Last night, the Grammys returned to celebrate the world's biggest performers and musical releases of the year. With nominees among Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Olivia Dean, Justin Bieber, and many more, it was set to be an unmissable evening. And indeed it was; however, before the evening unfolded, the stars gathered on the red carpet, which proved to be a spectacle in its own right.

Known to be a far more playful affair than the Oscars or Golden Globes, music's biggest night celebrates statement-making, theatrical designs and often a less-serious approach to fashion, as evidenced by Harry Styles presenting the award for Album of the Year in very chic Dior jeans.

This year was no exception, with standout looks coming from Olivia Dean in a corsetted two-toned Chanel ballgown, Lady Gaga in a custom avant-garde feathered gown by Matières Fécales, and, lest we forget, Addison Rae in a monochrome Alaïa dress featuring a bedazzled belly button.

Also making a strong case for red carpet fashion were the men of the evening. Celebrating a history-making win, Bad Bunny graced the carpet in a debut Schiaparelli men's look featuring a corseted blazer, while attending the red carpet with his wife, Hailey Bieber, Justin Bieber opted for a subdued, oversized Balenciaga look, and at the other end of the spectrum, Best New Artist nominee Sombr opted for a dazzling Valentino suit.

Bianca Censori went completely nude on the red carpet at last night’s Grammys. There’s been a quiet chorus of concern for Censori for a while now, but it’s about to reach a fever pitch.

Red-carpet naked dressing is hardly a new phenomenon. Rose McGowan dared to bare back in 1998 and Cher had been doing it long before that. Rose later described her VMAs’ look as “A silent protest”—it was her first public outing since being sexually assaulted—and while fashion doesn’t always telegraph a social statement when someone turns up completely naked, save for a mesh slip, a message will be sent whether the wearer intends to or not.

The message Censori signalled was unease. It’s a feeling shared by onlookers, too.

Bianca Censori wasn’t the only attendee at last night’s Grammys to don a see-through body stocking—Julia Fox wore one over a thong and a tiny bandeau (with a pair of marigolds, naturally). And while Censori’s outfit was the most controversial, I don’t think it was a lack of rubber gloves that made the whole thing so uncomfortable and grotesquely sexual.

Perhaps it was because Censori seemed so reluctant to shed her oversized fur coat that made the whole thing so uneasy. Maybe it was the fact she appeared to undress at the prompting of her husband Kanye ‘Ye’ West (the internet is abuzz with calls for a lip reader to decipher the pair’s seemingly tense exchange), or the fact that she kept tugging at the flimsy mesh hemline, an act so redundant it was painful to watch. I suspect my discomfort—and the collective unease of the internet at large—was an amalgam of all these things.

Censori might very well be a willing and enthusiastic participant in these naked stunts—if you Google her name, ‘outfits’ and ‘before Kanye’ are among the top searches—but we’ll likely never know given her bid of silence. What we do know is that Ye is a provocateur and a man who seems to get off on degrading women.

Long before deep-faking had become part of the public lexicon, West’s 2016 ‘Famous’ video featured a naked Taylor Swift waxwork in bed with him and then-wife Kim Kardashian, and, admittedly a nude lifelike George Bush, amongst others. A legal battle over the song's lyrics—“I made that bitch famous”, in reference to Swift—ensued.

More recently, while Pamela Anderson is being lauded for her role in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl, West posted a now-deleted video of a naked Anderson circa 2008 to ‘tease’ his new album “Bully”. The naked video was overlaid with West rapping the lyric “Hide yo bitch” over and over. These are just two examples in a long list of public controversies.

West also makes a habit of parading around his paramours and taking full creative control over their wardrobes, something campaigners have called out as a sign of coercive control. Both Kim Kardashian and Julia Fox have claimed that West instructed them on what to wear and how to act while wearing it. In an episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney remembers West saying her career was over and likening her to Marge Simpson because he disagreed with her outfit choice at the Wall Street Journal Magazine’s Innovator Awards. In the same episode, Kim spoke of being “so nervous” about wearing an outfit that wasn’t “pre-vetted first”.

West’s sartorial contributions to Censori have mainly involved her going out wearing very little and facing potential jail time because of it. She could also face legal repercussions for last night’s indecent exposure under the California Penal Code 314(1) and the pair was rumoured to have been escorted out. Perhaps this is the pair’s kink, but the visual juxtaposition of a fully dressed West and an exposed Censori is too stark to ignore. What began as quiet concern is reaching a crescendo.

West, for his part, has defended posting his wife in various states of undress on social media. To ‘celebrate’ Censori’s 30th birthday last month, he shared a naked video of her in the bath with the caption “Happy birthday to the most beautiful super bad iconic muse inspirational talented artist masters degree in architecture 140 IQ loving by my side everyday [sic] when half the world turned their backs on me…”

It would be easy to chalk this all down to artist-muse syndrome, as many have. The relationship between artist and inspiration has long been a complicated subject. And perhaps, Censori is one half of a performance duo; a twisted Gilbert and George if you will. She’d join a long line of female artists using their bodies as a medium. Marina Abramović, who West has compared himself to and collaborated with, has long used herself in performance pieces, notably 1974’s Rhythm 0 performance, in which she invited the public to use 69 objects, including chains, a hairbrush and knives, on her body. And yet, even if this theory—which ardent West fans swear by—is true, what exactly is the pair trying to say? And why is Ye the only one doing the talking while his muse stays mute?

At the Grammys, every crevice of Censori was on display, even her sandals were crafted from Perspex with see-through thonged straps. If this is a means of personal expression or an attempt to challenge societal norms around modesty, sexuality, or public boundaries, the message is being lost in the medium.

Sure, it’s statement-making and it’ll spark plenty of online chatter but without a clear artistic or social purpose, it’s little more than that and it diminishes the seriousness of the conversation around body autonomy.

The line between meaningful expression and exploiting shock value for fame has always been thin with West. Now that there’s nothing left of Censori to show, perhaps it’s time they speak up. The fact that everyone else is speaking for them does little to convince concerned parties that we shouldn’t be worried about a young woman who is increasingly known only in relation to her nude body and relationship with an older, famous man.

Questioning the motives of a woman’s fashion choices feels contradictory in a post-feminism era but until Censori says otherwise, all we can go on is what the pair show us—Censori is all we see, yet Ye is all we can hear.

Last night, The Grammys took place in Los Angeles and while all the A-listers were there for the awards, we were keeping an eye on something much more important: the outfits. Proving why it’s one of the best dressed nights of the year, the celebs turned out in force taking to the red carpet in some of the most show stopping gowns we’ve ever seen.

When it comes to red carpet trends, it was a night for maximalism. Dramatic designs were the style du jour with old Hollywood satin and feather gowns proving popular. Sabrina Carpenter's pastel blue custom JW Anderson gown perfectly exemplifies this while we’ve got to applaud Chappel Roan and Lady Gaga for bringing a little fashion theatrics to the occasion.

On the other end of the spectrum, were the more understated, yet not less exciting, looks. Janelle Monae proved suiting always has a place on the red carpet in Area while Miley Cyrus and Olivia Rodrigo both opted for cut out reinventions of the classic black dress.

Last night saw the 2025 Grammy Awards, with A-listers descending from far and wide on LA's Crypto.com arena to celebrate the past year in music. And from the moving tribute to Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires, to Beyoncé's historic album win for 'Cowboy Carter', the 67th annual awards will go down as historic.

The most talked-about moment of the evening however, came from Lady Gaga, with the 38-year-old singer delivering a powerful acceptance speech on-stage.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance with their song, 'Die With A Smile'. And after paying tribute to her music partner, Gaga delivered a powerful message of support to the trans community.

"It’s such an honor to sing for all of you," Gaga told the audience, before announcing: "I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible. Trans people deserve love. The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you."

