Although members of the royal family often mark birthdays with social media well wishes, many noted that Harry and Meghan didn't not share a happy birthday message for the Princess.

Some sources claimed to journalist Rob Shuter via his Substack blog, ShuterScoop, that the Sussexes decision not to share a public message was 'deliberate', alleging: "They’re making it clear they’re done. It’s a line in the sand." A second insider claimed: "The Sussexes are still railing in the media, but Kate? She’s calm, grounded, moving forward. It’s a quiet power play."

However, an additional source alleged that Meghan simply 'wanted Catherine to have space', adding: "This isn't spite - it's respect for what she's going through."

Prince Harry has reportedly 'won the right' to automatic armed police protection after a lengthy legal battle, according to multiple news outlets. The Duke of Sussex was campaigning for increased security while in the UK, but lost an appeal in May. However, as Harry's legal challenge over UK security protection continues, it appears that the Sussexes are unlikely to return for the festive period. But, according to royal experts, this year the King could offer an olive branch to his estranged son.

Royal correspondent Richard Palmer has claimed that King Charles is aware of the importance bringing his family, as well as the nation, together at Christmas. He said (per The Express): "Certain aspects of the royal Christmas are a fundamental part of our lives, and have been for generations. The King’s speech, the big gathering at Sandringham and the family’s walk to church on Christmas Day all fill the news schedule, providing a sense of tradition and an important message about their values and the way they lead the nation."

However, he added that Prince Harry may not be at the royal Christmas gathering despite mending his relationship with the King, and instead may unite with his father in a more modern way. Palmer continued: "A Skype call is probably a more realistic option. It’s too soon for Harry and Meghan to attend an event like the royal Christmas when there’s so much still to sort out."

Royal expert Katie Nicholl added: "It’s a major thing because there are only two occasions in the year when the whole family gets together for any length of time – during the summer at Balmoral, and then at Christmas at Sandringham."

On the Sussexes potential involvement in a royal Christmas, she added: "The initial step of reconciliation between Harry and his father will hopefully lead to something meaningful in future, but I’m not sure everyone’s as willing to welcome Harry in from the cold just yet."

When Meghan and Harry stepped down from royal duties a few years later, they relocated to the US where they now live with their two young children, Archie and Lilibet. Although she has worked on several media projects in the years since their royal departure - from the Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan, to her lifestyle show With Love, Meghan - it appears that the Duchess of Sussex is finally ready to return to her acting roots.

According to a report in The Sun, Meghan was spotted on the set of an upcoming film starring Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Henry Golding and Jack Quaid. The movie, Close Personal Friends, will allegedly include a cameo from the Duchess - marking her first return to the screen in eight years. A source told the publication: "This is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves. She has been swamped with offers but this one felt right. It is Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set."

The insider also added that everyone involved is 'super-excited' and has been 'sworn to secrecy about her involvement'. They concluded: "Prince Harry is, of course, really supportive and quite simply wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy."

During the course of her acting career, Meghan appeared in a number of blockbusters, including Horrible Bosses, Get Him To The Greek, and Remember Me. But details of her role in Close Personal Friends are yet to be confirmed, with reports suggesting that she will be playing herself in the comedy. The brief synopsis on IMDB reads: "Two couples - one famous, one not - meet in Santa Barbara and become fast friends."

Over the years, Meghan has spoken about a potential return to acting. During an interview with Variety back in 2022, she said that she didn't see herself returning to the small screen at all. She said: "I'm done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not."

However, during an interview on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast earlier this year she admitted that she 'misses' acting.

A spokesperson declined to comment, per The Sun.

Since leaving royal life behind five years ago, Prince Harry has discussed the breakdown of his relationship with Prince William at length. Throughout his memoir, Spare, and in a number of subsequent interviews, Harry has detailed his estrangement from members of the royal family - but most notably, a reunion between himself and William appears to be a long way away. While the Duke of Sussex has spent time reconnecting with his father, King Charles, in recent months, royal insiders have suggested that reconciliation between the brothers will be far more difficult.

According to sources, William 'will never' forgive Harry for publicly discussing their fallout and was less willing than the King to meet for peace talks during Harry's recent trip to the UK. Now, a new report claims that William's recent interview with actor Eugene Levy - where he expressed a desire to make substantial changes when he becomes King - indicates exactly where he stands when it comes to Harry and Meghan's royal association.

A source told the National Examiner: "It's pretty much accepted within the royal household that once he does take the throne, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will immediately get their titles yanked. He hasn’t said it publicly but the things he’s said in this interview, this big emphasis on how he will change things, is certainly being seen by a lot of people as him all but coming out and confirming that cutting Harry and Meghan completely loose is part of the plan."

The conversation around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's titles has been ongoing since the couple left the UK in 2020. Following their decision to step away from royal duties, they retained the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as their official titles but no longer use the 'HRH' styling in public.

How Prince William intends to make changes within the monarchy is yet to be seen, but some insiders have claimed that he has already thought about Harry's involvement in his future coronation, and the Duke of Sussex even responded to claims that his older brother would 'exile' him when he becomes King.

In his candid chat with Eugene Levy on an episode of The Reluctant Traveller, William did speak about his future as monarch, explaining: "I think it's safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good, and I embrace that, I enjoy that change. I don't fear it, that's the bit that excites me, the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical, but changes that I think need to happen.

"I think if you're not careful, history can be a real weight and an anchor around you, and you can feel suffocated by it, and restricted by it too much," he later added. "And I think it's important to live for the here and now. There are points when you look at tradition and go, is that still fit for purpose today? Is that still the right thing to do? Are we still doing and having the most impact we could be having? So I like to question things, is what I'm really getting at."

Prince Harry has spoken publicly about his fractured relationship with the royals in recent years. The Duke of Sussex relocated to the US, where he now lives with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two young children. In his Netflix docu-series, Harry & Meghan, as well as throughout his best-selling memoir, Spare, Harry detailed the breakdown of his relationship with his father - but the Duke's candid interviews reportedly left the King feeling 'frustrated' and he then declined to take his son's calls.

Harry hadn't seen the King since the announcement of his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, but the Prince spoke about his desire for reconciliation with his father during an interview with the BBC in May, stating: "There's no point in continuing to fight anymore." Two months later, aides from both sides were spotted in London engaging in 'peace talks'.

During Harry's visit to the UK in September, he did meet with King Charles and even offered a meaningful gift - a framed photograph. A spokesperson for Harry later confirmed: "While we would have preferred such details to remain private, for the sake of clarity we can confirm that a framed photograph was handed over, however the image did not contain the duke and duchess."

In photos obtained by the Mirror, King Charles has framed pictures of Harry and Meghan throughout one of his royal residences. According to the publication, the images can be seen on display at his official Northern Irish residence, Hillsborough Castle, and they include a photograph of Harry and Meghan's engagement, as well as an image of the couple alongside the King, Queen, Prince William and Princess Kate, taken for King Charles' 70th birthday. This has been interpreted as a subtle olive branch from the monarch to the Sussexes after years of estrangement.

A source told the paper: "Royal Historic Palaces make decisions on what they believe to be appropriate. They are also guided by members of The Royal Family, but the decision over what pictures of the family to use ultimately lies with the King."

