Maria Grazia Chiuri has a habit of making fashion statements out of, well, statements. At Dior, it was the words of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, "We Should All Be Feminists," a book title which became the ultimate slogan to wear on your T-shirt. So for her first collection as chief creative officer of Fendi, Chiuri had some choice words for ticket-holders, who included Uma Thurman, Jessica Alba, Dakota Fanning, Yasmin Finney and Song Yuqi. This time it was the catwalk itself, which came emblazoned with capital letters spelling, "Less I, More Us."

In the context of world politics, this perhaps makes sense. But what about in the context of clothes? By the looks of the collection, which was largely a study in black and white, Chiuri's raison d'etre might be a wardrobe that's not anonymous per se but that's quiet enough to let the personality wearing it shine through.

It's worth mentioning that while last season might have featured more debuts, AW26 is still a time of upheaval and change, when the design language, or DNA, of storied fashion houses is getting revised or even rewritten.

Chiuri's approach seems to be stripping things back, relying less on handbags (Fendi's bread and butter) and more on clothing that's both commanding yet wearable. Whether this recalibration will truly resonate with the loyal Fendi customer—and translate into lasting commercial success—is something only time will tell.

The Fendi faithful—more accustomed to a punchier palette and bolder silhouettes—will still find plenty to bookmark ahead of Autumn. An off-the-shoulder lace dress offered a persuasive answer to the perennial question of how to refresh the LBD, its fabrication reworked into midi skirts styled with tuxedo shirts, neat ankle socks and the perfect mid heel. Also destined for wish lists? A tiger-print coat that feels like an elegantly refined version of signature Fendi, as well as the jeans, which, styled with chiselled-toe boots, constitute a shift towards something less "done" for the brand. Lastly, the bags. They might not have been the focus, but with an encrusted tote here, and colour-blocked sequin Baguette there, they're still a serious draw.

When I think of the 90s—or, at least a specific period of the era—I think of minimalism, simplicity, and an effortlessly cool aesthetic — and few celebrities embodied that spirit quite like Gwyneth Paltrow. Her approach was sleek and understated, making her a go-to reference for anyone wanting to capture the essence of the era’s coolest looks. It’s hard to find a fashion girlie Instagram that isn’t stuffed with archive photos of her.

So no wonder her looks are so often replicated. Just last month, fellow Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison paid subtle homage to Paltrow’s iconic blush pink Ralph Lauren gown and now Jessica Alba has pulled from the Paltrow archives. For a night in Miami, Alba wore black wide-leg jeans with a black satin bralette and slinky bolero cardigan evocative of Paltrow’s famous pea-green co-ord on-set of the 1998 film Great Expectations.

The all-green Donna Karan cardigan and midi skirt combo has become a thing of fashion folklore appearing on designer’s moodboards and archivist’s Instagrams to this day. Alba evoked the laidbook cool Paltrow (especially circa 1990s) is so known for, complete with a glossy blowout and barely-there makeup.

In many ways, Gwyneth Paltrow is the original poster girl for Quiet Luxury, her style was never about extravagant statements; it was about perfecting the art of refined, quiet elegance.

At the heart of Paltrow’s 90s wardrobe were some signature pieces: slip dresses, high-waisted jeans, and sleek, tailored blazers, all of which we see doing the fashion rounds today. Slips and silky separates (like the aforementioned Donna Karan two-piece), in particular, have become an enduring symbol of her style, especially when paired with other 90s staples like strappy sandals or a simple choker necklace.

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have separated after 16 years of marriage, with the 43-year-old Dear Eleanor actress confirming the news this week.

The couple, who first met in 2004 on the set of Fantastic Four, and wed in 2008, share three children, Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 7. And as Alba and Warren move forward with their separation, their shared priority is said to be the "healthy coparenting" of their two daughters and son.

The news of their split comes after weeks of speculation, after Alba attended a Golden Globes party in West Hollywood without Warren, 46, and visibly not wearing her wedding band. And in the weeks since, sources reported to TMZ that the couple was planning to file for divorce.

"They’re being very honest about their feelings, and why it’s the right time to move on," a source recently explained of the mutual "tough" decision. "No one is placing blame; it’s basically a matter of growing apart."

Going on to emphasise that their priorities are their children, the source continued that both Alba and Cash were committed to "healthy coparenting and making this transition as smooth as possible."

