So I was like four months deep into training and then obviously got the phone call 12 days before [the Ironman] to go back into the villa."

While these are only the opinions of two of the contestants and some may still have felt pressured, it's good to see more individuals feeling more comfortable in their appearance before appearing on the show. Plus, kudos to Paige for not continuing with the PT if she didn't enjoy it - exercise should be about moving your body in a way that makes you feel good and boosts both your physical and mental health.

Here's to not feeling like you need to change your body for anyone, or any show - even if it is aired across the UK. Their job? Age? Hair colour?

Apparently, it all plays a part. After analysing contestants from all previous seasons, Paddy Power came up with the following.

Here's what makes a Love Island winner...

The boy with the best chance of winning the Love Island crown:

Aged 23

Works in sport or manual labour

Brunette

Enters the villa in week two

Only one partner

Stays loyal in Casa Amor

Sound like anyone? Jacques would have had the best chance of winning with four out of the six winning qualities. The brunette 23 year old entered the villa in week two as Gemma Owen's rugby player ex.

However, he didn't stay loyal during Casa Amor and dramatically left the villa before having a chance in the final.

And it seems that they could have potentially walked away with the £50k prize money as his partner Paige also seems to have the best chance of winning according to the research...

The girl with the best chance of winning has these six qualities:

24 years of age

Works in fashion or beauty

Also brunette

An original from week one

Has two partners throughout the experience

Stays loyal during Casa Amor

So, who does that leave as the couple most likely to win?

Although Davide only has one of the six qualities with his brunette hair, the self-titled Italian snack still has a chance of winning.

The research reveals: 'Despite featuring a predominantly English cast each year, a third of all winners have come from elsewhere in the UK, or beyond – such as Liam Reardon’s hometown of Merthyr in Wales, and Paige Turley’s Scottish home of West Lothian.'

Four of the previous female winners have worked in fashion and beauty, with ASOS buyer Millie winning the show last year.

Paige is 24, brunette, an original from week one and definitely stayed loyal in Casa Amor, and Adam Collard as her second serious partner could be a winning duo. Although he has arrived later than the week two ideal, so did previous winners Greg O'Shea and Calum Best - so who knows what could happen?

Oh, and their star signs might have something to do with it too.

The countdown to the final is on - what are your predictions?

Jenny started at MC seven years ago as an intern and has since risen to Features Editor. She is now the most published Marie Claire UK writer of all time, having personally written 10% of all articles in the website’s 22-year history. She was made a 30 under 30 award-winner last year and named a rising star in journalism by the Professional Publishers Association.

Working across news and features, Jenny is always trying something new, from interviewing women on the Formula 1 pit-lane and defence reporting in chinooks to covering the Toronto Film Festival and exploring Tokyo's backstreets.

She got her degree in International Development with French at the University of East Anglia, specialising in politics and gender studies. It was during her degree that she got her lightbulb moment that she wanted to work in the industry, building a team during her Erasmus year in the Loire Valley, France, and launching a student magazine from her student dormitory to gain experience.

Fast-forward eight years and she’s living her dream job as Marie Claire UK’s Features Editor, having worked her way up from intern.

When she’s in the office, Jenny can be found pumping out viral news and calling out inequality in her punchy opinion piece franchise - something that earned her the title ‘hatchet-faced feminist’ from a hate group against women. She now has the headline framed in her house.

Interviewing is Jenny’s favourite part of the job, whether it’s on a film premiere red carpet, a Hollywood film press junket or part of her acclaimed Women Who Win series, seeing her pick the brains of high profile game-changing women on asking for pay rises and pushing forwards.

Interviewing Jessica Chastain, Jude Law and Emilia Clarke have been her biggest pinch-me moments, but she’s still holding out hope for sit-downs with Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon and the Olsen twins before she hangs up her dictaphone.

Love Island continues tonight, with recent episodes sparking concerns around the male Islanders' "misogynistic and controlling" behaviour.

The notoriously provocative Movie Night challenge saw huge fallouts, with complaints lodged about the male contestants' actions.

Luca Bish was at the centre of the complaints. The 23-year-old accused Tasha Ghouri of using her boyfriend Andrew Le Page in order to make it to the final, before accusing his own partner Gemma Owen of flirting with fellow contestant Billy Brown. Despite this, he appeared to laugh openly at the female contestants when his male friends were caught being unfaithful.

