Last week, model and KORA Organics founder Miranda Kerr appeared on The Dr. Hyman Show, a popular functional-medicine podcast, to discuss her recent health journey and the lifestyle changes she believes have transformed her wellbeing. One shift, she explained, was cutting out synthetic fragrances entirely—so much so that she now has a strict no-fragrance policy in her home, rooted in her belief that such scents can cause “disruptions” in the body.

“I have a no-fragrance policy for anyone coming into my house because I don’t do that around my children,” Kerr said. “It’s really disturbing, to be honest, how unaware people are.”

Although she didn’t specify exactly what those bodily “disruptions” might be, she referenced her mother’s cancer diagnosis (Kerr was a teenager when her mother was diagnosed with a rare spleen cancer). Dr. Mark Hyman went further, drawing direct links between synthetic fragrances and cancer risk, hormone disruption, cumulative long-term exposure and regulatory gaps.

“As a doctor, I’m very aware of these things—links to cancer, reproductive health,” he said. “They’re often endocrine disruptors. They can mess with women’s hormones. They can be very toxic. And you’re not just doing it once—you’re exposed every day for decades. That’s what concerns me.”

These are undeniably alarming claims. Anyone listening could walk away feeling anxious, if not completely terrified. But are these warnings grounded in scientific evidence? Or do they border on sensationalism—attention-grabbing, scaremongering soundbites designed for clicks and virality? And, perhaps cynically, is it worth noting that both guests have a financial motive to make such claims—Kerr’s KORA Organics range that focuses on naturally-derived ingredients, and Dr. Hyman’s supplement brands and his functional-testing company offering $499 annual diagnostic memberships? Just a thought.

To cut through the noise, we reviewed every independent, peer-reviewed, double-blind study available—the gold-standard research—examining the potential negative health effects of fragrances. Here’s what we found.

Is Fragrance Toxic: The evidence for hormone disruption

One of the biggest claims made by Dr. Hyman was that synthetic fragrances are endocrine disruptors and interfere with women’s hormones. But the evidence paints a far less definitive picture (if not a different image entirely).

Most of the findings come from animal or in-vitro studies, where researchers test individual fragrance chemicals (not finished perfumes) in isolation. And, crucially, the doses used in these studies are vastly higher than anything a human would ever be exposed to through perfume, body lotion or cosmetics. We're talking 100 to 10,000 times higher.

Let's take synthetic musks as an example. One study found weak hormone-like activity in rodents when they were exposed to 15-150milligrams per day. By contrast, human exposure is measured in micrograms (that's 1000 to 10,000 times lower).

Another commonly contended fragrance molecule is phthalates, which in animal studies showed hormone disruption when exposed to 10 mg/kg to 750 mg/kg per day. Human exposure is typically less than 0.01 mg/kg/day—100 to 75,000 times lower.

So, the bottom line is that some fragrance ingredients can behave like hormone disruptors under extreme laboratory condition, but there is no evidence whatsoever that fragrance in its consumer form disrupts human hormones.

Is Fragrance Toxic: The evidence for cancer risk

Kerr and Dr Hyman repeatedly allude to a link between synthetic fragrance and cancer, but the actual evidence for this is extremely limited. Much like the hormone-disruption claims, the concerns stem from studies on individual fragrance chemicals—usually tested in isolation, and often in rodents—where certain ingredients have shown carcinogenic potential. But these effects appear only at exposure levels hundreds to thousands of times higher than anything humans would ever encounter through perfume or cosmetics.

Crucially, there are no double-blind human studies demonstrating that perfume or fragranced products increase cancer risk. Regulatory bodies across the EU, UK and US closely monitor fragrance ingredients, restricting or banning any with established carcinogenic properties. In other words, the scientific evidence simply does not support the sweeping cancer claims being made.

Is Fragrance Toxic: Other adverse effects

There are some proven adverse health effects associated with perfume, though they are far more benign than the sweeping claims made by Kerr and Dr Hyman. The issues documented in high-quality studies tend to involve skin reactions, eye or nasal irritation, and respiratory symptoms in people with asthma or heightened sensitivity. Importantly, while these symptoms can be uncomfortable, the research does not show systemic toxicity. Objective measures, such as lung function tests or markers of inflammation, generally remain unchanged, suggesting that these reactions are irritant or allergic in nature rather than signs of deeper harm.

But could there be a cumulative effect?

Kerr and Dr Hyman also emphasised the idea that while a single spritz of perfume may be tiny, spraying it every day could allow harmful chemicals to build up over time. In theory, cumulative exposure is possible, but only under very specific circumstances and with particular ingredients. Some older synthetic musks, such as galaxolide and tonalide, are what scientists call persistent: they can accumulate in fatty tissue, and trace amounts have been detected in human blood in bio-monitoring studies. But presence does not equal harm. The fact that a chemical is detectable doesn’t mean it’s doing anything harmful—especially when levels are extremely low.

To put this in perspective, many everyday plant foods we consider healthy (including tofu, soybeans, grapes, apples, flaxseed and sesame) contain natural bioactive compounds that interact with our hormones far more strongly than any perfume molecule ever could. After eating them, these plant compounds can also be detected in our blood, urine and even breast milk. Yet far from being dangerous, these foods are consistently linked to better health outcomes. In other words, detection alone isn’t a marker of toxicity; it’s simply a marker of exposure.

A note on synthetics vs. natural fragrances

On the show, Kerr explains that her no-fragrance policy doesn’t extend to essential oils or natural scents. She’s a fan of them, even saying she applies peppermint oil to her skin, "to help with sebum production”. It’s a familiar wellness narrative: natural equals safe, synthetic equals harmful. But scientifically, that distinction simply doesn’t stand up.

For starters, studies show similar results for synthetic and naturally-derived fragrances when it comes to irritation and allergy. Dermatology and allergy reviews consistently identify essential oils as some of the most common allergens in cosmetics, and often recommending that people with sensitive or eczema-prone skin avoid them altogether.