This week, Alba broke her silence on the speculation, speaking out to confirm reports of her and Warren's separation.

"I've been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash," read Alba's message to her Instagram.

"I'm proud of how we've grown in our marriage over the last 20 years and it's now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals."

Her statement continued: "We are moving forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time."

It’s hard work, but we roll up our sleeves and we do it. It’s wild. It’s the longest relationship I could have ever imagined.”

"I would say it’s all rosy for two-and-a-half years," Alba has also said of marriage. "But then after that, you become roommates. You’re just going through the motions, the responsibilities. It’s a lot of, like, checking the boxes."

Yes a new denim line launching this month is offering the first denim contouring, a new fashion buzzword, that, from our understanding, seems to be code for just really flattering jeans.

The DL1961 label has teamed up with none other than Jessica Alba to produce said super-fit denim, with the features of traditional jeans being edited, or contoured, to sculpt and add illusion to the shape, just as you’d get with any other type of contouring.

'Each jean style is unique in terms of its pocket placement, where we place the whiskers [those lighter, bleached lines that can create illusions on the thighs], and we use the weave of the fabric to our advantage in certain places, like under the bum and on the knees to avoid that awful bagging!' Sarah Ahmed, creative Director at DL1961, tells us.

'Our tightly woven denim fabric is engineered to give you the ultimate hold and comfort and our fit is nipped just perfectly at the waist, cinched at the thighs and right below the bum to give you a perky bum.'

'We really take the time to first conceptualise and then wear-test each jean style to make sure that season after season we deliver exactly what our customer wants. Our power hold denim combined with our fresh designs really delivers that.'

For devotees to the skinny, denim contouring could be a great way to explore new styles, without compromising on the sucky-sucky stretch fabrics that you’ve come to rely on.

'You want some stretch so they hold everything together,’ explains Jessica. ‘The other important aspect is for them to be a little tighter on your thighs so they lift your butt, then nipped at the waist to accentuate the curves.’

Whatever the Duchess Of Cambridge wears will always make the headlines, but her sartorial choices cause an even greater buzz when she draws our attention to newer designers and smaller brands. Basically, when Kate steps out in a lesser-known label, she’s confirming that we need to get them on our radar, stat.

And for her latest appearance, the Duchess played her style cards brilliantly, wearing the full-length Mary Illusion Dot Dress by Saloni (with Rupert Sanderson heels) for a function at Kensington Palace.

First launched in 2006 by India-born designer Saloni Lodha, the Saloni label is already loved by A-listers from Emma Watson and Jessica Alba, to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, but Kate's seal of approval has given another, instant boost to the brand - her £498 royal blue maxi is, naturally, now completely sold out.

‘She is in charge of it herself and takes an interest in paying tribute to the host country with nods to their culture and local style on at least a few of the engagements,’ a royal source told the paper. ‘The important factor on this tour is the heat, so that's an issue that plays a big part in the choice of outfits.’

In an interview with Time magazine, Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed the questions that make her really angry…

Oscar-winning actor and entrepreneur, Gwyneth Paltrow, has revealed in an interview with Time that she resents being compared to other A-listers-turned-businesswomen.

In fact, the 42-year-old mother of two has even called the comparisons ‘misogynistic.’

Paltrow founded Goop in 2008, a lifestyle website describing itself as: ‘one of the rare places on the web where food, shopping and mindfulness collide.’

The Time story is about celebrities branching out of their chosen remit to launch lifestyle brands.

When the interviewer asked Paltrow if she frequented sites by fellow actors Blake Lively, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Alba, the Iron Man star responded: ‘That is a very interesting question, because I wonder if George Clooney would be asked about Puff Daddy’s ancillary liquor line.’ (Both actors have invested in alcohol brands).

Reese Witherspoon (39) launched fashion site, Draper James earlier this year, Blake Lively (27) launched her lifestlye brand, Preserve in 2014 and Jessica Alba (34) launched eco-friendly baby brand, The Honest Company, in 2011.

But, according to Paltrow, their brands are not comparable.

‘I’m fascinated how the media in particular are so confounded by entrepreneurial women doing something outside of their box. Jessica, especially, who’s a friend of mine – our businesses could not be more different. There’s really not a lifestyle piece to her business. The fundamentals of our sites are very different.’ She said.