It isn't the first time that the royals and their choice of family photographs has piqued the interest of royal fans. In late 2019, shortly before their royal departure, a framed photo of Harry and Meghan had been removed from a table in Buckingham Palace. As per the report in the Mirror, it was noted that the King does not currently display any photographs of his brother, Prince Andrew, at the property.

Prince William's candid interview with actor Eugene Levy aired last week, and the royal opened up about everything from his most difficult year yet, to his relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Prince of Wales spoke to the Schitt's Creek star as part of the Apple TV series The Reluctant Traveller, and during the episode William took Levy for a tour of Windsor Castle.

During the interview, William was surprisingly candid about how tough he found 2024 in the wake of both King Charles and Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis', and he also detailed the changes he plans to make when he eventually becomes King. However, there was one topic of conversation that appeared to have been avoided: William's fractured relationship with Prince Harry.

The fallout between the brothers has been well documented, and in recent years the Duke of Sussex has shared how he feels about their distance. The Prince of Wales, however, has not commented publicly.

When Levy was asked if anything was off limits during his conversation with William, he revealed that he wasn't actually given any restrictions. During an ITV News interview about their time together, the actor was asked: "Were you ever told you couldn't ask questions, for example, about Harry and Meghan? Did you find that was just something you didn't want to go near?"

Levy responded: "I was not told I couldn't ask anything, but it wasn't really, you know, up to me, to get into that. I had no interest in asking him about that, because it was, you know, very delicate issue and certainly not up to me to get into it."

He added: "I think there were other things, you know, I could lead the conversation to that might be interesting for him and interesting for the world to hear, but that was something I wasn't necessarily interested in getting into."

While William has been praised for his candour during the interview, it is said to have caused tension between him and the King. According to a report, they aren't on speaking terms as Charles felt "betrayed" by William's comments. However, an additional source disputed that there is any rift between the father and son.

Taking her seat at Balenciaga for Pierpaolo Piccioli’s debut collection—a designer Markle has collaborated with many times before—the Duchess watched models walk down the runway in all-black outfits, sculptural dresses and the brand’s now-signature oversized sunglasses. Yet it was Markle’s own outfit that stole the spotlight: a custom Piccioli creation that was as effortlessly elegant as it was easy to emulate.

Meghan Markle's lifestyle show returned to Netflix with a second season this week. The series With Love, Meghan - which follows the Duchess of Sussex as she shares hosting, cooking and party planning tips with her celebrity pals - first aired on the streaming platform in March this year, and the release date for the second instalment was announced shortly after Netflix confirmed they had renewed their contract with the Sussexes.

The trailer for With Love, Meghan season two included a clip of the Duchess discussing her husband's dislike of lobster. It led to questions over Prince Harry's involvement in the series, with some wondering if he would have another cameo after his quiet appearance in the season one finale. However, this time around, it seems that the royal decided against featuring in the show completely.

Late last year, it was reported that Harry and Meghan are moving towards a 'professional separation' as they focus on their own individual projects. Ahead ofWith Love, Meghan's debut in the spring, insiders claimed that Harry wanted to take a 'back seat' and let his wife 'thrive'. According to former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond, Harry made a 'conscious' choice to give Meghan the space she needs, while he works on the things he feels 'comfortable' doing. She said via The Mirror: "I think [Meghan's] probably feeling a lot stronger now back in her home country and her own patch, and talking her own sort of California speak. She’s better rooted and happier and dealing with things in a more resilient fashion because of where she was."

She added: "They are going their own ways now. Harry has taken a conscious step back and this is Meghan's thing. The influence celebrity social media path wasn’t Harry. He's doing things which are quasi royalty, the sort of stuff he was comfortable doing in his previous life."

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had renewed their multimedia deal with Netflix. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex initially signed a contract with the streaming platform in 2020, worth a reported $100 million, and in the years that followed the couple created various shows - from their tell-all documentary, Harry & Meghan, to the lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.

Just last month, sources had claimed that the couple would not be renewing their contract with Netflix. However, it has since been announced that Harry and Meghan have signed a "multi-year, first-look deal" with the platform - though one of the key differences between their renewed deal and their previous contract means that Netflix will have the power to approve or refuse the content that they create.

While it's good news for fans of the Sussexes, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has claimed that the royal family will have fresh "concerns" over the content that Harry and Meghan create for Netflix in the future. Harry has spoken openly about his fractured relationship with Prince William, and his hopes to reconcile with King Charles, but Fitzwilliams alleges that the royal household will have fears that another tell-all documentary could be "damaging". He told The Express: "This will concern the Royal Family as they don’t trust the Sussexes and they did it (a damaging series) before."

The release of Harry & Meghan back in 2022, as well as Harry's best-selling memoir Spare, reportedly caused further divide between the families with some royal experts claiming that William will "never, ever forgive" Harry. But the Duke of Sussex recently made a public plea to reunite with his father during an interview with the BBC, stating: "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious."

In a press release announcing the news, Netflix confirmed that Archewell Productions - the couple's media company - has "extended its creative partnership with Netflix, with a multi-year, first look deal for its film and television projects." In a statement, Meghan said: "We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand."

She added: "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision."

The source added that Harry is keen to keep an open line of communication with members of the royal family, stating that he's 'realised the way he handled things before hasn't brought any progress'.

Over the last five years, Meghan has detailed the challenges she faced while living in the UK and how her mental health suffered during her first pregnancy. A recent report from royal commentator Duncan Larcombe claimed that Meghan was 'terrified' of returning, and Harry told reporters that he 'didn't feel safe' bringing his children to his home country after losing a legal battle over his security detail.

But the insider claims that the Prince believes a royal reunion is only possible if he attempts to reconcile with the King and Prince William alone. The source added: "It's incredibly hard for him. He cares deeply for Meghan, but he can't deny the reality of the situation anymore. If there's any hope of reconnecting with his family, he knows he has to try without her... He wants back into the royal fold and is feeling totally lost in America – it's Meghan's home and world, not his."

While experts have claimed that there's no turning back for Prince William, Harry said that he wishes to talk to King Charles during an interview with the BBC in May, stating: "There's no point in continuing to fight anymore... Life is precious, I don't know how much longer my father has, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff."

It has been rumoured that the Duke of Sussex will invite the royals to the Invictus Games in 2027, as they are set to take place in Birmingham, UK and could be an opportunity for public reconciliation.

Princess Diana may not have lived to meet her grandchildren, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are raising their little ones with plenty of homages to their late grandmother. The latest example of this came when the Duchess of Sussex shared some adorable family photos taken at Disneyland in Southern California - where she, Harry and their son Prince Archie, 6, headed for a fun couple of days celebrating their daughter Princess Lilibet's 4th birthday.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Meghan shared the loveliest montage of her family having the best time at the theme park - which included a mix of photos and short videos. All of this shows the family of four enjoying lots of different rides, meeting Disney characters, sporting Disney merch, and enjoying classic Disneyland snacks such as corn dogs. The Duchess captioned the post: "Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!"

But there's one photo in particular that has caught eagle-eyed royal watchers' attention: the one of Harry and Meghan on the ride formerly known as Splash Mountain. Archie and Lili don't appear in that photo — it's possible that they didn't meet the height requirement for the ride, or simply weren't in front of the camera on that occasion.