Several essential oils—most famously lavender and tea tree—have also demonstrated hormone-like effects in rodent and cell studies, just as some synthetic fragrance ingredients have. But, exactly as with synthetics, these effects appear only at very high concentrations, far beyond anything you’d encounter in a scented moisturiser or a few drops of oil.

The bottom line

Dr Hyman and Kerr’s claims simply aren’t supported by the evidence. Yes, perfume can irritate sensitive skin or trigger symptoms in people with asthma—but the sweeping warnings about cancer, hormone disruption and long-term toxicity just don’t hold up to scientific scrutiny.

So go ahead—spritz, sniff and enjoy your signature scent without fear.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have often spoken candidly about their relationship and how they navigate life as a blended family.

Katy and Orlando started dating in 2016, and in 2020 they welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove. 

But the couple haven't shied away from discussing the difficulties of maintaining a relationship in the spotlight. Following a brief split in 2017, Katy said the break-up had a 'seismic' impact on her. 

In a new interview with Flaunt magazine, Orlando shared just how 'challenging' it can be when it comes to managing their conflicting schedules, busy professional lives and individual creativity.

Katy is currently a celebrity judge on American Idol and also has her own Las Vegas residency, while Orlando has a starring role in the crime-fantasy show Carnival Row and is also producing a new movie, The Cut. 

He said: "We're in two very different pools. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands. Sometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won't lie."

Orlando also said that working in different industries can be tough, adding: "We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity."

However, he called Katy his 'baby mama and life partner', continuing: "I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment."

Throwing her wedding magazines in the bin turned out to be liberating. So did handing back her engagement ring and settling up the joint account she had shared with her ex. After 10 years with her abusive fiancé Adam*, Ruth walked away from the relationship. But despite feeling relief with the heartbreak, she had anxieties about finding love again.

“It was very difficult to think about what the future might look like, because I didn't feel great about myself,” says Ruth, now 34 and based in Newcastle. “I was worried that people might not like me because of my experiences. It took me a while to feel like I was a good person again.”

Feeling like ‘damaged goods’ after the end of a serious relationship is common, even if you haven’t suffered a serious trauma. As model Miranda Kerr tells Marie Claire UK in a recent cover interview, she felt cynical at the prospect of finding love after heartbreak. “I couldn't see myself meeting someone I wanted to settle down and have a family with,” says Miranda, reflecting on her 2013 divorce from actor Orlando Bloom. “At the time, I was dating here and there, and wasn’t taking anything seriously at all. Then I met Evan [Spiegel, who she’s now married to] and he really wanted to be in a serious, committed relationship. It was incredible to meet someone who was so committed in every way — to me, to his work, to his family.”

Dating coach and relationship expert Jo Barnett believes it’s possible to find a soulmate connection with three to five different people over the course of our lifetimes. “People can’t be ‘damaged goods’, they just have a past,” she says. “They've had a failed relationship and may have been through some trauma. To open yourself back up to love, you need to do the work on yourself and have some time on your own. Then you can start completely afresh.”

Before meeting her now-husband, Matthew*, Ruth worked hard to rebuild her self esteem. She moved closer to family, started yoga classes and, for the first time, focused on herself and what she wanted out of life. When she met Matthew online, she was upfront about the trauma she’d experienced in her previous relationship. “There was never any fear of judgement with him,” says Ruth. “Rather than feeling like someone with baggage, it was more that there were things from my past that he needed to be aware of.”

In Sex and the City, Charlotte York memorably states that it takes half the duration of the entire relationship to get over someone — but perhaps there is no failsafe formula after all. Ruth met Matthew just a few months after her split with Adam. “Because I’d found my self worth, moving on from Adam was an easier process in some ways. It wasn’t like we were going to get back together,” she says.

But moving on doesn’t necessarily mean meeting someone new. Stacey McCrear, 28 from London, has been single for almost two years after a two-year relationship with her ex, Luke*. Even though she’s had other relationships that have lasted twice as long, her breakup with Luke was the hardest. She believes it’s because the decision to end it was out of her control.

During a rough patch, Luke told Stacey that he wanted them to split. “Then he told me he’d been having doubts for six months — that was super out of the blue for me,” says Stacey. “He’d been talking about saving up for an engagement ring. It felt like a rug had been pulled from underneath me.”

Stacey has tried dating since for fun, but has decided she’s more focused on building a life that she loves. Keen to have a family one day, Stacey has decided that she’ll have a baby on her own at 35 if she is still single. “For a long time, I didn't want to meet anybody because I didn't want to go through it all again,” says Stacey. “If I meet someone eventually then great, but I know that I don’t need to find someone to be happy.”

It seems Stacey is not alone in the idea of self-love and staying single for the long term, following the breakdown of a serious relationship. Lucy Smith, 39 from Devon, doesn’t plan on falling in love again - and she feels the happiest she’s ever been. After two incredibly traumatic relationships - the first ending with her partner’s suicide - Lucy has been single for 10 years.

For a long time after her last serious relationship, Lucy struggled to imagine a positive future. Deep down, she felt that she was not worthy of love. She ended up going for men that would hurt her as it reflected this core belief. “I thought, will anybody ever love me again?” says Lucy. “I live in a very small town where everybody knows everybody else's business. I thought people would say, ‘watch out for her, her partner committed suicide — you might do the same’.”

When Lucy finally started confronting her past through massage therapy and daily meditation, she was able to transform her mindset. “It's just been... comfortable,” she says, reflecting on her more recent single years. “I know some people get anxious about spending a night in alone, but I’m different. I’m happy in my own company. I make myself laugh! I've got my own house, a good job and really good friends and family around me. I'm finally in a great place and I know that I'm worthy.”

When navigating dating after bereavement, it’s often not just your own heart that you have to think about. Clare Schoch lost her husband to cancer nearly five years ago after 16 years of marriage. “I still do all of my dating covertly,” says the 44-year-old from Gloucester. “I am in a relationship at the moment and my children are aware of it, but it's been incredibly difficult. Out of respect for my in-laws, I don't post on social media or talk about my partner.”