‘I’m slightly offended by this sort of generalisation that happens,’ continued Paltrow.

The interviewer defended their line of questioning, saying ‘this isn’t an original observation…that there are various actresses whose sites launched within a short span of time.’ To which Paltrow responded: ‘I wrestle with it. I feel there’s something slightly misogynistic about it.’

Blake Lively responded similarly to a question posed by Time in the same issue, saying: ‘I see what happens in the world of female entrepreneurs and I see what the media does…they pit women against each other.’

‘You don’t see male entrepreneurs pitted against each other, destroyed, picked apart, and every word they say served up to judge.’ Lively argued.

Paltrow shared her pride at the recognition friend and fellow actor, Jessica Alba has received for her business acumen, saying:

‘I feel very proud when Jessica was on the cover of Forbes…but we have such different businesses.’

Her concerns with society’s approach to women certainly rings true.

‘I think we’re in a funny time for women. We are more and more the breadwinners in families across America or contributing equally; there’s a shift happening sociologically and physiologically. People are wrestling with this new archetype of being a woman with a brain who’s also sexual and trying to do more than one thing at a time. I also feel proud. Why would I not want to do that, if it’s a passion?’

The actress turned businesswoman has amassed a staggering personal fortune through The Honest Company.

Jessica Alba has proved that she really does have brains as well as beauty.

The actress has landed the cover of Forbes magazine after clocking up a personal fortune of an eye-watering $200 million. The issue celebrates America's Richest Self-Made Women and also features Beyoncé Knowles who's worth around $250 million.

Jessica - who was propelled to stardom by her role in 2005 film Sin City - co-founded The Honest Company in 2012 and is thought to hold a 15 to 20% stake. The business has since been valued at $1 billion.

According to its site, The Honest Company is 'a is a trusted source for stylish, eco-friendly baby diapers, wipes, bath & body care products and non-toxic cleaning products.'

Jessica dreamed up the idea when she was pregnant with her and husband Cash Warren's first child Honor in 2008. The pair welcomed their second daughter Haven a few years later in 2011.

A sufferer of allergies as a youngster, the 34-year-old was keen to seek out more eco-friendly products. A large proportion of The Honest Company's revenue comes from nappies.

Jessica's business partner is Christopher Gavigan, the man behind Californian non-profit organisation Healthy Child Healthy World.

The duo fly all over the world to promote their empire and stepped out yesterday in Seol, South Korea. For the event held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel, Jessica donned a suitably stunning outfit.

She tucked a pale blue button-up shirt into a textured 50s-inspired A-line skirt that fell a couple of inches below her knees.

Jessica - who kept jewellery to a minimum and accessorised with a sky-high pair of pink pastel platforms - wore her mid-brown bob in a sleek and straight style. A 'do that's totally on-trend for SS15.

She added colour to her complexion with bronzer and framed her eyes with a flick of mascara.

The usually polished actress is almost unrecognisable as she celebrates getting older by throwing a star-studded themed bash.

Kate Hudson is one celebrity who doesn't seem at all fazed about getting older.

In fact, the actress was so chilled out about turning 36 earlier this month that she decided to throw a fancy dress bash with a couple of pals on Sunday.

'No better way to celebrate a Bday then having a joint 'Hot Mess' themed party with @derekblasberg and @jenmeyerjewelry,' Kate told her Instagram fans.

'And let me tell ya, there were some very committed hot messes last night ;) Such fun! Love you guys ?.'

Kate's words were accompanied by a funny snap which sees the A-lister and her mates rocking some pretty dodgy ensembles.

The usually perfectly polished celeb sports a messy mane of hair and shows off a bright pink thigh-skimming dress featuring saucy cut-outs down either side.

Kate's full outfit - which included neon fishnets, a fluffy cream jacket, a patterned bikini top and a baseball cap - was revealed in another shot.

The Almost Famous star completed her costume with luminous nail varnish and smoky eye make-up.

Even though she totally pulled it off, we're pretty sure we won't be seeing Kate recreating this, erm, interesting look on the red carpet anytime soon.

Gwen Stefani is renown for doing pretty much everything in style, so it was only natural her baby shower received the same treatment over the weekend as the No Doubt frontwoman threw an A-list bash to celebrate her third pregnancy.

