As far as timeless make-up looks go, there’s one kind that will never cease to impress—glowy, minimalist and effortlessly elegant. It’s the answer to looking instantly “put together” and achieving that coveted “lit-from-within” glow, which is exactly what Chanel Make-up Artist Kara Yoshimoto aimed to replicate for Jessica Biel’s cover look. Think: a fresh and illuminated base, a natural yet defined lip, naturally feathered brows and softly sculpted eyeshadow.

The key to nailing this look is light-handed application techniques and moving with intention—it's about creating a seamlessly cohesive look. Sound daunting? Fear not, we've asked Kara to break down the look and share her top tips below. You're welcome.

Ace Your Base

Starting with the base, Kara used the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch to even out the skin tone, but still embrace Jessica's natural skin texture. Blurring the lines between skincare and make-up, this lightweight gel-like formula is infused with skin-loving ingredients and antioxidants to help hydrate and plump up the skin. “For the most lightweight application, blend one pump of the micro-droplets thoroughly on the back of the hand with the brush before applying,” Kara suggests.

“Use the lighter shade to even the complexion, the deeper tone to subtly contour under the jawline, under cheekbones and edges of the face and use your finger to tap for extra coverage around the nose, mouth and just in the curve under the eye to seamlessly conceal,” she explains. On Jessica, she ended up using shades B10 and BD31. Her top tip is to be “Extra light-handed under the eyes and cheekbones and only work it up to just below where the lower lashes extend out to avoid creasing and smudging your eye make-up or emphasising any fine lines.”

To add a sun-kissed glow with a touch of pink, Kara then opted for the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Golden Glow Powder Duo in the shade Éclat Du Soir. “Sweep the pinky illuminating powder over the apples of the cheeks and bridge of the nose, then layer the richer, more pigmented and warmer shade to gently sculpt the apples of the cheeks,” she shares.

The Eyes Have It

As for the eyes, Kara first went in with the Chanel Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palette in the shade 308 Clair-Obscur, which helped achieve that “effortlessly defined” look with added “depth and softness.” Featuring four neutral shades, this formula delivered a seamless creamy blend “to contour above the lid towards the bridge of the nose and sculpt [Jessica’s] sultry hooded eyes.”

“The lightest shade is perfect for gently highlighting on the brow bone and on the lid and along the lower lash line,” Kara says. You can then layer the formula and blend out the mid-tone shades to “extend the eyes into a fox-like shape,” and as Kara suggests, “pressing the darkest shade into the lash line into the inner eyes for a natural chic intensity.”

Kara’s choice of mascara fell on the Chanel Inimitable formula in the shade 30 Noir Brun, which is a darker brown that naturally defines the lashes without making them look too dramatic. What makes this mascara unique is its flexible brush with ultra-thin bristles to volumise, lengthen, curl and separate the lashes seamlessly without resulting in any clumps or flakiness.

Her top mascara application technique is to “curl the lashes and gently wiggle from the roots up to the tips to define without overpowering.” Next, she advises to “feather with a clean spoolie just enough to lift and frame the eyes, letting the beauty of delicate lids brighten and open the eyes. "It’s elegance in restraint, where less becomes more," she adds.

Let the lips do the talking

Last, but most certainly not least, the lips. Kara created a “soft yet defined lip” that effortlessly complemented Jessica’s natural pout. She first went in with the Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres lip pencil in the shade Beige Natural, which is a beautiful pinky peach colour to “lightly even out the lips.”

That said, Kara also points out that prepping the lips with a hydrating lip balm is key for smoother application. “Always hydrate first with plenty of Chanel Rouge Coco Baume and use a spoolie to exfoliate any excess skin,” she suggests.

For a natural contoured look, Kara advises using the Chanel Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in the shade 20 Blonde Cendré “to create gentle shadowing around the edges.” She also shared that she ended up using the same multi-purpose pencil for “feathering and filling in the brows.”

To create a soft brow, Kara suggests using “light hairlike strokes in the inner brows and drawing broader strokes on the outer brow with firmer pressure to create definition in the arch." She adds: "Blend gently with the spoolie on the other end of the pencil with upward and outward movement."

‘We arrived home exhausted, disillusioned, and totally in shock’

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are notoriously tight-lipped when it comes to their relationship and son Silas Randall, but as their little boy turns three, the couple has opened up about his traumatic childbirth for the first time.

The Timberlakes’ former nanny, Connie Simpson, has just released a book of her experiences, Nanny Connie Way: Secrets to Mastering the First Four Months of Parenthood - and the couple saw it as the perfect opportunity to tell their story.

