Emily in Paris season six is officially in the works. And from the surprise location change to Greece to the all-star returning cast (Ashley Park, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucien Laviscount and Lucas Bravo to name a few), the popular series never fails to generate interest.

However, it was a "bittersweet" update that made the Netflix show headlines today, as Emily in Paris star Lily Collins confirmed that the upcoming instalment would be the show's final season.

"Hey, it's Lily. I just wanted to share something with you all. After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Cooper, I'm here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final," Collins announced in a video message, posted to Netflix's social media channels.

"Season six will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily's adventure of a lifetime," she continued. "Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we're now filming.

"I can't wait for all of the magic ahead, and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet. We're so incredibly grateful and we love you all."

"Annnnnd we're back — for the last time," Collins posted on her own Instagram profile, captioning a series of photographs on location in Mykonos. "Emily in Paris takes on Greece (and of course France) for one final, epic adventure. Let’s make it the most incredibly special season yet!…"

The "bittersweet" update has prompted an outpouring of support for Collins and the show, with fans mourning the end of the cult classic, while celebrating the show as a whole.

"I am definitely grieving this," read one comment on Collins' post. "Thank you for everything, you made us happy for 6 years! It was wonderful!"

"Nooo not the last one. I am not ready to say au revoir," one fan added, while another posted: "So not ready for the end, but excited to see the next sunny adventure."

There is not yet an official release date for Emily in Paris season six, but we will continue to update this story.

Emily in Paris season six is officially in the works, with Netflix confirming the next instalment earlier this year.

Lily Collins will of course be returning to the show's helm as our resident American in Paris, Emily Cooper. And joining her for S6 will be the all-star EIP ensemble cast, including Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) and Lucas Bravo (Gabriel).

It is the show's upcoming location change that has made the most headlines, as it was reported that season six would be taking Emily in Paris to Greece.

Yes, really. According to show creator Darren Star, filming is expected to take place across Greece and Monaco, with production starting in May 2026, and spanning four months.

The news of the location change is an exciting development for fans, hinting at a possible reunion between ex partners Emily [Collins] and Gabriel [Bravo].

The season five finale saw the on-off couple parting ways, with Gabriel leaving Paris, telling Emily: "I'm excited for the future, wherever it brings me. And I think you should be too."

Then later, upon discovering that she and Marcello have broken up, Gabriel invites Emily to visit him in Greece, with the show ending on a cliff hanger around whether Emily will accept.

The new development therefore suggests that we could be in store for a rekindling of Emily and Gabriel's romance.

The show's location change comes after a temporary move to Italy, with Emily in Paris seasons four and five filmed across Rome, Venice and Tuscany.

However, despite the multiple relocations, Darren Star has confirmed that the show's home will always be Paris.

"There’s a lot of places I’d love to visit. But I think the show organically [follows] the storyline," Star explained in a 2025 press conference.

"It’s never going to permanently leave its home base. But if I can take the audience on a journey somewhere else, I would love that … [It’s] fun to think about."

I may be committing a television faux pas by admitting this but I find Emily Cooper exhausting. Her chaotic antics that always seem to lead to a more unbelievable (yet always positive) outcome, her ability to turn literally everything into a work opportunity and her commitment to partying every night at the same time, exhausting. From chocolate brown tones to sheer fabrics, Lily’s embraced some of the more moodier AW24 trends giving them a cool girl-edge through the addition of black leather and silver jewellery. This week, it was the Netflix show's stars that made headlines as Lily Collins paid a beautiful tribute to castmate and onscreen BFF Ashley Park, to honour her birthday. And unsurprisingly, her sweet words have gone viral.

"Happy birthday to a woman I'll never be able to properly express my love and admiration for," Collins posted to Instagram, captioning a carousel of photographs documenting their friendship. "Ashley Park you are too funny for words and I don't know how we ever get any work done. You're the most incredible scene partner (when we finally calm down). You are beyond a shadow of a doubt one of the greatest gifts in my life. You're family forever and I love you so so much..."

Replying in the comment section, park posted: "I love you. Thank you for being there for me this past year especially and always."

This is not the first time that either Park or Collins has acknowledged their close bond. In fact, Park posted a similar tribute to her friend earlier this year, calling her "the best scene partner, sister, and safe place to me."

"Lily, I can't put into words how genuinely beautiful it is to watch you grow in unwavering heart and empowering smarts through each birthday, on this set and beyond...," Park continued. "You are there for me in ways that I'd never expect you to be. To be candid, these past couple months working in Paris while navigating my health and new norm of energy have been incredibly difficult for me. But having you by my side and uplifting me, as you always have Lily, has given me the strength to persevere in times when I need it most. You do this for so many around you Lils. Emily in Paris season four is officially in the works, and with the season three finale leaving a lot up in the air, viewers are counting down the days until the next instalment.

Can Emily finally make it work with Gabriel? Will he and Camille become parents? Is S4 set to see Mindy compete in Eurovision? Will she finally get back together with Benoit? And will Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) be making a return?

EIP viewers are desperate to know, with super fans doing some online sleuthing to predict potential plots for the fourth instalment.

One such theory spread this weekend after an Instagram post from Lily Collins (AKA our gal Emily) in Tokyo went viral, sparking excitement that part of season four might be filmed in Japan.