The VIPs were as prominent as the baby blue theme as Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie, Chelsea Handler and Kate Beckinsale arrived laden with gifts to toast the style maven's bump.

With a celebrity guestlist as impressive as Gwen's, it meant the gorgeous 44-year-old had to put on a seriously impressive soiree, so who better to plan her big day than Tinseltown's baby shower expert, Shelli Azoff.

Having thrown Kim Kardshian's extravagant shower, Kris Jenner's BFF landed the job and offered up a day of delights for Gwen and her guests.

Friends and family nibbled on blue-dipped donuts, blue smarties and a chocolate layer cake as they sat among delicate white roses, candles and roaring fires.

The 44-year-old was obviously delighted with her perfectly planned day, taking to Instagram yesterday to share a few select snaps of her shower.

The Hollywood star confessed to joyriding and drinking at just 12, in a special Mother’s Day interview

Jessica Alba may have an angelic face but she reveals her behavior doesn’t always follow suit. In a special interview scheduled to co-inside with Mother’s Day in the US, the A-lister confessed to a somewhat turbulent past telling her mum she previously went joyriding when she was 12.

And that wasn’t the only revelation her stunned mother, Cathy had to suffer, Jessica Alba also admitted to drinking bourbon aged just 11. The actress told her mum on Entertainment Tonight: ‘Remember when I used to steal the car and go to Jack in the Box? We would go get food. Like, that was our activity! But I was, you know, 12.’

She continued to reveal her former wild child years adding: ‘Who was the first boy that I brought over? Santino! We accidentally drank Wild Turkey [bourbon]. How old was I with Santino? Eleven?’

On hearing the news, the only response Cathy could muster was: ‘On air right now you are telling me . . . well, it was so long ago! This is a little shocking that you drank Wild Turkey in sixth grade!’

Jessica Alba has opened up about her 'brutal' post-baby weight loss regime

Jessica Alba has been refreshingly honest about the lengths she went to to lose her baby weight, revealing that she wore a double corset every day for three months.

The mother of two - her daughters are called Honor and Haven - opened up about her 'brutal' regime in an interview with Net-a-Porter's magazine.

'I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it.' Alba, 31, said. 'It was brutal; it's not for everyone.'

The pain was clearly worth it for Jessica, who was seen a few weeks ago flaunting her flat stomach on holiday in St Barts.

Talking about the trip, which she and husband of five years Cash Warren took together, she said: 'It was our first trip in six years that wasn't a work trip.

'I didn't realize how important it was until we got home and I was like "We like each other! We really are best friends."'

The Sin City actress added: 'I knew we were rooting for each other every day and we'd made these two people who are my favorite things on the planet, but having that time just us, it was cool to connect. We both chose the right person.'

Jessica Alba had us running for the gym as she flaunted her perfect beach body in yet another teeny bikini, on the beach in St Barts yesterday.

The actress, who has been enjoying some serious R&R on the Caribbean isle with hubby Cash Warren, and kids Honour-Marie and Haven, showed off a seriously slim stomach as she lazed on the beach and swum in the sea.

Proving she's been hard at work on that washboard tum (our exercise regime is starting now!) Jess showed off her super-slim figure in a purple bandeau bikini and matching printed bottoms.

The beach party, which included Jessica Alba's Hollywood pal Nicole Ritchie, certainly looked like they were having a whale of a time as they larked around on the sand and in the sea.

Later in the day, Jessica and hubby Cash Warren, looking tanned and relaxed, were spotted wandering through the town.

In September 2011, Jessica told American magazine Us Weekly that she was hard at work on getting her beach body back, after giving birth to baby number two, Haven.

'I have a hard time with portion control, so I have 1,200-calorie meals delivered. But I also work out, so basically I’m starving – it sucks. I drink a lot of water.

'To get back in shape, I start by exercising for about an hour a day, then go up to three hours, five days a week, I do a lot of cardio and some core strengthening.'

The actress hit the capital last night to celebrate the luxury label’s 75th year

Jessica Alba was the guest of honour at Salvatore Ferragamo’s 75th Year celebrations in London last night.

And to ensure the brand’s pieces were the centre of attention the star donned a black dress from the fashion house teamed with subtle accessories.

They're two of Hollywood's yummiest mummies, so it was no surprise to see Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie lead the style charge at the first ever annual Baby2Baby Gala this weekend in Los Angeles.