From Clare’s experience, bereavement can make you hyper aware of other people’s opinions. “If you wake up the day after your husband has died and think, ‘I don't want to be by myself tonight’, then do it,” she says. “If even after three thousand mornings you still don’t feel like dating, then that's fine too. Just do what you feel is right for yourself, rather than what you think other people expect.”

But this weekend it was the turn of Russian VS Angel Vita Sidorkina who exchanged vows with her millionaire boyfriend, Valerio Morabito, and it was every bit the lavish fairytale wedding that you would expect from a world famous model.

The couple invited a selection of A-listers to celebrate their union, and the ceremony reportedly took place with a backdrop that was made for Instagram - in an old palace off the coast of the Italian Amalfi. Fancy.

The nuptials started on Friday night with a poolside party, followed by the official ceremony the day after where Vita opted for a lace Zuhaur Murad dress with a gorgeous floor-length lace veil.

Despite the beautiful classic dress, Vita and Valerio decided to buck wedding tradition by ditching a multi-tiered wedding cake in favour of a huge single layered fancy covered in berries.

The entire wedding was a luxurious affair, with incredible outfit changes, famous guests and stunning Instagram-worthy views, and the couple looked ridiculously happy.

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury’s celebrity client list reads like a who’s who of the Hollywood elite. There’s Kim Kardashian-West, of course, there’s Cindy Crawford, there's Penelope Cruz... And now the beauty guru is collaborating with not one, but ALL of her A-list friends to create a new range of lipsticks – with each lending their name and their signature colour to the cosmetics queen.

That’s right, we’re talking about the first official Kim Kardashian-West lipstick (a caramel-y nude simply called Kim K.W.), plus other hues developed by Salma Hayeck, Emily Ratajkowski, Helena Bonham-Carter, Poppy Delevingne, Kate Bosworth, Miranda Kerr, Nicole Kidman and Sienna Miller, to name just a few.

Launching on 4th July, there are 16 celebrity collaborators in total for Charlotte’s Hot Lips range with each star giving a quirky name to their colour (we love Kidman's Kiss, which is a rose pink, Electric Poppy, a fuchsia, and Sexy Sienna, a hot tomato).

Priced at £23 each, the lipsticks will be available to buy in Charlotte’s flagship store and on her website. £1 from the profits of each sale will go to Women For Women International, plus there will be a hashtag #lipstickconfidence to raise awareness for the charity. 

'Lipstick is powerful,' says Charlotte Tilbury of what inspired the idea. 'It has the ability to completely change your state of mind: It can boost your confidence, pick you up when you’re feeling down, re-energise you, add instant glamour to any outfit and immediately enhance your beauty – there’s happiness in every tube!'

Every celebrity in Hollywood attended the Saint Laurent fashion show last night as designer Hedi Slimane was the first designer to present his vision for autumn, officially kicking off fashion month.

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Alexa Chung, Jessica Alba, Courtney Love, Dakota Fanning and many, many more A-listers rocked up (literally) for the occasion, with most wearing pieces from the current Saint Laurent collection. See all the pictures in the gallery above.

Here’s what you need to know…

1. The Collection Was A Rockstar’s Dream Wardrobe As ever, Hedi Slimane took his inspiration from California’s alt rock music scene – a little bit grunge and a little bit Seventies, with a whole lot of skinny neck ties, leather jackets and wide suede belts. Models were achingly cool wearing Slimane’s signature attitude, their dishevelled style more glammed-up than usual with glitter-blitzed eyelids completing the beauty look. The show gives us a taster of what to expect from the brand’s Paris Fashion Week show on 7th March and was a mix of the men’s AW16 and women’s pre-AW16 collections.

2. The Front Row Raised The Bar For Fashion Month Demi Moore! Miranda Kerr! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley! The A-listers just kept on coming on the red carpet at LA’s Palladium theatre, forming the starriest front row we think we’ve ever seen. Lady Gaga mingled with Sylvester Stallone, Joan Jett met Justin Bieber… the potential collaborations spawned on the night are endlessly entertaining.

3. Saint Laurent Face Dylan Lee Was There Pamela Anderson’s son and designer Hedi Slimane’s latest Cali rock muse, Dylan Lee, attended with his mum and older brother, Blue Steel Brandon. Now that’s what we call a family portrait.

4. After the show, It Was The After Party… There were performances from everyone from Joan Jett to Beck, officially confirming that Hedi Slimane throws the coolest parties in the business. How can he possibly top this for Paris Fashion Week? We can't wait to find out...

The Casting Designer Nicholas Ghesquiere picked his model line-up five days ago, casting new house-favourites Fernanda Ly (she of candyfloss hair) and Alexandra Elizabeth Ljadov over a line up of supers. This is the place to spot a rising star.

The Hair And Make-Up Look Make up artist Pat McGrath and hair stylist Paul Hanlon whipped up Vuitton’s SS16 beauty look – a mixture of rough and slick elements, trademarked with those statement lower lash clusters.

The Set Built in the brand’s shiny new Louis Vuitton Fondation, a series of big screen projections moved around the space, beaming futuristic lights as the models emerged.

The All-Fashion Guestlist From supermodel Miranda Kerr to blogging sensation Leandra Medine, the front row at today’s show was almost all industry insiders –without a single Kardashian in sight. Refreshing right?

The Collection Itself The first look, a bubblegum pink leather jacket edged up with patent black tape, really set the tone for today’s pretty tough show. Unravelling shiny knits, Victoriana white cotton ruffles and heavy metal zippers were all tied together with beautiful oversized stitch patterns, for what felt like a fresh and super-covetable collection. 

The Accessories Chunky great creeper sandals, leather bandage knuckle dusters, and metal pipe chokers completed the tough-girl vibe. The new IT-bag shapes to know? Take your pick from the top handled clutch, seen dangling like tasselled tea bags from every girl’s wrist, or the oversized drawstring rucksack. It’s quite like those Kappa ones you used to carry in the 90s, but re-imagined in pleated glossy leather. This is what every cool girl will want come summer.

The model threw a very successful bash to mark her partnership with the global jewellery brand.

Miranda Kerr hosted a very glamorous dinner party with Swarovski. The glitzy event took place at Kristallwelten and was organised to celebrate the model's appointment as a design collaborator for a new jewellery collection.