While Lady Gaga did not comment further, her words come amid a series of executive orders signed by President Donald Trump, threatening the rights of trans people. This includes an executive order that establishes "the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female."

Lady Gaga has spoken out previously since Trump's re-election, vowing to protect marginalised communities.

"I have so much compassion and love for so many people who are afraid today," Lady Gaga told ELLE in the days after Trump's 2024 win. "I want to acknowledge that I’m a very blessed person, and I feel grateful for so much in my life every day. I know for a lot of people, this election was devastating for their existence, so community is going to be the number one thing."

She continued: "I am one of many people who support the [LGBTQ+] communities. And we’re not going down without a fight. We will stick together. It’s going to be hard, but I’m up for it. We’re up for it. And I just want everyone to know how deeply they’re loved and not invisible."

It is unsurprisingly their relationship however that makes the most headlines, with the A-list couple dating since September 2023. And after a busy year “balancing their careers and individual responsibilities”, Swift and Kelce are said to be entering 2025 stronger than ever.

It was the 2025 Grammy Awards that made the couple headlines this week, with reports that Swift and Kelce will not be walking the red carpet together this Sunday.

In fact, according to reports, Kelce will not be in attendance at the upcoming awards show due to a training conflict ahead of the Super Bowl, with Kansas City playing the Philadelphia Eagles on 9 February.

Swift is nominated across six categories at the upcoming ceremony, earning herself nods for best song of the year, best record of the year, best album of the year, best pop vocal and best pop duo performance. Plus, according to the Presenting Academy, the 34-year-old singer will also be appearing on-stage as a presenter during the show.

And while Kelce has not spoken out about his absence, he did open up about his inability to attend the Grammys last year, with this being the second time he has been unable to accompany Swift.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” Kelce explained on The Pat McAfee Show in 2024. “Unfortunately, I’ve got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl we got in a week.”

The 2024 Grammy Awards are officially here, with the 66th annual ceremony taking place this weekend, celebrating the past year in music. 

Yes, from the night's predicted big winners, to some star-studded performances (Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus and Billie Eilish to name a few), the Grammy Awards are all anyone can talk about. 

It was a resurfaced anecdote that got the world talking about the Grammys this morning, with the story behind Jennifer Lopez's 2000 Grammys dress - a look that actually prompted the invention of Google Image search, emerging as the most memorable of all time.

Yes, really, Jennifer Lopez’s red carpet look (the green sheer Versace scarf dress with the belly button plunging neckline) quite literally broke the internet, and is actually responsible for the existence of Google image search.

Let’s not forget, this was a whopping 24 years ago, long before the days of Lady Gaga’s meat dress or Rose McGowan’s topless chainmail outfit. At this point, the most avant-garde red carpet looks to happen were when Justin and Britney wore quadruple denim or when Christina Aguilera showed her midriff.

Needless to say, everyone was talking about J-Lo’s revealing green dress and wanted to see the pictures for themselves.

"At the time, it was the most popular search query we had ever seen, but we had no surefire way of getting users exactly what they wanted: J-Lo wearing that dress", explained Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google. For that reason, he explained "Google image search was born."

When asked about her role in Google image search’s existence by E! News, J-Lo replied, "I heard that, who knew?!", before joking about not being compensated. "I'm a little bit upset about it. I'm sure Versace's in on it as well."

When asked what she would have liked to have got from it, Jennifer Lopez replied light-heartedly, "Just a small part of it…a truck full of money."

The ceremony in 2008 hosted some of the most memorable Grammy moments. Remember Amy Winehouse's performance? You should do, as she fought hard to make it happen. The singer was unable to get a herself a work visa in time, but instead of disappointing her fans, Winehouse performed a set all the way from London. Yes, even though it was 3am.

5. Adele dedicated her award to Beyoncé

Adele won Album of the Year in 2017, for her fan favourite album 25. But, she decided to dedicate it to Queen Bey instead. 

"I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled, and I’m very grateful and gracious, but the artist of my life is Beyoncé," said Adele in her acceptance speech. 

Possibly the sweetest Grammys acceptance speech ever, and definitely one of the most memorable. 

6. Michelle Obama's surprise appearance 

Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance on stage, creating the line up of dreams. 

Joining the stage with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez for the 61st Grammy Awards in 2019, she surprised everyone in attendance, sharing that "music always helped me tell my story."

7. Lady Marmalade live

In 2002, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mya and Lil' Kim opened the boudoir doors on the Grammy stage to sing voulez-vous coucher avec moi? 

The robes, the costumes, not forgetting the vocals - this was equally as incredible as it is memorable. They were joined by the real Lady Marmalade herself, Patti LaBelle.

8. An unexpected pair 

Elton John and rapper Eminem created the most unexpected - albeit memorable - duo and performed together for the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2001. Fans loved the crossover of two very different characters and genres, and it went down a treat.

It has been a whole week since the Grammys and it's still on everyone's mind. Yes, we're no less obsessed with the Sad Affleck memes (and the fact that Jennifer Lopez supposedly said this to her husband without realising they were on camera). And the fact that Taylor Swift and Harry Styles had a cute reunion. And, of course, the former One Direction singer's stage mishap. 

A fair few things have happened since then - Rihanna announced she is pregnant during her Super Bowl half-time performance, and Jennifer Coolidge has finally commented on those Legally Blonde 3 rumours. 

But, back to the Grammys. One A-list table that appeared to be getting a lot of attention on the night was that of Lizzo and Adele. The pair were seated with each other - ahem, icons only - and decided to have their own little knees up. 

During an appearance on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Lizzo revealed that she almost didn't know what to do when she was announced as the winner of the Record of the Year award due to the fact that she'd been secretly necking tequila with Adele.  

She said: "I was so drunk. Me and Adele were drinking so much that we didn't even really know what the categories were at this point.

"We were like, 'Wait. Did they do best new artist?' We didn't even know when it was time and they would just call out names so we were like, 'Smile, smile.' When they called my name I was in total shock because I didn't expect to win at all."

Lizzo added that she snuck in a flask of tequila for herself, plus a white wine for the Someone Like You singer, but continued: "I brought it for Adele and then I drank hers."

Oh dear!

Awards season is well underway, and 2023 has already brought with it some iconic celebrity moments - from Jennifer Coolidge's incredible Golden Globes speech, to Andrew Garfield and Amelia Dimoldenberg's hilariously awkward flirting. 

But the 65th Grammys Award ceremony this weekend was undoubtedly a night to remember, with Beyoncé making history as the biggest Grammys award winner ever and Ben Affleck becoming a surprising highlight thanks to his rather unenthusiastic appearance. 

Oh, and a lip reader has weighed in on what Jennifer Lopez allegedly said to her husband in *that* viral clip. 

However, there is one musician who has been making headlines since the A-listers gathered at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday - Harry Styles. 

As well as picking up the golden gramophone for Album of the Year, the ex-boybander was spotted hugging his former flame Taylor Swift (which sent both fan bases into a frenzy) and enjoying a sweet moment onstage with a 78 year old fan. 

However, his performance of As It Was in a sparkly fringe jumpsuit has also been doing the rounds on social media. 

Harry sang the track from his award winning album, Harry's House, complete with a bevy of backup dancers on a rotating stage. 

But it seems that the floor ended up moving in the wrong direction - and dancers had to quickly adapt the routine to adjust to the mishap. 

Dancer Brandon Mathis said in an Instagram video: "But what you don't know is that the moment the curtain opened and it was time to perform, our turntable started spinning in reverse. Backward. Freaking all of us out on live television, and there was nothing we could do to stop it."

Although he states they had been 'rehearsing this piece perfectly' in the lead up to the show, everyone on stage was forced to carry on when the technical issue arose. 

He said: "In real time, we have to troubleshoot and try to do a complete piece in reverse. Talk about professionalism."