While Owen repeatedly insisted that she hadn't crossed a line, Bish continued to interrogate her, with viewers warning that he was displaying signs of misogyny and gaslighting.

<img id="nrq36iZWako9uf3GcabuGJ" name="" alt="Lifted Entertainment. "The misogyny of this year is wild. Luca needs to get on a flight home and couple up with Jacques."

His family have since apologised on his behalf, stating: "We as his family don't condone his behaviour last night, but we do understand he is in an intense environment where his emotions are heightened. Last night was not reflective of the boy we all know and love at home."

<img id="yPG9DyAps58jqpmKw54wHj" name="" alt="Lifted Entertainment. We are talking to ITV, and they have shared with us information on their inclusion training, but what appears to be missing is specific information on abusive relationships and an understanding of controlling behaviour in relationships."

Women's charity Refuge also released a statement, posting: "The misogyny and casual sexism witnessed on this series of Love Island is extremely concerning. The double standards, gaslighting and coercive control being displayed by the men in the villa is hugely problematic."

A photo posted by on

This comes after the controversial decision by Love Island producers to bring back 2018 contestant Adam Collard, criticised during his first appearance on the show for his treatment of women and accused by some viewers of emotional abuse.

In fact, at the time, Women’s Aid, used Adam’s behaviour as a warning of abuse and gaslighting, speaking out just weeks ago as he returned.

"In the 2018 series of Love Island, we saw Rosie rightly call out Adam for his unacceptable behaviour, which included gaslighting and emotional abuse," Teresa Parker explained to Yahoo News UK. "We hope that ITV producers recognise how serious this issue is and that it must be learned from, considering they have asked Adam to return to the show."

She continued: "Love Island is watched by many young people and we know what a huge influence it has. Producers must make sure there is support for contestants throughout, and intervene if relationships become unhealthy or abusive.”

It is clear that something needs to be redressed.

We will continue to update this story.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, the 24-hour National Domestic Abuse helpline is available to call, on 0808 2000 247.

But the stars have different ideas for the contestants' love matches.

“My type on paper” is the phrase officially coined by Love Island. But what is their type in the stars?

"When combining love matching and astrology, the signs are split into harmonious duos who have similar life perceptions," explains Astrologer and manifesting coach Melanie Bentley-Moore, before citing the most harmonious matches as Earth & Water signs, and Air & Fire signs.

Without further ado, here all the Islanders' star signs and who they should couple up with as a result...

Gemma Owen

Star sign: Taurus - Earth

Astrological match: Melanie reveals that as a Taurus, Gemma seems to live up to the stubborn stereotype. Her family has described her as "very honest and a bit stubborn" and we certainly got to see that side of her when she shut down Ekin-Su. According to Melanie, an interesting match would be a Scorpio which is the opposite sign of Taurus. As they say, opposites attract! A lot can be learnt from an opposing sign, and guess who is a Scorpio? Brand new (and old) Adam Collard. Watch your back Luca.

Adam Collard

Star sign: Scorpio - Water

Astrological match: Apart from Gemma who is currently taken, the other Earth sign in the villa that would be a perfect star match for Adam is Paige. He already has his eye on her and the two have been for many a chat. So much so in fact that her partner Jacques decided to leave pretty soon after his return. Maybe he saw something we didn't, as the stars certainly align for the pair.

Paige Thorn

Star sign: Virgo – Earth

Astrological match: Melanie explains that "Virgos are the ones who pay attention to details and appreciate the small things. Virgos can be fussy when choosing partners". But going against her star prediction, Paige seemed pretty set Jacques, even turning down Jay who actually would've been an astrological match for her. Will she couple up with Adam now?

Dami Hope

Star sign: Aries – Fire

Astrological match: Dami and Indiyah were the favourites to win, until Dami's "lads holiday" during Casa Amor (eye roll). Melanie predicated that things could get intense between them, as two fire signs can be eruptive. She was certainly right, as Indiyah and Dami most definitely showed the fiery side of them both, when Indiyah dropped the best Love Island line ever, "May the best heartbreaker win." While the nation would love to see these two get back together, the fire and fire combination may be too much.

Tasha Ghouri

Star sign: Leo - Fire

Astrological match: A Leo woman needs a man that will allow her to shine brightly. Andrew definitely was that man up until Casa Amor, where the girls told him she was walking all over him (typical Leo fashion). Leo's love to be the centre of attention, so new partner Billy may not be the best match as he definitely likes to dominate the room too.