The duo, who are both ambassadors for the organisation that supplies families in need in the city with essential baby clothing, both opted for full-on glamour in co-ordinating floor-sweeping pink gowns.

Jessica, who was honoured at the event, looked beautiful in a blush pink dress with a sheer floral embroidery overlay from Valentino's resort 2013 collection. A white clutch by Roger Vivier, Harry Winston jewels and a sleek bun hairstyle completed the mother of two's gala look.

Film director Robert Rodriguez gives us a first glimpse of Lady Gaga as La Chameleon in Machete Kills

Pop superstar Lady Gaga is set to make her film debut in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, the director has revealed on Twitter.

The singer will join a star-studded cast, including Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana, Vanessa Hudgens, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson, in the action film that's due to hit cinema screens next year.

In a teaser set whet the appetite of film buffs, Rodriguez posted a picuture of Lady Gaga as her character, La Chameleon, on his Twitter page.

The promo shot shows the songstress wearing stockings, lingerie and jewellery with wolf fur draped around her back. Her hair is a vibrant yellow colour and styled in 1940s-inspired waves, and she's holding a smoking pistol.

Rodriguez commented on Twitter: 'I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy smokes. Blown away!'

High praise indeed!

The singer, who has done a spot of acting before in her epic music video mini films, is the latest recruit for the sequel to 2010's Machete, which will see Charlie Sheen play the president of the United States and Mel Gibson as an eccentric billionaire arms dealer.

Jessica Alba played the perfect muse for a luncheon at Fred's, hosted by Barneys New York, yesterday to celebrate fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez's latest shoe collection.

The actress looked stunning in a white bodycon dress by the New York designer, accessorised with a Rodriguez bag and shoes, naturally, as she greeted guests at the soiree and enjoyed a three-course meal.

Talking to WWD, Rodriguez explained: 'Well, it’s an exciting moment for the company, to have our bags and our shoes happening, and here at Barneys. They’re really true to our vision - simple, modern, flattering, comfortable... It’s been so much fun.

'We’ve had our muses coming through and picking out things they like.'

First-time parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z are probably being bombarded with baby advice from everyone in their lives, even so, Jessica Alba has stepped in to offer some tips and tricks of her own.

The 30-year-old actress, and mum of two, Alba, has told the couple to take control of the public's desire to get a first glimpse of their little one.

Jessica and husband Cash Warren decided to sell the first photos of their daughter Honor in 2008 in an attempt to control the paparazzi.

'For our family, we just wanted to control the experience,' Alba told CNN.

The photos were sold to OK! magazine for a reported $1.5 million.

THE ALBA-WARREN FAMILY ALBUM

'We put the money that the picture made into a bank account for Honor to do whatever she wants to do with.

'It's her picture, it's her birth, and we didn't want it to be like a weird thing when we were walking out of the house for the first time.'

Alba told CNN she believes that selling pictures will stop the paparazzi from going to dangerous lengths to snap the first photos of Blue Ivy.

'If there's a price tag on your child - which is so bizarre - people will go to crazy lengths. We wanted to avoid the hysteria,' she added, saying that they had a great experience with OK! using a photographer they knew already.

Jessica was quick to add that she wasn't trying to preach to Bey and Jay-Z, she said: 'To each his own. The biggest thing is having a healthy baby - I'm sure Beyonce will make the best decision for her family.'

To finish of her dramatic look? Impossibly high - and slightly sporty - turquoise heels.

We’ve got to admit, opinions are divided, and we’re not entirely convinced about her latest look.

And we’re not sure Ms Alba was either. Just hours later, the starlet swapped her colourful look for a pair of chic navy trousers and pretty, printed blouse.

Proud mum Jessica Alba has posted a pic of adorable daughter Haven eating her first solid meal.

Jessica shared the intimate snap on her Twitter page, telling fans: ‘Someone’s not really sure how she feels about solids.’

Hands-on mum Alba is pictured feeding her adorable five-month-old daughter, who is sat looking bemused in a high chair.

Haven, who is her second child with husband Cash Warren, is something of a surprise for Jessica, as she previously revealed.

'I really only expected my child to look like Honor,' Alba, referring to her and Warren’s three-year-old daughter, told US magazine People.

'When the two of us made such a different-looking kid it was, like, "Okay, I guess we can do this too!" It was a nice little surprise.'

