Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were forced to leave Westfield Large in May 2019 after paparazzi photographs of the inside of their home were published, posing a security threat.

According to reports, Harry may release a documentary in 2027 to mark the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's death. However, his rumoured plans may not go down well with William; sources told Radar Online that Harry could release a series as part of his recently renewed contract with Netflix, but William would be "far less welcome" to the idea. In fact, the insiders allege that the Prince of Wales would retaliate if this were to happen, and it would crush any remaining hope of reconciliation between the estranged brothers.

They told the publication: "If he hears Harry is doing a warts-and-all film on their mom, he will want to do a gentler one. The 30th anniversary of Di's death could turn into a battle of their documentaries. It would also mean William would probably cut Harry out of his life forever."

A second source added: "If Harry is now going to do another massive Netflix show, effectively claiming her legacy, William will have to fight back, whether that's with an interview or a documentary of his own. The whole situation is just very sad."

Harry recently shared that he wishes for reconciliation with his family, more than five years after he left the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle. The couple detailed the reasons behind their decision to relocate to the US in their Netflix docu-series, Harry & Meghan, citing royal fallouts and fears for their safety.

In a new interview with PEOPLE, Princess Diana's former private secretary Patrick Jephson has claimed that the late royal offered 'important warnings' to her sons through her own experiences within the monarchy. Jephson worked for Princess Diana between 1988 and 1996, acting first as her equerry before taking the role of private secretary.

During the interview, he told the publication: "If they study Princess Diana’s life carefully – and I hope they often do – William, Harry and their advisers will know that she left them many good examples to follow and also a few important warnings to heed. Public affection and the rich rewards of royalty must be earned with self-sacrifice and service."

He added: "I'm sure they are grateful that every day she can still guide, comfort and inspire them along the difficult path they were born to follow."

Although the Princes are currently estranged, Jephson noted that both William and Harry are united when it comes to continuing their mother's work. In 2021, eighteen months after the Duke of Sussex left royal life behind and relocated to the US with his family, Harry and William made a public stand of unity to unveil the Princes Diana statue at Kensington Palace.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had renewed their multimedia deal with Netflix. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex initially signed a contract with the streaming platform in 2020, worth a reported $100 million, and in the years that followed the couple created various shows - from their tell-all documentary, Harry & Meghan, to the lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.

Just last month, sources had claimed that the couple would not be renewing their contract with Netflix. However, it has since been announced that Harry and Meghan have signed a "multi-year, first-look deal" with the platform - though one of the key differences between their renewed deal and their previous contract means that Netflix will have the power to approve or refuse the content that they create.

While it's good news for fans of the Sussexes, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has claimed that the royal family will have fresh "concerns" over the content that Harry and Meghan create for Netflix in the future. Harry has spoken openly about his fractured relationship with Prince William, and his hopes to reconcile with King Charles, but Fitzwilliams alleges that the royal household will have fears that another tell-all documentary could be "damaging". He told The Express: "This will concern the Royal Family as they don’t trust the Sussexes and they did it (a damaging series) before."

The release of Harry & Meghan back in 2022, as well as Harry's best-selling memoir Spare, reportedly caused further divide between the families with some royal experts claiming that William will "never, ever forgive" Harry. But the Duke of Sussex recently made a public plea to reunite with his father during an interview with the BBC, stating: "I would love reconciliation with my family. Prince William and Prince Harry have been estranged for a number of years now following the Duke of Sussex's decision to step down from his royal role. After relocating to the US with his wife, Meghan Markle, Harry discussed the breakdown of his familial ties in various interviews, documenting his fractured relationship with William in his bestselling memoir, Spare.

In recent reports, many royal insiders have claimed that William has no interest in reconciling with Harry and has already made a tough decision about his younger brother's involvement in his future coronation. However, it seems that the distant Princes could well be forced to come face to face sooner than expected. William and Harry's cousin, Peter Phillips, announced his engagement to Harriet Sperling last week. Although the couple are yet to set a date, it is expected that William and Harry will both receive invites to the royal affair given that they both grew up with Peter, and it has been reported that both brothers have a good relationship with their cousin. The last time that the three were seen together in public was for the late Prince Philip's funeral procession in 2021, and later at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022.