In a now-deleted TikTok video, fellow dancer Dexter Da Rocha explained via Entertainment Tonight: "We rehearsed for 10 days getting down these beautiful formations and sliding off the turntable... and Harry did such a good job integrating into it.

"This whole time we're practicing with the turntable counter-clockwise. We did it loads of times and got it down to the point where we were at dress rehearsal, it was spotless and beautiful."

But when the turntable began spinning in the opposite direction, the dancers were unable to 'get the attention of the technician' due to the fact they were live on television. 

Da Rocha added: "So, to switch all those patterns on the spot, having not even walked in that direction... like it sounds it'd be easy to walk, it's like a treadmill, but I swear to god, since it's circular, it pulls you in different directions and it's such a special type of balance."

Pretty impressive if you ask us!

The Grammys 2023 buzz is still going strong thanks to some historical celebrity moments - whether it was Beyoncé's incredible wins, making her the biggest Grammy winner of all time, or Harry Styles and Taylor Swift's sweet reunion. 

Oh, and then there was this iconic Lizzo moment which her fans are absolutely living for. 

But one A-lister that got some unexpected attention on social media was none other than Ben Affleck. The actor attended the 65th Grammys Award ceremony in LA with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, and while J-Lo was spotted dancing, smiling and having a great time, Ben once again got the meme treatment thanks to his rather unimpressed and unenthused facial expressions. 

Twitter was awash with clips of the Gone Girl actor looking glum, sparking the Bored Affleck meme to add to his library of viral moments (think Stressed Affleck smoking in a doorway, Dunkin Donuts Affleck struggling with his takeaway order, and Sad Affleck looking blankly into the distance during an interview with Henry Cavill). 

However, eagle eyed viewers also noticed that there was a moment between Ben and J-Lo that appeared a little tense. 

The clip, which is currently circulating online, shows Ben whispering something to his wife, with J-Lo appearing a little irked and mouthing something back before he quickly adjusts his posture and sits up before they realise they're on camera. 

Fans were quick to comment on the clip, with one saying: "HER FACE WHEH SHE SAW THE CAMERA LOL."

Another added: "The camera men at the Grammys deserve extra pay. They got all the good shots."

Now, a lip reader has told the Daily Mail what they think the couple were saying to one another. 

They told the publication that J-Lo said: "Stop. Look more friendly. Look motivated."

Ben reportedly replied: "I might."

J-Lo and Ben have not commented publicly about the speculation just yet, but some fans believe that the moment has been blown out of proportion. 

One wrote: "I think he was just flirting with her and she told him to quit it."

So there you have it!

Lizzo's reaction to Beyoncé's arrival at the 2023 Grammys last night may go down in history as one of the most memorable Grammy moments ever.

The About Damn Time star won the Record of the Year award and performed on the iconic stage for every celebrity present, but we bet the best part was spending the evening with her long time idol IRL.

And if her reaction to Beyoncé's arrival is anything to go by, we doubt Lizzo even cared what was inside the luxury goodie bag this year, because Beyoncé.

The Break My Soul singer made history as the biggest Grammys winner of all time at the ceremony last night, and moved the audience with her touching acceptance speech. 

Although Beyoncé arrived just a tad late to the awards ceremony - which is totally fine when you are Beyoncé - her arrival did not go unnoticed. Lizzo's reaction is going viral and it is everything.

Host Trevor Noah stood by Lizzo and Adele's table (celebrity table of dreams?) and announced: "Beyoncé is in the room people". 

As he did, Lizzo reacted just as we all would, jumping out of her seat and trying to see the Queen of music through the crowd. 

As Noah continued to talk about her many nominations, Lizzo's face goes from the shocked face emoji, to pure awe and joy. 

Lizzo has been a long time stan of Beyoncé (aren't we all?) and even dedicated a part of her award to the Crazy in Love singer. Posting a snap of the pair to Instagram, Lizzo captioned it, "I won" - and we're pretty sure she means the photo with Beyoncé is the win.

We still can't believe this is their first official photo together!? But it's now a pretty iconic one.

It was a big night in Los Angeles as celebrities gathered for the 65th Annual Grammys Awards. 

A-listers walked the red carpet in some exceptional pieces - Lizzo wore a stunning red flower cape, Doja Cat donned a black latex Versace dress, and Kim Petras and Sam Smith wore a matching red ensemble. 

While it was a night to remember with Beyoncé making history as the biggest Grammys winner of all time and a performance from the legendary Stevie Wonder, apparently it wasn't enough to keep Ben Affleck entertained and the internet has given him a new meme: Miserable Affleck. 

But making up for Ben's lack of enthusiasm was none other than Taylor Swift. The singer picked up the golden gramophone for Best Music Video for All Too Well: The Short Film starring Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien (the full list of winners here if you want to catch up). 

As well as winning big, it seems that Taylor was also dancing big - and supporting big - as photos of her congratulating Harry Styles on his win have gone viral. 

Taylor dated the former One Direction star for a few months back in late 2012, and it's rumoured that a few of her songs are about their romance, including Style, Out of the Woods and I Knew You Were Trouble. 

While neither of them have gone into a lot of detail publicly about their relationship or if they're on speaking terms now, in 2021 Taylor jumped up to clap for Harry when he won his Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance. 

And it seems that Taylor is still supporting her ex, as she was reportedly one of the only people dancing in her section when Harry performed As It Was at the Grammys last night, according to Page Six. 

A source told the publication that she 'popped right out of her seat' and 'started dancing'. Apparently, she 'danced the entire song' and was 'the only person dancing in her section'. 

Fans are even convinced that the pictures of them congratulating each other also catch them doing a 'pinky promise'. 

How sweet!

The GRAMMYs 2023 was a night to remember, with a red carpet oozing gorgeous glam (looking at you, Harry Styles' rainbow jumpsuit) and Beyoncé making history as the biggest GRAMMYs winner of all time. 

One couple that fans were keen to keep an eye out for was Bennifer. Since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez rekindled their romance almost twenty years after they split, it has sparked a new wave of nostalgic warmth for the now-married pair. 

Of course, J-Lo fans will also know that the whole reason Google images even exist is all down to her iconic green Versace dress that she wore to the ceremony back in 2000. 

While Ben and Jennifer didn't walk the red carpet together, fans did spot them sat at a table enjoying the show. 

However, it's Ben's less than thrilled expressions that have caused him to go viral - and get the miserable meme treatment once again. 

As the camera panned to the couple during Stevie Wonder's performance, J-Lo seemed to be having a lovely time. Ben, however - not so enthused. 

Viewers were quick to snap the moment and add their thoughts on Twitter. 

One wrote: "Ben Affleck would rather be anywhere else than front row at the #Grammys2023."

Another said: "However bad of a day you’re having, I promise you’re not as miserable as Ben Affleck at the Grammys right now."

In reference to the viral pictures of Ben struggling with his doughnut order, one user wrote: "Ben Affleck looks like he’d rather be at Dunkin."

The Gone Girl actor has inspired many an emotional meme over the years, kicked off by the 'Sad Affleck' clip of Ben sat staring blankly during an interview with Henry Cavill - which was later accompanied by Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence. Still hilarious.

There's also the snap of Ben smoking in a doorway looking up to the sky, dubbed Stressed Affleck, and it seems now we have Miserable Affleck to add to the collection.

A-listers from across the globe gathered at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles for the 65th annual GRAMMYs awards last night.

The Golden Globes and the Critics Choice awards kicked off the season of glitz, glamour and A-list appreciation in style. We love it when Brits fly the flag for us abroad, especially when it comes to prestigious awards shows - and next years Grammys is no different.

Adele, who gave us a rare insight into her relationship in August, hasn't just got one Grammy nomination for the 2023 show - but seven. Seven! 