Also unexpected was Haven’s arrival in the caul, meaning she was delivered inside her amniotic sac.

'Cash said she was born in her safe haven, and so there we had it,' the stunning actress says on choosing the unusual name.

As well as being a doting mum and loving wife, Alba has also found the time to start her own business, The Honest Company, which specialise's in eco-friendly baby products.

AND she still manages to look absolutely gorgeous, as she proved earlier this week, when she stepped out in a leather and lace dress at an Instyle party in Los Angeles, having sprung back to her pre-baby body already.

Jessica Simpson, who is currently pregnant with her first child tweeted: 'New goal: look like @jessicaalba after baby. Job well done lady!'

With three-year-old daughter Honor in tow, the family of four enjoyed breakfast at Dominick's Italian restaurant in West Hollywood.

It's the first time the newborn baby has been pictured since she was born 13 August.

Until now Jessica has made sure Haven has been covered up when out to hide her from photos.

Haven, who was tucked up fast asleep in a baby carrier, was a ‘surprise’ to Alba, who has revealed the tot looks a lot like she did as a child.

Jessica told American magazine People: ‘She looks like me when I was a baby, with the same features.'

The 30-year-old actress said she had been expecting her new baby to look like Honor, who has her father’s features. She said, 'when the two of us made such a different-looking kid it was, like, "Okay, I guess we can do this too!' It was a nice little surprise".'

Haven was delivered still in her amniotic sac, which gave Jessica and Cash inspiration for her name. ‘Cash said, ‘She was born in her safe haven’, and so there we had it.’

Married to Warren since 2008, Alba also hinted that they may have more children in the next few years.

'I just have to feel it out,' she said. 'See how my 30s treat me. I just try to live in the moment.'

The tiny tot was born at a private Los Angeles hospital on Saturday, weighing in at a healthy 7lbs.

Taking to Facebook to confirm baby Haven's birth, Jessica wrote: 'Hi Everyone, Hope you're enjoying the weekend. Cash and I are so excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Haven Garner Warren.’

'She was born on Saturday, weighed 7lbs [3.2kg], and was 19 inches [48cm] long. Healthy and happy! Big Sister Honor couldn't be more excited about the new addition to our family.

Last month, the blooming actress told how three-year-old Honor Marie has been looking forward to becoming an older sibling.

'I think Honor is excited about becoming a big sister,’ she wrote on her iVillage blog. ‘She's getting into this stage now where she gets to do big kid stuff -- and we try to make a big deal out of these little things.'

She went on to say: 'The idea of loving someone as much as I love Honor is something I haven't wrapped my head around yet. But I know I will and I can't wait.'

They may be known for their super-svelte figures, but actresses Jessica Alba, Emily Blunt and Scarlett Johansson were happy pile on the pounds for a hilarious new spoof video, poking fun at American diet commercials, and celebrity diet trends.

DRAMATIC MOVIE MAKEOVERS

The A-list actresses joined a host of other beautiful famous faces – including newly single Jessica Biel, Heidi Klum, January Jones, Amanda Seyfriedand Marissa Miller – to promote the ‘Hottie Body Jim-Miracle diet’ in the skit, filmed for Jimmy Kimmel’s US chat show.

During the fake commercial, Kimmel claims to remove up to 80 per cent of each meal’s calorie’s – by eating most of the food himself, before it is delivered to the client. 

Donning a fat suit for a before and after photo, Scarlett Johansson claims to have ‘hired a ninja to slap the food out of my hand before I could eat it,’ as part of the fake diet, which helped her lose ’63 pounds,' while Emily Blunt claimed she had 'swallowed a tape worm' in an effort to stay thin before the diet.

Amanda Seyfried is on hand to demonstrate how the day the diet works in the five-minute video, and Victoria’s Secret model Marissa Miller shows off the effect, by posing with (identical!) before and after shots of herself.

Actor Neil Patrick Harris is even roped in to explain the ‘science bit’ of the special plan, sending up methods used in real American diet commercials.

‘Fattening foods are subjected to powerful slimming forces which strip away 80 per cent of the carbohydrates, proteins and fats and divert them directly into Jimmy's stomach, where they are digested,’ he explains. 

'The result is a total de-fatisation by 80 per cent!'