The post in question saw Collins pose against the Tokyo skyline, with one building, The Tokyo Tower, resembling the Eiffel Tower. 

"Throwback to finding a little bit of Paris in Japan. Emily in Tokyo?.." Collins captioned the snap, with excited fans commenting in their thousands. 

"It would be great to see Emily's adventures in Tokyo," posted one follower, while another added: "Yes, we want Emily in Tokyo".

So, will Emily in Paris season four feature a visit to Tokyo? Only time will tell, but according to viewers it would certainly seem possible. Particularly given the fact that the Netflix show is reported to be changing up its locations this season, with part of S4 reported to be filmed in Rome, Italy.

"While Emily's heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season," Lily Collins explained at a 2023 Netflix TUDUM event. “Don't be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”

There is no current official release date for Emily in Paris season 4, but it is thought to be landing some time in winter 2024.

Emily In Paris might not be back on our screens just yet, but that's not to say we can't still get a glimpse of Emily Cooper in action - albeit only briefly in a new ad for NBC Sports. We're all impatiently waiting for season four of Emily In Paris to land on Netflix, but following the Hollywood strikes we may have to wait a little longer before we return to the Parisian streets. So we were a little surprised to see Lily Collins back in her role as Emily Cooper way ahead of schedule. 

Lily is the latest famous face to appear in a new advert from NBC Sports promoting the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the tongue-in-cheek skit, the marketing exec pitches the idea to NBC executives that athlete Noah Lyles should wear a gold uniform created by Pierre Caudault - the fictional designer in Emily In Paris. 

At the end of the meeting, Emily is seen spraying champagne - Champere Champagne, of course - as a nod to her fictional client in the show. 

Emily's “stylish pitch fits perfectly with our strategy and will generate excitement for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, one of the fashion capitals of the world," explained Jenny Storms, CMO of Sports and Entertainment at NBCUniversal in a statement (via Variety).

Lily's not the only one creating some hype around the Paris 2024 Olympics. Megan Thee Stallion and Peyton Manning have also had starring roles in promos for NBC’s 2024 coverage. The games are set to take place from 26th Jul 2024 – 11th Aug 2024.

The fourth season of Emily In Paris has been highly anticipated. Last summer, Netflix released a new trailer hinting about what's in store for the new instalment of the hit Netflix show, with Lily herself giving some clues to readers. 

While the actor didn't give too much away in terms of plot details, she did reveal that Emily will be taking a Roman holiday during the series. 

Lily told the camera: "We have more fun, more fashion, and, of course, more drama in store. While Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes an unexpected twist this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday."

Lily Collins has candidly opened up about a 'toxic' past relationship in her twenties where she was 'made to feel very small' and subjected to 'belittling' name calling and emotional abuse. 

The Emily in Paris star appeared on the We Can Do Hard Things podcast and hosts Glennon Doyle, Amanda Doyle and Abby Wambach: "For me, my romantic toxic relationship was a lot of verbal and emotional abuse and being made to feel very small. He would call me ‘Little Lily'... and he’d use awful words about me in terms of what I was wearing and would call me a whore and all these things."

Lily added that his comments would make her feel as though she 'had to make myself small to feel super safe', continuing: "When you get told something over and over again, and you’re at an impressionable age, you become conditioned to believe that that is what it is and you are what they say you are. And it’s confusing."

This left the actor 'physically reacting', and experiencing skin breakouts, panic attacks and kidney infections. 

However, Lily said she sought therapy when the relationship ended and it was only then that she recognised she had experienced emotional abuse. Despite the amount of time that has passed, she commented on how these experiences can resurface years later. 

"It’s not until now that I can recognise that flight or fight feeling, or the feeling of needing to hibernate," she said.

"That panic is what I can still get triggered by, even if I’m in the most healthy relationship, there can be a moment that happens throughout the day where history comes back like that. Your gut reacts, your heart drops and all of the sudden you’re taken back to that moment where they said that thing to you 10 years ago but you’re not in that situation now."

The Emily in Paris star is now married to filmmaker Charlie McDowell, with the couple exchanging vows in 2021, two years after meeting on the set of Gilded Rage.

Emily in Paris season three hit Netflix in late December, and fans are still talking about the très dramatique finale. 

In less than ten minutes, Mindy caused carnage at the pre-wedding lunch by arriving in a helicopter and blowing every fancy French napkin into the bushes - and literally no one was mad about it. Gabriel, initially slow-moing around with Champére, went from soon-to-be Michelin star hero and husband, to dumped baby daddy. And Emily watched Alfie walk away for the last time because even he knew he deserved more. Sob. 

Aside from the fact that the bubbly marketing executive can somehow (heavy emphasis on the how) afford Balmain and Valentino but hasn't changed her phone case in years, viewers have noticed that there's something even more questionable than Emily's never ending pot of euros. 

One TikTok user @myfantastictravels noticed a pretty large continuity error in the latest season, and once you spot it you won't be able to unsee it. 

During the third episode of season three, Emily visits Madeline as she continues to weigh up her options - go back to Chicago for the promotion she has been working hard for, or stay in Paris and join Sylvie's start-up agency. She looks out of the window and takes in the gorgeous views of the city, the Eiffel Tower visible through the left window. 