While these days this ride is known as Tiana's Bayou Adventure (based on the 2009 Disney film The Princess and the Frog), this wasn't Harry's first time on the log flume. In fact, the Prince experienced the same ride at Disneyland Florida circa 1993, when he was just eight years old.

At the time, Harry rode Splash Mountain with mum Princess Diana and brother Prince William, then 11, as reported by People. And if you're wondering how the high-profile royals were able to visit the park, the answer is rather surprising. Splash Mountain was closed off to the rest of the public while they were on it, and they reportedly reached it via secret underground tunnels. A waiter who encountered the royals back then told the publication: "They were all very nice, very well behaved. She was a sweetheart."

How sweet!

Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand, As Ever, has big ambitions. While the shop's first product drop was limited to jam, crêpe mix and a few other fancy store-cupboard items, the Duchess of Sussex clearly isn't planning to stop there. The California-based royal entrepreneur has just dropped a major hint as to her plans in the form of a new trademark application, as reported by The Sun. The new category Meghan is eyeing up? Hospitality, apparently.

The website Trademarkia indicates that As Ever has applied for a Class [043] trademark, which corresponds to "Restaurant and Hotel Services," and for which the description reads: "Hospitality services in the nature of provision of food and drink; Hospitality services in the nature of provision of temporary accommodation."

Essentially, if this move is anything to go by, Meghan could be planning to establish some sort of café or restaurant experience, or even a hotel or B&B. Since Meghan is often compared to Gwyneth Paltrow, it bears noting here that the goop founder recently opened up her home to paying guests via Airbnb — so perhaps we can expect something similar from the Duchess (though don't hold your breath for her Montecito home to be opened up to the public, given the security concerns that would entail).

PR and branding expert Jack Izzard from Gallia Communications commented on Meghan's latest business move while speaking to The Sun. "In terms of positioning, it’s not a million miles from where As Ever is. She is very much positioning herself as a star hostess, Californian royalty who makes her guests feel welcome. The issue she’s potentially going to have is that’s a completely different skill set, running a hospitality business. A night in an 'As Ever B&B' will be several hundred pounds. That’s really going to blow up if it’s bad."

With that in mind, the trademark application could just as well be a proactive measure incase Meghan decides to move into the hospitality industry in the future. Many celebrities and brand owners will often apply for trademarks of this nature to ensure that they have the means to pursue it later down the line, so it doesn't necessarily mean she's planning to make it happen imminently.

As Ever has already applied for trademarks for a number of products and services that it has yet to provide, including education and entertainment, houseware, furniture, leather products, jewellery, paper products, hand tools, and sporting goods. So only time will tell!

Like many A-listers, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tend to shield their two children from the public eye as much as possible. Over the years, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have only shared tiny glimpses into their lives with Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. While we have seen a few photos of the two children as they've grown up, they're often shielded aside from celebratory birthday pictures.

However, to mark Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday today, Wednesday 4th June, the young royal's mum Meghan posted a sweet photo of herself holding Lilibet via her Instagram account. Meghan posted two black and white photos; the first, taken by the sea, captures the mum and daughter sweetly hugging with windswept hair. In the photo, Lili appears to be wearing a sundress with a geometric pattern, and in the second photo Meghan is holding Lili as a tiny baby while lying down in bed.

The proud mum of two captioned the photo: "Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!" Like with all posts on Meghan's recently active Instagram account, the comments have been disabled. However, we're certain that, if they could, Sussex fans would all be in agreement over how much little Lili looks like her dad, Harry.

Lilibet was born in the U.S. on 4th June 2021, and was named as an homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Harry's grandmother, whose nickname was Lilibet. Her middle name is Diana, as a nod to her late grandmother, Princess Diana. Her brother Archie Harrison was born in the UK on 6 May 2019 while his parents were still working royals.

When Prince Harry first introduced Meghan Markle to his mother's side of the family, it didn't go at all as planned according to one royal author. The biographer claims that Harry was hoping that Princess Diana's sisters would see the similarities between Meghan and the late Princess of Wales, but that's not how things turned out.

"Harry assumed that Diana's family and friends would see a similarity between Diana and his fiancée," Tom Bower wrote in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, (via the Mirror). "Both, he said, shared the same problems. He was so disappointed."

According to Tom: "No one agreed that his vulnerable mother had anything in common with his girlfriend. More discomforting for him, they thought Meghan would not fit in with the Royal Family."

Diana grew up with three siblings, all of whom are still alive today: Cynthia Jane, known as Lady Jane Fellowes; Elizabeth Sarah Lavinia, known as Lady Sarah McCorquodale; and Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer. The latter walked with Prince William, Prince Harry, the then-Prince Charles and Prince Philip behind Diana's coffin in 1997. But the Spencers seemingly missing the similarities between Diana and Meghan didn't change Harry's mind about her. In the 2022 docu-series Harry & Meghan, the Duke of Sussex said: "So much of what Meghan is, and how she is, is so similar to my mum. She has the same compassion, she has the same empathy, she has the same confidence. She has this warmth about her."

After the documentary was released, a body language expert confirmed that Harry was being incredibly sincere while saying this. "When Harry was speaking about Meghan, I did not see any signs of deceptive behaviour or that he was faking his emotions for the cameras," Darren Stanton told Marie Claire UK at the time. "His body language and behaviour seems to be totally congruent with what he is thinking. From his non-verbal communication, it’s apparent that he truly believes Meghan is similar to Diana."

Despite the Spencers' view on it all, the Duchess of Sussex has continually paid tribute to her late mother-in-law for years, honouring her legacy and her husband's memory of his mother. Meghan nodded to Diana with her impressive cathedral wedding veil, and has also honoured her in subtle ways through her podcast, her TV show, and her fashion.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from royal life shocked the world back in 2020. At the time, the couple had only just moved into Frogmore Cottage and had welcomed their son, Archie, less than a year before. However, rumours of a royal rift between Princes Harry and William had been mounting, and in an off-hand comment during their 2019 royal tour in Africa, Meghan admitted she was struggling.

Since then, Harry and Meghan have spoken candidly about their decision to leave the UK in both their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, and in their infamous tell-all with Oprah. But in his book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, royal author Andrew Morton - who famously penned Diana: Her True Story in 1992 - writes that a photograph of young Prince George shared days before, inadvertently, the catalyst for Harry and Meghan's move away from the monarchy.

According to Morton, when the Palace released a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles, Prince William and Prince George in the throne room on 3rd January 2020, it stirred some complicated feelings in the Sussexes. He writes: "The royal couple suspected that the entire institution was conspiring against them. As they saw it, the evidence was all around them. The unspoken code was straightforward: the future of the monarchy was assured, with or without Meghan and Harry."

The author adds that this particular photo of the heirs together acted as a 'wake-up call' for Harry and Meghan as they debated their place within the royal fold. Over the years, the Sussexes have spoken in detail about the building tension within the royal household ahead of their shock departure, and Morton elaborated on this during an episode of Pod Save The King podcast. He stated that the couple had been considering their options much earlier than most thought, saying: "Harry was having conversations in a London hotel with Oprah Winfrey back in November 2018, just six months after they'd been married. So they were thinking about a different direction of travel pretty early on."

