Rihanna knows how to turn an everyday occasion into a moment. Okay, perhaps announcing the birth of your baby girl isn’t exactly a daily occurrence, but it’s a fairly standard practice. Except, of course, when Rihanna is involved.

In the announcement photo, Rihanna cradles newborn Rocki Irish Mayers, both mother and daughter are draped in swathes of sweet pink. Oversized ballet slipper-pink bows trace Rihanna’s upper arms, matching the onesie and frilly lace socks worn by her daughter. The accessories, too, are symbolic: a rose-gold Audemars Piguet watch (with a cool $100,000 price tag on the resale market) with a pink dial, and a custom yellow-gold “Mom” ring.

The look doesn’t even comprise any actual clothes, and yet, as soon as it was uploaded to Instagram, it became a fashion moment (there are over 200,000 comments alone at the time of writing). This is the power of Rihanna.

Few women have reshaped the visual language of celebrity quite like her. Since she first stepped onto the world stage in 2005, the Barbadian singer, entrepreneur, and mogul has transformed herself from a beachy pop ingénue into one of the most fearless and genre-defying fashion figures of her generation. What she wears is never just clothing: it’s commentary, power, rebellion, and, as this most recent announcement shows, history.

From the low-slung jeans and baby tees of her early music videos to her Vatican-inspired Met Gala grandeur (and that majestic—and meme-ified—Guo Pei gown), Rihanna has always been more about creating trends than wearing them. When Rihanna emerged with her debut single Pon de Replay, she was fresh-faced, sun-kissed, and still very much tied to the island-girl aesthetic of her Barbadian roots. Her early style leaned heavily on Y2K staples: low-rise denim, halternecks, and belly chains. As is typical of emerging artists, her style in these years was less about control and more about discovery, a girl adapting quickly to the aesthetics of American pop stardom, while bringing with her a distinct Caribbean cadence.

But even then, Rihanna wasn’t just another pop protégé. There was a confidence in how she held herself that felt instinctive. Sure, the fashion world hadn’t fully turned its gaze toward her yet, but it was only a matter of time...

Rihanna from 2009–2013

The release of Rated R in 2009 signalled a turning point, not just musically, but sartorially. Good girl gone bad. With a freshly shorn pixie cut, heavy eyeliner, and a wardrobe that flirted with androgyny, Rihanna started embracing fashion as a form of defiance. Leather jackets, combat boots, and deconstructed silhouettes—items that have long acted as shorthand for rebellion—became key tenets of her new aesthetic.

Where Rihanna might’ve dressed for approval only a few years earlier, she was now styling herself for provocation. This period dovetailed with a broader cultural shift; as pop and hip-hop began to blur genre lines, so too did Rihanna’s wardrobe. Her style tapped into the rising influence of streetwear while also slipping into couture, and although still early in her career, Rihanna’s fashion choices were now about asserting agency.

Rihanna from 2014–2017

By the mid-2010s, Rihanna had transcended the realm of “style icon” to become one of fashion’s most compelling muses. Designers vied to dress her; photographers queued to shoot her. In 2014, she attended the CFDA Awards wearing a now-iconic sheer Adam Selman gown dripping in over 200,000 crystals, a piece of fashion history that offered both homage to Josephine Baker and a fearless reclaiming of body politics.

Bold and directional, Rihanna, at this time, was experimenting with silhouettes that challenged traditional ideas of proportion and femininity. Oversized puffers from Vetements and sculptural coats from Comme des Garçons became part of her evolving fashion narrative. More than just a personal aesthetic evolution, Rihanna’s styling choices reflected fashion’s own awakening. Luxury fashion was finally beginning to acknowledge street culture and the power of celebrity influence. Today, Rihanna is recognised as being part of the engine driving that change.

Rihanna from 2017–2020

As the founder of both Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, Rihanna began using fashion to reframe who gets to be seen, and how. Her runway shows celebrated bodies that had long been excluded from the lingerie industry. By casting pregnant models, plus-size dancers, drag performers, and people with disabilities, she created an inclusive, high-glam spectacle that stood in stark contrast to the narrow, homogeneous world of competitors.