While originally intending on having a ‘natural childbirth’, the couple was rushed to hospital to have an ‘emergency C-section’, with Jessica explaining the impact that the traumatic birth had on her.

‘Our story with Nanny Connie started the day we brought our son home from the hospital,’ the couple explained in an extract from the book, via Entertainment Tonight. ‘That may sound like a normal statement coming from new parents, except our birth plan was anything but normal. We had two midwives, one doula, one meditation birthing class, a ton of hippy baby books, and a lovely home in the Hollywood Hills that we had turned into a labour training facility that we called The Octagon. So, not exactly normal.’

‘When all our plans fell apart and the serene, natural childbirth we had envisioned ended with a transfer to the hospital and an emergency C-section, we arrived home exhausted, disillusioned, and totally in shock,’ the couple explained, with Jessica going on to describe how having an emergency caesarian changed her approach.

‘I was obsessed with everything organic, toxin-free, natural, and homeopathic for our kid, who came into this world in an operating room through an incision,’ she explained. ‘I was a dictator, making myself and my husband insane!’

It doesn’t look like this has put Justin off having babies in the future however, with the 37-year-old announcing ‘I want to have as many kids as we can, if I’m honest,’ in an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe.

No, the 35-year-old isn’t visiting secondary school classrooms and demonstrating how to roll a condom onto a banana — the work she’s doing is for sexually active adults. She’s partnered with WomanCare Global to create a series of videos that aim to highlight sexual health in a light-hearted way.

On Tuesday, Biel put her knowledge into action at the 2018 Makers Conference in Los Angeles, where she participated in an enlightening panel discussion alongside Evofem Biosciences CEO and Executive Director Saundra Pelletier.

Discussing her personal experiences, Biel explained how she’s applied WCG’s lessons to her own sex life with husband Justin Timberlake.

‘I feel more confident to just tell the truth,’ she revealed during the panel discussion. ‘I feel confident to say “You know what? I’m not feeling it,” or “This doesn’t feel good,” or “I like this,” and I think that takes a long time.’

Discussing the program’s directive, the Sinner star explained, ‘We’d like to help you feel better internally. When women are empowered, we feel confident, and we understand ourselves, we feel like we have control over our bodies and our lives—it permeates the community, it permeates the country, the world, economically it changes things … That’s a fact.’

'Every once in a while I can catch a glimpse of her when she doesn't see me looking,' he explained to Ellen DeGeneres back in 2013. 'I have this moment where I'm like, "if you only make bad decisions for the rest of your life, you made one really good decision."'

Despite an obviously growing bump and the Internet rumour mill going into overdrive, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have only just confirmed that they are having a baby. The superstar couple announced the news in the cutest way, with this Instagram photo of Justin kissing Jessica's bump.

Justin, who turned 34 on Saturday, posted the photo with the caption: 'Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes! This year, I'm getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN'T WAIT. #BoyOrGirl #YouNeverKnow#WeDontEvenKnow#WeAreTakingBets'.

Despite fans noticing Jessica's expanding waistline way back in December, Justin and Jessica have stayed tight-lipped on the subject, only now acknowledging what we've all suspected for months.

Have you evver wondered how the stars get their flawless red carpet beauty looks? Well you're in luck. As the A-list recover from Brit Awards madness, we quizzed the lovely lady responsible for Jessica Biel's british award show style.

Ahead of the ceremony, where the newly crowned Mrs Timberlake watched her hubby take to the stage, the actress carefully planned out her red carpet make-up look with beauty expert Amanda Bell.

BRIT AWARDS: STARS & STYLE

'Jessica and I had a good chat about the kind of look we thought would be great for the Brits, taking inspiration from the striking cobalt blue Tom Ford dress she was due to wear,' Amanda told us.

'Jessica wanted more of a fair and radiant English rose look, rather than anything bronzed and tanned, with soft, sheeny definition on the eyes and a statement lip to keep the look young and fresh.

'Texture was key to creating the finished look too, where I wanted the makeup to almost merge with Jessica’s skin so it looked luminous and natural.'

Revealing that actress's skin is in 'great shape,' Amanda said: 'To create Jessica’s look I started by preparing her skin. She had already applied a moisturiser but no eye treatment so I used a little Lancome Visionnaire round the eyes to smooth the texture and then Hydrazen Yeux to plump out any dehydration lines.

She followed with a Shu Uemura brightening under base mousse, Armani Luminous Silk Pressed powder, a pinky peach blush from Arbonne, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick and Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder, for ' beautiful, soft focus finish'.