If there’s one thing that I love even more than discovering a brilliant new beauty product, it’s finding a bingeable comfort watch—and With Love, Meghan, the Netflix show starring Meghan Sussex (née Markle), has been exactly that for me this spring. Set in beautiful Montecito, California, the series follows Meghan making scented beeswax candles, creating picture-perfect flower arrangements, and cooking up simple and delicious meals using ingredients picked from the garden. It’s utterly idyllic (I can’t keep a houseplant alive, let alone an entire bed of vegetables and herbs) and escapist in the best way possible. And while I might never try my hand at making my own focaccia or fruit preserves, if there’s one thing I will be rushing to recreate, it’s Meghan’s manicure.

In line with the neutral manicures that we’ve seen dominating this year so far (think soap nails and ombré French tips), Meghan’s nails are painted in a barely-there, pink-toned nude that looks fresh, clean and utterly simple. It’s being coined the “Montecito manicure” and with its chic, laid-back California girl vibes we can already see it taking off as one of the most popular manicures for spring/summer 2025.

What is the Montecito manicure?

To get an expert’s take on the appeal of Meghan’s nails, I caught up with session manicurist Ami Streets to find out what exactly it is about the Montecito mani that has us all obsessed. “Meghan’s manicure is minimalist, but it still speaks to the quiet luxury trend—especially when paired with very neutral, sheer polish colours,” says Streets. While she mentions that it does lean into the popularity of the “clean-girl aesthetic” in its simplicity, similar to the naked manicure, Streets points out that the manicure is very deliberate despite looking low-key. “Meghan’s manicure gives a clean, refined and intentional vibe and suggests someone who values subtle polish, precision and understated elegance,” explains Streets. And while it is undeniably aspirational, the best thing about this nail look is that you can perfect the look at home.

How can you recreate Meghan’s nails?

It’s all about the prep with this look, as you want the nails to be practically perfect. “Ensure that the nail plate surface is clean, cuticles are tidy and nails are buffed to perfection so that colour application will be smooth and even,” says Streets. As for the shape, you want to try something round rather than square. “A soft squoval à la Meghan, or a more subtle rounded or almond nail shape will look more contemporary if you prefer a slightly longer nail length.”

As for the polish itself, Streets suggests applying just one or two thin coats of colour with a top coat to seal it in place. Meghan herself has confirmed on Instagram, via links to her Shop My, that the exact polishes she uses are CND Shellac in Satin Slippers and Romantique—one coat of each to get the look. But if you’re doing your own manicure at home then Streets has plenty of suggestions for alternatives below.

The best Montecito manicure nail colours

Since moving to the US, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been spotted on a handful of date nights in Los Angeles. The couple left the UK in 2020, and have since settled in Monticito, California where they are raising their two young children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3. Last weekend, the pair were spotted in a private suite during Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour, and Meghan later shared photos of their evening on her recently reactivated Instagram account.

Along with a carousel of pictures and videos showing herself and Harry dancing, Meghan wrote: "About last night…. Thank you @beyonce and team for an amazing concert (and a very fun date night)! All love."

But it was the photo of Harry's cowboy hat that has really caught the attention of fans. The headwear has been customised to include several small pictures and symbols on the underside of the brim, and they all have their own sweet meanings. Firstly, there are twin flags side by side - one for the UK and one for the US - which alludes to their nationalities, but there's also an additional flag which you might not recognise: the California flag.

Alongside them, there's also an outline of Africa. The continent holds a special place in the couple's hearts, given that Harry and Meghan decided to fly to Botswana after just two dates for a five-day camping trip, and later enjoyed a royal tour to South Africa in 2019 with their then-four month old son Archie.

Finally, the brim is embossed with the names, 'Archie', 'Lili', and 'My Love'. Harry and Meghan are known to refer to one another as 'my love', with the Prince using the nickname for his wife during their Netflix documentary, Heart of Invictus.

Meghan Markle has revealed that she and Prince Harry used to speak "in code" — and sometimes still do. How fun is that?

By this point, it's well known among royal watchers that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex call each other "H" and "M," and while it's sort of obvious why, Meghan has just revealed how exactly these nicknames came to be.

During a recent appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show — marking Meghan's first-ever appearance on someone else's podcast — the host asked the Duchess (via the Mirror): "Your close friends and family, so many of them call you 'M' and Harry 'H.' How did that start? And tell me about that."

The US-based royal explained: "Probably at the beginning of us dating, when everything was in code. People didn’t know we were dating for, talk about memory lane, so long ago. I mean, it’ll be our seven-year wedding anniversary soon. I couldn’t tell anyone who I was dating, and who was keeping [the secret], so I think we were just on a letter basis."

But even though the nicknames had a practical purpose at first, "it stuck," Meghan shared. She added: "I like it. I love nicknames."

Meghan's conversation with Jamie, the founder of IT Cosmetics and author of Worthy: How to Believe You Are Enough and Transform Your Life, comes amid a whole load of big career moves for the Duchess.

Meghan just launched a brand new podcast of her own, titled Confessions of a Female Founder With Meghan, on which she interviews — you guessed it — female founders about the keys to their success. And surprise, she's also just released an episode with Jamie!

The podcast is produced by Lemonada Media, after Meghan's recording contract with Spotify previously ended somewhat abruptly.

The Duchess has also just launched her new brand, called As Ever, which sells jams and other goodies, and which sold out almost immediately after launching. Big moves!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "felt forced to step back" from their roles as senior royals, the Court of Appeal heard on Tuesday. In written submissions, Harry's barrister Shaheed Fatima KC, told the court: "On 8 January 2020, (the Duke) and his wife felt forced to step back from the role of full time official working members of the royal family as they considered they were not being protected by the institution" (via The Standard).

In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced that they would no longer act as senior working royals. Just months later, in March 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the world into lockdowns, they moved to Southern California with their son Archie, where they've been living ever since.

Even though they had quit royal life for reasons later explained at length in interviews, and in Harry's memoir Spare, they "wished to continue their duties in support of the late Queen as privately funded members of the Royal Family," Harry's lawyers said.

Harry is in court in London this week as part of his ongoing appeal over police protection while he and his family are in the UK. The appeal is challenging the High Court's decision to dismiss his case that he should not be afforded a lesser degree of police protection when he's in his country of origin. On Tuesday, Harry's barrister criticised the "different and so-called 'bespoke process'" that was put in place for Harry's security when he visits the UK.

"The appellant does not accept that 'bespoke' means 'better,'" she said (via The Standard). "In fact, in his submission, it means that he has been singled out for different, unjustified and inferior treatment."

Sir James Eadie KC, representing the Home Office, said: "It’s important to emphasise that the decision was not that personal security of the kind previously provided would under no circumstances be provided. Rather it was simply that that security would not be provided on the same basis as before because of his (the Duke’s) change of status and because he was now going to live abroad for the majority of his time."

The Duke first began legal action against the Home Office over the matter of his security in September 2021. A decision for the appeal is expected to be issued at a later date following Wednesday's hearing.

Meghan Markle's new podcast has landed. The first episode of Confessions of a Female Founder features special guest Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder of dating app Bumble. It includes loads of amazing insights into entrepreneurship, but also into Meghan's own life. At one point, the conversation turned to the two women's experiences of pregnancy, and the health complications they both had after giving birth.