Pisces boyfriend Andrew would be compatible match as they are known for being able to bring out others' emotions, which we have certainly seen with Tasha. A Pisces and Leo can balance each other out well, and it has been said that a Pisces strokes a Leo's ego well. Maybe Andrew is the perfect match for Tasha after all.

There is finally a perfect Air match in the villa for Tasha... brand new bombshell Jamie Allen the Gemini. The footballer may not be in with a shot now that Tasha and Andrew are official but can Tasha's head be turned?

Davide Sanclimenti

Star sign: Capricorn – Earth

Astrological match: As Melanie explained, Earth and Water signs are the perfect match and the one female islander with a water sign? Antigoni. The pair did couple up, but now she has left the villa, there is not another water sign in there to rock his boat.

"Capricorn men can have that marmite effect, but as long as they have someone to put them in their place when needed in a down-to-earth manner, that can help. Capricorn men can be quite difficult to get through their walls, but once in, their loyalty is concrete."

Thinking that sounds exactly like a job that Ekin-Su could do? You're not wrong, as "two earth signs together can have a great understanding and appreciate the same things".

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

Star sign: Virgo - Earth

Astrological match: Matching with fellow Earth sign, Davide, could work for the pair. The two have proven to be very similar and they both stayed single during Casa Amor, choosing to stay with each other.

Unfortunately for Davide, and for "the new Ekin-Su", water sign Adam would be the perfect match for Ekin. Adam and Ekin? We could definitely see the stars aligning for that one. Terrace chat incoming.

Especially after Davide said she is as fake as a fake Louis Vuitton handbag, ouch.

Andrew Le Page

Star sign: Pisces – Water

Astrological match: There are three Earth signs that would pair well with Andrew's water sign: Gemma, Paige and Ekin. Astrological expert Melanie says of all of them, it is Andrew and Ekin that would make the perfect match.

"Pisces and Virgo are opposing signs, but have a lot to learn from each other, and do compliment one another once the balance has been found and maintained, as they will have similarities. Virgo can bring the Piscean back down to earth when needed, and the Piscean can help Virgo loosen up a bit and be more in touch with their emotions."

Andrew and Ekin-Su - will it happen?

Indiyah Polack

Star sign: Sagittarius – Fire

Astrological match: Sagittariuses are very open minded when it comes to love, which is definitely lovely Indiyah's style. Despite the fire, Dami could be a good astrological match for Indiyah, and as an Aries, the two can have a lot of energy together. The two signs will never get bored of each other, and that is exactly what the pair have admitted to wanting. A match made in heaven. I mean, the stars. New bombshell Jamie Allen is Gemini Air sign, who could sweep Indiyah off her feet and away from Dami.

Luca Bish

Star sign: Capricorn – Earth

Astrological match: Taurus is a great match for a Capricorn, and remember who is a Taurus? Gemma. As two earth signs, they can feel connected from the off, which is exactly how the pair have been since they entered the villa. Mutual respect and work ethic is a big thing for both of these signs, and if you are a keen Love Island watcher, you will remember Luca and Gemma talking about exactly this.

Although Luca has been told he can be too protective over Gemma, these two seem to be going the distance. Gemma is waiting until he can get the family seal of approval first, before they make things official, but could this perfect match be the winning couple?

Billy Brown

Star sign: Scorpio - Water

Astrological match: Ekin-Su. The new Casa Amor boy has been making waves since he entered the main villa in true Scorpio style. While he is currently coupled up with Tasha, he apparently has his eye on Gemma. His astrological love match Ekin-Su is currently swaying towards Adam, but if that doesn't work out, there is always Billy.

Danica Taylor

Star sign: Aries - Fire

Astrological match: Danica has been extremely unlucky in love these past weeks, but things are about to take a positive turn. Brand new bombshell Jamie Allen would be Danica's best astrological match. Jamie, as Gemini is an Air sign would be perfectly suited to Danica's fire. The two signs are compatible as they both bring excitement to the relationship, just as a bombshell always does. Aries and Gemini bring the passion and adventure, as well as bringing out an intelligent side to the pair. Let's hope they hit it off and couple up..

We can't wait to see what happens.

Jadie started her career at Marie Claire UK in 2018 when she joined the team as the Lifestyle and Social Media Editor, writing news and lifestyle features while managing the brands social channels and strategy. In 2022, she became the site’s News Editor and writes about everything from the latest dating show to politics to the seasonal Starbucks menus - all while overseeing a team of brilliant writers.

