But over the past few months, they’ve become impossible to ignore, joining that small category of families I seem to know far too much about despite making no effort to learn this information. It brings to mind a phrase so often used about the Kardashian–Jenners: everything I know about this family is against my will.

Despite not engaging with any Beckham content, I’ve been repeatedly served their posts, and—more strikingly—the commentary beneath them. What I’ve seen isn’t gossip so much as a noisy confidence among strangers: a sense that they are entitled to instruct Brooklyn Beckham on how to conduct his relationship with his own family.

I have seen grown women—and men, but often it is women—leave warnings gussied up as advice under the elder Beckham’s posts. Ominous but clichéd sayings like “blood is thicker than water” and “no one will ever love you as much as your mum.” If we are to believe Brooklyn’s atomic statement last night, similar warnings were issued by his own family on the eve of his wedding.

I won’t retread the already well-worn ground of Brooklyn Beckham’s statements. They are, for want of a better word, juicy, and they’ve been treated accordingly—parsed, projected onto, and elevated to the status of cultural spectacle. And herein lies the problem. Because we all come from families—regardless of how harmonious or fractured they may be—everyone feels qualified to dole out advice. Much of it is no doubt well-meaning, but it undermines the very real pain caused by family estrangement.

I’ve spent a great deal of time occupying this space, both professionally and personally. I’ve interviewed countless people estranged from mothers, fathers, siblings—the whole shebang—and, as I’ve alluded to in those stories, I have my own experience with family estrangement. Does that qualify me to offer advice? No, of course not. My situation is entirely different from Brooklyn’s, and more than that, I know nothing of his.

Both parties have, in various guises, shared their versions of events. But it’s worth remembering that even in families where everyone lives under one roof, each person has their own experience. Siblings I’ve spoken to often report feeling as though they were raised by entirely different parents. And yet many of the most prominent—or at least most vocal—armchair psychologists have pointed to the seeming tightness of the Beckham unit sans Brooklyn. This tells us nothing.

Right now, questions are being volleyed across office floors, around family tables, in innumerable group chats. Should he have spoken out? What really happened? Where can we find a video of that wedding dance?

The implication here is that Brooklyn Beckham owes us clarity. That clarity would make us comfortable. We could soothe ourselves in the knowledge that this could never happen to our family. But families aren’t plays with a third-act reveal. They resemble something closer to weather systems, and as such, they change—often in ways totally unexpected even to the people within their orbit. What they don’t do is exist to be understandable and palatable to strangers, even well-meaning ones.

What’s striking about the fixation on Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents isn’t just the entitlement; it’s the moralising. Estrangement, in this instance, is being treated like a failure of gratitude, but being raised with privilege doesn’t protect anyone from the possibility of pain.

Collectively, we seem to have written a cultural script for families—especially glossy, famous ones like the Beckhams. When that image is challenged, it unsettles us. So we look for someone to blame. Often, it’s the child who steps away.

Brooklyn has been branded “spoilt,” “ungrateful,” a “loser.” Column inches have been dedicated to the fact that “he’d be nothing without his famous parents.” Commenters on social media have cruelly pointed out that he’d never have “bagged” his wife without his surname, and he should therefore be eternally grateful to have been born into the brand Beckham. I’ve seen this play out with estranged children without a famous pedigree, too. Something about estrangement—especially parental estrangement, and even more so when it involves the mother—deeply rattles people.

Much has been written about the way culture collapses nuance into spectacle, how the internet flattens people into archetypes that can be debated and discarded. Brooklyn Beckham is currently being flattened into “estranged son,” a role that demands context but denies any complexity. We want the mess, but only if it’s narratively satisfying.

It’s also worth asking why we assume reconciliation is the only acceptable outcome. Some relationships change shape. Some need distance to survive. And yes, some end. Social media is stuffed with chatter about boundaries, mental health, and “protecting our peace.” And yet, when someone actually enacts them—especially someone famous—we recoil. We demand to know what happened and, damn it, we want a reason good enough to satisfy us.

Maybe there is one. Maybe there isn’t. No one knows what happens inside a family except the people in it. Even then, everyone’s version is different.

Brooklyn Beckham doesn’t owe us anything. Not the gory details, nor the reassurance that our own families are somehow safer by comparison. The discomfort this story stirs up belongs to us, not to him.