"We both had very similar experiences — though we didn't know each other at the time — with postpartum, and we both had preeclampsia. Postpartum preeclampsia," Meghan told Whitney on the show. The Duchess of Sussex didn't reveal whether she suffered with the condition after she gave birth to Prince Archie, 5, or Princess Lilibet, 3, or both. Whitney, as for her, has welcomed two children, Bobby, who was born in 2019, and Henry, born in 2022.

Whitney has previously opened up about her difficult experience after giving birth to Bobby in a 2023 interview with TIME. "I got extremely sick five days postpartum with postpartum preeclampsia. Basically, my blood pressure was at stroke level, and it was undetected, so I was back in the hospital. And then the world shut down," she revealed.

"It was just a series of events that were tough to navigate. And so it just sent me into postpartum depression, but I didn’t realise I had it. Postpartum depression is this sneaky thing. It’s like: you know you’re not okay, but you don’t know that you’re not okay."

According to the NHS, preeclampsia can affect women in the second half of their pregnancy onwards. Early symptoms include high blood pressure and protein in the urine (both of which need to be picked up by a doctor), while further potential symptoms include severe headache, vision problems, pain below the ribs, vomiting, and sudden swelling.

Confessions of a Female Founder is Meghan's brand new podcast, produced by Lemonada Media. It follows the end of her recording contract with Spotify, which produced her previous podcast, Archetypes.

On the podcast, Meghan said of the preeclampsia: "It's so rare and so scary. And you're still trying to juggle all of these things, and the world doesn't know what's happening quietly. And in the quiet, you're still trying to show up for people — mostly for your children — but those things are huge medical scares."

Gwyneth Paltrow often hosts Q&As on her Instagram Stories, and whenever she does we learn something new about the goop founder. Most recently, Gwyneth was asked by a follower: "Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?"

But before we talk about how the Avengers actress responded, let us backtrack a little so that we're clear about how this alleged 'feud' started. A few days ago, Gwyneth posted a very characteristic video in which she made breakfast in her pyjamas without any makeup. While it was nothing unusual for the A-lister, a number of her followers immediately assumed that she was making a dig at the Duchess' new cooking and lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan.

One person wrote: "It's bad enough that women are pitted against each other but it's unforgivable when women do it themselves. I thought Gwyneth had more class but I guess she was just acting."

Another claimed: "Ew. If you’re trying to throw shade at Meghan this is very déclassé and a not-so-micro aggression. What about welcoming someone to the lifestyle space & making room for others to thrive instead of being threatened and petty?"

Someone else chimed in: "Love this. No fake house, fake kitchen, fake hair extensions, fake friends just your beautiful true self. Such a breath of fresh air to see."

But another person jumped to her defence, writing: "She has been creating this content for 15 years, grow up people."

Essentially, people saw a video of Gwyneth cooking breakfast — the kind of content she's been making forever — and immediately assumed that it was created and posted out of malice. Thankfully, both Gwyneth and Meghan had a sense of humour about the reaction, and when the Iron Man star was asked about the feud she responded with a hilarious video. She said: "I genuinely do not understand this at all. Whatsoever." She then asked while turning the camera: "Do you understand this?"

That's when the video reveals none other than Meghan sitting at the table with her, casually eating what looks like a pastry, and responding only with a dramatic shrug.

That's one way to shut down a rumour!

In the words of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex: "many of you asked, so here you go!" - you can now shop the royal's wardrobe.

And many of us have been obsessed with her With Love, Meghan outfits, which sadly mostly all sold out (I'm still heartbroken over the pleated linen Zara dress).

Having listened to her fans, who have been as equally keen on her style as her recipes and hosting tips, the Duchess has now launched her own ShopMy page, which, in her own words, is "A handpicked and curated collection of the things I love — I hope you enjoy them!"

Separate to her As Ever shopping site, where you can pre-order her signature jam preserves and tea, this page is a curated edit of her favourite fashion items, some of which she already owns.

These include the breezy Californian styles that have become Meghan's signature look. Think monochrome tailored trousers, oversized shirts, floaty summer dresses and timeless accessories.

On the show, she described one of her outfits to her friend Mindy Kaling as "hi-lo" (she'd pared Zara trousers with a Loro Piana top). True to her word, her ShopMy page includes a mix of designer and high-street fashion, including a gorgeous Uniqlo trench coat and With Nothing Underneath striped shirt.

Meghan Markle has been generously giving us a peek into her home life lately, and we're not complaining.

For her most recent share, Meghan took to Instagram Stories to reveal the gift the late Queen gave her that still plays a starring role in her kitchen: a trusty waffle maker.

The reason we know the waffle maker came from Queen Elizabeth is that Prince Harry told James Corden about it circa 2021, as reported by Hello!. "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker," the Duke of Sussex explained at the time.

"She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. So breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix."

He added: "Archie wakes up in the morning and literally just goes, 'Waffle?'" Precious.

Anyway, now that Archie is older and Lilibet is old enough to eat the same foods as her older brother, the Sussexes are still getting a load of use out of the waffle maker.

On Monday, Meghan infused a little whimsy into her cooking to celebrate St. Patrick's Day: she made green waffles for both the kids and the grown-ups in her household, plus what are either green smoothies or iced matcha lattes for her and Harry.

On her Stories, the Duchess walked us through the whole process, showing the green batter being poured into the waffle maker, then the final result.

For Archie and Lili, Meghan made round waffles into little faces with blueberries for eyes, kiwi for a mouth, and whipped cream for hair.

And for herself and Harry, she cut a waffle in half and added some whipped cream and strawberries on the side.

As with the Duchess of Sussex's latest business ventures, the show's success has generated plenty of excitement, which hints at her upcoming lifestyle brand, 'As Ever.' Homemade cakes and candles aside, one central talking point has had everyone lusting on social media—her strategic approach to fashion.

Speaking to friend Mindy Kaling in Episode two, Markle revealed she incorporates 'high-low' dressing into her wardrobe. Which ultimately means she enjoys mixing luxury pieces with others from the high street to curate her wardrobe basics.

The beauty of this look lies in the unexpected colour combination. For many, pairing light blue and black might seem like a daunting task. However, this Markle-approved version continues to experiment with textures,, blending a linen shirt with a twill skirt to help harmonise the contrasting colours. This is a great option for those looking for a chic office-friendly look that is also very comfortable. Simply add a pair of flats, and you're all set.

Meghan Markle has never met a dog she didn't like — you only have to image-search "Meghan Markle dog" to feel the truth of this.

But there's one dog in the Duchess of Sussex' life who has held a very special place in her heart for a long time now: her late beagle Guy.

The US-based royal's new Netflix show, titled With Love, Meghan, was only released this week, but was actually filmed last year.

Guy sweetly features a lot in the series, but very sadly passed away after filming.

In early January, Meghan announced Guy's passing on Instagram, sharing a long, heartfelt tribute to the family dog.

"In 2015, I adopted a beagle from a dog rescue in Canada. He had been at a kill shelter in Kentucky and given a few days to live. I swooped him up….and fell in love," the Duchess explained.

"They referred to him as 'the little guy' because he was so small and frail, so I named him 'Guy'. And he was the best guy any girl could have asked for."

Meghan went on to describe how Guy was by her side through every big milestone since he came into her life.