'For the eyes, we decided upon a softly defined look, with more sheen than colour, Amanda explained.

'I applied Shu Uemura pressed powder eye shadow in Me Silver a super fine layer of copper MAC eye shadow, followed by MAC pigment in Naked to give the colour more depth.'

She added: 'I have many much loved brushes but I also use finger application a lot to create a soft, smudgy glow rather than a more defined look.

'A little gel liner in a smoky dark brown pressed into the lash line and a couple of coats of a volumising black mascara added that last bit of definition and finished her eyes perfectly.'

Finally, Amanda and Jessica chose a high impact lip to finish the look.

'I wanted the texture to play a big part in how the colour looked so I chose a full colour, light textured lipstick, Lancome Rouge in Love,' Amanda reveals.

'I pressed the lipstick on with my finger, contoured the shape with a lip brush, then applied a true red liner pencil to make the lips look even fuller. Finally, I pressed a contrasting contrasting orange shade onto the centre of the lips and added a find dusting of powder to matt down the texture'.

Et voila! Red carpet ready, and looking gorgeous.

While Tom Ford's successful return to the fashion stage at London Fashion Week last night should have been all about the clothes, we couldn't help but notice front row guest Jessica Biel's hair.

Her thick blunt fringe was still eye-skimmingly good, and yes, that coveted shine was still present, but the overall style was a retro departure for the beautiful actress.

Channelling the look of Swinging Sixties babes such as The Ronettes' Ronnie Spector and silver screen sex bomb Brigitte Bardot, Jess opted for a voluminous beehive that was neatly pinned in at the back.

But if, like me, you wouldn't mind recreating the look but believe it's just too damn tricky, think again, because the man behind the style has given me the lowdown on how to do it. Brilliant, no?

According to Snowden Hill, global session stylist and senior member of the Fudge art team, all you need is some hairspray (Fudge Skyscraper Hairspray £9.45), a bit of mousse (Fudge Hot Hed Whip High £13.95) and some hair pins.

He says: 'Working with Jessica was an absolute delight. She is a lovely woman with incredible hair! To achieve this look I used Fudge’s Hot Hed Style whip before blow-drying the hair smooth. This product acts as a great heat protector whilst calming frizz.'

He adds: 'Once smooth, I backcombed the hair at the crown of the head and wrapped it in to a high French roll. Finally, I set the hair with my favourite hairspray, Skyscraper.'

Last moth we told you that Justin Timberlake had teamed up with Tom Ford as part of his musical comeback, so it was no real surprise to see the singer and his actress wife Jessica Biel at the designer's London Fashion Week show last night.

The couple joined the British fashion set and hit the show circuit as the star guests at the unveiling of Ford's autumn/winter 2013 collection at the capital's grand Lancaster House.

Looking as glossy as you'd expect from a Tom Ford show guest, Jessica wowed in a long-sleeved top with a plunging neckline and a shimmering black sequined skirt that fell just below the knee – both from the designer's spring/summer 2013 collection. A pair of black and gold multi-strap heels, a zig-zag printed clutch and a '60s-inspired beehive hairstyle completed her look. As for Justin, the singer looked sharp in a charcoal grey checked suit teamed with a blue and white shirt, dark tie and black patent shoes – also all by Tom Ford.

The two stars sat alongside the likes of Ford's long-term partner Richard Buckley and fashion power player Carine Roitfeld on the front row at the show, and erupted into raptuous applause as the Texan designer took to the catwalk to take his bow.

The designer dressed the former boyband member in some of his smartest attire for a video for his latest single, which is fittingly called Suit & Tie and features guest vocals from Jay-Z, as well as the artwork to accompany the release.

The twosome have also been working closely together on a series of bespoke tailoring – think eveningwear, shoes and accessories – that will be the 'focal point of The 20/20 Experience'. It's understood that Ford has created made-to-measure menswear for the singer's promotional appearances, live shows and future videos for the album, which is expected to be released later this year.

The album cover was shot in moody monochrome with Justin in a tuxedo starring through an optician’s phoropter. The image, taken by photographer Tom Munro fails to show much of the singer’s face but makes the music the focus instead.

Along with the image, Justin also shared the track list from the album on his Twitter page on Wednesday evening. The hand written list reveals song names including Tunnel Vision and Mirrors hinting that this is could be a very self-reflected album.

Justin Timberlake explained his choice of name for his album, The 20/20 Experience saying the idea came to him after a friend listened to the tracks and dubbed it ‘music that you can see.’