However, as she continues to walk towards the balcony, the Eiffel Tower suddenly disappears behind a wooden panel and re-appears on the right. 

The clip has been liked over 23,000 times, with comments ranging from: "Emily in Universal Studios" to "You didn't know? Paris has two Eiffel Towers!"

Others are convinced that actually, there is a mirror hanging on the left wall and that it isn't a window at all, therefore it's just reflecting the image of the landmark.

Emily in Paris season 3 hit Netflix in December, and fans are still in shock after that très dramatic finale. 

While the storyline definitely got people talking this series - viewers are in agreement that Alfie deserved better - it has also sparked a lot of questions. Should Camille have admitted to her own illicit frisson at the altar? When is Emily going to get a new phone case? And how can we cultivate enough confidence to wear latex in broad daylight on a first date, à la Mindy?

And while all of the above questions demand immediate answers, one thing that has been on fans minds since season one is how on earth Emily affords her lavish lifestyle.

Well, the experts at New Casinos have analysed the protagonist's lifestyle to determine her annual spending compared to her salary. They estimated her salary to be €45,251 (£39,063.65), and worked out just how much she is spending on rent, clothes, utilities, dining out, nightlife and coffee to see if the numbers add up.

How much does Emily in Paris' lifestyle actually cost?

The research confirms that Emily is pretty carefree when it comes to spending on luxury designers, spending around £63,853.73 annually (£5.3k per month) on clothes and accessories - Valentino, Prada, Christian Louboutin and Balmain, to name a few. In fact, she was also spotted in a Vassilis Zoulias yellow printed jacket in season two which costs an eye-watering £44k. Casual. 

In terms of rent, she's predicted to be paying £27,545.09 annually (roughly £2,295 per month) as her apartment is located in Place de l’Estrapade in the 5th arrondissement, near popular attractions like the Pantheon. Her utilities come in at £1,972.60 a year (£164 per month).

And what about socialising? All those outdoor lunchtime wines and nibbles add up. She spends roughly £2,693.39 a year on the assumption that she dines out twice a week. She's also spending £1,077.36 a year on nightlife with pals Camille and Mindy. So her social life is roughly costing around £314 per month.

Transport is also a cost to consider, especially seeing as Emily is constantly in taxis and dodging the Metro - making a £2,450.98 a year sized dent in her finances. 

And finally, coffee. Apparently she's spending £189.57 a year on lattes. 

So, on the basis that she earns around £39k a year, Emily's spending totals a whopping £99,782.72 a year to maintain her lavish lifestyle - which is precisely £60,719.07 over her annual income. Crikey. 

A spokesperson from New Casinos commented: "When it comes to our favourite fiction TV shows, we sometimes have to remind ourselves that it isn’t a reality. Emily in Paris is a show in which extravagance is at the core but it’s interesting to see just how unrealistic the luxurious living of Emily is. 

"The findings are a friendly reminder that her lifestyle isn’t exactly one to admire, given that her salary doesn’t cover half of her spending."

The new year is here, the wellness planners have been cracked open and we're all slowly trudging back into the office. But there's something about the end of 2022 that still has people reeling/talking/sobbing.

No, it's nothing to do with The Traitors or the fact that leftover sandwiches are on hold for another year. It's everything to do with Emily In Paris season 3. 

The show aired on Netflix in December, and it's becoming quite the festive tradition to sit on the sofa robotically eating Celebrations while binge watch Lily Collins and Ashley Park darting around the city of love in the most eye-popping outfits.

While fans have their beady eyes on every accessory (including Emily's iconic phone case), it's the plot that has really sparked some intense reactions. 

For those who haven't watched it yet (and the only question is: why?), look away now because spoilers. 

The last time we saw the social media/PR/marketing/who-knows-what-her-job-title-actually-is whizz, she was deciding whether to stay in Paris and work for Sylvie or return to the US with Madeline.

This season, Emily makes her choice - picking the sparkles of France and working on her relationship with London boy, Alfie. 

Despite their rocky moments, Emily seems pretty happy with the relationship while also maintaining a friendship with her former lover and current pal, chef Gabriel. 

However, by the time the finale rolls around, Camille is turning Gabriel down at the altar because she knows he loves Emily, and confesses that the only reason they're not an item is because of the pact they previously made. 

Obviously, with Alfie and Emily sat in the pews watching it all unfold, Alfie decides to leave - refusing to be Emily's second choice. 

Oh, and then it turns out that Camille is also pregnant. Quelle drama. 

But while processing the pure insanity that was the last ten minutes of the season, viewers are all agreed when it comes to one thing: Alfie deserved better. 

One fan wrote on Twitter: "I’m upset with how wrong they did Alfie in this last season of Emily in Paris."

Another added: "They did so bad with Alfie tho. The guy got caught in the mess he deserves better."

One also tweeted: "Emily in Paris should be called Cheaters in Paris bc nobody in this show is loyal except Alfie."

Another reads: "Adulthood is realising that Alfie is the best man on Emily in Paris. He’s emotionally available, invested, knows exactly what he wants, doesn’t hesitate to draw boundaries and well he’s fucking hot. Team Alfie!"