"Because many of you will now see Guy in this new series, I hope you’ll come to understand why I am so devastated by his loss. I think you may fall a little bit in love too," she continued.

"I have cried too many tears to count - the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there. But they are. And that’s okay too.

"Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy. You filled my life in ways you’ll never know"

As reported by Hello!, after episode eight of Meghan's show, the screen reads: "In Loving Memory of Guy."

The dog features heavily on the series, including when his mistress makes him some homemade dog biscuits, and says: "I would do anything for Guy, he knows it. He can do whatever he wants because he will be whatever guy you need depending on the day. My sweet guy my silly guy my saucy little guy, always my spoiled guy. He's also my old guy."

The Sussexes still own two dogs following Guy's passing: a black Labrador named Pula, and another beagle named Mamma Mia.

Meghan Markle first announced that she was launching her own Californian lifestyle brand in early 2024, seven years after closing her popular blog The Tig. The Duchess of Sussex's new venture, American Riviera Orchard, was posed to include everything from 'cookbooks, tableware, linens, a range of spreads and preserves', as per The Guardian, and would even stock her own-brand wine.

However, it had reportedly suffered delays later in the year, and it was unclear when Meghan would release more details or products. Now, just weeks before her new cooking show lands on Netflix, the Duchess has given an important update on the future of American Riviera Orchard.

In a video clip posted to her Instagram account, Meghan explained that the business was rebranding and taking on a completely new name: As Ever. Sharing the decision behind the move, the Duchess told her followers: "I’m shocked we’ve kept this a secret for so long. In two weeks my show is coming out, which I’m so excited for. And also my business, which I think there’s been a lot of curiosity about. Last year, I had thought, ‘American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name.’ It’s my neighbourhood, it’s a nickname for Santa Barbara, but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area."

Expanding on the new, all-encompassing name of her lifestyle brand, Meghan added: "It’s called As Ever. As Ever essentially means as it’s always been and if you followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening. This is what I do and I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years. But now I can."

In the caption of the post, Meghan elaborated: "This new chapter is an extension of what has always been my love language, beautifully weaving together everything I cherish — food, gardening, entertaining, thoughtful living, and finding joy in the everyday. I will keep sharing behind the scenes tidbits with you here as we ramp up to launch, and I can’t wait for you to get your hands on everything we’ve been creating."

The Duchess of Sussex is on the cusp of releasing her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, which is set for release on the streaming platform on 4th March 2025. It was initially slated for a January release but was postponed in the wake of the LA wildfires.

Nobody doubts Victoria Beckham's business acumen.

After all, the icon has built a fashion and beauty empire from the ground up under her name, and remains as relevant today as she was in the '90s as part of the Spice Girls—if not more so.

But every business mogul worth her salt knows that there's always room to expand, and Victoria is capitalising on this idea right now.

In fact, Posh Spice seems to be taking a couple of pages out of Meghan Markle's book right now: not only is she expanding her product offering, but she's also releasing a Netflix docuseries!

A new UK trademark application was published for Victoria which was filed on 3 February, for items in the Class 8 and Class 20 categories, suggesting she plans to sell items in those classes.

Class 8 includes items under the cutlery and tableware umbrella, while Class 20 covers soft furnishing and furniture.

"Firstly, the trademark bolsters her ability to take action against third parties who may be using the relevant name in the course of trade without consent," said an intellectual property lawyer speaking to the Mirror.

"The mere presence of these kinds of trademarks on the register can also act as a deterrent, where a third party is considering using the name without their consent.

"Secondly, it improves the ability to enter into agreements to commercialise the brand. By way of example, she may wish to license out the trademarks to partners and earn royalties that way."

The new additions are similar in nature to some of the items Meghan Markle reportedly plans to sell via her American Riviera Orchard brand, renamed As Ever just this week.

Victoria is making another significant career move that's reminiscent of Meghan's path: she's preparing to releasing a docuseries about her life on Netflix, following the success of her appearance on her husband's own documentary, titled simply Beckham.

Her doting husband David recently said: "I convinced her to actually let people see what she does every day and what goes into her business. She's a very clever and hard-working lady, so I want people to see that."

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry have already released several Netflix docs in the past, and the Duchess is preparing to release her new cooking show, called With Love, Meghan. An interesting link between the two women, who are rumoured to be somewhat at odds at the moment.

The Duchess of Sussex took to her shiny new Instagram account earlier today (Tuesday) to share some really exciting news: She's rebranding American Riviera Orchard, and has renamed it As Ever. The upcoming launch is super exciting, since it will combine the things we were excited about with ARO (jam!) with the old-school Meghan things she used to share with the world when The Tig still existed.

"As Ever essentially means as it's always been, and if you followed me since 2014, with The Tig, you know I've always loved cooking, and crafting, and gardening. This is what I do!" Meghan said in her video, filmed by Prince Harry.

"And I haven't been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can. So as things were starting to trickle out there, I wanted you to hear it from me first. Of course there will be fruit preserves. I think we're all clear at this point that jam is my jam. There's so many more products that I use in my home, and now it's time to share it with you."

You may have noticed that Meghan signed off "as ever" — something she's actually sneakily been doing since her first Instagram post with a caption, posted on 2 January. She was hinting to it all along!!! This is Taylor Swift levels of dropping hints.

Right now, AsEver.com is just a password-protected landing page, but it does feature a special gift for fans of the Sussexes: an absolutely stunning photo of Meghan walking hand in hand with her little girl Lilibet over some very green grass. This is a lovely surprise, as Lili has only rarely been seen in photos and videos shared by her parents since she was born in California in 2021.

In the new picture, Lili's red hair is shoulder-length, and she appears to be wearing an adorable powder blue romper. Aww!

We can't wait to see what Meghan has in store for us. Literally.

On 1 January, the Duchess of Sussex surprised us with her first-ever solo Instagram post since joining the Royal Family, which was a video of her writing "2025" in the sand.

After that, she used her @meghan account (so cool) to share the trailer for her upcoming cooking show With Love, Meghan, and a tribute to her beloved beagle Guy.

But has a celebrity really joined Instagram until they've shared their first selfie reel? It's debatable.

This week, the California-based royal delighted fans with a surprise makeup-free video of herself opening up a special delivery she received to her Montecito home.

Speaking into the camera, a glowing Meghan explained that while visiting those affected by the recent California wildfires in Altadena, she met a 15-year-old who had tragically lost her house.

The teenager's mum told Meghan that her daughter was especially upset about losing her Billie Eilish T-shirt in the fire, as she'd only just gone to her concert and is obviously a very big fan.

After hearing this story, Meghan explained that she moved mountains to get a message to Billie Eilish via some of her own friends, as she doesn't personally know the singer.

And in the video, the Duchess shows her followers what her parcel contained: tonnes and tonnes of merch from Billie herself, including a signed vinyl and a "Lunch" box, which Meghan jokes she's too old to understand. (For those of you who aren't pop music fiends, "Lunch" is one of Billie's latest hits.)

Meghan then explained that she was about to email the teenager's mum and start the process of getting the merch to her daughter.

The Duchess disabled the comments on her post, but tagged Billie, as well as Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo who also helped in the mission, plus her friend Kelly McKee Zajfen and the organisation Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery.