Victoria Beckham's social media activity has come under scrutiny in recent weeks, as fans have noticed that she's been double tapping on certain posts - and not on others. Victoria and her husband David Beckham are rumoured to be dealing with a family fallout, with reports speculating that there is tension between them and their eldest son Brooklyn, and his wife Nicola. As a result, many have had a keen eye on social media posts from the family - and Victoria's interesting pattern when it comes to engaging with Brooklyn appears to add another layer to the 'feud'.

Page Six reports that, in the period from 5th to 26th July, the designer and former Spice Girl "liked" almost every one of Brooklyn's Instagram posts that didn't feature Nicola, and none of the ones that did. Apparently, David did the same thing. While this could all be a total coincidence, fans think that it reflects how the family's relationships are faring at the moment.

There were feud rumours concerning Victoria and Nicola for years, though the latter denied there was any truth to them. However, this past May, things appeared to have escalated when Brooklyn and Nicola opted out of David's big 50th birthday celebration in London. After that, many sources spoke out about the drama.

Just recently, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Brooklyn no longer followed his younger brothers - Cruz and Romeo - on Instagram, with a source close to the eldest brother claiming this wasn't an act on his, or Nicola's, part. "It's possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as no longer following the brothers," the source told The Sun. "They certainly didn't unfollow them or block them - they're as confused as anyone else. The first they heard about it was when it was being reported on."

In May, a source said: "Victoria is upset that things have escalated to this point." It's at least clear that if she's liking any of Brooklyn's posts at all, she very much still wants a relationship with him. We hope they're all able to figure things out.

Victoria Beckham has called husband David Beckham "the best daddy there is" amid the couple's rumoured feud with their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz. Posh's message has impressed fans, who saw her sweet words as proof that she'll always "protect" Brooklyn, no matter what drama is unfolding between them.

"Happy Father’s Day to the best daddy there is!" Victoria wrote on Instagram on Sunday. "You always lead with love and our four beautiful children are a reflection of that. We all love you so so much!!" She went on to tag Brooklyn and his brothers Romeo and Cruz, as well as hashtagging #HarperSeven as the Beckhams' youngest daughter doesn't have an Instagram account that we know of.

The fashion designer's social media post consisted of the most adorable carousel full of family videos and photos, many of which included Brooklyn — but not Nicola. The first slide showed Brooklyn singing along to the song "Sherry" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, with his dad and two of his siblings. It clearly showed a lovely and wholesome family moment, in stark contrast to the rumoured state of their relationship now.

Victoria's followers praised her sweet post, with one fan writing: "You're a great mother, Victoria. This is how she protects Brooklyn from the hate." Someone else echoed that sentiment, adding: "No matter what is happening with Brooklyn you will still protect him at all cost! Nothing but respect for you"

The Beckham clan has unfortunately been the subject of lots of drama in recent weeks. Brooklyn and Nicola decided to skip David's 50th birthday festivities, with reports claiming that they chose not to make the trip because his younger brother Romeo was dating Kim Turnbull at the time, and she and Brooklyn had once been romantically linked (though this was never confirmed). "Brooklyn didn't want to be in the same room as her, and he told his dad that," a source told People. "But David opted to have Kim there over Nicola."

There have been feud rumours between Victoria and Nicola for years, but the Lola film director has previously denied that they had any grounding in truth. However, more recently, People reported that there had been tension between the two women since as early as Nicola and Brooklyn's 2022 wedding.

Brooklyn has recently made it clear where his allegiance lies. Amid the ongoing feud, he posted a video on Instagram of himself with his wife riding a motorcycle with the caption: "My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby"

Things have escalated in recent days as the Beckhams' eldest son posted a video of himself and Nicola on a motorcycle over the weekend with the caption: "My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby."

Brooklyn's caption was widely interpreted as a pointed message for his parents, as they are believed not to be speaking at the moment, though it's unclear exactly what's going on. Earlier this month, Brooklyn and Nicola opted to skip David's milestone 50th birthday party which triggered an onslaught of speculation over a family 'feud'.

Brooklyn's younger brother Cruz Beckham appeared to try to build bridges by posting a photo of himself, his three siblings and their parents on Instagram Stories with the words: "I love my family, I love you guys more than anything, mum & dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives x" (via Hello!).

But despite Cruz's efforts, reports continue to suggest that Brooklyn's relationship with David and Victoria is still incredibly strained. According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, Brooklyn and Nicola "have not been in touch" with his parents since they skipped the birthday party.