Yes, yes and absolutely. 

Emily In Paris had the majority of us glued to our sofas, binge watching every episode, contemplating moving to the French capital to channel our inner Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins.

While we admired the relationships, friendships and close bonds Emily forged in the series, it turns out they were equally as close off set too.

Lucien Laviscount, who portrays Emily's British love interest Alfie in series two, has admitted Lily gave him the confidence boost he needed to take part in the franchise, especially after the success of the first season.

Speaking to Grazia about his co-star, the former Waterloo Road actor said: "I felt like the new kid in school. Lily came up to me at the read through and said, 'This is going to be trouble.' I said, 'What does that mean?' She said, 'Lucien, trust me, you’ve got this.' It gave me all the confidence."

Emily In Paris is tipped to get a follow up series, and Lucien, 29, has even hinted to a fourth season, which has got us far more excited than we can express in words.

Lucien believes the Netflix show is such a hit because it sparks conversations.

He shared: " You watch an episode and, in that 15 seconds afterwards, you look at your partner or your friend and you just want to talk about it straight away."

Though it seems the closest we will get to any hint of the plot for the upcoming series is just behind the scenes selfies on Instagram with minimal captions from the cast, Lucien has shared his hopes for the future of the show, which includes Emily storming to success in her career, as in the last series Savoir boss Sylvie was launching her own company and wanted Emily on board.

Lucien proposed his ideal for the follow up seasons: "I’d love to see Lily take more of a co-ownership of the company. And step into that boss role a little bit more and make some decisions. I think that’s one thing that Emily’s still really figuring out about herself. It’s sexy that she’s still at that stage but it would be nice to see her bring some deals to the table."

Emily In Paris became an instant hit the minute it landed on Netflix in October. It's not only an easy watch, but it's très chic - namely because the looks are styled by none other than Patricia Field, the brains behind Carrie Bradshaw's iconic outfits in Sex And The City.

While some of the storylines are, well, less than believable, and it faced backlash for its portrayal of Parisians, the fact remains that it has been a huge success since appearing on our screens.

However, it turns out that we've all been pronouncing it wrong - including the star of the show, Lily Collins.

That's right. Not only was it confirmed by Netflix, but the actress revealed that she too read it incorrectly.

In a tweet last month, the streaming giant wrote: 'Friendly reminder Emily in Paris is supposed to be pronounced with a French accent so ‘Emily’ and ‘Paris’ rhyme.'

So instead of pronouncing it 'Emily in Paris', it supposedly should be said 'Emil-ee in Pa-ree'.

But it turns out even Lily was getting muddled.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the host read the tweet to her - and she admitted that although during filming she heard people referencing it as 'Pa-ree', she assumed it was because they were actually in France.

She said: 'Here’s the thing. When we were shooting in Paris, we heard people referencing as that more often, right? Because we’re in Paris, and the accent. I was like, "Oh yeah it rhymes, that’s cute."

'Literally forgot about it. Came back home. It was never like a big thing and then I felt like I was one with every single other person in the world that found that out the same day, because I was like, "Wait, have I been saying it wrong?"

'And I was like, "Oh my god, I fell for it."

'I’m Emily, and I even was saying it wrong. I feel like that’s actually something Emily herself would be like, "Well, I guess I was part of the joke."'

Don't worry, Lily - I think we're all in the same boat here.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the show aired, leading actress Lily Collins says she's found the public backlash difficult but is trying to embrace it as an opportunity for improvement.

In an interview with Vogue Arabia, the 31-year-old actress admitted: "As disheartening as it sometimes is to read these things, it’s also a gift; you’re being allowed to improve."

If another series of the show does happen, she said she'd love to "evolve the narrative"of her character, Emily. When asked if she helped to develop the character in the first season, she said the producers "championed [her] opinions and opened [her] up to an experience that was so rewarding and empowering."

What about the other cast and crew, you ask? Some have, interestingly, semi-agreed with the criticism. Take actor Lucas Bravo, who plays lead character Gabriel in the show.

Addressing the backlash, he said: "I think they're right, in a way. We're portraying cliches and we're portraying one single vision of Paris. Paris is one of the most diverse cities in the world. We have so many ways of thinking, so many different nationalities, so many different neighbourhoods. A lifetime wouldn't be enough to know everything that's going on in Paris."

But, on the other end of the spectrum, producer Darren Star won't be apologising anytime soon. "I'm not sorry for looking at Paris through a glamorous lens," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

"The first thing she is seeing is the clichés because it's from her point of view," he explanded. "I wanted to do a show that celebrated that part of Paris."

The English-American actress Lily Collins is as well known for her movies as for being a regular fixture on the best-dressed list.

Despite having blockbuster movies like Mirror Mirror under her belt, Lily Collins hasn’t always felt that she ticked those neatly defined beauty boxes.

‘When I was six and first moved from England to Los Angeles [after her parents musician Phil Collins and his second wife Jill Tavelman divorced], there were cultural differences right away,’ she says. ‘Obviously I sounded very different with my accent and my brows were maybe more European and I just felt a little bit like an alien.’

On the subject of those brows, Collins admits she had a love-hate relationship with them when she was younger.