Naturally, the do had a guest-list made up of global and local friends of Swarovski including blogger and socialite Bryan Boy, photographer and stylist Margaret Zhang and Brazilian actress Giovanna Ewbank.

The VIPs were treated to delicious cocktails while they explored the newly re-opened museum in Wattens, Austria. They then dined on a sumptuous five-course meal at the venue's new restaurant Daniel's.

Keen to look her best for the special occasion, Miranda dazzled in a sensational dress. The white design featured an asymmetric hem and a structured sheer panel down the front of her chest.

She paired the show-stopping piece with a pair of dainty gold sandals that added inches to her already statuesque frame. Jealous.

The 32-year-old Australian beauty - who accessorised with shimmering Swarovski gems, of course - pulled her impossibly glossy brown hair over one shoulder for a glamorous finish.

During the evening, Miranda took to the stage with the world-renowned jewellery brand's executive board and family member Robert Buchbauer.

She beamed as she explained how pleased she was to strengthen her bond with Swarovski.

Obviously thrilled by the success of the dinner party, Miranda shared a selfie with a couple of guests on Instagram and was snapped taking pictures with Hara Katsiki

Berlin-based DJ Hara kept the crowd entertained by spinning some of Miranda's favourite tunes on his decks.

On Monday Kim Kardashian stepped out with hubby Kanye wearing a chic long grey coat, nude Alexander Wang heels, and naturally, a Hermes bag complete with baby North’s hand-print.

It turns out the toddler painted the bag – which can cost up to £45,000 – for Kim’s birthday. Kim was clearly thrilled to be giving it the first public outing, as she later shared a pap shot on her Instagram account with the caption 'wearing my favourite bag painted by my little North'.

Brit girls Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn join the ranks of the super-rich supermodels.

Gisele Bündchen has been named the world’s highest paid model for the eighth year in a row - but newcomers Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn are catching her up. Well, sort of anyway.

According to Forbes’ newly released list of The World’s Highest-Paid Models, the Brazilian super-beauty earned $47 million (£28 million) in 2014, thanks to contracts with Balenciaga, H&M, Isabel Marant, Pantene, Oral-B, Stuart Weitzman and Chanel, as well as takings from her lingerie line and jelly shoe designs for Grendene.

Gisele took home five times more than the models in joint second place, Victoria’s Secret Angels Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima, who ‘only’ made $8 million each in the last 12 months.

But Cara and Jourdan both made it onto the list for the first time ever this year, thanks to a slew of high profile designer deals with brands including Mulberry, DKNY and Yves Saint Laurent Beauty. Surprisingly, Jourdan earned slightly more than her BFF, thanks to commercial mega-deals with Next and Boden.

The best of the Brits though was, unsurprisingly, Kate Moss who came in joint third place with Kate Upton, Liu Wen and Miranda Kerr; each estimated to have taken home $7million in the last 12 months.

21 supermodels feature, but notable absentees include Lara Stone, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Naomi Campbell.

Miranda Kerr talks morning rituals, showering habits and make-up

One of the hottest supermodels on the planet, Miranda Kerr has kindly shared her beauty wisdom with the world, outlining an extensive morning preening routine that she insists only takes 15 minutes.

‘I’m often asked how I incorporate my favourite KORA Organics products into my morning beauty routine,’ she writes on her blog. ‘I usually have very little time in the mornings, especially with a toddler [her son, Flynn, is three years old] so with these simple skin and beauty steps I can get out the door in 15 minutes.’

In those 15 precious minutes, Miranda apparently crams in dry body brushing, showering, moisturising, hair styling and full make-up application - and still has time left over to make a smoothie before she leaves the house. Impressive, right?

Here's just a small extract from Miranda’s speed-friendly regime:

On waking up beautiful: ‘I drink a glass of warm water with the juice of half an organic lemon each morning. Warm lemon water in the morning helps kick start the digestion process for the rest of the day.’

On pre-shower body brushing: 'Dry body brushing is an integral part of my daily regime. It’s a great way to get the circulation going, remove dead skin cells, aid lymphatic drainage, detoxify your system and keep your skin smooth all over. I start with my feet and legs and work my way up in quick gentle strokes… it needn’t be too time consuming and just takes a few minutes before jumping into the shower.'

On showering: 'I multitask in the shower and cleanse both my face and body. I like to use KORA Organics Foaming Cleanser for my face – it’s a gentle, soap free, foaming cleanser formulated to gently cleanse the skin of impurities. On hair: 'I wash my hair in the evening so it can dry naturally overnight, then all I have to do in the morning is style it. At the moment I prefer a low braid or a high topknot, as they both require little time and effort but still look feminine and polished.'

On make-up: '[After foundation] I like to define my lashes and groom my eyebrows because the eyes really frame the face. I apply two to three coats of mascara. To finish off my look I apply lip balm if I want a more natural look, or a tint or lipstick in a shade of red if I want to make more of a statement – the red also brightens my complexion instantly.'

She revealed they asked her to lend her vocal chords to the song after seeing her croon during a Japanese ice tea advert back in 2012.

'They approached me and I said, "I'm not a singer,"' Miranda told the Telegraph.

'I said, "If I don't like it, it's definitely not going anywhere," and they said, 'Of course.'"

After the event, MC's Acting Fashion Features Director Victoria Moss weighed in on the label's second PFW showing.

'H&M are clearly taking their slot at Paris Fashion Week seriously,' she said. 'With Joan Smalls walking and the likes of Jessica Alba, Miranda Kerr and Solange Knowles on the front row, this is no token effort.

'The H&M Studio collection, which features their "key pieces" for AW14, was a cool clean mix of easy chic with a '90s tinge – featuring a silver metallic bias cut spaghetti strap dress as well as chunky shearling coats and great khaki knits (pieces seen in volume across the recent fashion weeks).'

In short, the brand's high-fashion future seems bright.

'The collection certainly showed an influence from their recent Isabel Marant collaboration, but crucially will help them cement their position as a relevant fashion force on the high street.'