While her day-to-day generally revolves around daily news reporting, she can also be found testing unique experiences like spooning circles and orgasm workshops, committing to sweaty fitness challenges to see what all the fuss is about, or jetting off to find the best cocktails in Beverly Hills.

During her time at the University of Sussex studying English Literature and Drama, she blagged her way into a job as a theatre and music reviewer for the local paper and headed the university’s creative writing club. After graduating, she spent a year working as an intern for as many magazines as would take her before moving to Australia and travelling for almost three years. When she got back to the UK, she qualified as an NCTJ accredited journalist at News Associates and quickly landed her first job in the industry.

Jadie went on to work for a number of women’s fashion and lifestyle titles, including Grazia, Women’s Health and Stylist, and while there have been some incredible career highlights over the years (interviewing celebrities and reviewing boujee destinations) she has also embarrassed herself many times, whether it was impromptu beatboxing in front of a confused Disney star or hosting an awkward Facebook Live while making a milkshake.

For the last four years, she has happily been a part of the MC UK team, and when she’s not using her year 12 touch typing skills to pump out content at an impressive speed, she is blaming Mercury in retrograde for her problems, watching Les Miserables with a hangover, or travelling. She would be the perfect addition to any pub quiz team thanks to her impressive knowledge of the royal family, celebrity gossip and ability to decipher anagrams.

We've seen sparks fly, ballsy bombshells and cliffhanger re-couplings.

But one question that many fans have been asking this year is: how much alcohol are Love Island contestants actually allowed to drink?

While their evenings are usually made up of getting glam, heading to the garden and enjoying drinks from golden flutes, there is in fact a limit placed on how much they consume. Unlike other reality TV shows, we don't ever see the Islanders getting drunk - and there's a reason for it.

Former contestant Amy Hart told The Sun that there are restrictions in place for the islanders, saying: "It's definitely one drink in the night and you have to order it in the afternoon. You can have like white wine, red wine, beer.

"I think for every one glass of wine you can get two beers because they are little cans. That was it. There was no spirits or anything. You could have a glass of prosecco actually... It’s one drink and if it’s a particularly long night you get a second drink."

Talking to Tyla, former Love Islander Dr Alex George also revealed exactly how much alcohol those in the villa were allowed to consume during his stint on the dating show.

He said that while he appeared on the show contestants could drink 'four small cans of beer and that was it'.

He told the site: "That was the maximum allowance of alcohol, which wasn't a lot. I mean you certainly weren't getting drunk off that – but they were very, very strict on that."

Dr Alex also said he believes it's 'so important' that popular TV shows reflect 'safe practices when it comes to drinking', adding: "Talking more broadly I think we need to stop glorifying alcohol. Particularly at university glorifying alcohol consumption.

"The risk of death goes up drastically while you’re drunk, the risk of mental health illnesses rises in a relatively linear fashion with the amount of units you drink each week."

Former contestant Liana Isadora Van-Riel, who appeared on the show in 2016, once told The Sun: "You’re allowed one or two drinks a night, either wine or beer, no spirits."

At the time, a Love Island spokesperson confirmed: "We provide our islanders with all of the necessary precautionary measures and all alcohol consumption is strictly monitored by our production team."

Will other reality TV shows follow suit?

And what she did with her fee..

Getting cast on Love Island must be great for lots of reasons: you get to spend the summer sunbathing in a luxurious Mallorcan villa, you've got a decent chance of meeting someone you really like, and it's pretty much a golden ticket to a career as an influencer. Plus, you get paid for the privilege. And on that topic, 2021 contestant Priya Gopaldas has just revealed exactly how much contestants get paid for starring on Love Island.

Taking to Instagram stories, the medical student shared a screenshot of her pay cheque for £750 from ITV following her 8-day stint as talent on the popular ITV2 programme. In previous series, it was reported that Islanders received £250 per week for taking part - and it seems the fee is the same this year, too. Despite the fact that Priya only featured on the show for just over a week, all contestants would likely have had to quarantine for two weeks prior, meaning they would likely have been paid for that time, too.

The fee of £250 per week might not seem a lot when you consider the Islanders are being filmed 24/7, but many of the contestants leave with tens, or even hundreds of thousands of followers, which enables them to earn money through lucrative brand partnerships. Popular couple Millie Court and Liam Reardon also pocketed a shared £50,000 by being voted winners of the show during the series finale, so their pay cheque will be even healthier than everyone else's.