Among those who liked the post were Meghan's friends Delfina Blaquier and Serena Williams.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's future with Netflix is bright, per one of the streamer's execs.

There have been rumours over the years that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's contract with Netflix wasn't looking good, and could suffer the same fate as their partnership with Spotify.

However, Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria is really optimistic about the royal couple's future with the streaming giant.

"We have Meghan's new show coming out, which is great," Bela told the Daily Mail.

"It is such a great take on a lifestyle show and showcase for California, Montecito and nature. It really has great takeaways. I was like 'oh my God, I want to really do that pasta.' There's really easy great takeaways on life. I am really excited about that coming out."

The show in question is the Duchess' With Love, Meghan, which is slated for release on the platform on 4 March. It was originally planned for release on 15 January, but was delayed amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. It's a cooking and lifestyle show, which will feature guest stars including Mindy Kaling, Delfina Blaquier and Abigail Spencer.

And Bela spilled on another Netflix project of Meghan's: the film adaptation of Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune. That said, she wasn't able to confirm whether the project will 100% come to fruition.

"It is in development," she explained to the Mail. "It is a great book, she had it and we are happy to do it.

"And we have things in development. Everyone is excited about what is coming. I am really excited for her show."

News broke in the summer of 2023 that Harry and Meghan had acquired the film rights to the romance novel, and we really hope the adaptation moves forward!

As for their history with Netflix so far, the couple has released the documentary about their lives Harry & Meghan (2022), as well as one about the Invictus Games titled Heart of Invictus (2023), and one about polo, fittingly titled Polo (2024).

But it's not all been plain-sailing within the partnership, as Meghan's planned animated series for Netflix, Pearl, was cancelled circa 2022.

King Charles is starring in a new documentary, a showbiz-like move that one expert points out is eerily reminiscent of Meghan Markle's strategy as a media personality.

The monarch's film, which will be released on Amazon Prime, will centre around his environmental work over the years — and is based loosely on his 2010 book Harmony: A New Way of Looking At Our World, as reported by BBC News.

Charles is reportedly "greatly looking forward" to the film and the impact it could have on viewers. The project is already underway, filming at Dumfries House in Scotland.

Of course, it doesn't take a seasoned royal expert to see the similarities between this and Meghan and Prince Harry's professional life: the Sussexes have an ongoing contract with Netflix, which has already given us a look at their everyday life (Harry & Meghan) and at one of their initiatives (Heart of Invictus). The Duchess' cooking show, With Love, Meghan, is set to be released on 4 March.

"There is a new King in Amazon’s jungle! Hot off the weekend press was news that Charles had stolen a move from his daughter-in-law Meghan’s playbook and will soon be streaming green trees from Dumfries House," remarked royal expert and historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop, speaking to the Mirror. "Expertly timed to fill the sails of Saturday’s news agenda it was let slip that King Charles will be collaborating with Amazon Prime to get his environmental message out to a wider audience."

The King has appeared in a number of documentaries over the years, even making cameos on Corrie and EastEnders, so he's no stranger to the TV world.

But for Tessa, it's particularly telling that Charles opted for Amazon over the BBC or ITV, which have been the more natural choices for royals over the years.

"That’s right, the monarch has ditched our national channels for a platform with international reach," the expert commented.

So, did he get the idea from Meghan, or is this simply the future of royal forays into broadcasting? We shall see!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly shifting gears after pursuing what many royal commentators have called a 'professional separation'. Over the last few months, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were said to be focusing on their solo ventures in order to differentiate their work and ongoing projects. However, the couple will now be coming back together in the coming months with plans to attend more events together.

This change in strategy comes after the Sussexes were attended a number of functions solo late last year, including Meghan's Thanksgiving dinner - hosted on behalf of Archewell - and Harry promoting the 2025 Invictus games in Vancouver. The couple recently hired a new PR firm, Three Gate Strategies, which one source has claimed could be the reasoning behind the shift.

The insider told Express: "There will be a renewed focus on the Sussexes as a couple, as a brand and showcasing them as a couple and family. The Sussexes have decided to step back a little and let Ashley [Hansen, Harry and Meghan's former head of communications] take the reins on their PR plan."

Putting the plan in motion, the Duke and Duchess will both attend the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Vancouver on 8th February, whereas Harry was originally going to travel alone to Canada for the event.

"It was important for the Sussexes to appear together at such a worthwhile event," the source added. "The Invictus Games is a Sussex initiative and something they want their children to continue once they get older."

The Invictus Games are one of the projects closest to Prince Harry's heart. He founded the games in 2014 for sick and injured veterans who wanted to compete in sports contests.

Harry and Meghan recently came together to offer help to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. As well as opening their home to friends who had to evacuate, they are also reportedly planning a fundraiser to help victims.

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from royal life in 2020, the couple has relocated to the US and built careers for themselves outside of the monarchy. Harry's memoir Spare became an instant best-seller following its release in 2023, and their Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan holds the record for the biggest documentary debut on the streaming platform.

However, the transition away from royal life hasn't been plain sailing for the pair. As well as fragile familial relationships, Harry and Meghan have reportedly grown apart from some of their A-list friends - most notably, Victoria and David Beckham. Although the two couples were seemingly close when the Sussexes lived in the UK, many publications have claimed that there was a fallout following 'leaked details' from the royal wedding in 2018.

According to one source, Victoria has been 'hurt by the accusations that she was spreading gossip', but has reportedly 'mellowed' and is 'more forgiving than people realise'. However, despite the same insider claiming that Meghan has reached out to Victoria to build bridges, the wider family isn't too keen for Victoria to mend the friendship.

The source told In Touch: "The problem is David and her boys are still holding a major grudge. They’re super protective of her and don’t feel like she should give Meghan or Harry another chance. They’re just so offended and angry on her behalf and think she’d being way too nice about it all. As far as they’re concerned there is no going back."

The same insider added that David's loyalty lies with the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have had a strained relationship with Prince Harry since his royal departure. The source claimed: "[David] loves hanging out with William and has sided with him and Kate completely. If William and Harry mend fences then David would be more open to it, but as of now he’s dead set against it.

"[It] does put Victoria in an awkward position because she’s not going to go against her husband’s wishes, even if she is ready to let bygones be bygones, David is clearly not and she has to respect that."

Earlier this week, David called himself a 'huge royalist' during an interview in Davos at the World Economic Forum. Discussing his ongoing work with the family, he said: "I always get emotional talking about anything that I do with our Royal Family. I was brought up in a household that adored and loved everything that came with the Royal Family."

We know that Meghan Markle has had her engagement ring altered before, but fans think she may have given it another new look. In the trailer for the Duchess of Sussex' new Netflix show, titled With Love, Meghan, highly observant royal watchers noticed that the ring she was wearing on her wedding finger had a much squarer centre stone than the original ring she was given by Prince Harry in 2017 did.

"Is that the fourth evolution of the ring?" one X user asked, a question which received a number of answers from fellow royal fans.

"I don’t think centre stone is the same," speculated one person. "The original was more cushion shaped, and what she wears now is [closer] to emerald cut."

At the time, Meghan's ring had a rounder centre stone flanked by two smaller diamonds, set in a plain yellow gold band. Later, the band was changed to a thin pavé band — that is a band adorned with tiny diamonds all around. This change was reportedly made by Prince Harry himself, who enlisted A-list jeweller Lorraine Schwartz for the job.