‘I didn’t understand them,’ she says. ‘It was the 90s when thin brows were in and I thought, ‘oh my God they are bold!’. I wanted to blend in so I tended to shy away from accentuating my eyes because I thought maybe they are too big as well. Then I fell in love with Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara. Suddenly it was like my brows helped to showcase my eye. It was a big thing for me to learn.’

At age 16, Lily Collins began starving herself, exercising obsessively and became addicted to diet pills. She only felt comfortable to talk about her eating disorders when she turned 28.

‘At the time I was writing Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me, where I discussed different things I went through growing up, and filming To The Bone, which was about a young woman suffering with chronic anorexia.

'I just felt that in order to truthfully speak in my book and to truthfully play this character in the movie, I was going to have to draw from my own experiences. It connected me with so many people around the world and hopefully it made them feel less alone.’

Her take on beauty in 2019?

‘Different’ is a wonderful word. We also become more confident when we remember that the things that make us ‘not perfect’ are actually what make us grow into more interesting human beings.’

Do you believe in magic? Well, start believing because in a roundabout way, we’re getting more Lord of the Rings. Well, more insight into how it all began. A new movie will follow the life of J.R.R. Tolkien and Lily Collins has just joined the cast.

The biopic centres on the life of the author of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Titled Tolkien, the film will tell the story of Tolkien’s life pre-World War I 'as he finds friendship, love, and artistic inspiration among a group of classmates,' Variety writes. These experiences inspired the magical stories and world of his famed books, and we’re so excited to get even greater insight into the life and inspirations behind one of our favourite authors.

Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) will play the title character, with Lily Collins (To the Bone) in the role of his wife and muse, Edith Bratt.

Bratt was said to be the inspiration for the female elven characters in the world Tolkien created. How sweet! We can basically thank her for the wonderful Liv Tyler as Arwen.

Collins herself tweeted that she is a Tolkien fan and is excited to take on the role.

It’s awesome that a fan of the author will get to take part in the film.

Since casting is still underway, there’s no word on when the film will hit theatres, but it’s exciting to know that we’ll soon have more Tolkien magic in our lives.

‘Of course I was nervous right away with the subject matter’

We are counting down the days till the release of the highly-anticipated Netflix film, To The Bone, with the feature winning rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film follows the story of Ellen, a 20-year-old woman battling anorexia, following her journey of recovery as she goes from centre to centre.

The reception to the announcement of To The Bone has been divisive, with some deeming the subject triggering. It has since been praised however, for it’s careful production, with both the lead actress, Lily Collins, and the writer/director, Marti Noxon, having suffered from eating disorders in the past.

Lily Collins is not afraid to talk about her struggle with eating disorders, and in a recent interview on Lorraine, the 28-year-old actress opened up about playing a character with the illness, stressing how proud she is to be a part of the project.

‘It’s actually the first feature film that’s been done about eating disorders and I feel so proud to be a part of it, to keep it entertaining in a way but also informational,’ Lily stated, going on to explain how she managed to lose weight for the role, having struggled with an eating disorder in the past.

‘I was kept under strict supervision by producers, director, my own mother and also a nutritionist so we worked very closely together, very healthfully,’ she explained. ‘But of course I was nervous right away with the subject matter, but I knew that it was for a greater purpose and I’m older now and I have a different perspective on it.’

‘I was actually excited to be able to tell the story to open up further conversation for young women and men around the world.’

Those eyebrows though

Guildford-born actress Lily Collins may have an American accent but she's a total British girl at heart. The 28-year-old is the daughter of Disney soundtrack favourite Phil Collins and Los Angeles native Jill Tavelman - and was born in good old Surrey before relocating to LA as a child.

The actress officially broke Hollywood when she starred as Sandra Bullocks' daughter in 2009's The Blind Side. And, it wasn't long before starring roles followed, including the Snow White remake Mirror Mirror and the film adaptation of Cecilia Ahern's Love, Rosie. 

But, it wasn't just the silver screen that took a shining to the star, the fashion and beauty world came knocking too with Lily landing a Lancôme contract and cementing her spot on the FROW. (Have you seen her eyebrows!? They are perfection).

Oh, and have we mentioned Michelle Obama wrote her a personal letter applauding Lily for her candid new book Unfiltered? Yup. Plus everyone's talking about seeing Lily Collins in To The Bone on Netflix too.

Now, she stars in Rules Don't Apply, a film based on Hollywood billionaire Howard Hughes who you may know from when Leonardo DiCaprio starred as him in the 2004 biopic The Aviator. 

Her new film was written, directed and stars Warren Beatty (yes, the actor who was unfortunately at the forefront of the Oscars envelope blunder) and is all 1960s Hollywood glamour.

Lily plays an aspiring actress who gets caught up in the web that was Howard's existence as a businessman, investor, film director and notorious womaniser and eccentric.

We caught up with Lily to ask her some probing questions that have been proven by psychologists to accelerate closeness (and even lead to love).

Lily Collins has been open about her own struggles with an eating disorder, now she's drawing on her experience in new film To The Bone

Lily Collins is drawing on her own history with eating disorders for her new role in To The Bone, in which she plays Ellen, an unruly, smart 20-year-old, trapped in her struggle with anorexia and regularly shipped between one recovery centre to another.

The film, also starring Keanu Reeves, won rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival and was quickly snapped up by Netflix for a reported $8 million. To The Bone is the semi-autobiographical tale of writer and director Marti Noxon, who also suffered from an eating disorder as a young woman.

Lily spoke to Vanity Fair about how she found a kindred spirit in Marti, and knew right away that it was the role for her: 'Marti is such a badass. She's such an empowering woman. It's loosely based on her experiences and also on my experiences with eating disorders in my past [sic.]. When I started speaking to her in that first meeting I was like - oh my god we're like soul sisters. I related to it right away.'

Lily is not the only person in the public eye to have opened up about her struggle with eating disorders - Zayn Malik and Jessica Brown Findlay both recently revealed that they too had been affected by them.

However in Lily's case, taking on the role of Ellen forced her to revisit her past and required to her to again lose weight - a lot of it. In one scene, the outline of her ribs protrudes sharply from her small waif-like frame - which for the most part of the film is covered in baggy jumpers and shirts. Although we already know that this is a film about anorexia, this early scene still manages to be shocking.

Thanks to her experience of having an eating disorder, Lily knew that it was important to lose the weight responsibly: 'I wanted to get back into that mindset in as healthy a way as possible. We did it with a nutritionist, I met with the UCLA head of an eating disorders clinic. I went to an anorexics anonymous group - and really surrounded myself with the facts, which I hadn't done as a teenager.'

Lily opened up in her autobiography 'Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me' about how her own eating disorder was triggered by her dad, Phil Collins' divorce from his third wife Orianne Cevey.

In her book, she writes an emotional letter to her dad, stating that he is 'forgiven' for 'not being the dad I expected.' She writes. 'I couldn’t handle the pain and confusion surrounding my dad’s divorce, and I was having a hard time balancing being a teenager with pursuing two different grown-up careers.’

Lily's mother understandably didn't want her to take on the role, but Lily felt it too important an opportunity to miss: 'This is a real issue, it's something that I went through and something I have a real connection to [sic.] it's such a taboo topic which I think people avoid because they feel uncomfortable talking about it, but the second that they do, anyone who is going through it feels less alone.'

Yet despite the serious subject matter, the film is darkly funny - Ellen is self-deprecating, quick-witted and smart, yet at the same time painfully oblivious to the damage she's doing to her body, insisting that she has it 'under control'. Like any normal 20-year-old, she's struggling to cope with her dysfunctional family (a family therapy session quickly descends into the blame game between her mother and step-mother, while her father is noticeably absent) and finding her place in the world. While Keanu Reeves plays her unconventional doctor, who bluntly tells Ellen that he doesn't want to talk to her about food because 'it's boring'.

For Lily herself, it has been ten years since her struggle with an eating disorder and taking on the role of Ellen made her realise that she's put those issues well and truly behind her: 'I used to have a fear of gaining weight - now my fear is not living in the moment.'

Lily Collins And Jamie Campbell Bower are young love's dream.

Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower have confirmed they are dating again with a couple of very sweet Instagram snaps.

The 26-year-old actress is clearly smitten once again and doesn't seem shy in letting the world know that she and her ex are back on.

Lily Collins is one Britain's coolest rising talents and Marie Claire's wonderful October cover star.

Daughter of Phil Collins (Tarzan's You'll Be In My Heart was composed for her) this deeply ambitious actress is as focused and articulate as she is down to earth. We caught up with her at London's Soho Hotel to talk all things love, life and Hollywood.

At 25, she's already done eight movies but, fortunately for her, has come under nowhere near as much pressure as her young actress counterparts, Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence.

'It's definitely not normal,' she says of the scrutiny levelled at her friends. 'There are preconceived ideas about them and the media wants to prove them wrong or find fault in them. They feel that, because they've known them since they were young, there is an ownership of their personal life.

'Jennifer and Kristen have done such a great job of navigating that; they're witty, strong, funny, cool, young women. It's really just nice to see that it's possible to go through something like that and still be genuinely awesome people.'

Though Lily hasn't had as much pressure as her showbiz chums, she has been romantically linked with both Taylor Lautner (he of Twilight fame) and Jamie Campbell Bower (her The Mortal Instruments co-star), but is currently, she tells us, 'focusing on herself right now. I'm trying to be the most vibrant version of myself. I'm working and really enjoying finding out who I want to be.'

It would of course be weird if we didn't mention Lily's mega-famous dad, Phil Collins. It's a showbiz connection that has, it seems, played no part in her rise to the top.

'When I first met with agents I was asked, "Well, what makes you so special? Everybody in LA is a cousin or a daughter of someone."'

She adds: 'At the beginning, that was the most interesting thing about me. Now I've done eight films, it's an afterthought. I get kids who say, "Oh, I love your movie, but my mum loves your dad." It's really nice to be able to share that with him, but it doesn't define who I am career-wise.'

The duo, who play lovers Clary and Jace in the upcoming film, were all smiles as they hit the red carpet in style together, looking every bit the happy, giggling couple – despite splitting up earlier this month.

Lily pulled off the tricky feat of baring her abs on the red carpet and managed to look both sophisticated and stylish in the process. The actress paired a sleeveless black crop top from Paper London with a swirling black maxi skirt from Halston Heritage and added statement accessories in gold, including a cuff watch from Movado and an oversized chain necklace from Pluma Italia.

She pulled hair into a backcombed low bun and finished off the look with a sexy smoky eye.

Lily's co-star Jamie worked his signature rock-'n-roll-ish, rogueish charm in a black suit teamed with a white button-down, silver-capped shoes, a silver nose ring and tousled bedhead hair.

The pair – whose on and off-screen chemistry is palpable, dating or not – recently opened up about their relationship, with Bower telling E! News: 'We're tight. Lily and I are very, very close. Very close. Always have been, always will be.'

Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell-Bower have split - just days after hinting at their romance in a new interview.

LILY COLLINS LEADS COMIC-CON LINE-UP

The couple, who were widely tipped as the next Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart met on the set of teenage fantasy flick, Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

But now it's thought they have 'quietly' called time on their relationship.

One source told US Weekly: 'They've been really good about doing the press tour together for their movie. They were able to stay friendly.'

This comes as Jamie Campbell Bower was spotted out and about with former Twilight co-star, Ashley Greene.

Their split comes after Lily Collins hinted at their romance in an interview about the flick.

'We took that chance and ...Whatever ... It is what it is. People are cast because they have chemistry,' she said.

'You're spending 24 hour days together and it's intense. You have that connection with each other and sometimes that translates to more.'

While Lily, whose famous father is rocker Phil Collins, also spoke of speculation surrounding their relationship.

'I entered into this business knowing your private life can't always remain private. I don't feel the need to profess anything publicly or confirm something that in a normal situation you wouldn't have to speak out about,' she said.

'If I'm out and I'm photographed with someone, then that is what it is. We took that chance and… whatever. It is what it is.'

Lily Collins previously dated Twilight heartthrob and Abduction co-star Taylor Lautner, while Jamie Campbell Bower was engaged to Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright.

Reps for the pair have yet to comment.

The pretty actress looked all grown-up in a fishtail gown at the screening in Paris

She may be only 23-years-old, but Lily Collins looked all grown-up in a dramatic gown as she hit the premiere of her new film, Mirror Mirror, in Paris.

The actress opted for a floral print jacquard dress with a boned bodice from Zac Posen’s pre-autumn/winter 2012 collection for her latest look on the movie’s promotional tour. The strapless number also featured a fishtail that created a stunning silhouette.

With such a dramatic looking dress, Lily needed little in the way of accessories, so simply wore it with elegant earrings, her long brunette locks worn in natural tousled waves, and shimmering eyeshadow and a flash of classic red lipstick.

Lovely Lily turned princess at the premiere, in a balloon skirted black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, while Julia Roberts was super-smart in a navy suit and shocking pink shirt.

Also in attendance was Lily's musician dad Phil Collins, who arrived to support his daughter, but stayed out of the spotlight during the evening.

Earlier this month, the Lily dismissed rumours of a falling out with rival Snow White actress Kristen Stewart, revealing she and Kristen have 'laughed off' talk of a feud.

'It’s funny, I mean, they are so different, they couldn’t be more different,' Lily, who previously dated Kristen's Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner, told Access Hollywood of the films.

'Kristen and I have laughed about the fact that we’re apparently ‘rivals.’ And it’s just funny to us.'

So no hard feelings, then?

'I’m excited for her and that version is so utterly different than ours,' she added. 'I think that people are going to get different things out of each one.'

The pair were spotted on a dinner date in West Hollywood

We spy a hot new couple! Lily Collins and Zac Efron have been spotted spending Saturday night on a secret dinner date in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old British actress was caught sneaking out of the back door of a steakhouse in West Hollywood with High School Musical hearthrob Zac Efron.

As the pair left the restaurant and made their way to their chauffeured SUV, sources say Zac appeared surprised by the waiting paps but Phil Collins daughter Lily took the attention in her stride.

'Zac literally ran to the car and jumped in, leaving Lily behind," an eyewitness told X17 Online. 'But Lily kept her cool and took her time. She wasn't as worried about not being seen by us. She took her time. She probably didn't want to trip in her heels.'

If rumours the pair have split are true, Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins set their differences aside last night, as they braved torrential rain to hit the red carpet at the premiere of new flick Abduction.

Stepping out at the IMAX cinema in Waterloo for the movie’s European debut, Lily channelled her inner rock chick in a slick Versace dress, while Taylor looked seriously dapper in a smart black suit.

The pair struck a pose for photos, before signing autographs for fans, who turned out in droves despite the wet weather.

And although reportedly ex-couple looked slightly awkward to begin with, the tension soon disappeared, as they giggled and whispered to each other, oblivious to onlookers.

Rumour has it the pair - who hooked up on the set of the movie - went their separate ways earlier this month, just weeks before the premiere of the upcoming action flick in LA. 

And according to sources, it was Taylor who called time on the whirlwind romance.

‘It was a clean break that Taylor initiated,' an insider told American Us Magazine.

‘At the Abduction party, it was awkward. They barely said a word to one another.’