Priya Gopaldas, who is training to become a doctor, was dumped from the island with fellow Islander Brett Staniland one week before the show's final. And it seems the NHS cause remains close to the 23-year-old's heart, as Priya generously donated her entire fee to NHS Charities Together.

"Love Island pay cheque put to use," wrote the student doctor on Instagram, along with a screenshot of her donation via Virgin Money Giving. Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, the NHS Charities Together umbrella cause has raised more than £150 million for 241 individual NHS charity members based within hospitals, mental health trusts, ambulance trusts, community health trusts and health boards across the UK. The money raised is used to fund projects to improve services for patients, enables additional emotional and practical support for NHS staff and volunteers, and allows the whole health service to go above and beyond what would otherwise be possible.

Priya will now return to her studies at University College London, where she is due to complete her final year as a medical student before becoming a junior doctor. We look forward to seeing a lot more of her in the media once she's qualified, no doubt.

With over 10 years of experience on women's luxury lifestyle titles, she covers everything from the best beauty looks from the red carpet and stand out trends from the catwalk, to colonic irrigation and to the best mascaras on the market.

Originally from Wiltshire, she spent much of her childhood in Germany and Switzerland learning to ski, but failing the language. She went to Bournemouth University, where she studied Multi-Media Journalism.

She started her career on fashion desks across the industry - from The Telegraph to Brides - but found her calling in the Tatler beauty department. From there she moved to Instyle, before joining the Marie Claire digital team in 2018. Since then she has spearheaded the beauty content across the site. She aims to inject a little bit of joy into every piece that she writes and would hate for anyone to think she takes herself too seriously.

She’s made it her own personal mission to find the best concealer in the world to cover her tenacious dark circles. She’s obsessed with skincare that makes her skin bouncy and glowy, low-maintenance hair that doesn’t require brushing and a cracking good manicure. Oh and she wears more jewellery than the Queen.

Her favourite part of the job is recommending products that she knows her friends, family and readers will love and benefit from using. It was intense. I didn't want to leave, I wanted to wait and see what happened. We all know boys like those in the house. We're on season 7 and you kind of think, well I've seen everything that can happen to relationships, but then here's something new. As much of a guilty pleasure as Love Island is, I think the reason that we love it so much is that it's so much like real life. We connect with it. It doesn't matter who you are or how old you are, we've all had unrequited love or have someone not be totally truthful with us. There are so many comparisons to real life.'

A photo posted by on

On her morning routine

'My morning routine starts the night before. Years ago - teenage years, first years of uni - I was the person who when they woke up was wearing half their face from the night before. So now before I even start my morning skincare routine, I'm hoping to wake up to nice skin, because I prepped it the night before. I'm talking thoroughly removing my make-up with the best cleanser, maybe doing a face mask - something that sinks into the skin. When you wake up in the morning, and you know you have to get to work or you have a child, you don't have to spend too much time on your skin, because you've prepped it the night before.'

On being busy

'With beauty, it has to fit into my schedule. Beauty is so time consuming - keeping up to a certain level of grooming takes time. I don't have time to sit for an hour to do a whole routine. In my fridge, along with the milk, I have my AluminerMD Eye Rescue Pads. I stick them on whilst I'm making a cup of coffee. If I'm in a rush - my moisturiser has to have an SPF in it. Even if I'm not going to be in the sun, I have to have my best SPF moisturiser on. The things I get done whilst getting your hair done. I wrote some of my book, I reply to emails, I feed a child.'

On fitness

'Fitness for me is more linked to my mental health than my physical health. I used to do hot yoga all the time, but that hasn't happened in forever. My schedule is crazy at the moment, I'm working on a show that's very spontaneous and I'll be told: 'you're going to Mallorca this week.' Which is why it's important for me, no matter where I go, to have a pair of trainers in my bag. Whether I go on a walk or a run, maybe a little bit of stretching or Yoga by the side of the bed. You can do no wrong.'

A photo posted by on

On Love Island beauty

'What I love about Love Island is that the girls have their own eclectic looks. Iconic is the word. Some of them do make me smile. It's all about confidence. That's the important thing about beauty, you have to wear makeup that makes you feel good about yourself. I'm so jealous of their tans. I am the palest person on Love Island. They sunbathe all day and then I walk in with my Irish Skin and it's reflecting. And that's me with some tan on.'