Former boy bander Harry Styles is also hot on her heels, with five nominations at the glitzy US ceremony.

They're not the only Brits who have been recognised in the nominations for the 65th Annual Grammy awards, either. Sam Smith, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Florence & The Machine and the Arctic Monkeys are all nominated too. 

Adele's impressive seven nominations include Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year for her single, Easy On Me, which reached number one in the UK when she released it last October. She's also up for Pop Vocal Album for her album 30, and a nomination for Album of the Year.

The Someone Like You singer has previously picked up a massive 15 Grammys  - which include wins for Album of the Year and Song of the Year. However, if she wins in all her categories this year, she'll have a whopping 22 Grammys in her LA home. 

Might be time to invest in a bigger awards cabinet. 

The iconic singer has previously used her acceptance speeches to talk about the love she has for her own idols, including Beyoncé. She said about the Halo star in 2017: “My queen and my idol is Queen B. I adore you.

“I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humble and very grateful. But the artist of my life is Beyonce. 

"This album for me, the Lemonade album, was so monumental."

So will Adele be taking home a rather heavy handbag this year?

Harry Styles, who is rumoured to be living with his girlfriend Olivia Wilde, has been nominated for pop solo performance, record of the year and music video for As It Was - which really we're not surprised about. His album, Harry's House, has also been nominated for two of the prestigious awards - including pop vocal album and album of the year.

Last year the former One Direction singer won best pop solo performance For "Watermelon Sugar" at the Grammys, however, he's won other Grammys with the band.

Another male UK star Ed Sheeran will also be hoping for a win on the night - with a nomination for best pop duo category for his collaboration on Bam Bam with Camilla Cabello. 

The awards will take place next February at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. 

The Grammys kicked off last night, with A listers gathering at the MCM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to celebrate the very best in music. As well as some epic red carpet looks - ahem, all eyes on you Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa and Lil Nas X - there were some brilliant moments throughout the show, whether it was Donatella Versace styling Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion on stage, or Doja Cat revealing she almost didn't have time to collect her award because she needed a wee. Lol.

However, one of the most poignant and touching moments came when Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky made a virtual appearance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards and urged the world to 'tell our story'.

In a pre-recorded speech, taped in a bunker in Kyiv, he spoke about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He said: 'The war. What’s more opposite to music. The silence of ruined cities and killed people. Our loved ones don’t know if we will be together again. The war doesn’t let us choose who survives and who stays in eternal silence.

'Our musicians wear body armour instead of tuxedos. They sing to the wounded. In hospitals. Even to those who can’t hear them but the music will break through anyway.

'We defend our freedom to live, to love, to sound. On our land we are fighting Russia, which brings horrible silence with its bombs. The dead silence.'

Singer John Legend then performed, joined by dancers wearing the colours of the Ukraine flag as well as musicians, singers and poets from the country.

The Grammys 2023 red carpet has begun and outfits are so extra, they give the Oscars red carpet a run for its money. A-listers have descended upon the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles for the event, and what a turnout it has been. 

Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat and more are just some of the big names attending the ceremony which celebrates the best in music.

Whether on purpose or not, everyone seems to have gotten the fashion memo, since the Grammys outfits seemed to fall into a few of this season's major trends including Barbie pink and 3-D flower appliques. 

Lizzo arrived on the red carpet dressed in an orange cape adorned all over with rosettes, while Doja Cat opted for a one-shoulder black gown. This seems like quite a departure for the star, who often veers on the more maximalist side of things. 

Finally, there were sequins aplenty (as per every red carpet dress code in the world), and Viola Davis took the theme to heart in a gown which featured colour-blocked sequins and additional fringing.

Awards season has started, as the Golden Globes, the BRITS have already taken place and we're still obsessed with the BAFTAs red carpet.

We love awards season, it's the best way to celebrate the entertainment industry, both music and film. For now, all attention turns to the Oscars - and we cannot wait.

But, one thing on everyone's lips when it comes to awards season is 'What is inside the gift bags?' - We have the answer.

When is the Oscars 2022?

For the upcoming 94th Academy Awards, which will take place on 27 March at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, there will be two sets of gift bags; one given to the presenters and the performers at the Oscars, while the other is the Everyone Wins gift bag and goes to all the nominees in the running for an Academy Award.

It has been reported The Oscars Everyone Wins gift bag contains over $100,000 worth of goodies. Mind blown.

However, the Everyone Wins gift bag is not affiliated with The Oscars, and it has been stressed that AMPAS do not sponsor or endorse the brands found in this bag.

Distinctive Assets independently curate the contents of the goody bag with small businesses, and this year will mark the 20th year of doing so, and they have insisted it will be bigger and better than ever before.

Luxury aromatherapy brand, Soul Shropshire, which are based in Telford, has confirmed one of their products will be found inside both the Everyone Wins Oscars goody bag, as well as the performers bag of treats, for the fourth year running.

Founder, Gemma Vujnovic, is "delighted" to have the new limited-edition duck egg blue matte glass featured in the performers goody bag, as well as the Relax reed diffusers in the nominees goody bag.

She said: "I was delighted to be asked to feature Soul Shropshire products in the gift bags again, and it’s amazing to think the stars will be taking a little piece of Shropshire home with them! Gemma founded the brand in Telford, and has revealed the company pride themselves on natural, vegan friendly and sustainable products.

How to watch the Oscars 2022?

Although Ariana Grande received a Grammy Awards snub last night, I think we can all agree she at least won best Grammys outfit award.

The Thank U, Next singer floated down the red carpet in a cloud-like custom couture gown by Giambattista Valli.

Made of layers and layers of grey tulle, the ballgown reportedly measure a whopping 20 feet in diameter.

It's very rare for the designer to do custom orders, so it's quite an honour that he made an exception for Ariana, and the singer was very grateful to say the least.

In fact, her stylist said that she looked so amazing when she first tried it on that he burst into tears, which convinced her it was 'the one'.

Law Roach told E! that 'she was like, "well, this is the dress then."' I totally agree.

The singer kept the grey theme going throughout the night, changing into a grey sating crop top and full skirt, and then a neglige to perform on stage. She also wore a deep green ballgown to pose with fellow celebrities.

She is pulling no punches

This year’s Grammys was a classic. From Michelle Obama’s absolutely iconic Grammys girl squad, and Lady Gaga’s solo disco, to Childish Gambino making Grammy history by winning song of the year and record of the year with This Is America - the first time a rap song has done so.

However, one much less positive Grammy topic that dominated the headlines pre-ceremony was Ariana Grande calling out the Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich on Twitter. The producer had previously told the press that the reason Ari was not performing at the ceremony was due to the fact that she wasn’t able to pull together a performance quickly enough. Ari was not having that, and took to Twitter to set the record straight...

Choice quote? ‘It was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend’. Ouch.

The plot has now thickened, however, with Nicki Minaj calling out the very same producer for alleged bullying. Replying to a tweet by sex and relationships blogger Oloni pondering why Nicki didn’t yet have a Grammy, the multi-platinum-selling rapper responded pretty emphatically, stating that she ‘pissed off the same man Ariana just called out for lying’ and was 'bullied into staying quiet for 7 years out of fear’.

Nicki then promised the fans that she would be revealing the rest of the story on the next episode of her radio show #QueenRadio. According to Variety, Ehrlich has not yet responded to requests for comment.

This isn't the only unpleasantness that Nicki has been exposed to this week. On Sunday, after Cardi B became the first solo female rapper to win a Grammy for a rap album, US TV network BET posted a pretty offensive tweet, referencing the issues that Nicki and Cardi have had in the past.

Nicki's response? To pull herself and her label, Young Money, from the BET Experience shows and award shows in June.

BET swiftly issued an apology, which included the lines, 'Unfortunately, the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written. The post does not reflect how we feel about Nicki. And further does not reflect our company values.'