Off the runway, her personal style remained just as subversive and boundary-pushing. Blurring the lines between streetwear and couture, she would pair oversized Balenciaga puffer coats with stilettos and turn vintage Dior saddle bags into modern staples. Her chameleonic wardrobe serves as a representation of the multifaceted nature of women, and she refuses to be boxed into one aesthetic or subculture, instead flitting with playful ease between a full Rick Owens look one day and baggy jeans and Timberlands the next.

Rihanna from 2020–2025

Rihanna has only grown more audacious with time. Her maternity fashion alone has rewritten the rules: bare baby bumps in custom Jean Paul Gaultier, lace-up tops by Chrome Hearts, and sculptural Alaïa designs are an unapologetic celebration of pregnancy as power. She’s turned custom Loewe coats into viral moments and turned up to Paris Fashion Week in archival YSL, Maison Margiela, and custom Fendi, all while resisting the pressure to be palatable.

As she entered motherhood, she didn’t shrink into modesty. Instead, she redefined maternity fashion on her own terms. She refused to treat pregnancy as something to be hidden, and in doing so, sparked a global conversation about visibility, womanhood, and power.

Her fashion choices today are an elegant blend of her past signatures: the glamour of her haute couture years, the edge of her Rated R rebellion, the island ease of her youth. Whether she’s swathed in custom Bottega or walking the streets in slouchy vintage denim, there’s an ease and a mastery to it all. She also looks like she’s having an awful lot of fun, which shouldn’t be a rarity, but is.

And yet, Rihanna’s style story isn’t just her own. It’s also a mirror of culture’s shifting face. She has brought Blackness, Caribbean heritage, body diversity, and queer aesthetics into the fashion mainstream—not as token gestures, but as core values. Her fashion isn’t just about beauty or trendsetting; it’s about building worlds where more people can see themselves reflected.

Rihanna’s style legacy is one of fearless reinvention and radical visibility. She has never been content to follow fashion, instead preferring to redirect it, redefined it, and reimagined its possibilities. From red carpets to airport runways, she’s made statements without saying a word.

And, in a world that often demands women shrink themselves, Rihanna has only expanded, taking up space, claiming pleasure, and dressing on her own terms. She’s opened doors, broken rules, and inspired future generations to do the same.

In fashion, boomerang trend cycles are nothing new. Like an escaped birthday balloon, there is an accepted element of what goes up must come down. Over the last decade we have been happily drenching ourselves in the loose comfort of oversized items.Frankie Shop large shouldered blazers, baggy wide leg jeans and dresses with swathe rather than skim.

Demna, the incoming creative head of Gucci having revolutionised Balenciaga, has arguably been the initiator of the oversized-era. His giant size tracksuits, suiting and floral lazy-girl-cool dresses set the mood for the last ten years of trend cycles, kicking off an air of unfitted nonchalance in our wardrobes. The pandemic supercharged this expectation of comfort. But we are five years on from that.

In a recent interview with German newspaper Die Zeit, Demna himself signed the deathknell. "Today, oversize is part of mainstream fashion, but really not in a good way. Oversize doesn't interest me so much anymore." Oof.

The about-turn scene was set last September when Kaia Gerber appeared in a new version of the white Hervé Leger bandage dress her mother Cindy Crawford wore to the 1993 Oscars. Hailey Bieber followed suit in April, and so the sexy, clingy ball rolled back.

Fitted, unforgiving and body-conscious, the bandage dress, initiated by Azzedine Aläia in the eighties and picked up by Hervé Leger in the early nineties as a career defining signature, has long split the style jury. An impressive feat of fabric engineering and body-enhancement or a constricting (Leger’s are famously hard to move in) reductive move to tighten women into a binding body ideal?

As in their heyday, and noughties revival era, the resonance of the style is strong. At rental agency By Rotation, searches for bandage style dresses have surged an extraordinary 3300 per cent year on year. In the US, Puck reported that at Rent the Runway, “hearts” for Hervé Leger have risen 68 per cent in the past twelve months, with bookings per unit up 35 per cent.

The late noughties adoption of the style - which like Roland Mouret’s similarly body conscious Galaxy dress - ran the celebrity starlet gamut from Rihanna and Victoria Beckham to Carol Vorderman.