Rumour has it Hollywood's hottest new couple went their separate ways last week

One of Hollywood’s hottest young couples - and the stars of new movie Abduction - Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins have split, according to reports.

It’s thought the pair went their separate ways earlier this month, just weeks before the premiere of the upcoming action flick in LA.

And according to sources, it was Taylor who called time on the whirlwind romance.

‘It was a clean break that Taylor initiated,' an insider told American Us Magazine. 

‘At the Abduction party, it was awkward. They barely said a word to one another.’

Despite never confirming their romance, it’s thought lovely Mr Lautner had even met Lily’s dad, Genesis rocker Phil Collins, with their Abduction co-star Denzel Whitaker spilling the beans on their romance.

'It's kind of like that teenage love in high school,’ he revealed earlier this year. ‘It was kind of like, 'Let's go on a date'... I think the chemistry's naturally going to show. It was off set so it definitely came on set.'

And also Lily promised steamy moments aplenty in the soon to be released film, revealing we’re set to see a whole different side of her now ex-beau.

‘[He is] very Jason Bourne-esque, of course with his own twist on it,’ Lily gushed of Taylor’s character to MTV. ‘It's a complete departure from Jacob.

Mr Lautner’s new lady and his best vampire pal are both starring in Snow White remakes

Poor old Taylor Lautner. It must have been rather awkward when the teen Twilight star was asked to compare gorgeous girlfriend Lily Collins to his best vampire pal Kristen Stewart.

The reason? They’re both taking on leading roles in different remakes of classic fairy tale Snow White, set to hit screens next year.

Luckily the handsome muscle man managed to dodge the question, answering – you guessed it – that they’ll both me great.

‘It's tough,’ Taylor told reporters at Sunday’s MTV VMAs. ‘I mean, my excuse is they're so different. I can root for them both.

‘Kristen's going to be cool and edgy and dark,’ he said of his Twilight sweetheart. ‘It's gonna be something new for her, and I think that's really exciting.’

Not missing a trick, he hastily added: 'Lily's gonna be great too, And a completely different feel.'

Lovely Mr Lautner, who stars in a sizzling cover shoot for VMan this month – also opened up on new flick Abduction, revealing there are certainly a few steamy scenes in store.

‘I call it an action-drama-thriller-romance, I mean it’s got everything in it,’ he said, adding that there's an ‘intense, intense steamy scene’ between him and on and off screen love Lily Collins.

Social Network star Armie Hamer is set to take on the role of the Prince in the flick, while reports suggest Julia Roberts will play as the queen.

Lily’s upcoming flick is just the latest in a long line of fairytale remakes set to hit screens.

Kristen Stewart is currently hard at work on a Universal remake: Snow White and the Huntsman, while Emma Watson had reportedly landed the lead in Beauty and the Beast.

Up and coming actress Lily Collins has promised steamy moments aplenty in soon to be released action movie abduction, revealing we’re set to see a whole different side of her co-star (and rumoured beau) Taylor Lautner.

The actress, daughter of Phil Collins and one half of Hollywood’s hottest new couple praised muscly Twilight star Taylor in a new interview, opening up on scenes that are set to 'completely shock his fans'.

‘[He is] very Jason Bourne-esque, of course with his own twist on it,’ Lily revealed of Taylor’s character to MTV.

‘It's a complete departure from Jacob. Obviously I'm in the movie so I'm biased, but I think it's going to completely shock his fans, and people that necessarily don't know him very well as Jacob that aren't Twilight fans. I think he brings an aspect people haven't seen yet and [it's] very, very exciting.’

Lily also threw in a sneaky peek at the film, whizzing through the action thriller’s most exciting scenes.

‘We've got some awkward past that is alluded to, and we tend to avoid each other in high school,’ she explained.

‘There's always been something [there] but we tend to avoid each other. We're thrown together for a school project and because I'm associated with him through that project, I then have to go on the run with him when everything starts to happen.’

Opening up on the film’s steamiest scenes, Lily was happy to speak out about her on-screen romance the Twilight heartthrob, but kept quiet about rumours of a relationship in real life.

‘There is romance, but it's also [we're] partners-in-crime, we're going through everything together,’ she said.

‘It’s not about him taking his shirt off, this movie. There’s a lot more that I think makes up for that. That’s not to say that there’s not some steamy moments.’

We. Can't. Wait.

It looks like things are hotting up between Twilight’s Taylor Lautner and his new lady Lily Collins. The teen beauty has been spied paying regular visits to the Breaking Dawn set, where lovely Mr Lautner's hard at work shooting the film’s final scenes.

The pair were even spotted snuggling up on a super-secret date, as Taylor enjoyed an evening off.

Onlookers revealed the muscly Twilight star was 'really protective' of his new love-interest when they were besieged by fans during date night, adding the pair were 'definitely together'.

‘They went into Subway around 10:00 am and Taylor didn’t buy anything for himself,’ a source revealed, of Taylor and Lily’s trip into Squamish, the town closest to the Breaking Dawn set.

‘He bought Lily a chicken salad while about 15 teen fans stood by asking him for autographs. He told the fans to wait until they ordered and then Taylor posed for pictures and signed autographs.

'You could definitely tell they were dating … they were standing really close,' the source added.