If William and Harry attend the royal wedding, it could bring them one step closer to reuniting. Harry and his father, King Charles, already appear to be building bridges; last month, their aides were spotted engaging in 'peace talks' at a private members club - although William's absence was noted, with one insider telling the Daily Mail: "I’d be surprised if William wasn’t aware that it was going ahead. Since Prince William was already attending, Harry's attendance - and therefore the rare reunion with his estranged brother - would have majorly distracted from the bride and groom on their big day. Secondly, the simple fact of Harry's location in California makes him a less obvious choice for godfather than his brother William, who lives close by in the UK.

The reason there's speculation about one of the royal brothers becoming godfather to Cosima in the first place is that Hugh is himself godfather to Prince George, and is also thought to be godfather to Prince Archie. Meanwhile, King Charles is Hugh's godfather, and Hugh's mum is William's godmother.

The royals traditionally have many godparents each, and many of the senior royals are also godparents to many children themselves. For example, William has at least three godchildren, while Harry has said that he's godfather to "five or six" children. Prince George has a whopping seven godparents, Princess Charlotte has five, and Prince Louis has six. It's not known exactly how many godparents Prince Archie has, but four people have been named in reports as having that privilege. Again, it's not known how many godparents Princess Lilibet has, but we do know that her parents' friend Tyler Perry is her godfather.

Prince Harry has made it clear that he's willing to make up with his royal relatives recently, and by the sounds of it, he's continuing on that trajectory towards potential peace. In latest news, the Duke of Sussex has allegedly "offered to share his official diary engagements with the Royal Family," as reported by the Daily Mail.

This move, if true, is a real olive branch, whose aim is to avoid Harry's public engagements clashing with major royal moments - which can lead to both camps fighting for media coverage and one overshadowing the other. The most salient example of this recently was when Harry visited Angola, retracing his late mother's steps in a minefield there, which of course was a deeply poignant moment that prompted a lot of press coverage. However, the visit coincided with the Queen's 78th birthday, and the portrait that was shared of her for the occasion drew very little attention. Harry offering his schedule would hopefully prevent this kind of clash in the future.

This news follows a fairly historic meeting between two reps for the Sussexes and one for Buckingham Palace earlier this month. King Charles' press secretary Tobyn Andreae, Sussex PR rep Liam Maguire and Sussex CCO Meredith Maines all met at a private members' club in London. The meeting showed that the King is open to a potential reconciliation; however, Prince William's exclusion is equally telling.

One insider told the Daily Mail at the time: "Tobyn Andreae is director of communications for the whole royal household so in that sense could be seen to be representing the Prince and Princess of Wales but, in reality, they run their own operation. Many things have been said that probably everyone regrets but if there is reconciliation, it’s likely that William and Kate are going to be a tougher nut to crack than the King."

They added: "I’d be surprised if William wasn’t aware that it was going ahead. His office and Team Sussex have coordinated in the past, even when the two brothers weren’t speaking, over events for the Diana Award or the unveiling of the Diana statue. But relations have been increasingly strained even at that level between the Sussexes and both the King’s and William’s offices."

Harry previously said in a BBC interview that he "would love reconciliation" with his father and family. Their relationships have been deeply strained since the Duke and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2020, then went on to make explosive revelations about the royals in the media. But according to one former royal butler, the Duke of Sussex could potentially be "quite keen" for his two young children to eventually experience a British education.

Speaking with Study Dog, Grant Harrold said that he could definitely see Harry wanting Archie and Lili to attend university or school in the UK at some point in the future. "It's very likely and completely possible," Grant said. "If they have their younger education in America, I'm sure their father will be quite keen to have a bit of a British education. But then it depends on how the relationship is with the rest of the family when the time comes."