Miranda Kerr has been replaced by 30-year old model Daria Werbowy as the face of Mango

Mango has added another stella name to its rostra of campaign stars, as Daria Werbowy takes the baton from Miranda Kerr to become the new face of the brand.

The 30-year old supermodel, who is one of the world's highest paid, will star in the spiring summer 2014 campaign, which will be released in March next year.

But in the meantime, these exclusive behind-the-scenes snaps give us a glimpse of what we have to look forward to, both from the campaign and next season's Mango collection.

Photographed by Josh Olins, the shoot took place on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. Daria can be seen in some cool separates - we love the leather jacket with loose white T-shirt and shorts, and another pristine white jacket.

As well as 'indie rock-inspired' pieces such as these, Mango also promises 'flowing silhouettes, hippie-inspired embroidery and tribal looks.'

We can't wait to see what the rest of the campaign has to offer...

The actor has broken his silence over his split with Miranda Kerr, and it all sounds very amicable

Orlando Bloom has spoken out about his split from his wife of three-years, Miranda Kerr. And we don't know if we've ever seen a celebrity (or anyone for that matter) handle a break-up so well.

In an interview with talk show host Katie Couric, the 36-year-old actor explained that despite deciding to go their separate ways, the pair still have strong feelings for one another.

'We love each other,' the Lord of the Rings actor told Katie Couric on her TV show.

'We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives.'

And it's clear that Orlando means what he says: since the pair announced that their relationship had come to an end after six years (for which they were married for three), they have been photographed together numerous times with their son Flynn, enjoying family days out around New York where the trio live.

'There's no question that, you know, for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn,' he continued.

'You know, life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for, but fortunately, we're both adults, and we're professionals, and we love and care about each other. And we, most of all, love our son.'

It's probably fair to say that we could all take learn a thing or two from Orlando about how to deal with a break-up.

The gorgeous duo, who share two-year-old son Flynn, have ended their six-year relationship with a joint announcement to the press.

Confirming the news to E! Online, Orlando’s rep said, "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months.

“After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation.

“Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."

The British actor and Australian model began dating in 2007, before their marriage in July 2010 after a month-long engagement.

The couple made their last public appearance at the opening of Romeo and Juliet on Broadway in September, where Orlando is currently starring.

Although both stars have been staying in New York, they’ve only been snapped separately while out and about with adorable Flynn.

It’s inevitable that the couple’s busy work schedules will come under fire after their split, while Miranda continues to juggle catwalk appearances, Swarovski campaigns and her ongoing work with Mango.

No one likes a sad celebrity split! Here’s hoping this is the last of the year…

Despite coming out on top of the list of the world's highest paid models (calculations were from June 2012 to June 2013), the Brazilian bombshell's earnings reportedly dipped this year by $3million (£637,000) – though she did have gorgeous baby Vivian in the process.

According to Forbes, Gisele's enviable cash flow stems from a partnership with Brazilian footwear label Grendene (she owns a stake), her eco-friendly cosmetics line, Sejaa, and top contracts with Sky HDTV, Pantene and Oral-B.

Trailing behind her in second place, with earnings of $7.2million (£4.5m) in the last year, is another former Victoria's Secret Angel, Miranda Kerr, who shot up the list from seventh place thanks to savvy ad campaigns and the launch of skincare brand, Kora, in the Asian market.

Being a Victoria's Secret Angel means big bucks – others on the list this year include Adriana Lima in third place with $6million (£3.8m), Candice Swanepoel in ninth place with $3.3million (£2.1m), followed by Liu Wen, Hilary Rhoda and Joan Smalls.

So, where's Kate Moss? Mossy, at 39, is the oldest model to make the list, and she pulled in an estimated $5.7million (£3.6m) from campaigns including Rimmel and Versace, nabbing her the fourth place spot.

Miranda Kerr, Helena Christensen and Isabella Fontana join the world's most in-demand models in some celebratory birthday images to mark 50 years of the Pirelli calendar.

As part of the 50th anniversary, the Victoria's Secret Angels are photographed with Karolina Kurkova, Alek Wek and super-model Helena Christensen for a sexy studio shoot.

Pirelli bagged two of the best fashion photographers to shoot the celebratory images and the calendar is expected to feature many more famous faces when the full piece is revealed in Milan on 21 November.

Patrick Demarchelier shoots the models draped in oversized white shirts and tiny white undies, as they fawn over each other in giggles and smoulder for the camera in various hues of black, white and full colour.

The images are a testament to Pirelli's previous 49 'nudie' calendars, brought in to build brand awareness in 1964, where six of the world's hottest models - limbs interlocked - show off their model-thin pins in classic red-soled Louboutins.

Patrick spoke to the Sunday Times style about the shoot, saying, 'Pirelli is not a job, really. You do what you want. It's very liberating.'

In what will presumably be the winter month images, Peter Lindbergh shoots the six beauties with their best salty hair sweeps and shadowing black eye make-up on a mock-beach, clad in thick knitted jumpers.

Of the shoot, Lindbergh said: 'About 25 companies have asked me to do a calendar like Pirelli. They want chocolate or machines in the picture. What do I tell them?'

Well, he politely tells them to go elsewhere.

The calendar will be made exclusively available to 20,000 VIPs, so we won't be able to buy it, but we'll still be channelling Miranda in a big jumper on the beach in January, however.

Following in the footsteps of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Penélope Cruz – who have all starred in the Spanish brand’s previous campaigns, the Aussie model looks barely recognisable, but beautifully fresh-faced in an I-want-to-be-her way. Why do we never look this hot in the office?

Among her perfectly-styled looks, Miranda wears a leather varsity jacket, black denim jeans and a checkered shirt with New York in the backdrop.

Worlds away from diamante-encrusted bras and pink lace undies, the model looks stunning in red tartan trousers paired with a black pinstriped jacket, alongside a smouldering pout. The collection also features a number of feminine pieces from floral dresses and knitted cardigans to a monochrome checked jacket.