But what does it all mean?

The 2019 Grammys took place this week, with the 61st Annual Awards seeing Cardi B, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande among others emerge as award-winners.

The action-packed ceremony saw Michelle Obama take to the stage with Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga perform ‘Shallow’ sans Bradley Cooper. But it was Jennifer Lopez’s performance that got the world talking - and for all the wrong reasons.

The 49-year-old was chosen to perform at the Grammys as the headliner of the 60th anniversary tribute to Motown - something that attracted a lot of criticism, even before the awards took place, due to her Latina background. In fact, a lot of online viewers were offended by her lead participation in the tribute, questioning why she was given the accolade above a black artist.

‘People who could’ve done the Motown tribute - Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, Jennifer Hudson, Tina Tuner, or practically anyone else,’ tweeted one viewer. Another posted: ‘No shade, J-Lo is truly a great artist, but let’s be real, this wasn’t her performance to give. Plenty of other black artists could have been given this platform and moment and we need to acknowledge that.’

‘I don’t think anyone who is intelligent is upset,’ her fellow Motown performer Smokey Robinson told Variety about her involvement. ‘I think anyone who is upset is stupid. Motown was music for everybody. Everybody. Who’s stupid enough to protest Jennifer Lopez doing something for Motown?’

After the Grammys performance alongside Smokey, Ne-Yo and Alicia Keys, the criticism continued, something that the J-Lo chose to ignore, saying of her performance to Entertainment Tonight: ‘I could cry. It’s such a good moment. It was for my mom. It’s just a dream come true. Singing up there with Smokey Robinson, like, I gotta pinch myself. I grew up on all those songs and because my mom loved him so much she passed him on to us.

‘The thing about music is that it inspires all,’ she explained. ‘Any type of music can inspire any type of artist. You can’t tell people what to love. You can’t tell people what they can and can’t do, what they should sing or not sing. You gotta do what’s in your heart.’

When asked what she had to say to her critics, J-Lo replied classily, telling Entertainment Tonight: ‘I’m just very humbled and honoured to be able to have sung those songs.’

A Star Is Born is one of the most talked about films this awards season, with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper both receiving Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for their performances. While Bradley recently admitted that he was 'embarrassed' by the Academy Awards snub (he wasn't shortlisted for the Best Director award), the pair have been taking it all in their stride and enjoying the film's success.

So when it came to the Grammys and the BAFTAS - which both fell on the same evening - the duo decided split responsibilities considering they were both up for a number of awards at each event. Bradley flew over to London, and Gaga stayed in LA.

But she took to Twitter to share an emotional message about missing the BAFTAS, where she was nominated for the Best Actress Award, telling fans: 'I can’t believe we just won Best Original Music @BAFTA's. I wish so much I was there but am at the Grammy’s to show them our love as well. We made a film about music. This means the world to me. Thank u to all our fans we love u so much, we wouldn’t be here without u #BAFTAs.'

She might not have made it across the pond, but she was definitely living her best life over at the Staples Center. How do we know? One onlooker managed to get a video of Gaga doing some very impressive solo dancing and it's an absolute mood.

While a list of notable celebrities were absent from this year's Grammy Awards, one star who was very much present was the beloved Cardi B. The singer, who is set to perform at the awards, was not only there... she was THERE. Dressed in a unique pink and black ensemble, Cardi made quite the entrance and posed up an absolute storm on the red carpet with her partner Offset.

Shortly after her first appearance, the inevitable memes started flooding in on Twitter, comparing Cardi's dress to everything from a coffee filter to a tower of Forrero Rocher's. Yep, for real.

In actual fact, Cardi was actually coveting 1995 Mugler Couture, and whether you liked or loathed, it was certainly a look.

How do we join?

Alicia Keys hosted this year's Grammy awards, and one of the first presenters she introduced to help her out? Well, it was the girl squad of actual dreams.

To the internet's sheer delight, Michelle Obama stepped out hand in hand with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Jennifer Lopez before the first few awards. The four joined Alicia to share positive messages of empowerment on stage.

While each of the women talked about music and empowerment, it was Obama's speech that was met with most rapturous applause.

“Fom the Motown records I wore out on the South Side to the Who Run the World songs that fueled me through this last decade, music has always helped me tell my story, and I know that’s true for everybody here,” she proudly told those watching.

She continued: “Whether we like country or rap or rock, music helps us share ourselves, our dignity and sorrows, our hopes and joys. It allows us to hear one another to invite each other in. Music shows us that all of it matters — every story within every voice, every note within every song, is that right ladies?”

Naturally, Twitter went absolutely crazy for the girl squad, asking what we are all thinking: HOW DO WE SIGN UP?!

The Grammys red carpet is officially underway and the ceremony will soon be starting. But you may have noticed that some of your favourite stars are missing from the Grammys this year. Ariana Grande? Can't seem to spot her. Beyonce? Nope. Taylor Swift? Nowhere to be seen. So er, why?

Well, there are a bunch of different reasons why loads of our favourite musicians most likely will not be around this year, starting with timing conflicts and ending with disagreements with the Grammys' big bosses.

Ariana Grande, for example, will not be there due to a disagreement she had with Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich. When Ehrlich told press that the reason she would not be performing is because she wasn't able to put together a performance quickly, Ariana took to Twitter to call him out, claiming the real reason she wouldn't be there is that her creativity had been 'stifled':

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, will not be present due to her current schedule; the star is currently in London shooting Cats. According to Chrissy Teigen's Twitter feed, her and John Legend were staying home rather than attending, too.

Then there were the stars who allegedly just straight up didn't want to go. According to The New York Times, both Drake and Childish Gambino were both asked to perform but declined (it is unclear whether they will still attend), and Justin Timberlake and Ed Sheeran have not attended for a while after previous award snubs.

Similarly, Time claims that Beyonce isn't likely to show after a 2017 snub, and predict Rihanna may be absent also as she is currently focussing on her beauty empire and has not released new music recently.

While we're sure the show will still be great, all these absentees beg the question: are the Grammys sort of, well, over?

A gold Grammy award is great company, but Rihanna had another hot date to afterparty for music’s big night.

The 29-year-old songstress was spotted leaving 1Oak Nightclub in New York City shortly after her rumoured boyfriend, Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel, on Sunday night. The duo partied until the early morning hours, with Jameel heading home around 3:45 a.m. local time and Rihanna leaving the club shortly after.

Rihanna, who joined Kendrick Lamar on stage to accept the award for best rap/sung performance for their collaboration Loyalty. at Sunday’s show, was still rocking her third look of the evening, a gold crop top that tied in the front. She paired the ensemble with bold purple eye shadow and gold jewellery, including a choker necklace.

Jameel kept things casual in a gray t-shirt and black hoodie.

The pair were first linked in June, when they were spotted kissing in Spain during the Wild Thoughts singer’s vacation. Their jet-setting romance also saw them dining at the same London restaurant in September and taking on Boston in October.

'They were super chill,' a source at STRIP by Strega at the Boston Park Plaza, where the rumoured couple dined, told PEOPLE at the time. 'She was super nice, relatively quiet.'

On Halloween, Rihanna was spotted with Jameel and a group of friends grabbing dinner and going bowling in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a source telling PEOPLE the two were spotted 'canoodling all night.'

Hassan is an heir to the Abdul Latif Jameel business dynasty of Saudi Arabia. The company owns the right to sell Toyota Motor vehicles in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries (among other ventures) and Hassan serves as the president of the charitable organization within the company, Community Jameel.

Rihanna also sparked rumors of an engagement last month when she rocked a sizable diamond on that finger to Chris Rock’s show at Madison Square Garden in New York City. However, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the Doyle & Doyle antique brown diamond cluster ring is not linked to an engagement.