It seems unlikely at the moment that Harry and Meghan would move back to the UK themselves, which would leave the option of boarding school for the children — but this has become a less and less popular option for royals in recent years. University, though, that could definitely be on the cards when Archie and Lilibet reach that age. And with "peace talks" between Sussex team members and a rep for Buckingham Palace happening last week, the ground could be laid for the Sussexes to make up with the rest of the royals — which would certainly make British schooling for their children easier.

Though it's still unknown exactly where Prince George will attend school once he finishes at Lambrook, a quote from earlier this year suggested that his parents Prince William and Princess Kate may choose to opt out of boarding school for their eldest. "Personally, I think it would be brilliant if they completely broke with tradition and, indeed, their own school background and sent all three the children to a day school for the rest of their education," royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror in January. "That really would signal that this royal couple intend to do things differently."

We'll just have to wait and see where Archie, Lilibet, and their royal cousins end up for secondary school and university.

But make no mistake: William believes with every fibre of his being that giving Harry and Meghan back any royal imprimatur is a huge mistake."

While it's unclear exactly what the goal of the "peace talks" may have been, it's certainly a positive step for Harry's relationship with his father — whether personal or official. "There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years," a source previously told the Mail (via NBC News). That's likely cause to celebrate for the two men, but one thing seems clear: William would like to be excluded from this narrative.

Prince Harry's expected "olive branch" to the Royal Family puts senior members such as King Charles and Prince William in a difficult position, according to royal experts. Ever since it was announced that the 2027 Invictus Games would be held in Birmingham, UK, there has been mounting speculation about the royals' attendance - because although their relationship with Harry is deeply strained, it could negatively impact their image if they skipped such an important event so close to home.

In the last few days, royal insiders have claimed that the Duke of Sussex will include the royals on his Invictus guest list, with a source telling the Mail on Sunday: "Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family... [he] is hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans. The royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him which might be reciprocated."

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, writing in the Express, is less hopeful about the situation. He writes: "This clearly places the King in an extremely difficult position, which is precisely what it is meant to do and probably why the venue was chosen. He is Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Invictus is a major military charity. Also, as head of state, he is a symbol of national unity. If he accepts, he would be putting duty above what obviously is a painful public rift between him and his family and the Sussexes. It will be argued that that is his job."

The Invictus Games, established by Prince Harry in 2014, see wounded and sick military personnel compete in a series of athletic competitions. And of course, as pointed out by the royal expert, the military is central to the functioning of the Royal Family. In this way, per Fitzwilliams: "The invitation to attend Invictus represents a direct challenge to King Charles."

It is currently unclear if members of the royal family would accept this invitation, but given that the event is still two years away the estranged father and son may have formally reunited by then.

Prince Harry is gearing up to host the Invictus Games in his home country in 2027. That year, the (typically) annual event he founded in 2014 is scheduled to take place in Birmingham, which under normal circumstances would make it easy for the Duke of Sussex's family members to attend. However, as Harry's royal relationships have deteriorated over the last five years it's unclear whether we can expect them to show up for the event and support the Prince in a public capacity.

Still, senior royals such as Prince William, Princess Kate, King Charles and Queen Camilla are reportedly set to be invited, according to one source who spoke to the Mail on Sunday. The insider claimed: "Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family. Invictus hopes the Royal Family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part. The impending invitation puts the royals in an interesting position, as they've largely managed to avoiding crossing paths with Harry for a while now. But, as one royal expert points out, attending the event would be good PR for the royal family, and could actually help to bring the estranged family members together. Ingrid Seward told the publication: "The King might attend to show support for the Armed Forces and congratulate Harry on the most significant success in his life. The only reason the King is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past. This goes for all the working members of the family."

Meanwhile, royal expert Katie Nicholl said: "The King absolutely wants a relationship with his youngest son and with his grandchildren. He has an incredible capacity for forgiveness and he wants to be magnanimous in all of this and therefore there's certainly a possibility that the King might consider attending Invictus."