Talking about the campaign, the mum-of-one said: 'I had a great time shooting the Fall/Winter campaign. They are an amazing team to work with, we have such a good time together. The clothing is especially fun this season with a punk-inspired edge. I loved that Inez and Vinoodh (the Dutch photographers that snapped these incredible images) kept the look of the campaign very raw and natural and I think it compliments the collection very well.'

She added: 'They did a fantastic job, as always!'

The Victoria's Secret model arrives in Japan to promote tea brand Lipton

Miranda Kerr gave new meaning to airport-chic in a low-cut orange kimono dress and swarovski crystals as she touched down in Japan yesterday.

The 30-year-old supermodel and mum-of-one, was welcomed by a crowd of fans as she stepped off her long-haul flight in glamorous Bionda Castana leopard print heels, as she prepared to promote Lipton tea in the city.

Miranda enjoyed spending time signing photos and later posted an Instagram video of screaming and waving fans lined up along the Japanese airport.

She said: 'Thank you for my warm welcome at the airport in Japan.'

No stranger to social media, Miranda has beensharing Twitter pictures throughout her glamorous trip, including a Japanese Kawaii manicure and a fresh-faced photo with the words 'Good Morning' in Japanese.

As if that wasn't enough to make us curdle with jealousy, Miranda's husband Orlando Bloom showed off his paternal side as he played and laughed with their son Flynn in New York's Central Park at the weekend. Swoon.

Miranda Kerr has given us serious bikini body envy this morning with these brand new stunning shots taken by Mariano Vivanco for Net-a-Porter's EDIT magazine.

Wearing a selection of gorgeous designer swimwear, the former Victoria's Secret model and mum to Flynn, 2, shows us just why she's become a style and beauty icon.

It's been two months since Miranda stepped down from her role as an Angel for the global underwear brand and her departure was surrounded in controversy as reports claimed that she was 'let go' for being 'too old'.

But the 30-year-old has rubbished those claims, telling EDIT: 'Ed [Razek, who has been casting the models for 15 years] and I are really good friends, and we both decided it was impractical for me to continue. I have such fond memories of working with them.'

Miranda, who is now Net-a-Porter EDIT's official Health and Lifestyle Editor, proves her modelling days are far from over, rocking an array of designer pieces – including a white floor-length kaftan by Norma Kamali, a black crocket dress by Melissa Odabash and an amazing black bikini by Shimmi – to name a few.

Now spending her time in New York working on her KORA Organics skincare range and looking after her two-year-old, Miranda reveals that while she might wear the trousers in her business – when it comes to home life – she sits back and her let's hubby-of-three-years Orlando Bloom take the lead.

She says: 'I am quite dominant in my career, so what really works for me when I come home, is to relax more into the feminine side.

'If you’re really an alpha female, you don’t allow [your partner] to have the space to feel like the man in the relationship. Maybe I am too traditional, but men feel important when you ask for their help, instead of thinking you can do it all on your own.

She adds: 'My mistake in my relationships has been to feel that I can do it all on my own: I don’t need a man. That is definitely a mistake. Women generally want to feel loved and appreciated. It’s something that I am working on every day, trust me! It’s a challenge for me to do that.'

The Australian supermodel relocated to New York from LA when her home was targeted by the famous teenage burglars, the 'Bling Ring' – the story of which has now been made into a film, starring Emma Watson.

They stole Miranda's lingerie and Orlando’s collection of watches. But she says: 'The weird thing is that I am not attached to things: they come and they go. It could have been worse, that’s what I always say about everything. I mean, no one was hurt.'

The Australian model has reportedly had some bespoke lingerie created for the former Friends star to wear on her wedding day.

The underwear is believed to be hand-stitched and comes in bridal white (natch!), according to a source, with Jen already giving her close pals a sneak peek of what it looks like on.

Miranda Kerr is not about to hang up her Angel wings as one of the team of Victoria's Secret models, despite reports to the contrary.

Rumours surfaced yesterday suggesting that the lingerie firm will severe ties with the Australian star because of her 'difficult reputation' and because 'she was not a big seller for VS' in comparison to some of the other models, including Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio.

However, the claims were swiftly denied by the brand's president and chief marketing officer, Ed Razek, who released a statement, which said: 'Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular. He goes on to say that her busy schedule and international commitments 'have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years' and that she will 'always be an Angel to me'.

Although his comments do little to suggest that Miranda will still be one of the firm's primary 'Angel' ambassdors, he did confirm that he's already asked Miranda to walk in this year's Victoria's Secret catwalk show and that she has agreed.

Miranda Kerr has spoken for the first time since being injured in a car accident

Miranda Kerr has reassured her fans that she's on the mend after she was injured in a car crash.

The model, who fronts campaigns for Mango and Victoria's Secret, spoke for the first time since the accident happened in Los Angeles.

Writing on her Twitter account, she thanked her fans for their well wishes and said: 'Thank you all for your love and support. I am on the mend!'

Miranda, 29, had been spotted out and about in LA sporting a neck brace following the accident. She was reportedly travelling with her assistant when the car they were in was struck by another vehicle.

Speaking to Australia's 9 News, Miranda's spokesperson, Annie Kelly, confirmed that the model had been injured: 'She is in a lot of pain, but really we are just glad it was not more serious.'

Kelly added that the model's husband, Orlando Bloom, had been looking after Miranda at their LA home, she said: 'He's taking very good care of her. He's an amazing husband. Luckily, Flynn wasn't in the car.'

While other models wore the brand’s latest collection, Miranda Kerr turned fashion critic and discussed the key trends and looks from for the upcoming season as well as offering her own nuggets of style advice.

For this event Miranda looked ready for business in a little black dress with a peplum detail from David Jones.

On Tuesday the Victoria’s Secrets model hit the catwalk for a David Jones show, pulling off an array of powerful pieces, the most iconic was a slashed leather top and skirt with a gull effect.

Other looks from the brand’s Autumn/Winter collection included oriental offerings with a floral maxi dress, gold, lace and sheer fabrics alongside structural shift dresses. Model and style guru, Miranda you’re fast becoming the perfect woman!

The actor was seen leaving the Son of a Gun eatery in Hollywood with baby Flynn in his arms. As the prying paparazzi took endless shots, Orlando placed a protective hand over his son’s head.

