Swift, who won her 13th Grammy Award, used her acceptance speech to announce the release of her new album, while Jay-Z used his win to voice his disappointment that Beyoncé - who made history last year as the biggest Grammys winner of all time - has yet to be awarded in the Best Album category. 

But just as the ceremony itself piques the interest of music fans across the globe, so do the after parties. In fact, this year there was one post-show bash that has had everyone talking as photos from the night appear to show a pretty cosy Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter. 

The Saltburn star was first linked to the Feather singer late last year, with rumours  circulating in December that the pair had started dating after a string of public dates. Reports suggested that Barry and Sabrina would attend the Golden Globes together in January, but a red carpet debut never materialised. However, they were snapped together at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles at a party hosted by W Magazine, Mark Ronson and Gucci. And a post on the W Mag Instagram account includes a photo of the pair looking rather close. 

The caption reads: "It was murder on the dancefloor last night at Los Angeles’s Bar Marmont where W Magazine, Mark Ronson and Gucci hosted a star-packed Grammys after party. Spotted in the crowd were Barry Keoghan cozying up to rumored girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter and Dua Lipa and Callum Turner dancing their hearts out."

The carousel also includes snaps of Mark Ronson and his wife Grace Gummer, as well as Anya Taylor Joy and husband Malcolm McRae. One fan commented: "The amount of just iconic couples that were hard launch by this."

Another wrote: "It’s like celebrity prom, I love it."

A third added: "BARRY AND SABRINA??? HELLO."

Can we take this as confirmation that they're most definitely on? 

Barry Keoghan has been one of the biggest breakout stars of the last twelve months. The actor first gained recognition for his performance in The Killing of a Sacred Deer in 2017, but it was his role in The Banshees of Inisherin that really catapulted him into the spotlight. It led to his first BAFTA award win last year, and he was also nominated for a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. Following on from his huge success in early 2023, he has gone on to star in Top Boy and most recently, Saltburn (the controversial grave scene led to director Emerald Fennell calling his performance 'the most extraordinary thing I'd ever seen').  

So while his noteworthy roles have been widely discussed, he has remained fairly private about his personal life. In a new interview with GQ, Barry was asked about his relationship with Alyson Kierans, with whom he shares a son, 17 month old Brando. However, the publication noted that while he said she has 'done a great job and she’s an incredible mother' he declined to comment further. 

The couple reportedly split last summer and Barry was spotted enjoying dinner in LA with musician Sabrina Carpenter in December, fuelling speculation that they are dating. A source had told The Sun that Barry and Sabrina were planning to walk the Golden Globes red carpet together this weekend, but that he wanted to make his ex aware ahead of the event last Sunday. 

They claimed: "Barry thought it was best that Alyson was the first to know about him and Sabrina so she wouldn’t be hurt if she found out on social media. He is spending a lot of time in the States and has invited Sabrina to be his ‘plus one’ at the Golden Globes. Alyson and Barry still communicate for the sake of Brando, and he has been open about his new relationship."

Although Barry walked the red carpet alone and neither of them have addressed the dating rumours, it hasn't stopped fans from discussing their potential romance on X, formerly Twitter, with one fan writing: "Idk if I'm jealous that Sabrina Carpenter is [with] Barry Keoghan or that Barry Keoghan is [with] Sabrina Carpenter."

Another added: "Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan am I reading this correctly."

But it seems that Alyson's mum Kathy Kierans has all but confirmed that Barry is dating someone new, as she told The Daily Mail that the pair are co-parenting their son Brando, and that Barry had spoken to her about his new relationship.

She said: "They're on talking terms and need to be for wee Brando. Barry had the decency to give Alyson the heads up about his new girlfriend and we can't fault him for that. Alyson is now focusing on herself and her son."

Are they? Aren't they? We'll have to wait and see..

Sabrina Carpenter isn't letting controversy bring her down — in fact, she's bringing her signature humour to the whole situation.

The singer, who is currently in the midst of opening for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, ran into a little trouble when she released her music video for "Feather."

In the somewhat Heathers-like video, Sabrina both witnesses lots of men dying bloody deaths as they fight over her and actively kills at least one of them, and dances in a church as she seemingly celebrates their deaths.

After the video was released, the church in question (located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn) said they had to "re-bless" it to cleanse the space, and a priest who agreed to the filming was stripped of his administrative duties.

Speaking to Variety about the shoot, Sabrina said: "We got approval in advance," adding, "and Jesus was a carpenter," appearing to make a joke about her surname and the appropriateness of her filming in a church.

Predictably, people on social media are obsessed with the singer's response.

"Impossible not to stan," commented beauty influencer MannyMUA.

"JESUS WAS A CARPENTER LMFAOO SHES NOT SERIOUS," said someone else. Teehee.

Incidentally, the popstar admitted that humour is what helps get her through life's more difficult moments. Notably, she always changes the last lines of her song "Nonsense" to new ones while performing. The original lyrics are hilarious in themselves:
