Last night saw the 2025 Grammy Awards, with A-listers descending from far and wide on LA's Crypto.com arena to celebrate the past year in music. And from the moving tribute to Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires, to Beyoncé's historic album win for 'Cowboy Carter', the 67th annual awards will go down as historic.

The most talked-about moment of the evening however, came from Lady Gaga, with the 38-year-old singer delivering a powerful acceptance speech on-stage.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance with their song, 'Die With A Smile'. And after paying tribute to her music partner, Gaga delivered a powerful message of support to the trans community.

"It’s such an honor to sing for all of you," Gaga told the audience, before announcing: "I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible. Trans people deserve love. The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you."

While Lady Gaga did not comment further, her words come amid a series of executive orders signed by President Donald Trump, threatening the rights of trans people. This includes an executive order that establishes "the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female."

Lady Gaga has spoken out previously since Trump's re-election, vowing to protect marginalised communities.

"I have so much compassion and love for so many people who are afraid today," Lady Gaga told ELLE in the days after Trump's 2024 win. "I want to acknowledge that I’m a very blessed person, and I feel grateful for so much in my life every day. I know for a lot of people, this election was devastating for their existence, so community is going to be the number one thing."

She continued: "I am one of many people who support the [LGBTQ+] communities. And we’re not going down without a fight. We will stick together. It’s going to be hard, but I’m up for it. We’re up for it. And I just want everyone to know how deeply they’re loved and not invisible."

Lady Gaga has responded to pregnancy speculation since pictures of her at her sister's wedding went viral over the weekend. The star was Maid of Honour for her younger sister, Natali Germanotta, at her picturesque wedding in Maine, US, and in some of the photos Gaga can be seen wearing a beautiful flowing peach-nude gown as she stands beside the bride. But it was the additional photos of Gaga wearing a figure-hugging black dress that immediately went viral and sparked speculation that she is expecting with her partner of four years, Michael Polansky. The pictures also had fans convinced that Lady Gaga is engaged, as eagle-eyed netizens spotted a ring on her wedding finger.

Gaga has spoken about her desire to keep her personal life private, and while she has reportedly been dating Polansky since late 2020, in an open letter last year she said that it's important for her to draw boundaries with what she shares with the public, explaining: "I can say for the first time in many years that my love of making art, music, fashion, and supporting community has never been more fulfilling."

Now, in response to the pregnancy speculation which has swept social media over the last few days, Gaga has posted a video on TikTok to shut down the rumours. Quoting one of Taylor Swift's songs from her recent album The Tortured Poets Department, she mocked the commentary by writing: "Not pregnant – just down bad cryin' at the gym."

Wearing a black t-shirt and sitting in hair and make-up, she overlaid the video with audio which says: "I don't have to find an aesthetic, I am an aesthetic. I mean, I'm sure there's somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me."

Gaga also redirected the conversation from pregnancy rumours to encouraging her followers to register to vote as the US prepares for the presidential elections on Tuesday 5th November. She wrote: "Register to vote at www.headcount.org."

Her TikTok followers were quick to comment, with one person writing: "The Taylor reference I'm OBSESSED."

Another added: "My mother was QUICK with a response lol."

So there you have it.

The long weekend is upon us, and while many Brits will likely be celebrating with lie-ins and weather-dependent trips to the seaside, tomorrow also marks a very special day in the 2024 calendar. It is, of course, the release of Beyoncé's country album, act ii - also being referred to as Cowboy Carter. 

With just hours to go until we can finally hear it, the track list for her eighth solo studio album has been shared online. Posting an illustration on Instagram which lists song titles as well as fellow artists, it seems we can expect a cover of Jolene, as well as a collaboration with Willie Nelson. But has she got another collab up her sleeve?

Beyoncé recently told her fans on social media: "I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect." The new album details have since fuelled speculation that Bey and Lady Gaga - who last worked together 14 years ago - could be reuniting for the sequel of Telephone. Iconic. 

So, where have these rumours come from? The Beyhive noted that on the 11th February, Beyoncé released the first two tracks from act ii (Texas Hold 'Em and 16 Carriages). And what happens in the music video for Telephone? Gaga gets shipped off to jail on... the 11th February. Coincidence? Possibly. 

But there's more. Beyoncé's album announcement included a teaser video that sees her speeding off through the desert while a bunch of men stare open-mouthed at a poster of her. For those familiar with the end of the Telephone music video, Bey and Gaga are seen zooming off through the desert in cowboy hats, with a caption that reads: "To be continued...". 

Ahem.

And either Gaga is playing along with the internet's guessing game, or social media sleuths are actually on to something. This week she posted a photo on Instagram which included the Telephone cover art, and Bey's stylist Vance Gamble also posted a throwback of Gaga's infamous cigarette glasses.

Fans are keen to believe that it all means something, with one person writing on X, formerly Twitter: "Me sending Telephone part 2 theories to everyone in my contacts."

Beyoncé's foray into country music has already caused a stir, with Dolly Parton herself even coming to the star's defence following an onslaught of criticism. The irony, of course, is that Beyoncé was inspired to make act ii in response to the backlash she faced following her performance at the Country Music Awards in 2016. She joined the Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) for a rendition of her song Daddy Lessons, and instantly faced a barrage of racist abuse.  

She wrote on Instagram: "This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed… and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history."

She continued: "The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work."

Counting down the hours? Same.

The 2024 Grammy Awards are officially here, with the 66th annual ceremony taking place this weekend, celebrating the past year in music. 

Yes, from the night's predicted big winners, to some star-studded performances (Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus and Billie Eilish to name a few), the Grammy Awards are all anyone can talk about. 

It was a resurfaced anecdote that got the world talking about the Grammys this morning, with the story behind Jennifer Lopez's 2000 Grammys dress - a look that actually prompted the invention of Google Image search, emerging as the most memorable of all time.

Yes, really, Jennifer Lopez’s red carpet look (the green sheer Versace scarf dress with the belly button plunging neckline) quite literally broke the internet, and is actually responsible for the existence of Google image search.

Let’s not forget, this was a whopping 24 years ago, long before the days of Lady Gaga’s meat dress or Rose McGowan’s topless chainmail outfit. At this point, the most avant-garde red carpet looks to happen were when Justin and Britney wore quadruple denim or when Christina Aguilera showed her midriff.

Needless to say, everyone was talking about J-Lo’s revealing green dress and wanted to see the pictures for themselves.

"At the time, it was the most popular search query we had ever seen, but we had no surefire way of getting users exactly what they wanted: J-Lo wearing that dress", explained Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google. For that reason, he explained "Google image search was born."

When asked about her role in Google image search’s existence by E! News, J-Lo replied, "I heard that, who knew?!", before joking about not being compensated. "I'm a little bit upset about it. I'm sure Versace's in on it as well."

When asked what she would have liked to have got from it, Jennifer Lopez replied light-heartedly, "Just a small part of it…a truck full of money."

The 2024 Grammys are set to take place on Sunday 4 February.

No colour universally commands attention like red. It is one of the first colours used in art in the prehistoric era, is the colour associate with love and became the emblem of royalty during the middle ages. 

Red can be seen from the longest distance and is the least scattered by air, triggering the brain more hence its use in traffic lights and warning and stop signs.

It is the colour of a red carpet and of some of the most iconic dresses of all time, both on and off screen. Julia Roberts at the opera in Pretty Woman. Cher in Clueless ("You don't understand! It's an Alaia!"). Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge.

Cindy Crawford in a red Versace dress at the 1991 Oscars. Britney Spears' red latex jumpsuit in her Oops! I Did It Again video. Kylie Jenner's Haider Ackerman dress at the 2023 Met Gala. Meghan Markle wearing a bright Safiyaa gown during one of her last appearances as a working royal. And let us not forget Lady Gaga in THAT meat dress. 

So it's no surprise that it made a hot comeback on virtually every catwalk during Fashion Month earlier this year for the showing of the autumn/winter 23 collections.

From David Koma having models walk on a vibrant red carpet to Nensi Dojaka casting her show space in crimson light, red was undoubtedly the colour of the season. 

Models wore the fiery shade head-to-toe. At Di Petsa and Nensi Dojaka it was all about sheer dresses with cut-out details. At Prada, Ferragamo and Stella McCartney, red skirt suits took centre stage. Alexander McQueen, and Bottega Veneta showcased show-stopping maxi gowns with power shoulders, while at Bora Aksu, Christopher Kane and David Koma, the fiery hue toughened up frills, lace and floral cut outs.

In case you aren't convinced, according to Tagwalk, Autumn/Winter 2023 saw a 33% increase in looks featuring the colour compared to Autumn/Winter 2022. 

In conclusion, red really is the only colour you need to wear this season, and here's my edit of the best red fashion trend items to buy now. 

The BAFTAs 2022 red carpet was a glorious one, after being almost non existent the past couple of years for obvious reasons.

Celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Rebel Wilson and Emma Watson descended on the Royal Albert Hall in London to celebrate the finest talent in film.

They dressed up to the nines in designer gowns by the likes of Saint Laurent, Dior and Valentino, and while it may not have been obvious at first glance, they seemed to be following a specific dress code.

I'm not referring to last year's sustainability dress code, where guests were asked to wear sustainable gowns, or hire or rewear one they already own.

No, this year's red carpet was more sombre than usual, with reports saying A-listers were asked to tone things down due to the war in Ukraine.

Gaga, Emma Watson, Daisy Ridley and Millie Bobby Brown were just a few actors and singers who wore all black on the red carpet, presumably as a mark of respect.

Others such as Millie Mackintosh wore ribbons in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: 'Several senior showbiz agents have advised stars to dress respectably, amid fears attention-grabbing dresses and suits would appear distasteful in light of the Ukraine conflict. The last thing they want is something like Lady Gaga's infamous meat dress or anything too controversial.'

Of course, this didn't stop others from wearing pops of colours - this is a film red carpet after all. Daisy Ridley wore a blue sequin dress, while Simone Ashley looked amazing in a neon pink Valentino suit, and West Side Story star Ariana DeBose stunned in a yellow gown.

Just what should one wear to meet the Queen? It’s a sartorial dilemma that many an A-lister has faced over the years, as they've collected their various medals and ribbons for services to the arts. Some go super-conservative, some treat it like a red carpet soiree, and some use it as the chance of a lifetime to try to make a, ahem, lasting impression on her majesty. We’re looking at you, Lady Gaga... 

Angelina Jolie 

Let’s start with one of the best, shall we? Angelina Jolie received an Honorary Damehood from the Queen back in October 2014 and looked pitch-perfect in her putty coloured Ralph and Russo couture suit.

Four celebrity hair stylists explain how they got the look at the Oscars 2016…

Ahh the Oscars. Surely the world’s greatest example of a good hair day, right? And now, as this year’s ‘dos were bigger, better and more perfectly preened than ever, the four hair stylists behind Lady Gaga, Brie Larson, Kerry Washington and Rachel McAdams’ award-worthy hairstyles are telling us all how they got the look…

Lady Gaga ‘We wanted a timeless and elegant look for her first Oscars,’ celebrity hairstylist Frederic Aspiras tells us of the curls he whipped up for Ms Gaga. ‘I created perfectly structured, voluminous curls to frame her face.’

So how did he do it? ‘To start, I washed the hair and rinsed thoroughly. I then blow dried the hair using my ghd air hairdryer and a boar bristle round brush, making the hair voluminous and smooth. I then sprayed the hair with a heat protectant spray before we started styling.’

Next there were not one, but two curling tongs involved. ‘I used ghd curve classic curl tong at the front of the hairline and ghd curve soft curl tong from the crown down to the nape. After curling each piece, I held the curl in my hand and sprayed it with a curl hold spray, then pinned the curl in place. Once all of the hair was pin curled, she sat under a dryer hood for 15 minutes, then let the hair cool for another 5 minutes. Finally, we removed all pins and brushed out the hair with a Mason Pearson Brush. We then sculpted the hair with a wide tooth comb. Once the hair looked perfect, we finished with hairspray to hold the look in place.’

Brie Larson ‘Brie wore a gorgeous, royal blue, custom Gucci dress and I wanted her hair to have a celestial but fresh look to complement the dress,’ hairstylist Mara Roszak says of the mood. ‘We did a modern half-up, half-down style.’

So how did she do it? ‘Mara started by applying L’Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Transforming Oil-in-Cream to Brie’s damp hair,’ her team mates explain. ‘She then parted the hair in the centre and then blow dried with a round brush. Once dry, she used a ghd platinum styler to touch up the hair and help with any frizz or flyaways while keeping it healthy and shiny, especially with the humid weather. She then sprayed L’Oreal Paris Elnett Hairspray all over the hair. Then, using a ghd curve Classic Curl Iron, she created soft, loose waves throughout. Once done waving, she brushed the hair out with a boar bristle brush and applied L’Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Lustrous Oil Serum on the middle and ends of hair for extra shine. Next, she took the front pieces of hair by the hair line on both sides and twisted them, bringing them to the back of hair. She pinned in place and then put a piece of fabric that matched Brie’s belt on top of the pins, wrapping the extra hair that was hanging around the fabric. Lastly, she sprayed L’Oreal Paris Elnett Hairspray all over the hair for hold and L’Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Nutri-Gloss High Shine Glossing Mist for extra shine.’

Kerry Washington ‘I wanted to create a bold look that matched Kerry’s black and white leather dress,’ explains celebrity hair stylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew. ‘We kept the hair edgy and youthful.’

So how did she do it? ‘I shampooed the hair with Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo to remove build up, then used Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask to keep the hair looking shiny and healthy. I blew out the hair with my ghd air hairdryer and a paddle brush, adding some volume at the roots. Once the hair was completely dry, I used the ghd platinum styler to make the hair look sleek and shiny. I really love this flat iron, because it heats to the optimal 365 degrees so I know I’m not damaging the hair. Healthy hair is so important to Kerry. To style, I used ghd curve Soft Curl Tong and curled some pieces counter clockwise and some clockwise so the hair didn’t all fall in one place. I clipped TSD Hair Extensions to the center of the head and with a fine tooth comb, teased the root just a bit to give some added drama. I finished by taking the hair and securing a ponytail in place with a leather Versace band.’

Rachel McAdams ‘When I saw the August Getty gown Rachel was going to wear to the Oscars, I immediately knew that her hair should be up,’ says Mark Townsend, stylist with ghd, North America. ‘We both agreed on a clean and sleek look to complement the gorgeous dress.’

So how did he do it? ‘I started by applying Dove Regenerative Nourishment Serum-in-Oil to her damp hair to nourish strands and seal the cuticle. I then blew her out straight with my Spornette mixed bristle round brush using my trusty ghd air hair dryer. Once the hair was fully dry, I went in with my ghd platinum styler and straightened her tresses section by section. Next, I sectioned her hair into a deep side part, and coated my hands with John Masters Organics Rosemary and Peppermint Detangler. I used the detangler to give her hair a shiny, almost wet look, and pulled it in the back to create a textured knot. Using French hair pins to secure the knot, I created a sleek yet imperfect shape. I finished the look by spraying Dove Style+Care Strength And Shine Extra Hold hairspray all over to set the look and keep any flyaways down. The end result is classic, modern, and above all, gorgeous.’

The Underwear Struggles Are Real… Holy tit tape. Kim Kardashian posted this slightly incredible throwback photo last night, showing just how much, ahem, support is needed to hold those assets into place. ‘Today on my app see the red carpet cleavage tape trick I've been doing for years!’ she confirms. Every celebrity in Hollywood attended the Saint Laurent fashion show last night as designer Hedi Slimane was the first designer to present his vision for autumn, officially kicking off fashion month.

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Alexa Chung, Jessica Alba, Courtney Love, Dakota Fanning and many, many more A-listers rocked up (literally) for the occasion, with most wearing pieces from the current Saint Laurent collection. See all the pictures in the gallery above.

Here’s what you need to know…

1. The Collection Was A Rockstar’s Dream Wardrobe As ever, Hedi Slimane took his inspiration from California’s alt rock music scene – a little bit grunge and a little bit Seventies, with a whole lot of skinny neck ties, leather jackets and wide suede belts. Models were achingly cool wearing Slimane’s signature attitude, their dishevelled style more glammed-up than usual with glitter-blitzed eyelids completing the beauty look. The show gives us a taster of what to expect from the brand’s Paris Fashion Week show on 7th March and was a mix of the men’s AW16 and women’s pre-AW16 collections.

2. The Front Row Raised The Bar For Fashion Month Demi Moore! Miranda Kerr! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley! The A-listers just kept on coming on the red carpet at LA’s Palladium theatre, forming the starriest front row we think we’ve ever seen. Lady Gaga mingled with Sylvester Stallone, Joan Jett met Justin Bieber… the potential collaborations spawned on the night are endlessly entertaining.

3. Saint Laurent Face Dylan Lee Was There Pamela Anderson’s son and designer Hedi Slimane’s latest Cali rock muse, Dylan Lee, attended with his mum and older brother, Blue Steel Brandon. Now that’s what we call a family portrait.

4. After the show, It Was The After Party… There were performances from everyone from Joan Jett to Beck, officially confirming that Hedi Slimane throws the coolest parties in the business. How can he possibly top this for Paris Fashion Week? We can't wait to find out...

If you were nominated for one of the most famous prizes in the world, how exactly do you think you would react? As this year’s Oscar nominations were announced yesterday, the chosen ones (from Leonardo DiCaprio to Jennifer Lawrence) have been expressing their joy in all kinds of ways.

These are the best reactions and statements from the stars so far. ‘Holy shit!’ indeed, Brie Larson…

Leonardo DiCaprio, up for Best Actor in The Revenant takes a humble approach, thanking the cast and crew who worked with him; ‘Making The Revenant was one of the most rewarding and collaborative experiences of my life,’ he says in a statement. ‘None of this would have been possible without Alejandro's talent, vision and determination. Our dedicated crew also deserves to share in this moment. Together, they have created a truly unique cinematic experience.’ Very nice Leo.

Lady Gaga, whose song 'Til It Happens to You’ is nominated for Best Original Song, uses her powers for good; ‘This nomination lends a voice to so many victims and their families around the world,’ she writes on Instagram. ‘Thank you to The Academy for recognising the movement of people who have come together around ‘The Hunting Ground’ and ‘Til It Happens To You’ in the name of sexual assault. Diane Warren and I are simply honoured to represent the voices of so many survivors.’

Jennifer Lawrence, up for Best Actress for Joy, says she’s super grateful; ‘I am beyond grateful and humbled by this nomination. I feel incredibly honoured to be recognised among the other amazing women in this category. Joy is an incredibly inspiring story about an ordinary woman who does extraordinary things. For me, working with David O. Russell has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I share this nomination with him as well as our incredible supporting cast. I could not be more proud to be a part of this film and thankful to the producers and Fox for their unyielding support.’

Saoirse Ronan, nominated for Best Actress for Brooklyn, admits to some tears; ‘I was asleep and my mom ran in and she was crying, and so it was either good news or bad news, and it was great news,’ she told Good Morning America. ‘I'm going to start crying now, but to get Best Actress and to get Best Picture means the absolute world to us.’

And then Brie Larson, nominated for Best Actress for Room, loses it completely, and says what all the other nominees were really thinking; ‘I thought, Holy shit! It's that mixed with a total flat line,’ she says in an interview with E! News. ‘I didn't realize how strong my reaction would be. My whole body was shaking. I started crying. It really was when they gave [Lenny Abrahamson] a best director nomination that I really lost it. He's so deserving of it. So well deserved and so exciting to see.’

And then later in an interview with Good Morning America… ‘I'm shaking right now. I'm really confused. It's the highest form of flattery in my field. The nominations mean so much because it comes from your peers, it comes from fellow actors. I was home-schooled and I never really felt like I was part of any group. To be included with people that I respected so much since I was a kid is just absolutely incredible.’

2015 has been a beautiful, beautiful year for our favourite celebrities, with more new hair and makeup trends to try than ever before.

From The Hun to strobing, the year's crazes arrived thick and fast and the best celebrity beauty moments came from those with the courage to experiment.

From Kendall Jenner to Lupita Nyong'o, the stars dared to be different, working new makeup colours and hair lengths aplenty. Even the Duchess of Cambridge upgraded her trusty blowdry with new bangs.

Celebrity hair stylist George Northwood helped both Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Alexa Chung to chop and change their hair, while Kylie Jenner worked so many different dye jobs that we've dedicated an entire 'Kylie Jenner Hair' gallery to her 2015 evolution.

So these are the star beauty looks we loved, pressed 'Like' for, and totally wanted to be our own in 2015.

First up, we hark back to the MET Ball in May (feels like ages ago in Insta years doesn't it?) where Beyoncé arrived on the red carpet wearing this hyper-high ponytail, and little else. The Hollywood fable goes that Queen Bey left the house with her hair in ringlets, then freaked out en route to the gala and asked her hairstylist Neal Farinah to whip up something new on the way. The result, we think, is the kind of statement pony that only Sasha Fierce herself could pull off.

A high ponytail will lift all of your features upwards.

Duchess Kate caused an even bigger media stir than usual in September, when she returned to her royal duties after giving birth to Princess Charlotte and debuted a perfectly fluffy new fringe.

Kim Kardashian had a blonde moment at Paris Fashion Week in March, covering her slicked back locks with a bobble hat until she was ready to unveil them on the Givenchy front row. Sadly, the pure platinum was gone within a week, but the Insta reaction was so strong that we had to include it in our top 20.

Adele

Why Hello, beautiful. Adele is back and so is her perfect graphic black liner - a late entry to this year's beauty round-up, but one that's causing a storm of copycats on Instagram. Trying this look at home yourself? May the winged eyeliner gods be forever in your favour...

Kendall Jenner

Keeping up with Kendall's beauty regime has been extra hard this year. She's been a style chameleon on the catwalk, has experimented with a fringe on the red carpet and was even declared queen of the classic pout when she launched her own lipstick line for Estee Lauder in June. We have such a beauty crush. 

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

When hair stylist George Northwood lopped Rosie's long locks off back in February, he declared her choppy new cut to be 'the supermodel bob'. We duly printed out the pictures and ran to our nearest salon, of course.

Jennifer Lopez

Ahh the hun. The lazy girl's favourite new beauty trend of the year (honestly it takes 6 minutes to throw together) was started by none other than Jennifer Lopez, appearing in the launch pictures for a new season of American Idol back in September. As ever, J Lo, we thank you for all you do for us...

Lupita Nyong'o

After taking the red carpet circuit by storm last year, Lupita continued to take brilliant beauty risks in 2015, playing with everything from coloured lips to metallic eyeshadows. It was hard to pick a winner from our shortlist of favourites, but we're declaring Lupita's berry lip colour and popping powder shadow at the Golden Globe Awards in January to be the actress's purple reign.

Lady Gaga

Stop the beauty press. Lady Gaga went (almost) all demure on us this year, nodding to classic screen sirens with her stunning blonde curls and scarlet pouts. That said, she still teamed her make-under with everything from sequin ballgowns to haute rubber gloves - she is Gaga after all. We love her look from the National Arts Awards back in October.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner has worked more beauty looks than any other star this year, more than earning her place in our top 20 round-up. From mint to platinum, she's tried a different dye job or cut every other week confirming her status as queen of the beauty transformation.

Jillian Hervey of LionBabe

Holy hair. Another new entry on our beauty radar this year was Jillian Hervey, one half of pop duo LionBabe. Guess what we love about her look? She throws that mane around on stage like nobody's watching (we love this picture from her New York concert in July) and she's a big fan of retro eye make up, too.

Keira Knightley

And this year's award for best use of hair accessories goes to... Jewel-encrusted head pieces became Kiera's go-to on the red carpet circuit back in February, trialing everything from crystal Chanel clips to this Valentino band at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Lily Rose Depp

With the look of a classic French IT girl, 16 year-old Lily Rose Depp the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis) is following in her mother's modeling footsteps, this year being named as the new face of Chanel. Say hello to your future beauty icon.

Rita Ora

Rita's gone all glam and glossy on us this year, looking every bit the part in her new job on the X Factor judging panel. But don't worry, she's not lost her edge. We loved this messy plait up-do and dark eye combo at the British Fashion Awards in November.

Sienna Miller

Sienna Miller debuted a copper bob at London Fashion Week back in September, putting rose-tinted locks on the beauty radar and, as always, giving fresh inspiration to the fash pack on the front row.

You could never say that Rih Rih doesn't throw everything she's got at her beauty regime - we even declared her to be our lipstick queen after she completed her quest to work every shade of the rainbow in the summer. Most of all though, we loved her 'more is more' look at August's Barbados Carnival.

Alexa Chung

Alexa turned to George Northwood back in September to chop a couple more inches off of her soft tousled bob. Debuting her new look on the front row at London Fashion Week she inspired even more fans to aim higher - just below the ears to be precise.

This year's prize for best holiday skin? It's got to go to Jennifer on her first appearance after her Bora Bora honeymoon with Justin Theroux back in August. It really was all about that glow.

As Katniss Everdeen returned to the big screen, our real life heroine Jennifer Lawrence planned her own red carpet beauty takeover. After getting her hair cut short at the end of the summer, she's been experimenting with all sorts of hard and soft beauty contrasts, looking fierce on the Hunger Games world tour. 

Felicity Jones

As we all went crazy for The Theory Of Everything back in January, actress Felicity Jones emerged as a key beauty muse for the year. From the Oscars to the Critics' Choice Movie Awards (left) she worked perfect porcelain skin and soft lip colours throughout the marathon of ceremonies, making her our new favourite red carpet rose.

The bit where John Legend and Common made some beautiful men cry...

The sight of Chris Pine weeping in reaction to John Legend and Common's performance of Glory was possibly the cutest thing we've ever seen. Their rousing duet about the civil rights movement was deeply moving and saw not just Chris Pine reduced to tears but also David Oyelowo. John Legend and Common went on to win the Oscar for the song from Selma, which chronicles Martin Luther King's campaign to secure equal voting rights through a march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965.

The bit where Patricia Arquette asked for one simple thing...

Equal pay for equal work. That's the feminist message the star pushed during her acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress. She said: 'To every woman who gave birth, to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights. It’s time to have wage equality once and for all. And equal rights for women in the United States of America.' It was so good, it made Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez do this...

The bit where we were confused...

Keira Knightley and Lady Gaga? Jennifer Aniston and Emma Stone? These showbiz BFFs are blowing our minds even more than the time we discovered Brad Pitt used to date Sinitta. And while we're vaguely on the subject of Lady Gaga, can we take a second to talk about her gloves... Crimson marigolds with an Alaia gown? Odd, but in the grand scheme of all things Gaga, not that odd.

The bit where Gwyneth Paltrow had a Carrie Bradshaw moment...

Gwynnie channelled her inner Carrie in a custom-made pale pink gown by Ralph & Russo Couture. Complete with an oversized flower rosette. Just fabulous.

When interviewed on the red carpet, Oscar-nominated Reese took the opportunity to implore reporters to ask women better, more insightful, questions. Just as they would men. 'This is a movement to say we're more than just our dresses,' she told presenter Robin Roberts. 'There are 44 nominees this year that are women and we are so happy to be here and talk about the work that we've done. It's hard being a woman in Hollywood, or any industry.'

One Direction, Adele and Miley Cyrus are sitting pretty at the top of Forbes magazine's 30 Under 30 music list.

The annual poll, which determines which stars are really raking in the most money before their thirties, is brimming with the usual suspects.

Harry Styles' mob of British heartthrobs earned around $42 million in the past twelve months, with their new calendar becoming the best-selling celebrity calendar of all time on Amazon.

Rihanna, who totalled $43 million earnings thanks to her Diamonds tour and Taylor Swift, who brought in an incredible $55 million in 2013, also topped the list.

Bruno Mars has surprised some by his high ranking, although it's no real surprise when we tally the minutes spent humming Treasure last year. The 28-year-old musician will also become the first performer in a decade to play the Super Bowl halftime show before he turns 30.

Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Drake are among the other stars to be recognised by the impressive list, alongside Justin Bieber, whose 2013 tour has earned him a regular spot in the global news.

No real surprises, but it's nice to know the celebrity millionaires' club is just as we left it in 2013.

Victoria and David Beckham enjoy a special date night with their family, and a surprising special guest...

Victoria and David Beckham’s date night turned into a family affair this weekend, as they took their brood to Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola.

Spotted enjoying the likes of Jessie J, Dizzee Rascal and Lawson from a private box at London’s O2 Arena, it seems the Beckhams were gearing up for a mammoth sing-along with one act in particular.

‘Victoria knows all the words to Lady Gaga’s Do What U Want,’ tweeted one captivated onlooker, as the British designer cheered on her favourite popstar from the VIP seats.

And she’s not the only one, as little Harper is said to be an equally big fan of the green-haired songstress.

‘Victoria and David, along with Harper, were taken to meet Lady Gaga backstage, and proudly told her that their daughter is the biggest fan,’ a source told the MailOnline.

Adding: ‘They also said that even though she’s only two years old, she already sings Gaga songs!’

Sharing her fangirl moment with Twitter, Victoria later posted a signed chocolate bar she’d received from Gaga.

‘Met @ladygaga last night, so sweet to the boys and Harper. What a show, she is AMAZING!’ she wrote online.

David and Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn, is also said to have watched his favourite band, Lawson, from the side of the stage, before meeting the group backstage.

Lady Gaga has been unveiled as the brand new face of Italian fashion brand Versace

Versace has named Lady Gaga as the official face of its SS14 campaign.

After weeks of speculation that the eccentric US singer might be joining forces with the luxury Italian fashion brand, the label finally unveiled its brand new celebrity muse on Twitter over the weekend.

'#Versace proudly confirms @LadyGaga as the face of SS14 campaign shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott #VersaceLovesGaga', Versace posted.

Versace then shared the first campaign image of the Applause singer in her new role, in which Gaga bears a striking resemblance to close friend and Vice President of the brand, Donatella Versace.

Donning a slinky, figure-hugging lilac wrap dress with knotted bandage detailing and a ruched finish, Gaga is seen reclining on a grey sofa as her long blonde rapunzel hair drapes elegantly across her body.

Completing her high-fashion femme fatal look with a huge purple statement rock, a selection of stacked silver rings, barely there eye-male up and pale peach lips, Gaga looks like a true mermaid goddess. Love.

The Grammy award-winner also took to Twitter to reveal her excitement at her new job, posting: 'I'm so happy to be working w/ @Versace for the new Campaign! What do you wanna wear this Spring? #Donatella #famiglia.'

It's not hard to see how Gaga landed the prestigious high-fashion role - the ARTPOP artist has been a close friend of the label's 58-year-old designer for years.

'I am honoured that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign,' Donatella told the Independent before her recent fashion show.

'I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.'

Gaga even paid homage to her BFF on a subtly-titled song from her new ARTPOP album, entitled 'Donatella'.

'She's so rich, and so blonde... she's so fab, it's beyond', the lyrics read.

Following the announcement, Lady Gaga rocked up to the American Music Awards over the weekend wearing the striking Versace gown from the campaign shot itself - only this time with the addition of a fairy-tale white horse, which the outlandish star rode into the ceremony on.

Lady Gaga treated the audience - which included Adele, former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips and One Direction's Niall Horan - to a 60-minute set featuring entirely new material from her new album ArtPop, including new songs like Manicure, I Wanna Be With You, Aura, Jewels & Drugs, Sex Dreams, Applause and Swine.

The provocative singer told fans to come dressed in 'bedazzled pig snouts' and 'trash bags or artclothes' ('Artclothes are clothes you don't mind getting covered in live art!' she explained to fans on Twitter before the festival).

Mother Monster wore multiple costumes during the show, including dressing up as a bandit in a black bandana and taking off her wig to show fans who she is beneath all the glitz.

'When I didn't feel strong enough to be me, I created someone else. And it worked,' Gaga told fans in the performance.

'So here I am, the human underneath the wigs.'

Lady Gaga used the oldest trick in the book, her body, to fend off chart competition from Katy Perry in her comeback music video for 'Applause'.

After two years off the music scene, Lady Gaga's first official video (released yesterday) from the forthcoming Artpop album features her writhing around on a mattress in skimpy black undies as well as pulling some choreographed moves in a hand-grope bikini and pole dancing in a clam shell cover up.

The famously eccentric star - who premiered the video with an appearance on 'Good Morning America' - is currently waged in a chart battle with popstar Katy Perry after deliberating rushing her single to release.

Yet it's Perry who is expected to land the top spot this weekend as it's expected to shift 525,000 sales by the end of the week.

Gaga calls the video 'fashion, pop, performance art fantasia' and claims to be starting a fresh with this latest, most raunchy video yet.

'OK let's start over!' she Tweeted fans. 'I'm so excited to see u at the premiere of my video @gma in 8 hrs. I am grateful to share this new experience with you!'

To create the 'fantasia', there's magic (where she emerges from a giant hat) and illusions as Gaga appears behind a cape in her newest, trademark look - splashes of brightly coloured face paint.

She might be needing some magic if she's hoping to keep Katy Perry from topping the charts this weekend. We'll have to just wait and see.

Lady Gaga has made another style statement in an attempt to promote her new single, Applause, as it emerges she partied with Robert Pattinson over the weekend

Lady Gaga donned her warpaint once again yesterday, after a heavy week partying with some of Hollywood's biggest stars.

The eccentric singer, who is currently waged in a chart battle with pop princess Katy Perry, was snapped leaving Chateau Marmont nightclub – one of LA's most popular nightspots and a firm favourite of Robert Pattinson's.

It's emerged that Rob was partying at the hotel over the weekend, where he stayed and partied with Lady Gaga instead of hitting the Teen Choice Awards.

For the second time this week, Lady Gaga left the Hollywood haunt, this time wearing a more conservative outfit than one she'd worn last Sunday – a black thong and sheer jewel-encrusted body suit.

Gaga released the 'Applause' music video from her new Artpop album yesterday in which she wears splashes of primary colour make-up across her face in the same style as, but more haphazard than, the ones she's wearing in the newest pictures from posh hang out Marmont.

The video was filmed just three days ago, when Gaga was spotted wearing the eye-catching makeup out and about on the streets of Los Angeles.

We thought she was just making a statement.

It seems Lady Gaga will stop at nothing to keep her pop rival from the top spot in the US charts this weekend, and using make-up and R-Patz is our idea of a strategy.

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson is building himself quite a reputation for hard partying with female celebs and is now able to drop names like Beyonce and Michelle Rodriguez.

Reports today suggest his latest Hollywood hook-up is O.C star Mischa Barton who's stayed out of the celebrity spotlight since her more famous high school drama days.

We can't help but wonder what Lady Gaga and Robert Pattinson had to talk about at the LA hotspot, but Gaga certainly gets a round of 'Applause' from us for her choice of party companion.

Lady Gaga's comeback campaign is in full swing, and yesterday the singer arrived for an interview in LA with a face full of paint.

Gaga had decided to recreate the artwork from her new album ARTPOP for her interview on The Ryan Seacrest Show. Wearing a full-length black dress by Saint Laurent, a nose ring and half a shaved head, Lady Gaga was in full self-promotion mode.

A few days earlier the singer had posted a naked photo of herself on Instagram to celebrate the first radio play of her new single, Applause.

Gaga was forced to release the song early because hackers had begun to leak the single, much to the star's annoyance.

She wrote (in shouty capitals): 'DUE TO HACKERS AN ABUNDANCE OF LOW/HIGH QUALITY LEAKS...WE ISSUE THIS POP MUSIC EMERGENCY...MONSTERS SPREAD THE WORD. MY NEW SINGLE 'APPLAUSE' IS OUT TODAY AND CAN BE HEARD ON UNITED STATES RADIO IN 15 MINUTES. INTERNATIONAL RADIO TO FOLLOW. POP MUSIC EMERGENCY. MY NEW SINGLE COMES OUT TODAY. 911 SPREAD THIS MESSAGE.'

Applause, the singer's first new material since 2011, was originally scheduled for release on 19 August.

The single has received pretty good reviews so far, with Rolling Stone saying: 'Applause is all bouncy disco and simple messages,' while Billboard said it was 'built around pulsating synthesizers and morphs into a thrilling dance cut when it circles back to its chorus'.

Lady Gaga will give the first performance of the single at the MTV Awards on 25 August. Her third album, ARTPOP, will be released in November.

Lady Gaga's boyfriend Taylor Kinney was unable to attend the ceremony, as he's busy filming The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz in New York. The pair were spotted embracing in a seriously steamy PDA on the Big Apple streets last week, with Cameron rocking a huge (fake) baby bump.

Taylor has since been reunited with his famous girlfriend, though. The pair were spotted walking around New York in the rain, with Taylor carrying Lady Gaga's Hermes bag while she tottered around in huge wedge heels.

In new pictures which have emerged this morning, the A-list actress can be seen enjoying a steamy smooch with the star in New York. But Lady Gaga needn't get penning a new break-up track, as Cameron and Taylor are simply filming scenes for their new movie, aptly titled 'The Other Woman'.

Wearing a white shift dress and with a cheesy grin on her face, Cameron hugs Taylor and then surprises him with a lingering kiss. Taylor scoops up the actress and quite literally sweeps her off her feet, right in the middle of a New York street.

Sounds like our kind of movie.

If that wasn't enough to stop passers-by in their tracks, the eagle-eyed will notice that Cameron is also rocking a baby bump in the pictures. She can be seen cradling her bump while chatting away to her co-star Leslie Mann.

The pictures come just days after we reported that Cameron has been linked to real-life Iron Man, Elon Musk. Rumours are circulating in Hollywood that the actress is hooking up with businessman Elon, who Robert Downey Jr's character Tony Stark was loosely based on.

Lady Gaga may not have her own movie role (yet), unlike Beyonce or Madonna, but she’s about to appear in one of the hottest silver screen offerings of the year, The Great Gatsby.

The quirky songstress has been accidentally revealed as one of the names thought to be writing and performing songs for the soundtrack.

Adelaide Clemens, who plays Catherine in the film, told Indiewire’s The Playlist: ‘Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz [Luhrmann, the film’s director] and are writing songs for the film, and I don't think Warner Brothers are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door.’

Lady Gaga will be in good company on the soundtrack, not only with Prince’s 80s sound, but the film’s trailer already features Jay-Z’s music.

Lady Gaga stayed safe with a black dress for the event and allowed her accessories to do the talking

Lady Gaga launched her new Fame fragrance at Harrods last night (Sunday) in the only way she knows how: with something daringly different adorning her body.

The star prevented a long black dress from being disappointingly safe by wearing gold, claw-like rings on her hands.

The gold and black theme is a nod to the bottle of Lady Gaga’s first scent that sports the same colours and is the first ever black fragrance that becomes clear once it is sprayed onto the body.

To work alongside the very unique gold claw the singer wore an auburn hairpiece and played down her make-up with a slick of winged eyeliner framing her eyes. While her outfit may not have caused controversy this time, her behaviour certainly did.

The singer was booed at the launch after she failed to walk the full length of the specially-themed black carpet and greet the fans who had been waiting for up to four hours. However, competition winners were treated to a tea party with the star inside the store and dined on black macaroons.

It’s unlikely this slip-up will harm sales of the scent, though, it’s believed to have sold six million bottles in its first week, making it the fastest selling fragrance after Coco Chanel.

Lady Gaga continued her campaign against weight critics over the weekend, hitting back at fat jibes during a gig in Zurich, Switzerland.

After being targeted for her newly curvy figure (which looks fabulous to us!), Gaga asked fans to 'cheer' and 'celebrate' for 30 more years of being slammed for her shape.

'They won't kill me. They won't stop me from speaking my mind. I will make music for you for the next 30 years,' she told the crowd.

'You know, so for like, let's cheers. Let's celebrate. To 30 more years of them calling me a sl*t. To 30 more years of them calling me a fat, attention-seeking wh*re.'

The singer added: 'To 30 more years of people telling me to shut my mouth about equality and gay rights. May we say cheers and celebrate 30 more years of the conversation that we've started that we're never gonna finish.'

Last week, Gaga posted a series of nearly nude snaps online in response to weight comments from critics, using Twitter to slam what she called our 'ugly' society, and launching the Body Revolution.

Explaining her recent weight gain, she wrote: 'My boyfriend prefers me curvier. When I eat I am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I'm happy. Happier than I've ever been.

'I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size.'

The lookalike singer and designer were pictured together with Lady Gaga's dog on a hotel balcony in Italy

Looking more like mother and daughter than fashion designer and muse, Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace strike a pose on a balcony in Milan.

The superstar singer was the star guest at a private dinner party hosted by Donatella at the Palazzo Versace in the Italian fashion capital and decided to give the throng of fans waiting outside a glimpse of the twosome.

With their matching long, ironed, bleach blonde hair and Versace outfits, the pair posed for a series of pictures together on the balcony – think kissing one another, throwing roses to their fans down below and cuddling Gaga's fluffy dog, Fozzi Bear.

As well as the balcony ensemble, the pop star was pictured wearing a black dress adorned with Versace's signature giant safety pins and embellished cowboy boots outside the luxury hotel.

Gaga then chained again, into a red figure-hugging Versace dress with cut-out sections, which she wore with a statement belt, sunglasses and a brunette wig to pose for more pictures alongside Donatella, who wore a black leather number.

The dinner party is the latest in the Gaga/Versace love affair. As well as dressing the singer for numerous red carpet appearances, the fashion house also allowed her to wear pieces from the label's archive for her 2011 Edge of Glory video, including an S&M-inspired leather outfit and a printed jacket.

Uploading the pictures online, Lady Gaga captioned the first shot: 'Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15.'

Explaining her recent weight gain, she wrote: 'My boyfriend prefers me curvier. When I eat I am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I'm happy. Happier than I've ever been.

'I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size.'

The songstress also posted the pictures to newly-created Twitter account A Body Revolution - titling one: 'To inspire bravery' - and encouraging her Little Monsters to do the same.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Gaga was told to shed 11kg (1st 11lb) by her record company, reports they have since denied.

Lady Gaga has quite rightly hit back at claims she's gained weight by branding society as 'ugly' and stepping out in a particularly unflattering dress.

The singer found herself at the centre of attention last week, not for some crazy antic she'd pulled off but for comments some people made about the star's weight.

Gaga, 26, also then seemed to make fun of the talk surrounding her weight by stepping out in Paris wearing a tres unusual balloon dress, that more resembled a fat suit than haute couture.

Last week, the Born This Way star blamed the delicious food at her Dad's Italian restaurant for any weight gain, which was a far cry from the controversy caused a few months previously when she told fans she was eating a salad but ‘dreaming of a cheeseburger’ before claiming ‘pop stars don’t eat’.

Lady Gaga revealed her new physique is the result of some well-deserved indulgence

Lady Gaga is one of the hardest working women in pop, but this of course comes with stresses and strains. And, like most of us, her weight can fluctuate. As she embarks on the latest leg of the Born This Way tour, the star has been sporting a curvier frame - and she says it’s all the result of home cooking.

But when you’re a superstar of Lady Gaga’s magnitude it won’t be just any home cooking. Her father, Joe Germanotta, owns a restaurants in New York, and the singler has revealed her reported 25lb weight gain is all down sampling his cusine.

IS LADY GAGA PREGNANT?

Following some well deserved pizza, pasta and all other delicious Italian delicacies, the 26-year-old says she’s going to avoid the eatery. She told radio host Elvis Duran:

‘I love eating pasta and pizza. I’m a New York Italian girl. That’s why I have been staying out of New York. My father opened a restaurant. It's so amazing.

'It’s so freaking delicious, but I’m telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there. So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I’m, like, “I’ve got to go where I can drink green juice.”'

Of course it’s not like Gaga to hold anything back and she gave a refreshingly frank answer about how she feels about her new figure.

She added: ‘I really don’t feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly.

‘It’s hard because it’s a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don’t like that. So I’m trying to find a new balance.'

Kelly Osbourne thinks Lady Gaga is expecting a baby, but is it her place to say?

Lady Gaga is pregnant, according to Kelly Osbourne.

The outspoken Fashion Police star has been discussing the singer's recent fashion choices and lack of bleach in her hair, claiming all the evidence points to Gaga expecting a child.

'I think she is pregnant because she has been covering up this part of her body recently and I have been noticing that a lot,' she said on Alan Carr's Chatty Man.

'And her style has changed and you can't bleach your hair blonde when you are pregnant.'

But hold your horses, Kelly, since the TV show recording Gaga has been causing controversy by lighting up a marijuana spliff on stage in Amsterdam.

'I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I've really cut down on drinking. It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music,' she said.

'It's like saying everybody needs to take a breath and it's going to be OK.'

Nicki Minaj has clearly been paying close attention to the goings on at London Fashion Week as the star stepped out in some headwear set to rival Lady Gaga’s efforts Philip Treacy’s show on Sunday evening.

For Philip Treacy's spring summer 2013 catwalk show, Lady Gaga wore an impressive array of hats with the biggest (and perhaps more questionable) nod going to the floral headpiece that worked it’s way round her entire face leaving a just a small space for her features to peek through.

Keen not to be outdone by the star, Nicki Minaj tried on her own hat as she attended American Idol auditions in New York yesterday.

The Superbass singer’s headwear of choice featured a military theme with a peaked cap, large white feather and plenty of gold adornments.

Lady Gaga teamed her helmet style hat with a jade green velvet-embossed dress by Alexander McQueen. Nicki did things differently opting for a monochrome look with leather shorts worked with matching tights and high-necked blouse.

WATCH Lady Gaga in action at Philip Treacy's London Fashion Week show...

Ushered through airport-like security at the Royal Courts of Justice, we took our seats and waited for what was tipped to be the most magical show London Fashion week had ever seen.

Outside, there was a paparazzi scrum as dozens of photographers tried to capture the stars arriving including Dita Von Teese, Grace Jones, Kim Cattrell, Nick Rhodes and Bryan Ferry.

As the lights dimmed we waited in a hushed silence until there she was, the superstar name that had been on everyone's lips all day, LADY GAGA!

As the Queen of pop stepped onto the marble floor in Alexander McQueen Armadillo shoes and shrouded in floor-length pink mesh we knew we were in for something special. Hailing Philip Treacy 'as the greatest milliner in the world' it was clear after a 13 year absence from LFW the Irish milliner was back with aplomb.

As Gaga took her place, suprisingly content to sit on the floor (the front row was full) an army of all black models led by Alex Wek marched out each wearing a Michael Jackson vintage costume topped with an equally extravagant Treacy headpiece.

Chair dancing along to thumping soundtrack from the late king of pop, it felt more like a concert than a millinery show as we whooped and cheered in delight as hat after hat appeared. But these were more than just your average head toppers.

A perspex helmet, a huge feather creation, a fully working miniature carousel, multi couloured bejeweled full face mask and an alien like LED flashing rimmed headpiece being just some of the highlights. Saving the best for last, Treacy sent a model in a full wire cage down the runway which glowed in time to a gospel choir who slowly appeared singing a rendition of Michael Jackson's hit 'Will You Be There.'

Surreal, bizzare and utterly memersiming it really was what London Fashon week dreams are made of!

Paris Hilton, Yoko Ono, Jason Wu and Marc Jacobs mingled at Lady Gaga's surreal soiree

Rocking a revealing black lace Prabal Gurung gown and Kwait jewels, Lady Gaga was joined by some A-list friends at the surreal launch of her new perfume, Fame. The Born This Way singer arrived at the Guggenheim Museum in New York atop a red convertible, before making her entrance in a typically bonkers floral robe.

Once inside, the eccentric singer launched her debut fragrance from inside a life-sized perfume bottle where she received a tattoo while applying make-up and playing on an Ipad. Oh and then Gaga pee-ed in a bowl. Like you do.

The masquerade black tie event featured a few hundred people dressed up in eye masks and headgear, with celebrity attendees including Paris Hilton, Yoko Ono, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu and Lindsay Lohan.

Naturally, Marie Claire was there too, with beauty writer Cassie Steer spilling the beans on the bonkers bash: 'Last night will certainly go down as one of the more surreal of my life. From the fabulous venue, to the people (hanging at the bar with Marc Jacobs for one) and the, er, pee (as part of her performance art Gaga relieved herself in a bowl!).

'It's one I won't be forgetting in a hurry!'

Following the success of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June and her involvement in the London 2012 Olympic Games, The Queen's triumphant year continued yesterday as she jumped 20 places to be named the 26th most powerful woman in the world in Forbes' annual list.

The Queen, who is also commended for her history-making, peace-keeping trip to Northern Ireland in June where she shook hands with former IRA commander Martin McGuinness, is only one of two Brits who make the respected rankings' top 100, with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling also named on the list but coming in at number 78.

Designer Diane von Furstenberg is the highest placed fashion name in the 33 spot, thanks to her hugely successful fashion labels and her role as the President of the CFDA. Other notable fashion figures include Burberry's American CEO Angela Ahrendts (45), magazine editrix Anna Wintour (51), designer Miuccia Prada (67) and the world's richest model, Gisele (83).

To echo the scent’s black hue – the first ever eau de parfum to achieve this, Lady Gaga wears a black shade over her lips.

The ad follows the original that was also captured by Klein and features a clothes-free Gaga allowing miniature naked men to crawl over her body and protect her modesty.

Film director Robert Rodriguez gives us a first glimpse of Lady Gaga as La Chameleon in Machete Kills

Pop superstar Lady Gaga is set to make her film debut in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, the director has revealed on Twitter.

The singer will join a star-studded cast, including Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana, Vanessa Hudgens, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson, in the action film that's due to hit cinema screens next year.

In a teaser set whet the appetite of film buffs, Rodriguez posted a picuture of Lady Gaga as her character, La Chameleon, on his Twitter page.

The singer, who has done a spot of acting before in her epic music video mini films, is the latest recruit for the sequel to 2010's Machete, which will see Charlie Sheen play the president of the United States and Mel Gibson as an eccentric billionaire arms dealer.