In an era when women’s bodies were relentlessly scrutinised, and Heat magazine and Perez Hilton were ready with a felt-tipped “ring of shame” for those which were deemed unacceptable, it was the perfect show off foil for yoga-honed limbs.

The 2025, full circle moment comes of course on the back of the Ozempic boom, protein-body-mantras and eradication of the marginal inroads which had been made by the body positivity movement. An acute interest in the size of celebrities' bodies (from Ariana Grande to Kelly Osbourne) has returned with a depressing vengeance.

The fashion world has spearheaded the move backwards; curve model bookings are down to a dribbling low, catwalk-led clothes are getting smaller, tighter and intended for small bodies only. The bandage dress return comes of course with marketing backing. Hervé Leger will mark its 40th anniversary this September, House of CB which launched on the back of imitating the classic style, reissued the dress to make its own 15 year birthday.

The hype is heavy; but so is the aversion to bigger bodies. This week Marc Jacobs showed a collection which again played with proportion with exaggerated bellies and breasts heaving out of the tiny model’s bodies. The bulges were all material; no curve models were cast. Instead it showed a horror show fascination with fat, which with a quick unzip (or GLP-1 prick) can be shed.

Meanwhile in Venice, the Bezos-Sanchez wedding extravaganza allowed both bride and guests to unveil their heavily sculpted bodies in exacting corsetry and figure-clinging couture, seen as a de rigeur aesthetic for the new, obvious, flashy monied world order.

Brace yourselves, bodycon is coming for us again.

Rihanna is no stranger to a street style snap. The singer-turned-beauty-mogul is regularly spotted in effortlessly cool looks that marry luxe labels with a practical flair—she is pregnant with her third child, after all. But her latest LA appearance has caught the eye of many a fashion fan, shooting straight to the top of summer style moodboards everywhere thanks to her chic sundress, classic trainers, and throw-on baseball cap ensemble.

The star of the show? A ruffled, strapless cotton dress from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, which has already sold out in most sizes on both Net-a-Porter and the brand’s own site. Now that Rihanna has come out a fan, any remaining stock isn’t likely to last long.

At its very best, beauty at the Met Gala isn’t just about trends—it’s storytelling. And last night, Black beauty told a story of resistance, artistry, and pride. In every swoop of an edge, every gravity-defying curl, and every nod to icons like Zora Neale Hurston or Josephine Baker, there was a reminder that Blackness is not a theme, it’s a legacy.

This year's Met Gala also proved yet again why it’s fashion’s biggest night out—but this time round, it wasn’t just a celebration of the allure of Black design, but also Black beauty. In a true ode to Dandyism, stars stepped out with grace, reclaiming the cultural legacy of Black style from the clutches of mainstream appropriation—this time, with full authorship.

Hair stylist Devontae Washington stated his mission was “serving big, bouncy glam for my girl", supermodel Precious Lee. It was Dandy in its effortlessness, providing an effortless, voluminous look for the occasion. From intricately laid edges to towering Afros, the night delivered a masterclass in texture, shape and shine, with looks stretching from glossy glam to sharply sculpted contouring.

It encapsulated the theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” in a way that provided a star-studded, in all senses of the word, visual love letter to Black Dandyism and self-expression. Hair, long a cultural cornerstone of Black beauty, took centre stage at yesterday’s event, with some of the night's most exciting looks centred on hairstyles, accessories or makeup.

So, naturally, the night brought out the greats. Artistic displays from Pat McGrath and Charlotte Tilbury to Chanel and Dior, with smaller names, like Kiko, rising to the occasion. Ahead of last night’s celebration, celebrity hairstylist Jawara Wauchope and creative director Jarrod Lacks put on their own show pre-Met Gala. On Friday night, they gave fashion's elite a preview of the brilliance to come—a study in the intimacy and complexity of Black hair on one of the world's biggest stages.

Industry-leading hair stylists, from Cyndia Harvey to Vernon François and Malcolm Marquez, offered sculptural interpretations that pushed the boundaries of traditional hairstyling. These artists, many of whom have long used their craft as protest, struck a perfect balance between reverence and rebellion. It was a captivating marriage of what happens when the world’s greatest creative heads come together to honour the crowns that have come before. The reign of the Dandy called for a masterclass in grooming galore.

Curves, coils, bubble and bounce

Last night’s display served as a potent reminder: Black hair is art, resistance, and legacy, all in one—a harmonious balance of reverie and rebellion. Using a blend of tgin and Dyson tools, stylist Karen Miller sculpted Actress and comedian Quinta Brunson's face-framing curls into a style echoing the glamour of Josephine Baker—structured yet soft, with a modern swoop stamped firmly to her forehead.

Nigerian singer Tems showed out with delicate, finger-curled edges—a recurring signature for her that plays into her playfulness as an artist and Dandy for the night. “To create Tems’ sleek and polished Met Gala look, I relied on two of my go-to Dyson tools—for fast, controlled drying and a smooth, glossy finish,” said hair stylist Ashanti Lation.

How ‘fro can you go?

Apparently, the limit does not exist. With Dandyism deriving largely from West African culture, from the top of one’s head to the curl of one’s shoe, the Afro becomes an apex in its presentation (and preservation). At its core, Black Dandyism is not only about elegance but about gender fluidity and defiance—a reclamation of space that allows Black expression to be opulent, androgynous and unapologetically free. For that reason, it rightfully took centre stage on the decorated carpet this year. Hair stylist and educator Chloe Swift foresaw that "bolder, texture-rich statements that complemented individual looks" would be used to echo the theme’s androgyny. And some of the industry’s greats did just that. From actresses Angela Bassett and Lupita Nyong’o to Lauryn Hill and Cardi B, Dandy was the word, but so was ‘fro. And in a world and culture where the Afro has often been demonised and diminished, last night was a prime opportunity to celebrate the hairstyle in all of its curly and coily glory, with these leading ladies flaunting the perfect ode to a key part of Dandyism.

Glitz and glam, gleam and glow

As with many Met’s, so much of the magic lies in the hands of the make-up artists and the touch of their brushes. This year, offered a slightly more tame approach to the extravagance of it all. Rihanna, Zendaya and Megan Thee Stallion opted for soft-focus beauty—barely-there bases made radiant with strategic shimmer.

Glam teams (for Rihanna, Fenty Beauty Global Make-up Artist and friend Priscilla Ono and Charlotte Tilbury for Megan Thee Stallion) led with understated drama, proving that minimal can still mesmerise. Both used the new Big Lip Plumpgasm Gloss in Nudegasm Diamonds to bring some of that shimmer and shine into otherwise matte bases.

Rihanna’s arrival on the Met Gala red carpet is always a moment that both fashion lovers and fans await with bated breath. However, this year, it’s not her take on the theme that excited everyone.

Arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art earlier today, the singer stepped out in a fitted grey two-piece revealing a big surprise: she’s pregnant.

Currently, the singer has two children, RZA and Riot, with partner A$AP Rocky; however, it appears congratulations are in order as a third isn't far behind.

To show off her growing baby bump, RiRi opted for a ribbed co-ord from Miu Miu worn alongside coordinating grey knee-length socks and court heels.

She accessorised the look with a dark grey bucket hat and a fur stole, possibly nodding to the look she’d be stepping out in that evening.

This won’t be the first time Rihanna has taken to the Met Gala red carpet with a baby bump. In 2023, while pregnant with the couple's second child Riot, she opted for a white floral hood and floor length gown by Valentino.

Natalie Portman has always fiercely maintained her privacy despite being one of the most famous people in the world. She once explained why she changed her name when she started acting at 13 years old, and has made a huge effort to separate her public and private life. However, the May/December star's relationship with Benjamin Millepied - who she was married to for over a decade - was thrust into the spotlight last year when she filed for divorce.

Although Natalie has refrained from sharing any details about their split, she has spoken about how meeting Rihanna as the divorce was being finalised was a 'formative moment' in her life.

Many will remember that Natalie and Rihanna bumped into one another at the Christian Dior show during Paris Fashion Week in January this year, and the clip of them fan-girling over one another quickly went viral (and for good reason, it's amazing). During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Natalie described what happened when she met Rihanna and explained that she was just as excited by the interaction as the rest of the world. In fact, she even went on to say that Rihanna's comments were exactly what she needed to hear in the midst of her divorce.

She told Jimmy Fallon: "It was an amazing experience for me. I think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she's a bad bitch. It was exactly what I needed."

The pair then watched the viral clip, before Natalie added: "It was a formative moment in my life."

In the video of them meeting for the first time in Paris, Rihanna can be heard telling Natalie that she's 'one of the hottest bitches in Hollywood forever', before adding: "I don't get excited about anybody but I f***ing love you."

Brilliant.

It has been six months since Rihanna announced she was pregnant with her second child. That's right - while it might not feel like that much time has passed since her iconic Super Bowl performance, in February she shared the exciting news that her and her partner A$AP Rocky were expecting again just nine months after the birth of their first child. 

And it seems that the family of three officially expanded earlier this month, with TMZ reporting that Rihanna and A$AP welcomed their second child in early August. 

The couple, who share one year old son RZA Athelston Mayers, previously spoke about their desire to have more children in an interview with British Vogue. 

The singer and beauty mogul said: "My wish would be I would like to have more kids, but whatever God wants for me, I'm here. I'm open [to whatever baby gender next]. Girl, boy. Whatever."

According to the publication, Rihanna gave birth to a baby boy on 3rd August and while there are no confirmed reports of a name just yet they claim that she is following suit with the 'R' baby names - with the little one's moniker sharing the initial with his mum and brother. 

Adorable. 

At the time of writing, neither Rihanna nor A$AP have confirmed the news - but fans are hoping that an official announcement will come from the pair soon. 

However, the couple have this far been very protective of their privacy, and Rihanna explained how she felt when she realised that paparazzi had taken photos of RZA without consent. 

She told British Vogue for their March 2023 issue: "I just went straight into protective mode. Like there wasn’t even time for rage.

"As parents it just feels so icky, like a violation."

Whether or not they decide to share any details just yet, congratulations are definitely in order for the growing family! 

When Rihanna revealed that she is expecting her second child, it was nothing short of iconic.

Rihanna gave birth to her first child last year, with her son turning one next month. Throughout her pregnancy, her maternity looks were praised for accentuating and not hiding her bump, and she commented on the fact that she refused to wear anything that didn't make her feel 'sexy', telling Refinery29: "Right now, I'm really into pushing the idea of sexy. When women get pregnant, society tends to make it feel like you hide, hide your sexy, and that you're not sexy right now [but] you'll get back there and I don't believe that shit."

She has continued to follow that mindset this time around - whether that means wearing a sheer custom Alaia dress to the 2023 Oscars or a tucked in Loewe striped polo top while out and about in LA. 

Although Rihanna and A$AP have revealed they knew they were expecting a baby boy during her first pregnancy, they have not commented on the gender of their second child publicly. 

However, some think that they might have worked it out. 

Over the weekend, the Daily Mail published photographs of the singer shopping for baby clothes and snapped her looking at a pastel pink romper. It has sent fans into overdrive, convinced that the couple are expecting a daughter this summer. 

Talking to British Vogue, she said: "Rocky wanted to know. He wanted a boy. At first he was open, then he was like, 'Nah, I want a boy, I’m sure.'

"I was just like, 'Lord, please let this man get what he wants...'"

While she didn't confirm if they were expecting a girl or boy, she added: "Listen, I’m down for whatever. My wish would be I would like to have more kids but whatever God wants for me, I’m here. I’m open... girl, boy. Whatever."

But it is worth noting that she was also photographed look at baby girls clothing during her first pregnancy - even though she knew that she was expecting a boy.

We'll just have to wait and see!

Rihanna caused a storm with her Super Bowl halftime show earlier this month, which was the musical comeback fans have been desperately waiting for for many years. 

During the evening, Rihanna announced she was expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, and she later confirmed her pregnancy in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. 

Just weeks later and conversations have been circulating the Rude Boy hitmaker, and her 34-year-old rapper beau, could be planning a wedding, according to Radar Online. 

A source told the publication: "Throwing a wedding and having another baby are Rihanna's main focus at the moment. Agreeing to do the Super Bowl definitely reinvigorated her love of performing, but it still doesn't compare to what she has at home. Luckily, A$AP's on board, too.

"Rihanna and A$AP can’t wait to get hitched."

Speculation over wedding plans could potentially include "eloping in secret", a "low-key" ceremony in LA, or a "super glam event" in her home of Barbados. 

The insider added: "[They could] eloping in secret, or having something low-key in LA now, followed by a big celebration bash next year.

"She wants it to be in Barbados, a super glam event, but she also wants to be able to run around barefoot.

"Guests who attend can expect to dine on delicious island food while listening to live music."

However, the couple have yet to confirm, or deny, the wedding rumours. 

Some thought Rihanna's hotly anticipated comeback at the Super Bowl meant a new album could be in the works. 

There was speculation Rihanna's show would be the catalyst for the star to release new music and embark on a possible tour, as her last album, Anti, was released in 2016, but Rihanna has yet to confirm any future projects. 

However, with a second baby on the way, as well as potential wedding plans, may delay more music from the 35-year-old singer and actor.

The singer and businesswoman is expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, and used her 14 minute set to proudly show off her growing bump. 

Sporting a custom red Loewe jumpsuit which was unzipped to the waist, Rihanna sang some of her most popular songs while on stage at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona - kicking things off with Better Have My Money, and following with Only Girl (In The World), Where Have You Been and We Found Love - while dancing and cradling her stomach. 

(Of course, she also belted out Umbrella and Diamonds, too.)

While Rihanna pretty much broke the internet with fans sharing photos and clips of her performing with her bump, she later confirmed her pregnancy in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. 

Discussing her decision to perform last night, she told the publication: "I was like, 'You sure? I’m three months postpartum. Should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this.'

"When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything. And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was … there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all... It’s important for my son to see that."

The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, nine months ago.

1Rihanna is set to take to the stage and perform during this year's hotly anticipated Super Bowl halftime show.

Her upcoming performance is one long awaited return for the singer-songwriter-come-actor-fashion-and-beauty-entrepreneur, who last performed live at the Grammys back in 2018. 

The Super Bowl halftime show will take place mid-way through the National Football League (NFL) league championship, which will see Kansas City Chiefs go head to head with the Philadelphia Eagles to be crowned champions. 

The Super Bowl will take place on Sunday 12 February at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and we cannot wait for Rihanna's comeback.

The interval performance is said to be one of the biggest annual music shows in America, and it has previously been helmed by Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Beyonce as well as The Rolling Stones. 

This year the Fenty Beauty founder will take to the stage, and we cannot contain our excitement. 

But it seems Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin, is also raring for Rihanna to step into the limelight once again, for the first time in five years. 

Speaking on The Zane Lowe Show, the 45-year-old singer - who collaborated with Rihanna on Princess of China song back in 2012 - said: "I don't know Rihanna very well. I'm mainly just a fan, and we have performed with her a few times, and you're right, it is rarer and rarer for her to just sing, which is what makes it even more special, and in a strange way, it shows that she really, really wants to do it.

"No one can make Rihanna do anything at this point, and so I think the fact that she has chosen to do it now [is a big deal]. You have to be an idiot not to recognise that she's the best singer of all time."

Chris - who headlined the Super Bowl halftime show back in 2016 - believes Rihanna could do anything and still wow the audience.

He added: "I'm very biased because I'm such a big Rihanna fan.  I think she could just walk out in sweatpants and sing, and that would be just great."

Rihanna, 34, has recently admitted she was uncertain about headlining the show, especially so soon after having a baby, as she agreed to perform the 13-minute segment just months after giving birth.

Speaking recently at an Apple Music press conference, Rihanna - who gave birth to her first born with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May last year - said: "I was like, 'Psst, you sure?' I'm three months postpartum, like, should I be making major decisions like this now? Like I might regret this. 

"But when you become a mom, there's something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world, you could do anything.

"It's important for me to do this this year. It's important for representation, it's important for my son to see that. I am excited to have Barbados on the Super Bowl stage.

"A big part of why it is important for me to do this show, representing for immigrants, representing for my country Barbados, representing for black women everywhere.

"I think that is really important, it is key for people to see the possibilities. I am honoured to be doing this this year."

However, preparing for the Super Bowl halftime show has come with its challenges, especially juggling rehearsals with motherhood.

She explained: "The physical challenge has definitely been immense, for many reasons, of course. But, I haven't done this in a minute. 

"First thing's first, so you're just running around for 13 minutes, trying to put a two hour set in 13 minutes, and you're going to see on Sunday, it just, from the time it starts, it just never ends until it's like the very last second. 

"Now I'm saying too much? But it's a jam-packed show, and it takes a toll on your body, it does."

"The balance is almost impossible because no matter how you look at it, work is always something that's going to rob you of time with your child. That's the currency now. That's where it goes. The magnitude of how much it weighs. When you make decisions on what you're going to say yes to, it has to be worth it."

There is speculation Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime show will be the catalyst for the star to release new music and embark on a possible tour, as her last album, Anti, was released in 2016, but Rihanna has yet to confirm any future projects.

While on the red carpet for the Wakanda Forever premiere with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, she was asked what her favourite body part was and if it has changed since having a baby. 

And she was quick to answer. 

She said: "My booty. Now it's my booty because I got one."

The reporter reminded the star that "booty" was her answer ten years ago. She laughed it off, responding: "How dare me! Well, the answer has not changed."

We absolutely love that it has not changed, and that women can love their bodies in the same way, before and after pregnancy.

Rihanna opened up about life as a new mother, and it is as sweet as we expected.

She told Access: "It feels like disbelief. You look at him and he’s yours, but he’s a stranger and he’s new.

"You’re learning him as he’s learning you and learning the world. It’s an amazing experience. When he looks at me at my eyes, my whole soul is like … I can’t tell if it’s cold or hot. It’s just like dropping, amazing."

With the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Spice Girls and Eminem among the rumoured headliners, it's set to be one to remember - and definitely not one to be missed. 

And to make things even more exciting, it seems that none other than Rihanna herself is reportedly in talks to appear at Worthy Farm next year. 

Yes, really. 

According to The Sun, Rihanna is in talks with organisers Emily Eavis and her dad, Michael Eavis, to perform on the iconic Pyramid stage next summer. 

A source told the publication: "Rihanna has been approached about Glastonbury and next year’s festival would be just the right timing for her.

"She is a huge name for Worthy Farm and would be the perfect addition to the line-up.

"Everything about Rihanna’s music comeback is being closely guarded but her team has been talking with the Eavis family."

Fans have been waiting for new music for years - and in recent weeks the global appetite for more from the beauty and fashion mogul has been satiated. She recently released her new song Lift Me Up for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack and confirmed that she will be headlining the Super Bowl next year, too.

And now a potential pop-in at Glastonbury? 

It would be her first gig at the iconic Somerset festival, and in the past Rihanna has spoken about her dream of performing for the Glastonbury crowd, saying: "I’d love to play Glastonbury. I have heard so many things about what happens there.

"I love rock music. I love Kings of Leon and The Prodigy. I like the more traditional rock bands, too: Aerosmith and Bon Jovi.

"I could rock the stage at Glastonbury, no question."

Agreed. 

Rihanna fans, the time might have finally come. After teasing her return to music over the past few years - amidst launching her lingerie, make-up and luxury fashion brands - the Barbadian singer could finally drop her first single in years this Friday. 

While details are thin on the ground, Marvel broke her fanbase when they revealed a cryptic video teaser for the upcoming Black Panther sequel Wakanda Forever yesterday. Towards the end of the clip, an R floated to the centre of the frame followed by the date 10. 28. 2022. (That’s American for 28th October.)

Although Marvel is playing coy, many believe the video means Rihanna will finally be releasing music again. It doesn’t seem to be completely unfounded, as a New York Times journalist previously shared on Twitter, “Rumours are flying and I can add to them: I’ve been hearing for weeks that Rihanna is recording the end-credits song for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’

It might not be a full Rihanna album, but it’s a step in the right direction - especially given the singer will be headlining the Super Bowl next year. The last time Rihanna graced us with a full studio album was back in 2016 when she released Anti, though she did feature on a PartyNextDoor song called Believe It back in 2020.