To help build up anticipation for Justin Timberlake’s third studio album, The 20/20 Experience, the star released the snaps, that were taken last year, on his website.

Justin Timberlake is turning his back on his film career for the foreseeable future and instead has announced he’s going back to music and will be releasing his first album in six years.

Instead of releasing a statement, Justin took a more inspired approach as he shared the news with fans in a video that he posted on his website yesterday (Thursday).

The black and white film follows the star in one continuous shot as he walks into a recording studio, taking to the mic at the end and simply saying: ‘I’m ready.’

'Look I've only done two albums in 10 years that's the way I really look at it. What does the next decade mean for me? I'm the one who sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it.'

And by the sound of things the six year wait is almost over, as a countdown clock has appeared on the website, with more news and hopefully a single to come.

To add to our excitement, Justin finished things off saying: ‘As close as I get to it, I don't know that I could physically torture myself year in and year out and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now. I don't want to put anything out that out that I feel is something I don't love. You just don't get that every day. You have to wait for it... I'm ready.'’

'It’s nice to have a minute. After this, the bar is so high, so what do you do? I’m taking a break,' the 30-year-old said while promoting Hitchcock.

Biel also said that she would like to have kids during a recent interview on Good Morning America, adding: 'I think especially because the kid, Noah (Lomax), who plays my son [in the movie Playing for Keeps], is literally the coolest kid I've ever met.'

Jessica and Justin married in a lavish secret ceremony in southern Italy in October, where Jessica wore a custom-designed pink fairytale dress by Giambattista Valli.

Valli said in a statement: 'When Jessica asked me to design her wedding dress, I was all the more excited. We have been friends for a long time and have followed and supported each other's work though all these years.' He added: 'She has always been a fabulous interpreter of my creations and I was very pleased when she came to me to help her for her nuptials to Justin. And I could not be more proud that she walked down the aisle in Italy, my own country, wearing Giambattista Valli!'

A video shown at Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s nuptials has caused controversy after vagrants were paid to appear in it

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel should be basking in the bliss of being newlyweds following their lavish Italian wedding over the weekend, but their big day has been tarnished after a video shown at the party appeared to exploit homeless people.

As a special wedding gift, Justin’s close friend, real estate agent, Justin Huchel filmed a video entitled ‘Greetings from Your Hollywood Friends Who Just Couldn't Make It.’ It featured interviews with ten people, many of them homeless and some reportedly appeared intoxicated who were paid to say scripted lines to the celebrity couple pretending they knew them.

The montage of messages were shown to guests at the wedding but soon leaked online with gawker.com obtaining the video. The website reports a ‘toothless’ man tells the camera: ‘Justin and Jessica, I haven't seen you for a long time, I hope the wedding goes fine for you. My gift is in the mail.’

A transvestite also appeared on screen, warning the bride: ‘Good luck and watch your man.’

Following the news Twitter was awash with angry posts, @GregortheMendel tweeted: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: Homeless, ill people are not funny. Wedding fodder for you?’

@Part_Deux said: ‘And we're to believe they care about the poor, and the rich 1%ers like Timberlake exploiting the less fortunate.’ Mr Huchel’s lawyers scrambled to get the footage shut down and wrote to gawker.com saying: ‘Mr. Huchel made [the] video to be used and exhibited privately at Justin Timberlake’s wedding as a private joke without Mr. Timberlake’s knowledge.’

The New York Post is now reporting that Jessica and Justin have now signed a deal with People magazine for $300,000 (£188,000) for exclusive photographs and interviews. The UK rights have been sold to Hello! magazine and the editor has tweeted that the snaps will be available today.

We've already seen a photo of Jessica's pink Giambattista Valli-designed dress and we can confirm that it is beautiful.

The festivities started with a beachfront party featuring fireworks and live music on Wednesday, followed by a casual outdoor cocktail reception on Thursday evening, where guests like Timbaland and Andy Samberg mingled by open fires and nibbled on Italian fare like fresh-made cheese, olives and wine.

Over the weekend, Justin was snapped flashing his gold wedding band while out and about in Fasano, Italy.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were rumoured to have exchanged vows in a low-key ceremony on Saturday. Well, it turns out this did not happen.

We were a little surprised to hear reports that TimberBiel had tied the knot, considering Jessica had recently been gushing how much she's enjoying being engaged and has done 'almost nothing' to prepare for the big day.