If you thought Beyoncé's make-up look for this year's Grammys looked hella expensive, you couldn't be more wrong. Surprisingly enough, there were actually several bargain beauty brands at play here.

Featuring some L'Oreal and YSL, the majority of Beyoncé's look for the night comprised of none other than cult millennial brand, Glossier.

'We wanted to make a major impact on Grammys night,' says Queen B's make-up artist Sir John. 'The inspiration was Black Panther and I'd describe the beauty look as 'rebellion'. She is wearing a large hat, sunglasses and strong hair so I wanted the make-up to complement that.'

The look in question consisted of a flawless base, defined brows and bold purple lipstick, complete with ALL the accessories. Read on for every beauty product used on the First Lady of music, as told by her MUA.

Base

'I wanted her skin to look flawless but not overdone, so I used Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint, £20, in Dark and Deep. I then used Skin Tint in Rich to contour.'

'I'm loving a coral blush at the moment as it really brightens up the complexion. I blended Glossier Cloud Paint, £15, in Beam then added Haze to the countoured areas for extra dimension. I finished the complexion with L'Oreal True Match Lumi Liquid Glow for a fresh, natural look.'

Eyes

'I kept with the Black Panther theme for her eyes and did a natural, feline flick cat eye. I lined under the eye using a brown kohl eyeliner, and used a fierce black inky liquid eyeliner on top.

'To finish off the eye, I was lucky enough to be one of the first people try a new and exciting product from glossier – stay tuned to hear more but I LOVED using it on Bey all weekend.'

Brows

'I groomed and shaped Beyoncé's brows using Glossier Boy Brow in Brown (£14). Her brows are super accentuated, as she is wearing sunglasses throughout the ceremony, so I wanted them to look super strong.'

Lips

'We finished the look with a super strong magenta black lipstick. I used YSL Tatouage Couture Lip Stain (£29, Boots) and it offset the soft fresh cheeks and eyes perfectly.'

Body

'Tonight Beyoncé was showing some skin so I wanted her skin to have a luminous glow all over. I started by using Glossier Body Hero Daily Perfecting Cream (£18) to hydrate the skin, and then finished with L'Oreal True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator for an extra glow.'

Just when you thought Glossier couldn't get any more popular...

Blue Ivy may be just six years old, but she’s already calling some shots in the Carter clan.

The First Family of music turned heads on Sunday as they attended the 2018 Grammy Awards together, and it seems little Blue had to keep her superstar parents, Beyoncé and JAY-Z, in line.

Footage from the ceremony showed the little girl motioning for her parents to quiet down as they applauded while Camila Cabello gave a moving speech. As the couple — who welcomed twins in June — clapped, Blue was shown putting up her hand and gesturing toward both her mother and father.

‘Blue let them know who’s REALLY in charge here,’ one Twitter user wrote in response to the clip of the adorable incident.

Another tweeted, ‘THIS VIDEO BLUE TELLING BEYONCE AND JAY-Z TO STOP CLAPPING SO SHE COULD LISTEN TO CAMILA TALK IS ALL I NEED IN LIVE [sic].’

At the show, little Blue rivalled last year’s look in a chic white ruffled coat, matching trousers and sparkling silver shoes.

JAY-Z, who was nominated for eight awards, looked dashing in an all-black suit, while Beyoncé wore a high-neck black velvet gown featuring cut-out shoulders and a solo front panel, finishing the look with shoulder-length earrings, dark shades, a large black hat and purple lipstick.

The 48-year-old rapper was up for album of the year for 4:44, plus best rap album, song of the year, best rap song, record of the year, best rap/song collaboration, best music video and best rap performance.

The couple’s oldest child manages to steal the spotlight every now and then. Recently, she showed off her rapping skills on Blue’s Freestyle, a cut from JAY-Z’s 4:44 album.

Just as one may expect from the daughter of a pair of music moguls, Blue rapped: ‘Everything everything this is my only single thing/Everything I hear is my answer/And if you think I say, then innocent if I say?/ I never hear that, I be in the posse.’

Blue has been featured heavily in her father’s work, and most recently appeared in his Family Feud music video, along with her mother and several other A-list stars.

The 60th annual Grammy Awards, hosted by James Corden, were broadcast live on CBS from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

And there are some big surprises…

The 60th Grammy Awards are officially in sight, taking place on January 28th 2018, with James Corden chosen to host the Grammys. The Grammys nominations 2018 were announced yesterday and there were a lot of surprises with some new additions (call out to Kesha) and many-a high profile name absent from the list.

It looks like Despacito and Jay-Z are having a good year but Taylor Swift's comeback didn't seem to put her in good steed for Grammy nominations and it's bad news for Ed Sheeran too who only features slightly on the list.

The Grammys 2o17 was a night to remember (but we'd expect nothing less). In case you missed it, these were the most memorable moments from last night's ceremony...

James Corden killed it with his presenting

He 'fell over', he rapped, he displayed mean tweets about himself on the screen; James Corden did a pretty good job at hosting his first ever Grammys.

He even managed to get a whole host of celebrities to perform an ad hoc Carpool Karaoke of Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline – complete with a giant cardboard car, of course.

We completely understand why the USA has fallen in love with James Corden, too.

Adele snapped her award in half for Beyoncé

Adele was awarded Album of the Year for her third album, 25. In an emotive speech, the Hello singer thanked everyone around her but said that she could not accept the award.

'It took an army to make me strong and willing [to make an album] again, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart' she began.

'But I can't possibly accept this award – and I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful and gracious – but my artist of my life is Beyoncé and this album for me, the Lemonade album, was just so monumental. Beyonce, it was so monumental and so beautiful and soul-bearing, and we all got to see another side to you that you don't always let us see, and we appreciate that, and all us artists here adore you.

'You are our light and the way you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you, I always have and I always will.'

Adele later broke her Grammy in half for Beyoncé, adding back stage: 'I thought it was her year. What the f*ck does she have to do to win Album of the Year?' The Independent reports.

Beyoncé freaked everyone out with a daring stunt

As usual, Beyoncé gave a completely show-stopping performance.

Dressed from head to toe in gold, she sang two songs from her most recent Album Lemonade; Love Drought and Sandcastles. Watching from the crowd, Jay Z was clearly super proud of his wife.

Everyone from the audience to viewers at home were on the edge of their seats when it came to that stunt – clearly Beyoncé was never told off for tipping on her chair at school.

We're pretty glad we weren't the person in charge of health and safety on the night...

Rihanna was all of us drinking from a hip flask

Positive proof that even the A-list like to sneak booze in to fancy events; Rihanna was spotted swigging out of a glittery hip flask during the Grammys, appearing to say 'I think it's time for another shot.'

Good old Ri-Ri.

Katy Perry got very political

Never afraid to voice her political opinions, Katy Perry performed her new song Chained to the Rhythm while wearing a 'PERSIST' armband, a Planned Parenthood badge and a trouser suit that was likely a Hillary Clinton reference. She was joined on stage by the late Bob Marley's grandson, Skip.

At the end of her performance, the beginning of the US constitution was displayed behind Katy and she shouted 'no hate!'

Katy Perry wasn't the only one to get a little bit political during the Grammys.

In her speech, Jennifer Lopez referenced a quote from Toni Morrison, written in 2004 for The Nation: 'This is precisely the time when artists go to work. There is no time for despair, no place for self pity, no need for silence, and no room for fear.

'We do language. That is how civilisations heal.'

Adele restarted her tribute performance of George Michael's Fastlove

Adele also performed, honouring the late George Michael who died at the end of last year.

In true Adele fashion, she dropped an f-bomb live before asking to start her performance from the beginning. 'I'm sorry, I can't mess this up for him, I'm sorry, I can't' she said.