Mum-to-be Jessica Alba showed off her burgeoning baby bump over the weekend, during a day out with seriously cute two-year-old daughter, Honor Marie.

The 'thilled' Fantastic Four actress announced she was expecting her second child with hubby Cash Warren earlier this year, posting the happy news to fans on Twitter.

'I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news - Honor is going to be a Big Sister!’ she wrote.

'Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else.

And Jessica's tiny baby bump was just visable as she stepped out and about in LA over the weekend.

Taking advantage of the spring sunshine, it seems Jessica decided to treat little Honor to some mother daughter time, taking a trip to the park, before running some errands in LA.

Dressing her burgeoning baby bump in a loose grey sweater and comfy black trousers, Ms Alba looked positively glowing, and beamed as she and a friend swung her little daughter in the air.

Never one to be outdone in the style stakes, the super-cute tot accessorised her sweet summer dress with a furry cow backpack, and tiny pink shades. Sweet!

Jessica and Cash – who met on the set of action movie Fantastic Four - married in a quiet ceremony in 2008.

Jess joins A-listers Natalie Portman, Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson – who are all expecting children.

Jessica left hubby Cash Warren at home to fly in for the special reading event attended by hundreds of school children, keeping fans updated via Twitter during her trip.

'Just landed in DC with my lil princess. weather is mild -thank goodness,’ she wrote. 'Heading to #readacrossamerica event at Library of Congress in DC. So cool!'

The blooming actress – who is pregnant with her second child - treated children gathered at the event to her favourite Dr Seuss story, The Cat in the Hat, before settling down to listen to other readings with Honor.

Children were also treated to stories from American Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and First Lady Michelle Obama, who embraced spring’s trend for brights in a flowing orange pleated skirt and pink and white printed top.

Mrs O delighted children with her chosen Dr Seuss story - to mark the author's 107th birthday - smiling, laughing, and acting out some of the parts.

After the event, Jessica Alba treated Honor to some special mother-daughter time, swinging the beaming two-year-old tot around in the sunshine, before jetting back home.

The 'thrilled' Fantastic Four actress announced she and Cash Warren were expecting their third child earlier this month.

Excited Fantastic Four actress Jessica Alba has confirmed she is expecting second child with hubby Cash Warren.

Ms Alba – who was positively glowing as she walked the red carpet at the BAFTAs earlier this week - took to Facebook this morning to announce her happy news to fans.

And the ‘thrilled’ star could not be happier.

'I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news - Honor is going to be a Big Sister!’ she wrote.

'Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else. 

Thanking followers for their well wishes, she added: 'I appreciated all of the love and support you all gave me during my first pregnancy and will definitely appreciate it again this time around.'

Jessica and Cash – who met on the set of action movie Fantastic Four, and married in a quiet ceremony in 2008 – already have one daughter, Honor, two.

Jess joins A-listers Natalie Portman, Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson – who are all expecting children.

Showgoers including Jessica Alba & Blake Lively were treated to a visual feast of floral-inspired designs from John Galliano

It's the week that showcases the most expensive dresses in the world, and John Galliano ensured this season's couture shows went off with a bang last night, with a crowd-wowing Christian Dior collection.

And with guests such as Jessica Alba, Blake Lively and Lily Cole sitting pretty in the front row, you knew you'd be in for something pretty spectacular.

The models walzed down the runway in fantastical designs inspired by all things floral - vivid splashy colours, petal-shaped skirts and collars, ruffled, textured fabrics and hand-painted flower prints.

The finale ball gowns were quite simply, some of the most beautiful pieces we've ever clapped eyes on - with huge, all-encompassing skirts and layers of tulle, draped silk, and ruched taffeta.

Make-up was bold, theatrical with dark plum lips, dramatically lined eyes and fabulous faux lashes, while hairpieces - courtesy of Stephen Jones - were created to look like florists' cellophane wrapping.

John Galliano's veritable 'garden' of creations was staged in a transparent tent in the grounds of the famous Rodin museum in Paris.

Having already been seen with the short bob at the Super Bowl over the weekend, this was the first big red carpet outing for her new barnet - which she wore in tousled waves, with a heavier, side-swept fringe.

Rewind a mere matter of weeks, and Jessica was sporting long blonde tresses, for her role in romcom Valentine's Day - but shortly after filming finished, she reached for the scissors and lost the length, as well as making a return to her brunette roots.