Turns out our celeb instincts were correct, there was no 'top secret' wedding in Wyoming on Saturday. In fact, the speculation couldn't be further from the truth.

A source told E! News that Biel has been in Europe promoting Total Recall (there's photo evidence and everything) while her fiance was busy working in Puerto Rico.

It's not exactly shocking considering Biel recently revealed to the Chicago Sun-Times: 'I’m just enjoying being engaged. I do feel like there is a lot of time and nothing needs to be rushed.

'Everyone tells me that being engaged is the really special moment.

'Not that it gets bad when you get married! But being engaged is just absolutely amazing. You’re in this romantic, ahhhhh, breathless moment that I’m just trying to extend as long as possible,' she added.

'They pulled a fast one on everybody! They are in the middle of their ceremony at a very fancy private estate and members of the wedding party are staying at the Four Seasons Hotel there.'

However, she added on Saturday: 'Last night turned out to be the rehearsal dinner and the wedding is actually today.'

'I’m just enjoying being engaged. I do feel like there is a lot of time and nothing needs to be rushed. Everyone tells me that being engaged is the really special moment,' she told the paper.

The main cast was out in force for the photo op at the Four Seasons Hotel, including Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Bryan Cranston, but it was Jessica that stole the show in her intricate shift dress.

The US actress, who is engaged to Justin Timberlake, accessorised with a pair of platform Brian Atwood heels, some gold bangles and, of course, that sparkling engagement ring. Jealous much?!

During the fake commercial, Kimmel claims to remove up to 80 per cent of each meal’s calorie’s – by eating most of the food himself, before it is delivered to the client. 

Donning a fat suit for a before and after photo, Scarlett Johansson claims to have ‘hired a ninja to slap the food out of my hand before I could eat it,’ as part of the fake diet, which helped her lose ’63 pounds,' while Emily Blunt claimed she had 'swallowed a tape worm' in an effort to stay thin before the diet.

Amanda Seyfried is on hand to demonstrate how the day the diet works in the five-minute video, and Victoria’s Secret model Marissa Miller shows off the effect, by posing with (identical!) before and after shots of herself.

Actor Neil Patrick Harris is even roped in to explain the ‘science bit’ of the special plan, sending up methods used in real American diet commercials.

‘Fattening foods are subjected to powerful slimming forces which strip away 80 per cent of the carbohydrates, proteins and fats and divert them directly into Jimmy's stomach, where they are digested,’ he explains.

It’s been reported that the showbiz pair have finally decided to go their separate ways

After three years together, hot Hollywood couple Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have split, according to reports.

The celebrity pair have finally decided to call time on their relationship, and have ‘simply grown apart' says a source in today's Mirror.

This comes just weeks after Justin reunited with old flame Cameron Diaz for a spot of on-screen romance in their upcoming film Bad Teacher.

So could it be that sparks were flying on set?

Well it seems not, as sources insist the split has nothing to do with Justin and Cam's recent reunion.

‘Justin truly thought he'd found the one in Jessica and she felt the same. But the relationship just didn't seem to go anywhere,' one insider said.

‘They've both been working incredibly hard and will remain friendly - but there's no more romance.'

Rumours of a split first surfaced in January, and the beautiful twosome have hardly been pictured together since.

And it seems Justin and Jessica may have decided to go their separate ways for good.

‘They both knew things were going to end for ages - it was just a matter of when,' said a source.

They are two of the sexiest singers in pop, so we're not surprised to hear the latest rumours surrounding Justin Timberlake and Rihanna.

Justin is accused of cheating on his long-term girlfriend Jessica Biel with the Umbrella star.

'He is really into her,' claims US gossip website hollyscoop.com. 'Justin and Rihanna have been seeing each other for the past few weeks.'

Rihanna is said to have given Trousersnake a private lap dance at a nightclub in New York last week. But things reportedly got a little more intimate after the dance finished...

It's not the first time the duo have been romantically linked.

Justin, 28, starred in Rihanna's video for her hit song Rehab. Their raunchy dance moves sparked gossip that they were more than just working together.

But is it all just PR for Rihanna's latest record?

The Sexyback star has been helping the 21-year-old in the studio with her new album.

'The stuff we've come up with, it's the next step for her. It's a little more grown-up. It's got some edge to it,' he says.

Both singers have refused to comment on the rumours, but we bet Justin's girlfriend of two years, Jessica Biel, would like either one of them to deny it.

Last year, Jessica was said to be furious over gossip that her beau was cheating, telling him 'How can I ever trust you?'

We're sure it's just nasty tittle-tattle Jess. Honest?