On her go-to beauty look

'The most important thing when it comes to makeup is skin. I want it to look healthy and glowy. But my little tip is really just to throw on some red lipstick. When I'm feeling a little bit shit, I put some red lipstick on and I'm like 'I am ready'. If you're wearing red lipstick, no one is looking at the bags under your eyes. It hides a multitude of sins.'

A photo posted by on

On being pregnant

'When I was pregnant, I found that my hair and skin were the best they'd ever been. I don't know what was going on, but it was brilliant. I couldn't fit into any of my clothes, but my skin looked good. And I don't know if it's because I'm breastfeeding, but my skin and hair still feel quite good.'

A photo posted by on

On skincare

'My skin changes changes so much throughout the year and my regimen changes with it. It changes depending on the time of the month, the weather, the country I'm in. It's important to evolve your skincare with the changes in your life. When I was younger, I had psoriasis and eczema so I have really sensitive skin and I've always been really wary of what to use. I try to use cruelty-free products where possible. I really love that with AlumierMD, you have a consultation and then they prescribe products that are best suited to you. One of my favourites is the Bright and Clear Solution - it's active and I can feel it tingling. It makes your skin feel boom-ting. You can see a difference straight away. My make-up artist even told me recently that make-up is actually going on better thanks to these products.'

On being pale

'The most important thing is to love the skin that you're in. But when I was younger, I definitely did not. I hated how pale I was. It's taken me a while to accept it. I think there were lots of Irish girls in the early 00s the colour of an Oompa Loompa. When I was growing up there weren't any foundations light enough for me. I'm so pleased that now the beauty industry is embracing all sorts of skin tones of different colours. My mother used to put SPF50 on me when I was younger, but it used to dry out my skin. Now I use the AlumierMD Sheer Hydration Broad Spectrum SPF 40, which has a good SPF, but also hydrates.'

Follow Jenny on social media or get in touch for any inquiries.
</dc:description>

It was tragically announced last month that 40-year-old TV presenter Caroline Flack had died by suicide, with her death prompting a movement to ‘be kind’ in her memory.

The presenter was due to stand trial on the 4th March after she was arrested and charged with assault on boyfriend, Lewis Burton, at the end of 2019. She had pleaded not guilty to the charge. Following the arrest and her subsequent stepping down from her job presenting Love Island, Caroline had been hounded by paparazzi and vilified across the tabloids and social media.

Today a petition for ‘Caroline’s Law’ was handed to government, calling for an end to bullying by the media and to prevent further tragedies. It has been signed by over 850,000 people.

The petition, addressed to Oliver Dowden MP, Secretary of State for Media, was set up by a member of the public following Caroline’s tragic death on 15 February - gaining 500,000 signatures of support in just two days.

Its aim? To end the harassment and bullying by the British press, and change in the way the media sensationalise the misfortune of individuals.

Getty Images

‘We need the media to be held accountable for the way they harass and vilify people - in the public eye and ordinary members of the public alike,’ announced Holly Maltby, Campaigns Manager at 38 Degrees. ‘The sheer support behind the campaign shows politicians need to urgently step in and make sure there are consequences when the media bully and harass.’

She continued: ‘We have been contacted by hundreds of members of the public sharing their own experiences of being persecuted by the press. It truly is heartbreaking. And shows the devastating effect this type of reporting has on people’s lives, in particular their mental health. That’s why 850,000 people are demanding the minister acts now to end bullying by the media.’

Persecution harassment and vilification in the press can have devastating consequences for those targeted, and from famous figures to unknown members of the public, it can affect anyone.

38 Degrees has collected hundreds of stories from members of the public who’ve been the targets of press intrusion and harassment. Gerry Perryman whose son died in a car crash along with two friends said: 'The following morning we had the media banging on our front door asking for details of his life and any photographs. [They] did not care we were totally distraught and in pain.' And a headteacher at a school where a student tragically took their life said: 'The press invaded our site, sent reporters and photographers onto our premises after being told to leave, tried to intimidate me and colleagues into giving quotes, tried to photograph and interview students. This went on for weeks. We were all in shock with many needing grief management and many needing counselling for months after. The intrusion of reporters into this made everything much worse.'

Action needs to be taken.

If you want to show your support for Caroline’s Law, get involved and sign the petition.