No stranger to the hair makeover, Jessica was seen with long honey-highlighted hair less than a year ago, followed by a brief stint as a fiery redhead.

Lindsay Lohan sends Twitter messages to Jessica’s husband Cash Warren just days after allegations of a 'raw' nightclub smooch.

Should Jessica Alba be worried? Just as reports broke of a nightclub clinch between Lindsay Lohan and Alba's husband Cash Warren, the Mean Girls actress sent a cheeky Twitter message to the man himself.

US magazines reported that Cash Warren and Lohan met at Hollywood nightclub Villa on November 19, where they reportedly shared a 'raw kiss'.

Assistant Director Warren and Lohan are preparing to work on an as-yet-untitled film project  together - and a friend of the actress claims 'She's falling for Cash'.

'Lindsay becomes easily attached to everyone she meets and gets close to.'

A string of friendly Twitter messages from the troubled star to Cash culminated in the the reported nightclub encounter, where partygoers allege: 'They ignored friends and just chatted' for half an hour - before getting closer. Lohan denies the claims.

She said vehemently, 'He is married. I wouldn't dare kiss him'.

'Cash is a business partner. Nothing more, nothing less.'

30 year-old Warren and his wife, 28 year-old actress Jessica Alba, attended a Los Angeles Lakers baseball game together just two days later, possibly in an attempt to display a united front.

This came after the couple spent the day shopping for Christmas trees to impress their 17 month-old daughter Honor Marie.

Instead of letting the gossip die away, however, Lindsay gave further cause for speculation.

She sent Cash Warren a Twitter message saying, 'Are u @ game too? Watching it, wishing I went...'

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren throw belated wedding reception

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren tied the knot on 19 May 2008 in a low-key ceremony with no family present. So the couple thought it fitting to throw a glamorous bash to celebrate – and they finally just got round to it.

Both families joined together at the couple’s Beverly Hills home underneath a set of romantic tents for a formal reception to ‘celebrate their love and commitment to each other’.

Guests were asked to arrive at 7pm, and, soon after, both Alba and Warren spoke about their relationship before turning things over to their fathers, who each expressed happiness over the union of the two families.

Later on, the crowd enjoyed the sounds of a mariachi band.

One partygoer told Us Weekly: ‘There were no tears, just lots of happiness and love. It felt extremely special for everyone.’

How did Jessica Alba lose 25lbs post-baby weight?

Jessica Alba is back to her picture-perfect best after losing 25 lbs - just two months after giving birth to daughter Honor Marie.

And her trainer has revealed her weight loss weapons to People magazine.

'Jessica went from a size 8 (GB 12) to a size 4 (GB 8) pretty quickly,' says her longtime trainer Ramona Braganza.

The actress showcased her new slimline silhouette at the ALMA Awards on 17 August in a stunning baby-pink dress.

The actress has been following Braganza's 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone plan, which is a low-fat, low-carb diet.

The 27-year-old has also been hitting the treadmill and elliptical machine at home, and has resumed her routine of core exercises, cardio and circuit training.

Braganza, who trains Alba six days a week, says: 'The baby always comes first, but Jessica definitely sets goals for herself.'

And working out with a gal pal also helps. 'She loves working out with a girlfriend,' says Braganza, whose client, Jamie King, frequently trains with Jessica.

Braganza added: 'Jessica has made amazing progress in a very short time.'

All the gossip from Jessica Alba's baby shower

Jessica Alba looked happy and glowing as she arrived for her baby shower, which was held in LA yesterday.

In an Isabella Oliver flowing black halter neck dress, the mum-to-be did maternity chic to perfection, showing off her growing baby bump.

The intimate party took place at the Ever After Tea House, with guests that included Jaime King and Kim Kardashian.

Guests enjoyed a menu of tiger shrimp and soft-pulled chicken, white and dark chocolate-dipped strawberries, mini custard tarts and mini eclairs.

The Sin City actress received stacks of baby gifts from her friends and family, which included a cradle, a basket of Dr. Seuss books, clothing and flowers.

Making sure she wasn't the only one to walk away with the gifts, Alba gave every one of the guests a goody bag, provided by organic baby food company Tastybaby, which included recipe books and children's toys.

It is rumoured that Alba is expecting a girl, due in June, although the actress and her partner Cash Warren are yet to confirm.