We’re pretty much in the thick of Awards’ season and last night we had, not one, but two starry affairs on either side of the pond: the Baftas in London and the Grammys in Los Angeles. The biggest names in music came together on the Grammys red carpet 2017 and naturally, show-stopping gowns were the order of the day.

James Corden hosted the star-studded event, taking over from LL Cool J who kept everyone entertained at last year’s event. Beyoncé added to her Grammy collection, picking up her two awards for the Best Video (Formation) and Best Urban Contemporary Album (Lemonade). Adele was the winner of the evening and went home with five awards, including the coveted Album of the Year. Drake won Best Rap Song with Hotline Bling and Solange won the Best R&B Performance for Cranes in the Sky.

But what about all the action on the Grammys red carpet 2017?

The highlights of the red carpet were Solange who stunned in a custom Gucci gown and later changed into a floaty number to receive her award. Adele was another of the night’s attendees in an olive green Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown whilst Jennifer Lopez wore a lilac Ralph & Russo dress.

While Beyoncé didn’t do the red carpet, she slayed pregnancy style showing off her bump in two pretty fabulous looks, which included a golden ethereal creation by Peter Dundas which was an exciting first look at Dundas’ eponymous line. She later wore another Peter Dundas dress, this time a form fitting bright red gown with plunging neckline.

With such an impressive turn out there was bound to be a few trends from the night:

Ladies in Red

Red proved the most popular colour choice of the evening with Beyoncé, Charli XCX, Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill all opting for the brilliant hue.

Green and Gold

Khaki, emerald and golden olive green were the second most popular shades of the evening. Celine Dion, Adele and Solange all rocked the look.

Beauty

Solange's super simple eyeliner stole the show.

All that Glitter's

Whilst glitter was the most popular beauty trend on the red carpet and came in all forms, it was also about metallics. Lady Gaga's smoky eye saw sweeps of golden glitter, Rose McGowan's golden foil hair-do had everyone talking and Lea Michele's flickering of silver specs added suitable sparkle.

Grammys 2017 date

The 59th annual Grammy awards will be held on the evening of Sunday 12th February at the Staples Centre Los Angeles, California.

It all kicks off at 8pm EST (4am UK time).

Where can I watch the Grammys 2017?

The Grammys will be aired live on CBS, but if you can't be bothered to stay up all night the highlights will be on 4 Music the next day.

Grammys 2017 hosts

James Corden is the host of this year's ceremony, taking over from LL Cool J, who has hosted the last five Grammy Awards. It's worth noting that he's the first ever British Grammys host.

When the news was officially announced in 2016, Corden said: 'I am truly honoured to be hosting The Grammys next year. It's the biggest, most prestigious award show in music and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night.

Grammys 2017 Performers

Currently Adele, John Legend, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Daft Punk and Alicia Keys are all confirmed as performing this year's Grammys.

It's also rumoured that Beyoncé will take to the stage on the night, her first performance since she announced she and Jay-Z will be welcoming twin celebrity babies into the world this year.

But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you - you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.’

Beyoncé Queen Bey’s sticking with a style she knows well in this Proenza Schouler plunge gown. Look a little closer to really appreciate the exquisite embellishment within the sheer black lace gown.

Kim Kardashian Kim turns this gilded granny cardigan by Jean Paul Gaultier Couture into a flesh-flashing, uber-embellished, Grammy-worthy dress. The chainmail dressing gown must have weighed a ton, so she’s worked it with a brand new bob to lighten the load.

Katy Perry There’s a lot going on here. Chandelier earrings and a new lilac rinse – and that’s before we even mention Katy’s uber-embellished Zuhair Murad dress.

Gwen Stefani The cage bodice of this Atelier Versace jumpsuit looks way better on Gwen than it did on the runway. Props to Ms Stefani for making the look her own by rolling the trousers to an ankle grazing length and teaming with her style signatures – a hugeee quiff and sharp pointed pumps.

Haim Leave it to the Haim sisters to bring the cool factor to the red carpet. The girls avoid frou frou frocks in favour of slick tuxedos and fringed midi-dresses. Good work.

Rita Ora Rita’s gone ice-queen with a new platinum crop to match her sequin-blitzed Prada column gown. Smokey eyes and heavy metal Lorraine Schwartz ear cuffs add even more edge.

Madonna Madge worked not one, but two matador-themed Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci ensembles at the Grammys this year – a fair effort by anyone’s standards. She showcased her strong bod (and flashed a lot of bum) in her corset and fishnets combo, teamed with thigh high boots and a veiled velvet Montera hat. Sam Smith Won The Grammys… As in the whole thing. Sam scooped four awards - Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Vocal Album – before taking to the stage with Mary J. Blige to perform a stunning version of Stay With Me. He paced his acceptance speeches well and even did an Adele when he thanked the man who broke his heart, ‘cause it got me four Grammys.’ Aw.

Let’s Talk More Duets...  As well as the aforementioned, we saw Usher and Stevie Wonder join forces for If It’s Magic, Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney sang FourFiveSeconds and Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine got totes emosh as they belted out My Heart Is Open. The show ended with an ethereal Beyonce singing Take My Hand, Precious Lord, followed swiftly by Common and John Legend performing Glory. What. A. Night.

Madonna’s Thigh Muscles Rocked  We need to talk about her Madgesty. Looking as toned as ever, Madonna was tossed around the stage by a troupe of male dancers as she wore fishnet tights and performed new single Living For Love. None of this surprises us very much at all.

Kristen Wiig Performed Chandelier Yes Kristen! Lifting the mood completely, Ms Wiig teamed up with Dance Moms star Maddie and (possibly) Sia herself to spoof the Chandelier video, wearing a nude leotard, naturally.

Katy Perry and Rihanna’s friendship has hit a rough patch, if recent reports that Katy put in a special request not be seated near Rihanna and Chris Brown during the Grammys are to be believed.

RUSSELL BRAND: KATY PERRY WAS PERFECT

Reports of a rift between the former best friends initially emerged in October when Rihanna reunited with Chris Brown, who is currently on probation for an assault on the star in 2009. And such claims appear cemented after the events at the Grammys earlier this month.

The girls’ decision not to sit together as they had done previously is further proof things have fizzled out. A source told USmagazine.com: ‘They aren’t tight anymore because Katy doesn’t approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown.’

At this year’s Grammys Rihanna cuddled up to Chris Brown while Katy and her beau John Mayer sat elsewhere. The last time Rihanna and Katy were seen together was at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

As Jennifer Lopez’s leg takes centre stage at the Grammys, we discover what it takes to have thighs as lean as hers

As Jennifer Lopez took to the Grammys red carpet there was only one thing we could focus on –her incredibly toned leg. Of course the star showcased her stunning stems with a thigh-high split but it’s a move that’s certainly inspired us to do some squats!

We spoke with fitness expert, Gillian Reeves, Virgin Active’s National Group Exercise Manager, who explained exactly what Jennifer Lopez would have to go through in order to achieve such muscle definition.

Gillian told us: ‘Jennifer Lopez has a body many women admire and her running workouts make sure she looks great on the red carpet.

‘She has clearly worked hard on her fitness regime to achieve the muscle tone. Dancing is great cardio exercise that burns fat and combined with some strength based conditioning exercises, this will help achieve a similar shape to your legs.’

And it gets better, Gillian tells us we wouldn’t need to spend long hours in the gym to achieve the same look, she added: ‘Make sure you get three sessions of cardio activity a week as well as two strength sessions such as Zumba.

Of course you won’t transform into Jennifer immediately, but GIllian also suggests you try out the tight rope lunge exercise that conditions your thighs and bottom.