Apparently, though, the alleged feud isn't solely driven by Brooklyn: his parents haven't attempted to reach out to him either, according to publication's source. "There hasn’t been any sort of resolution from either side," they added. Meanwhile, Brooklyn is said to have flown to London recently without getting in touch with his parents, "because things are tense and he didn’t think it would be a productive conversation" per the insider.

"Brooklyn is trying to let things go right now and is giving everyone space," the source added, explaining that he and his wife are "just doing their own thing. They have their own separate lives and have been carrying on for now."

In an additional story for the Metro, another insider claimed that "Victoria is upset that things have escalated to this point" and that their oldest son "has made his position clear" leaving "[Victoria] and David heartbroken." However, a source close to Nicola told the paper: "It’s sad that a simple statement of love and appreciation for his wife is being manipulated into something that it isn’t."

Let's hope the family are able to patch things up soon!

Victoria and David Beckham's relationship has been well documented over the last three decades, but the media's interest in their private lives was a focal point of the former footballer's Netflix documentary, Beckham. Airing last year, the series followed David's meteoric rise to fame after signing to Manchester United at just 14 years old - but it also detailed the media frenzy surrounding his relationship with Victoria when they first started dating in 1997.

While the series shed new light on what was happening behind the scenes as they fell in love, it also highlighted the scale of press intrusion they faced thirty years ago when they were in their early twenties. In an interview with Harpers Bazaar, Victoria explained how her marriage to David has changed while reflecting on that time, saying: "I mean, when it happened, David was the same age that Romeo is now. That’s a lot for a 22-year-old.

"When you’re in it, there’s that sink-or-swim feeling, and you just get on with it. And we had each other, and the rest is history. But the thought of my Romeo having to go through it… I don’t know how he would handle that. I don’t know how anyone would handle that. But we didn’t have a choice."

Explaining that their priorities have changed over the course of their 25 year marriage, Victoria continued: "We’ve kind of figured out how to be quite discreet, which is just how we want to conduct our lives right now. I suppose it used to be fun to go out and be chased by paparazzi walking down Bond Street – and you would dress knowing you were going to get that. I don’t want that any more."

Following the success of Beckham, Victoria is set to star in her own Netflix show. The streaming platform confirmed that the designer and former Spice Girl will have a docu-series of her own, and it will follow her fashion and beauty businesses.

Harper Beckham recently made a VERY public speech about her mum Victoria Beckham, and people loved how sweet the whole thing was.

Harper got on stage at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year 2024 awards on Tuesday to present Posh Spice with the Entrepreneur of the Year award for her self-titled fashion and beauty brand.

The 13-year-old immediately won people over when she arrived on stage and declared: "I'm so nervous!"

In a video from the event, shared by the Standard, the crowd can be heard aw-ing and giggling at the teen's words.

"Good evening, everyone," she continued. "I'm so excited to be here presenting the Entrepreneur of the Year award, especially as tonight is a school night. And hopefully this isn't going to get me into trouble."

Again, this line got Harper quite a few giggles.

"The winner is someone I have always looked up to," she added. "She’s built an incredible business from the ground up, and shown me the value of working hard, dreaming big and setting my standards.

"She’s taught me so much about what it takes to succeed. But above all else, she’s taught me to always be kind and even though she has a million things to do, she rarely misses the school run.

"Tonight I am so proud to present the Entrepreneur Of The Year award to a truly inspiring woman who means the world to me, my amazing mummy, Victoria Beckham."

Joining her daughter on stage to accept the award, Victoria told Harper: "I am so, so proud of you. I mean, getting up on stage in front of a room full of people is scary, and you did it with such poise and such elegance.

"And I am so proud of the incredible young lady that you have become. You keep me grounded, you inspire me every day. You teach me to see the world through fresh eyes. And as busy as I am, being a mum is the most important job to me, and what I am most proud of. So thank you."

Victoria shares four children with husband David Beckham: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, who is the only girl.

Meanwhile, Harper wasn't the only person at the Bazaar Awards to fangirl over Posh: Nicola Coughlan also came out to share what Victoria means to her.

Speaking of the ex-Spice Girl, the Bridgerton actress said: "As a little girl, my favourite popstar was my favourite popstar for a number of reasons: she was inherently cool. She had this sort of brunette bob that I immediately got cut into my own hair. And she was so funny. She was so deeply funny, so quick."