Rihanna herself hasn’t confirmed nor denied the rumours for Friday, as she’s been busy plugging her upcoming Savage x Fenty show. As the fourth instalment of her innovative fashion shows, which typically merge together performances and fashion, was teased by the singer yesterday as well. She shared a video promoting the event, accompanied by the caption, “Countdown starts now…”

It appears she’s also recruited a number of big names this time around, with the likes of models Joan Smalls, Precious Lee and Cara Delevingne set to strut down the catwalk. 

Adding fuel to the rumours regarding a possible Black Panther track, she also shared that Marvel stars Winston Duke, who played M’Baku in the first Black Panther, and Shang-Chi’s Simu Liu will also feature.

Rihanna received the honour of all honours at this year's Met Gala 2022.

The 34-year-old singer-actor-mogul skipped this year's annual event, which saw celebrities don their finery to grace the exclusive event, as she is expecting her first child with boyfriend ASAP Rocky.

However, the Fenty founder was not forgotten, as Vogue and the Met Gala pulled out all the stops to pay tribute to the Diamonds hitmaker - and we're here for it.

The Met and Vogue erected a statue of Rihanna showing off her baby bump in all its glory in New York's longstanding museum, after Rihanna was the cover of the magazine.

They shared a video of the statue on Instagram, which was captioned: "The statue of “Eirene (The Personification of Peace)” is usually the highest-profile marble goddess @themetmuseum Greco-Roman galleries. But now we’ve got @badgalriri, straight off this month’s Vogue cover."

Rihanna shared the clip, and appeared to be blown away by the gesture.

She captioned her post: ""Shut down the met in marble! what’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one!"

Rihanna's post has received over one million views, and plenty of comments from fans impressed by the statue.

One commented: "Could be the most famous pregnant lady of all time..."

Rihanna recently opened up about juggling her personal life with work.

Speaking previously to Vogue magazine, she said: "Balance is one of my biggest challenges and always has been.

"And now there’s another human being coming into play, it changes what that means again. Still, I have businesses that aren’t going to run themselves. My mom handled the three of us with not even close to the amount of resources that I have, so I can absolutely do it.”

The show, which is set to be a far more intimate affair than the AW16 debut collection that was staged at New York Fashion Week in February, will be available live on the music streaming site to members and non-members; catch the presentations, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage at 7:30 or 8:30 pm (or both for mega-fans).

The singer-slash-designer also took a turn in the director’s chair for the latest Puma x Fenty ad campaign, for which she cast her pal Cara Delevingne. After posting a series of teasers on social media, Puma confirmed on Tuesday that Cara is the new face – or should that be abdominals - of its ‘Do You’ women’s campaign. Aiming ‘to inspire confidence in women everywhere’, Cara’s spirited attitude perfectly personifies the brand’s new slogan:

‘To “Do You” is to take ownership of yourself and finding the power within that ownership — it’s a very powerful statement,’ the model said. ‘It’s about accepting who you are, no matter your faults. “Do You” is about finding your truth and sticking to it. I think it’s so special because it means something different for everyone. It specifically encourages people to be themselves.’

Cara’s remarkably toned physique comes courtesy of her intense training regime for her forthcoming Luc Besson-directed film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. She’s also a true fan of the brand, having infamously donned a pair of Fenty x Puma creepers to the White House in January.

The plucky campaign was inspired by Rihanna who once said 'I dare myself to make things work. I don’t do things for the response or controversy. I just live my life', and intends to ‘create a conversation that encourages women to be confident, motivated, and never willing to compromise.’ With this in mind, the other powerful females appearing alongside Cara include Mimi Staker and Olivia Boisson of the New York City Ballet; German athletes Alexandra Wester and Tatjana Pinto, and Cuban volleyball players Leila Consuelo Ortega Martinez and Lianma Flores Stable.

As well as the can’t-keep-them-in-stock fur slides; the athleisure line will arrive in stores from now until December. Now there’s a Christmas present that will inspire us to keep up the good gym work next year (or at least consider joining one).