The duo hit the restaurant where deli-style sandwiches were on offer serving everything from lobster to chips.

As the son of a model, it’s no surprise that Flynn was dressed to perfection as he clutched his bottle.

The same unfortunately can’t be said for his dad. Orlando suffered a slight wardrobe malfunction as his low-slung trousers hung a little too low and exposed more underwear than he'd want to.

The Aussie model chose a long-sleeved minidress with a plunging neckline in white and nude checks to attend the opening of a new Louis Vuitton boutique in the holiday resort of Cancun, Mexico this weekend. A glossy metallic clutch and gold peep-toe heels completed her store launch look.

As well as the shop opening party, where she cut the ribbon alongside representatives from the French fashion house, Miranda took the chance to hit the beach and soak up some sunshine whilst visiting nearbly Tulum. Miranda is the latest in a string of stylish stars to wear a checked look from the French fashion house's spring line. Kristen Stewart debuted the collection on the red carpet in a playsuit at a photocall for the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 in Tokyo, before actresses Kirsten Dunst, Hailee Steinfeld and Kerry Washington followed suit and stepped out in the instantly recognisable looks.

Jessica Paster, who counts Miranda Kerr amongst her celebrity clients, talks fashion critiquing in new interview

Hollywood stylist Jessica Paster, who counts Miranda Kerr and Emily Blunt amongst her celebrity clients, has slammed TV fashion critics in an explosive new interview.

Talking to Fashionista, the American questioned the fashion expertise of presenters of shows including E!'s Fashion Police, which is hosted by rock progeny Kelly Osbourne and comedian Joan Rivers, amongst others.

She said: 'These are not fashion people. If Kelly Osbourne didn’t have Fashion Police, what is she going to do? Did she go to school to be a lawyer? Did she go to school to be a stylist?'

As for her opinion on Joan? She added: 'What gives Joan Rivers the right to talk about what people are wearing when she looks like she’s being injected by god knows what?'

LA-based Jessica has had a long career in celebrity styling and past clients include actress Cate Blanchett, former Friends star Jennifer Aniston, Oscar-winner Hilary Swank, and acting sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning.

In the interview, she also talked about designers being too picky when they choose who they dress for high profile awards ceremonies, including this weekend's Golden Globes, and urged them to be 'a little open-minded'.

'You didn’t see Jason Wu or Prabal Gurung on the red carpet [at the Golden Globes], because instead of them being a little open-minded, they’re waiting to get these other people that they think they deserve,' she said. 'If you would’ve put a Prabal Gurung on a beautiful actress, it would have been showcased and he would have sold four more dresses. But everyone is like, "No, I want to dress Cate Blanchett, no, I want to dress Cate Blanchett, no, I want to dress Cate Blanchett".'

Paster believes by seeking the most A-list star, 'fabulous and amazingly talented' designers are 'losing the chance to get their work shown'.

Amid the constant split rumours, fuelled even further when Victoria's Secret model Miranda posted a pic on Instagram of her hand sans wedding ring last week, the couple made sure they threw Flynn a fun-filled party also attended by the likes of actress Ali Larter and her son.

Miranda, 29, shared the happy day with her fans, tweeting a picture of a fire engine-themed jumping castle and the two-year-old's favourite toys, writing 'Jumping castle for Flynn's birthday! ❤ So much fun xxx.'

In another snap taken at the couple's sprawling Hollywood mansion, a banner emblazoned with 'Happy 2nd Birthday Flynn', was struck against a garden wall.

The ridiculously good looking couple married in 2010, but hectic work schedules have meant they have been forced to live on opposite parts of the world with Miranda based in LA and Orlando in New Zealand while he films The Hobbit movies.

Miranda Kerr has fuelled rumours that her marriage to Orlando Bloom is on the rocks after posting a photo of her hand, minus her wedding ring.

The couple, who married in 2010 and have one-year-old Flynn together, have been facing speculation that their marriage is in trouble for a few weeks now.

A rumour Miranda did nothing to quash when she posted a snap to her Instagram account on New Year's Eve of her hand minus her wedding ring.

Along with the picture, she wrote: 'Good morning xxx.'

The model, 29, was recently forced to dismiss reports that her marriage was 'on the rocks', saying that she had spent two months on set with her actor husband as he filmed in South Africa.

The couple were also seen together with their adorable son on Boxing Day - and Miranda notably had her wedding ring firmly on her manicured hand.

Despite numerous online comments from her fans, following the new photo, Kerr has not yet clarified why her ring is missing.

American gossip magazine In Touch claimed the pair had decided to 'take a break', while they decided whether to work on their marriage, alleging their busy whirlwind schedules had been hampering their relationship.

'Right now, they're separated... and figuring out what they want to do next,' one source said. They're not on the same page anymore.'

No sooner had the rumours hit, than they were swiped down by a spokesman for couple, who told Gossip Cop there was no truth in talk of a split, and that Miranda and Orlando will will be 'spending the holidays together'.

Earlier this month, Miranda Kerr opened up on she and Orlando Bloom's plans for Christmas, revealing they'll both be at home with adorable baby fly.

'Orlando and I don't work over Christmas and the holiday season, so it's really nice for us to be together as a family,' she said.

'And this year, since Flynn is a little bit older, it's going to be so nice to just see the way that he gets excited about Christmas. The wonderful thing is that we're all together.'

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom married in an intimate ceremony in 2010, and welcomed baby Flynn in January this year.

Take a peek at the upcoming spring/summer 2013 Mango campaign starring Miranda Kerr

She was announced as the new face of Mango last month, and now we have a first glimpse of Miranda Kerr's debut campaign for the high street store.

The spring/summer 2013 ads show the Aussie model, who replaced Kate Moss as the poster girl of the Spanish brand, in a series of poses wearing highlights from the collection.

In one shot, Miranda flaunts her killer legs in a black mini skirt, cropped top and orange blazer ensemble. In another, she sits on a stool in a comfy knit and ripped blue jeans, and in the final image to be released she stares at the camera seductively wearing a mushroom-hued suede skirt, jacket and knit. The complete set of campaign pictures will be released in February 2013.