None of the senior royals attended the 10th anniversary celebrations for Invictus, which were held at St. Paul's Cathedral in London last year, despite reportedly being invited. It remains unclear whether the 2027 Games will change anything, as a reunion between Harry and William has previously been called "unlikely."

Prince Harry is all set to return to the UK for a special event, but there's little chance of a Royal Family reunion according to insiders. The Duke of Sussex will be coming back to his home country in the summer of 2027 to attend the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham as confirmed by the organisation's official social media accounts on Tuesday. The Games took place in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, in 2025, and while the 2027 Games host city is confirmed, next year's event doesn't seem to have been scheduled just yet.

Under ordinary circumstances, it would go without saying that senior royals like King Charles and Queen Camilla, and Prince William and Princess Kate, would attend such a high-profile event organised by one of their own family members - particularly when it's taking place here in the UK. However, given Harry's fractured relationship with his father and brother, GB News points out that it's "unlikely" we'll witness a heartfelt family reunion in Birmingham. Likewise, senior royals skipped the 10-year anniversary celebration for the Invictus Games in 2024, even though it was held on their doorstep at St. Paul's Cathedral in London.

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games back in 2014 after being inspired by the Warrior Games in the U.S. The international event sees active and veteran members of the armed forces who are sick, injured or wounded compete in a series of athletic events, and they are now an annual celebration.

While many are dubious that there could be a Royal Family reunion in 2027, one PR expert previously argued that it would be in William and Charles' best public interest to attend Invictus that year. Ryan McCormick told the Mirror U.S. in February: "I think the Royal Family should attend the event (it's good PR for them) and should also include Harry. When respected leaders and figureheads can show that differences can be put aside, it can inspire others to do the same. Hard times are almost always guaranteed but, so can be the unwavering love and bond between family."

During a recent visit to the Army Air Corps in Sussex, the Prince of Wales gave an unfortunate hint as to how much we can really hope for a brotherly reunion in the near future. Joking with the troops about how often they see their nearest and dearest, William said: "Some of them might not want to see you that much. It's a mixed bag."

Princess Diana may not have lived to meet her grandchildren, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are raising their little ones with plenty of homages to their late grandmother. The latest example of this came when the Duchess of Sussex shared some adorable family photos taken at Disneyland in Southern California - where she, Harry and their son Prince Archie, 6, headed for a fun couple of days celebrating their daughter Princess Lilibet's 4th birthday.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Meghan shared the loveliest montage of her family having the best time at the theme park - which included a mix of photos and short videos. All of this shows the family of four enjoying lots of different rides, meeting Disney characters, sporting Disney merch, and enjoying classic Disneyland snacks such as corn dogs. The Duchess captioned the post: "Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!"

But there's one photo in particular that has caught eagle-eyed royal watchers' attention: the one of Harry and Meghan on the ride formerly known as Splash Mountain. Archie and Lili don't appear in that photo — it's possible that they didn't meet the height requirement for the ride, or simply weren't in front of the camera on that occasion.

While these days this ride is known as Tiana's Bayou Adventure (based on the 2009 Disney film The Princess and the Frog), this wasn't Harry's first time on the log flume. In fact, the Prince experienced the same ride at Disneyland Florida circa 1993, when he was just eight years old.

At the time, Harry rode Splash Mountain with mum Princess Diana and brother Prince William, then 11, as reported by People. And if you're wondering how the high-profile royals were able to visit the park, the answer is rather surprising. Splash Mountain was closed off to the rest of the public while they were on it, and they reportedly reached it via secret underground tunnels. A waiter who encountered the royals back then told the publication: "They were all very nice, very well behaved. She was a sweetheart."

Like many A-listers, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tend to shield their two children from the public eye as much as possible. Over the years, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have only shared tiny glimpses into their lives with Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. While we have seen a few photos of the two children as they've grown up, they're often shielded aside from celebratory birthday pictures.

However, to mark Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday today, Wednesday 4th June, the young royal's mum Meghan posted a sweet photo of herself holding Lilibet via her Instagram account. Meghan posted two black and white photos; the first, taken by the sea, captures the mum and daughter sweetly hugging with windswept hair. In the photo, Lili appears to be wearing a sundress with a geometric pattern, and in the second photo Meghan is holding Lili as a tiny baby while lying down in bed.

The proud mum of two captioned the photo: "Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!" Like with all posts on Meghan's recently active Instagram account, the comments have been disabled. However, we're certain that, if they could, Sussex fans would all be in agreement over how much little Lili looks like her dad, Harry.

Lilibet was born in the U.S. on 4th June 2021, and was named as an homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Harry's grandmother, whose nickname was Lilibet. Her middle name is Diana, as a nod to her late grandmother, Princess Diana. Her brother Archie Harrison was born in the UK on 6 May 2019 while his parents were still working royals.

Prince Harry and Prince William have reportedly not spoken in over two years now, and at this point that may never change according to royal experts. One royal historian has now spoken about the likelihood of a reconciliation between the once-close royal brothers, but they claim that there is very little chance of a reunion.

"There is no relationship. Bridges have been burned on both sides," royal historian Marlene Koenig told Us Weekly as part of a new report on the state of the brothers' relationship. The expert claimed that the Prince of Wales has no trust left in the Duke of Sussex, and that this makes speaking to him almost impossible. "For William, there’s a fear that Harry would go to the press and talk about what was said between them if he speaks to him."

Royal commentator Richard Fitzsimmons agreed with that assessment, adding: "The royals don’t trust the Sussexes and their relationship with the media. William cannot forgive Harry for having betrayed the royal family in destructive interviews and a memoir while at the same time ruthlessly monetising their royal connections in the U.S."

Meanwhile, an anonymous source added that William was "absolutely appalled" by Harry's recent comments about King Charles' health. In a recent interview with the BBC, Harry expressed that he wants to reconcile with his family, explaining: "There's no point in continuing to fight anymore... Life is precious, I don't know how much longer my father has, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff." However, according to the source, this comment means that there's now "no turning back for William".

The brothers' relationship remains fractured, more than five years after Harry and Meghan's royal exit and move to California. While Harry reportedly extended an "olive branch" to William and Kate on a recent trip to the UK, royal insiders allegedly know not to mention Harry around William, who has already decided not to invite Harry to his coronation in the future.

When Prince Harry first introduced Meghan Markle to his mother's side of the family, it didn't go at all as planned according to one royal author. The biographer claims that Harry was hoping that Princess Diana's sisters would see the similarities between Meghan and the late Princess of Wales, but that's not how things turned out.

"Harry assumed that Diana's family and friends would see a similarity between Diana and his fiancée," Tom Bower wrote in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, (via the Mirror). "Both, he said, shared the same problems. He was so disappointed."

According to Tom: "No one agreed that his vulnerable mother had anything in common with his girlfriend. More discomforting for him, they thought Meghan would not fit in with the Royal Family."

Diana grew up with three siblings, all of whom are still alive today: Cynthia Jane, known as Lady Jane Fellowes; Elizabeth Sarah Lavinia, known as Lady Sarah McCorquodale; and Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer. The latter walked with Prince William, Prince Harry, the then-Prince Charles and Prince Philip behind Diana's coffin in 1997. But the Spencers seemingly missing the similarities between Diana and Meghan didn't change Harry's mind about her. In the 2022 docu-series Harry & Meghan, the Duke of Sussex said: "So much of what Meghan is, and how she is, is so similar to my mum. She has the same compassion, she has the same empathy, she has the same confidence. She has this warmth about her."

After the documentary was released, a body language expert confirmed that Harry was being incredibly sincere while saying this. "When Harry was speaking about Meghan, I did not see any signs of deceptive behaviour or that he was faking his emotions for the cameras," Darren Stanton told Marie Claire UK at the time. "His body language and behaviour seems to be totally congruent with what he is thinking. From his non-verbal communication, it’s apparent that he truly believes Meghan is similar to Diana."

Despite the Spencers' view on it all, the Duchess of Sussex has continually paid tribute to her late mother-in-law for years, honouring her legacy and her husband's memory of his mother. Meghan nodded to Diana with her impressive cathedral wedding veil, and has also honoured her in subtle ways through her podcast, her TV show, and her fashion.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's use of royal titles has been widely discussed since their decision to step away from royal duties in 2020. The couple, who now live in the US with their two children, remain known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex although the use of their HRH titles have been a point of contention. However, a new report has claimed that Harry once considered changing his surname and consulted his uncle for advice.

This weekend, a report in The Mail alleged that the Duke of Sussex visited his uncle during a trip to the UK to discuss the potential challenges of legally changing his surname to Spencer. Famously, Spencer is the maiden name of his late mother, Princess Diana, and the publication claims that Harry turned to her brother, Earl Charles Spencer, to seek advice about legal changes to his name, and if it would be possible. However, Harry's uncle reportedly told him that changing his surname would be 'insurmountable'. An insider told the paper: "They had a very amicable conversation and Spencer advised him against taking such a step."

Harry's surname, Mountbatten-Windsor, was passed down to him by the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. It combines the Royal Family's official name (Windsor) and Prince Philip's adopted surname (Mountbatten), and is also the surname listed on the birth certificates of Harry and Meghan's two young children, Archie and Lilibet.

Over the last five years, the Prince has spoken about his fractured relationships with members of the royal family, including his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William. However, in a recent interview for the BBC he expressed his hopes that there will be a reconciliation in the future, stating: "There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious."

The Times confirmed that Harry and Charles haven't seen each other since the Prince flew over to the UK to visit his father following his cancer diagnosis, in February 2024. The outlet also verified that Harry's relationship with his older brother Prince William is almost certainly "beyond repair."

The report alleges that Harry's public denouncements of the Royal Family — in Spare, and in his and Meghan Markle's Netflix docuseries — have created a rift which is nearly impossible to bridge at this stage. Both his father and his brother are loath to forgive him for it, with William particularly refusing to recover their relationship. Meanwhile, a former friend of Harry's told Hello! last week: "He needs the world to forgive him. His family have never bent on their stance, which is that he should not take up issues in public."

A second source said at the time: "There is zero trust. The family feels that private conversations with Harry are not possible."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from royal life shocked the world back in 2020. At the time, the couple had only just moved into Frogmore Cottage and had welcomed their son, Archie, less than a year before. However, rumours of a royal rift between Princes Harry and William had been mounting, and in an off-hand comment during their 2019 royal tour in Africa, Meghan admitted she was struggling.

Since then, Harry and Meghan have spoken candidly about their decision to leave the UK in both their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, and in their infamous tell-all with Oprah. But in his book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, royal author Andrew Morton - who famously penned Diana: Her True Story in 1992 - writes that a photograph of young Prince George shared days before, inadvertently, the catalyst for Harry and Meghan's move away from the monarchy.

According to Morton, when the Palace released a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles, Prince William and Prince George in the throne room on 3rd January 2020, it stirred some complicated feelings in the Sussexes. He writes: "The royal couple suspected that the entire institution was conspiring against them. As they saw it, the evidence was all around them. The unspoken code was straightforward: the future of the monarchy was assured, with or without Meghan and Harry."

The author adds that this particular photo of the heirs together acted as a 'wake-up call' for Harry and Meghan as they debated their place within the royal fold. Over the years, the Sussexes have spoken in detail about the building tension within the royal household ahead of their shock departure, and Morton elaborated on this during an episode of Pod Save The King podcast. He stated that the couple had been considering their options much earlier than most thought, saying: "Harry was having conversations in a London hotel with Oprah Winfrey back in November 2018, just six months after they'd been married. So they were thinking about a different direction of travel pretty early on."