In Omid Scobie's 2022 book Finding Freedom, he revealed that the Duke had had the ring changed, and Lorraine told Omid: "He's the loveliest person ever. So romantic, so thoughtful." The passage adds: "So much so that Harry also thought to have Lorraine resize and reset Meghan's engagement ring with a new diamond band."

Whether or not fans are accurate when it comes to their speculation that the ring has changed again, one jeweller has estimated that the Duchess was wearing a whopping £337,226's worth of jewels in her Netflix trailer.

"Unsurprisingly, the most valuable piece she flaunts is her breathtaking £120k three-stone engagement ring, which features diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal jewellery collection," Maxwell Stone of retailer Steven Stone tells Marie Claire UK. "Following closely is her £80k eternity ring — a deeply sentimental piece that subtly incorporates the birthstones of Meghan, Archie, and Harry on its underside, symbolising their close-knit family bond."

Maxwell adds: "In the trailer, one of the standout budget-friendly pieces she wears is a pair of gold-plated knot earrings from Anine Bing." The piece is worth around £265, says the expert.

So, in total that's well over £300k — whew!

Before she joined the royal family, Meghan Markle ran a successful lifestyle blog,The Tig, where she wrote about everything from vedic meditation to her updated Pimm's recipe. However, upon her engagement to Prince Harry, she announced that she would be stepping away from her career and personal projects to focus on her role as a full-time member of the monarchy, and as a result she shut down her websites and deactivated her Instagram account.

In the years following Meghan and Harry's departure from royal life, there has been speculation that the Duchess of Sussex would reinstate her online presence. After launching her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, last year, it's official that Meghan is returning to Instagram with her own personal account.

At 8am EST on Thursday, the Instagram account @meghan appeared as a verified profile belonging to the Duchess, and it has amassed almost 700k followers in less than 24 hours. For her comeback post, Meghan shared a video of herself running on the beach towards the shore, before writing '2025' in the sand and laughing as she skips off camera.

While the comments on the post have been turned off, many royal fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to share their excitement - although the eagle-eyed royal fans also spotted a very relatable mistake in the video that you probably missed the first time around.

Before Meghan reaches the spot in the sand where she pauses, there's a vague outline of a previously written '2025' in the sand to her left, meaning that she has likely re-filmed the clip until she got the right footage. Very relatable for anyone who films content.

Sharing their thoughts on Meghan's comeback, one person on X wrote: "Yes. She is baaack Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Take your power girl."

Another added: "I honestly think The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is a true inspiration to young girls everywhere."

It is currently unclear how Meghan will be using the platform - but time will tell!

In the early days of their royal exit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's professional lives were often intertwined.

But over the last few weeks, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have appeared to favour more of a "professional separation," whereby they go about their own pursuits instead — more like a regular couple than a royal couple, if you will.

This trend continues this week, with GB News reporting that Harry has an important commitment in New York City on 4 December which he'll be attending sans Meghan. The Duke will be heading to the Ki Smith Gallery to celebrate a new exhibition titled "Friend," whose profits will benefit his charity Sentebale. The organisation, which he founded with his friend Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006, works to support young people in Southern Africa (specifically Lesotho and Botswana).

Should you be stopping by NYC in the coming weeks, the exhibit will be open to the public between 14 December and 19 January. You can expect to see stunning artworks by the likes of Frank Stella, Bridget Riley, and Tadaaki Kuwayama.

The Duke will have a busy programme while on the East Coast, as he's also scheduled to attend The New York Times DealBook Conference. There, he will participate in a talk with Andrew Ross Sorkin, per GB News.

Meanwhile, Meghan will be busy with an engagement of her own, all the way across the country in Los Angeles: she will be at the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala, where she's set to participate in awarding family friend Tyler Perry with the Paley Honors Award, as People reports.

Royal commentators believe Harry and Meghan's "professional separation" is absolutely deliberate.

One source told People earlier this year: "It’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving," while a royal insider added: "The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals — not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track."

On that note, there has been some major news on Meghan's lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard this week. After unsuccessfully searching for a CEO, the Duchess has reportedly decided to take up the position herself, according to the Daily Mail.

As a reminder, ARO is expected to sell luxury items such as tableware, linens, stationery, yoga gear... and of course, jam.

It has been almost five years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they were stepping down as working royals. The couple relocated to the US and settled in Montecito, California, where they now live with their two young children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3.

Since their departure from royal life, Harry and Meghan have taken on a number of new ventures - from their Netflix docu-series, Harry & Meghan, to the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. However, following his admissions of past drug use in the controversial memoir Spare, Harry's US visa has been thrown into question with one think tank pushing for transparency with when it comes to the legitimacy of his residency.

In recent weeks, speculation that the Sussexes may return to the UK has been growing, particularly given that Prince William and Princess Kate have offered some public olive branches. But in a report for The Express, one insider claimed that the Sussexes don't see leaving the US as 'an option' - and it has a lot to do with their young son. The source claimed: "There are no plans for them to move from the US. Harry and Meghan feel at home in California, and they won't be leaving there without a fight... Meghan is a US citizen, and Archie has just started a new school, so to leave the place they call home isn't even an option."

Apparently, a number of their A-list friends are 'tempting' them to return to the UK, but the source added that Harry and Meghan have a 'very good legal team' - which they feel is important given that President-elect Trump has stated that he 'wouldn't protect' the Prince as he 'betrayed the Queen'. The insider continued: "They have a lot of support behind them to ensure that they will be able to remain in the United States."

In recent weeks, it has been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are trialling a 'professional separation' and will be making more solo appearances in the coming months. The couple, who celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary earlier this year, have reportedly made the decision in order to distinguish between their various projects.

Prince Harry has been in Canada promoting the 2025 Invictus Games, which will take place in Vancouver in February and will include a number of winter sports. Meghan remained in California, and recently attended a Thanksgiving dinner on behalf of Archewell.

A statement published on the official Archewell website, titled Celebrating Strength, shared more details about Meghan's event. It explained that the Thanksgiving dinner was set up after a year of 'building community through storytelling' and had created 'a safe space for women who have resettled in the US from Afghanistan.'

It read: "The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centred on gratitude and resilience... The dinner was hosted at Our Place, founded by Shiza Shahid, where the participants were gifted with new cookware for the upcoming holiday season. The Archewell Foundation remains committed to uplifting women and fostering community through shared experiences, reinforcing the importance of unity and support during challenging times."

It also stated that Meghan 'expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences, underscoring her excitement for future gatherings that continue to strengthen these connections.'

According to body language expert Judi James, Harry and Meghan's move towards more solo ventures shows how their relationship has 'evolved'. She told the Mirror: "Harry and Meghan's relationship seems to have evolved from a totally twinned one, where their body language was confined to appearances as a matching, complimentary and very royal-looking double act, to one that resembles the shape of a letter Y; joined and twinned at the base but also separating into two individuals moving into two rather separate professional directions."

As well as Harry's trip to Vancouver, the Prince has taken on a number of solo engagements in recent months, including trips to New York, the UK, and South Africa. Meghan has also made solo appearances at various charity events, including the 2024 Children's Hospital Los Angeles Gala in October.