As well as the newly released ad images, Miranda attended an event in Madrid last night to officially launch the spring/summer campaign. Miranda Kerr is the most famous face, and figure, of Victoria's Secret but it appears she’s may have been forced to reconsider her relationship with the lingerie brand, following a report by Greenpeace that has exposed its manufacturing methods.

The charity investigated 20 brands, including Victoria’s Secret, to assess whether toxic chemicals were used in their products. The report, called Toxic Threads: The Big Fashion Stitch Up, found the lingerie giant were guilty of doing so and this has now reportedly forced Miranda to reconsider her relationship with the brand.

The Australian model has built up a reputation as a champion of green products, she owns her own organic skincare line, KORA Organics, as well as being an advocate of naturally-sourced ingredients. She is also the global ambassador for Earth Hour, who are in partnership with WWF. And if that wasn’t enough evidence of Miranda’s pledge to protect the environment she’s also promised to offset her carbon footprint.

Martin Hojsik, a spokesman for Greenpeace, told the Mail on Sunday that the levels of harmful phthalates present in Victoria’s Secret underwear were so high that ‘if that product was a toy it would not be permitted in the EU.'

Greenpeace is campaigning to see these be replaced with less-harmful substitutes.

Both Miranda and Victoria’s Secret are yet to respond to the reports but it’s feared if she does hang up her coveted angel wings, other high-profile models will follow her.

In the days leading up to the brand's catwalk show, the Angels took to Twitter to share their workout tips, revealing the gruelling routines they use to stay in shape.

This look was one of four, and featured high-octane glamour with lace gloves and a pearl chocker, although there was plenty of sexiness with a strapless cut while there were also strong hints at Rihanna’s colourful persona with circular pearl-framed shades and lace up ankle boots.

Rihanna continued her reign over the catwalk, making like one of the Victoria’s Secret models in a pink lingerie set carefully covered up with a matching lace piece. She added some retro chic to the look with a 40s inspired wavy hair do as she interacted with the models, stroking them, holding hands and playing up to the crowds.

Monochrome was the colour palette of choice as Rihanna made her entrance to the event in a white pencil skirt with a silk crop top, although she quickly slipped into something more ‘comfortable’ as a backstage shot showed the star in a baby pink corset complete with matching coat.

To go alongside these images, Rihanna compiled her own collection on her Twitter page, sharing backstage snaps of her with the models. In one she celebrated her new role saying: ‘I'm a #VS girl now lol’

Meanwhile, fellow Angel Doutzen Kroes revealed some of the diet secrets of the lingerie-clad models when she posted an image to her Twitter account of the ingredients in her morning shake, which includes chocolate powder, acai powder, organic shredded coconut, flaxseed, hunza mulberries, raw chia seeds and Goji berries. 'Good morning!,' wrote Kroes. 'This goes in my smoothie this morning:) what's your breakfast like?' Estee Lauder beauties Joan Smalls and Hilary Rhoda (who is donning Angel wings for the first time this season), also gave a glimpse into their workout regimens on Twitter, with Smalls uploading a pic of a calorie-counting watch showing that she burned 862 calories, while Rhoda tweeted: '#VSFashionShow training... You get out what you put in!' alongside a photo of herself exercising at Gotham Gym.

The catwalk spectacular is taking place at 4pm and 8pm Eastern time today, with star-studded performances from Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars.

Legendary Angels Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio will also be strutting their stuff, in a bevy of dramatic crystal and beaded looks, including a Snake Charmer python creation and an oversized hibiscus flowered multicoloured costume, as well as millions of pounds' worth of jewellery, according to WWD.

The pop superstar was snapped leaving a hotel in New York after a gruelling rehearsal session for this year's Victoria's Secret show

With the eagerly-anticipated Victoria's Secret catwalk show taking place tonight, special guest performer Rihanna put in some last minute rehearsals at a venue in New York.

The pop superstar, who will provide the musical entertainment at the lingerie spectacular alongside fellow singers Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars, was pictured leaving the Lexington Avenue Armory show-space in the city's Meatpacking District having worked up a sweat during an energetic practise session.

The Bajan songstress still looked glam despite her wet hair, wearing a pair of grey fitted jogging trousers, a Chanel sweatshirt, a quilted Chanel shoulder bag, black strappy heels and a flash of red lipstick as she made her way home from the venue.

Rihanna will take to the stage at the annual Victoria's Secret catwalk show tonight, where she is expected to sing two songs, including her new single Diamonds. She will perform alongside the lingerie giant's models – the 'Angels' – as they walk the runway in pieces from the latest underwear collection and a series of theatrical costumes, including huge feathered angel wings and superhero capes.

Models Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes are all expected to strut their stuff at the show. Previous musical guest stars who have performed alongside the models at the annual event include the Spice Girls, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake, as well as rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Victoria’s Secret's hotly anticipated annual show will be taking over the lingerie world this Wednesday and, to add more excitement into the mix, British beauty Cara Delevingne has confirmed she’ll also be heading down the catwalk.

ALESSANDRA AMBROSIO MODELS $2.5 MILLION BRA

Cara tweeted over the weekend: ‘So excited for the #VSFashionShow! Had my fitting yesterday and am so happy about my outfit. Be prepared, be very prepared.’

It will be the model’s first appearance in the lingerie giant’s show held in New York, but she’ll be in good, and rather gorgeous, company with fellow UK fashion star Jourdan Dunn also making her Victoria's Secret debut.

CARA DELEVINGNE HITS PARIS FASHION WEEK

Joining the girls will be lingerie legends aka the Victoria’s Secret Angels including Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, who was chosen to wear the multi-mullion pound ruby-and diamond encrusted Fantasy Bra.

And the A-list guest list won’t end there, Rihanna will take to the stage for a special set, as will Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars.

Although the question on everyone’s lips will be if One Direction star Harry Styles will make an unscheduled appearance at the show. After all he has been linked to Cara Delevingne and he did watch her walk for Burberry at London fashion week…