Step-by-step guide to the tight rope lunge:

1. Start with your right foot forwards and imagine you are standing on a tight rope; your left foot should be directly behind your right. Lift up onto the balls of your feet and find your balance; your core muscles will automatically contract. 2. Take two steps forwards as if you were walking along a tight rope, first with your left leg and then with your right. Take another step forwards with your left leg but this time make it a bigger step; aim to make a gap of about a meter between your left and right foot (this will vary slightly depending on your height). 3. Place your left heel on the ground, keeping your back heel lifted and bend both knees into a lunge. Aim your right knee straight downwards so that it hovers an inch above the floor. Keep your chest lifted so that your body is upright and look straight ahead to help keep your balance. 4. Stand up straightening your legs in one quick, powerful movement and rise up onto the balls of your feet again. Repeat the two steps and lunge starting with your right leg first. 5. Repeat the exercise until you have done 20 repetitions (10 on each leg) take a small rest, then turn round and come back the way you came with the same exercise for another 20 reps.

Now all we need is Jennifer Lopez’s wardrobe and we could practically be her double… ok, maybe not.

In what is undoubtedly the biggest night for the music industry, 2013's Grammy Awards, taking place on 10 February in LA, will pin established pros like Kanye West and Jay-Z alongside strong new contenders like Frank Ocean, Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons and fun. - each nominated for six Grammy Awards apiece - as they vy to take home the most accolades of the evening.

The nominations announcement came in concert form from Nashville on Wednesday, where co-hosts Taylor Swift - looking dainty in a cream lace mini-dress - and LL Cool J took to the stage to perform with nominees including fun. and Maroon 5's Adam Levine.

The nominations for the 2011 Grammy Awards were announced last night at a glittering Hollywood bash, and our very own Brit girl Adele did very well indeed.

Kayne West, already a 14-time Grammy Award winner, led the pack with seven nominations for both his solo work and collaborations with Jay-Z.

However, Adele - whose album 21 is the biggest selling of 2011- and Bruno Mars also scored big with six nominations apiece, including nods for the three big awards of album, song and record of the year.

During last night's star-studded show a dazzling Katy Perry, wearing a gorgeous strapless pink lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana, took to the stage to announce the Album of the Year nominations, a particularly fierce category where Adele will find herself up against Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

The late singer Amy Winehouse also received a nomination for her last ever song, a duet with Tony Bennett.

LL Cool J hosted the televised show in Los Angeles which saw performances from Lady Gaga, Usher, Ludacris and country singers The Band Perry.

Rihanna, who also has nods for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song, had her performance of 'We Found Love' beamed in from London's O2 Arena.

Other leading contenders for the major music industry awards show include Foo Fighters, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Mumford and Sons, Chris Brown amongst a whole host of others.

Winners in all 78 categories will be announced at the 54th annual Grammy Awards ceremony on 12 February.

After shocking fans by arriving at the music awards in an egg, now Gaga has revealed how she prepared for the event

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way single hit airwaves last Friday, and it seems the star is prepared to go to any lengths to launch her latest track. Earlier this week the outlandish singer arrived at the star-studded Grammy awards in a giant egg, and now it’s been revealed she spent three days in a coffin, in preparation for the big event.

We’ve come to expect all kinds of weird and wonderful performances from the Gaga we know and love. But Sunday’s scene-stealing entrance at the Grammys – where she arrived cocooned in the Hussein Chalayan-designed egg, and hatched live on stage – floored us all.

Now it’s been revealed just how seriously Gaga is taking her 'rebirth' after her creative director revealed she’d spent three days in a mesh covered coffin 'incubating' in preparation for the event.

‘She was incubating and, in birthing the new race, she had to go through a DNA transition, so before she was born we had to actually transfer her in a mesh box to keep the process going,’ her creative director, Laurieann Gibson explained.

Right then.

Yesterday, the starlet made an appearance on the American Jay Leno show, sporting bizarre facial horns, spiked shoulders and a ghoulish new look.

Oh Xtina. Just one week after fluffing her lines during a high profile Super Bowl performance, the songstress tripped on stage

We can’t help feeling just a tiny bit sorry for Christina Aguilera this morning. Just one week after fluffing her lines during an appearance at the famous American Super Bowl concert, the songstress took a tumble on stage, while performing at the Grammy Awards.

Christina was appearing with Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride, Florence Welchand gospel singer Yolanda Adams, in a tribute to songstress Aretha Franklin, when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Continuing her run of bad luck, the starlet lost her footing and slipped towards the end of the song – an otherwise glittering rendition of Sisters Are Doin' it for Themselves.

Luckily, Brit starlet Florence Welch was on hand, and quickly helped flustered Miss Aguilera to her feet, as the girls were given a standing ovation for their performance at the prestigious awards.

Last week the embarrassed starlet was forced to apologise to fans, after getting the words to the National Anthem wrong, during a performance at the Super Bowl.

As 100 million viewers watched on, the 30-year-old superstar sang the incorrect lyrics: 'Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming.'

What she should have sang was: 'Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.' Oops.

Katy Perry laid rocky relationship rumours firmly to rest during her glittering Grammys performance yesterday, showing off never-seen-before shots of her and hubby Russell Brand on their wedding day.

Katy played the footage of the intimate Indian wedding ceremony during a show-stopping performance of upcoming hit, Not Like The Movies.

Never one to disappoint, Katy began her Grammys set by being lowered on to the stage on a giant, sparkling swing, bedecked with hundreds of fairy lights.

And that’s not all. Ms Perry began her performance to a background of her lavish Indian nuptials, which were projected onto swathes of white netting, hung in the background.

The footage showed the private pair – who have kept all pictures of their wedding under wraps, until now – exchanging vows and rings, before kissing.

The grainy shots also showed Katy in full wedding day attire - a sweeping, full-length gown and flowing train - clutching a small white bouquet of flowers. 

Katy and Russell blasted reports of relationship trouble out of the water at the ceremony, putting on a show of unity on the red carpet.

The happy couple beamed for the cameras, even indulging in a steamy smooch, oblivious to onlookers.

The actress will take to the stage with Cee Lo Green at this month's glittering Grammy Awards

Gwyneth Paltrow's musical ambitions are showing no sign of waning - after performing live at last year's Country Music Awards and scoring a guest spot of TV's most melodic show, Glee, now the songstress has signed up for the biggest gig of her life, the 2011 Grammys.

Considered the Oscars of the music industry, Gwyneth will team up with Cee Lo Green, an artists she's been closely aligned with over the last year. She performed a version of his track, Forget You, on Glee, then the pair duetted on Saturday Night Live, even recording a new version of the track together.

Now People has confirmed that they'll be back on stage at the star-studded awards, joining a line-up that includes Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Eminem and Arcade Fire.

It is not known what track they will perform, but it's rumoured they'll be joined by some unusual backing singers - The Muppets!

We can't wait to see what they have in store!

Beyonce wins six awards at the Grammys and Michael Jackson's children accept a lifetime achievement award for the king of pop.

Soul singer Beyoncé was the big hitter at the prestigious Grammy Awards last night, winning a total of six prizes, including song of the year and best R&B song, both for Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). Nominated for ten awards, the singer has set a record for most awards won in a single year by a solo female and this brings her career total up to 16.

'I'd like to thank my family including my husband, I love you,' she said, referring to rapper Jay-Z.

The other big news of the night was the appearance of Michael Jackson's children. Paris and Prince accepted a lifetime achievement award for the king of pop, who passed away in June last year. 'To all his songs, his message was simple, love,' 12-year-old Prince Michael said. 'We will continue to spread his message and help the world.'

The children appeared after a rousing performance of Michael Jackson's Earth Song, with a recording of Jackson accompanied by live performances from Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Smokey Robinson and Jennifer Hudson.

Country star Taylor Swift picked up four prizes, including the coveted album of the year title for her record Fearless, she also won best country album.

Other artists including The Black Eyed Peas, Jay-Z and Kings of Leon all picked up three trophies each, while Lady GaGa and Eminem won two apiece.