Victoria Beckham is reportedly unsure about her son Cruz Beckham's current relationship. Cruz, 19, has been dating Brazilian singer Jackie Apostel, 29, since June, and he's even taken her to meet the family — including at Victoria's Paris fashion show recently. But while Victoria and her husband David are making it a priority to maintain a healthy relationship with their son, they're apparently not the biggest fans of his new romance given Cruz and Jackie's age gap.

"Although Victoria is pleased that Cruz seems happy in his relationship, she does have some concerns about the age gap and whether her youngest son is ready for that kind of commitment," one source the Mirror. "She really likes Jackie, and Jackie seems to get on with all the family but Victoria would be lying if she said that her being 10 years older than Cruz isn't a worry. Cruz is still a teenager whereas Jackie is a fully grown woman who is at a different stage in her life and may want things that Cruz is not quite ready for."

Meanwhile, another source really didn't mince their words. "She and David both think that the whole Mrs Robinson romance will blow over, so they are going to do absolutely nothing apart from keeping them both close and being nice to them."

They continued: "David's view is that everyone needs to stay very calm. Apparently, David thinks that this is probably going to be a great experience for Cruz. He would not be so relaxed if it was Harper in a few years time but that is another story — he's so protective of her. But he thinks it's a boy's dream to be with a gorgeous older woman."

Victoria and David are parents to Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 13. Their eldest son Brooklyn married his partner Nicola Peltz Beckham in 2022, and Romeo is dating photographer Gray Sorrenti.

David and Victoria Beckham aren't ones to shy away from poking fun at themselves, and that's one of the things we love about them.

The former footballer and fashion designer are currently promoting an ad they filmed for Uber Eats, which will air during the Super Bowl, i.e. one of the most prestigious (and expensive) ad breaks in the U.S.

As it happens, this ad hilariously pokes fun at the Beckhams' viral moment from their Netflix documentary, during which Victoria claimed she grew up "working class" and David told her to "be honest" until she finally admitted that her dad had a Rolls-Royce when she was young.

In a teaser for the full-length ad, Victoria is sitting on a swishy white sofa, looking as sophisticated as ever in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt from her clothing label which reads, "My dad had a Rolls-Royce." This is the first clue of what's to come.

The former Spice Girl says: "So David and I are gonna be in a little commercial." Then David's voice pipes up in the background: "Be. Honest."

Victoria says: "OK. It's a big commercial," before her husband tells her to say "what it's during."

She ends up saying that the ad will air "during the big baseball game."

David corrects: "Super big baseball game."

This is a joke about the two of them being British and therefore not knowing that the Super Bowl is an American football game, as well as the fact that "football" obviously means something very different to Brits — and to David.

If these two keep bringing the jokes like this, we definitely can't wait to see the finished product.

As well as the fun and silly ads, the Super Bowl promises to be an extra exciting event this year as Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce has secured a place in the showdown with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Therefore, expect the Swifties to turn out en masse.

Rebecca Loos has spoken out over the awful trolling she's received since the popular Beckham documentary aired, which briefly covered the alleged affair between herself and David while she was working as his PA in the early '00s. 

The Beckham documentary has been a huge success in terms of ratings and reviews, with viewers praising the candid insight into the world of one of the most talked-about UK couples. Showing the humanity behind the headlines, both David and Victoria have enjoyed much praise since the documentary aired earlier this month. On the flip side, Rebecca has been subjected to a barrage of abuse, bringing her back to events that happened 20 years ago; a time she'd rather forget. 

In her first televised interview since the documentary landed on Netflix, Rebecca discussed how its reference to her involvement with the couple has promoted 'horrific' abuse online.

Speaking to hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Madely on Good Morning Britain on Monday, she explained: "I woke up to all these horrific messages on Instagram being called horrible names, awful trolling. I had heard about trolling before but never experienced it because 20 years ago we didn’t have social media."

The landscape has completely changed since the affair allegations were originally published in 2004. We've seen the rise of the online troll, with trolling the third most prevalent form of online abuse in the UK, according to stats from Stastica.

But that's not to say that there wasn't a hefty amount of negative attention coming Rebecca's way in the noughties, with the media laying into Rebecca on a deeply personal level. Shortly after the news broke, journalist Jane Moore accused David's former PA of selling 'a fundamentally decent family man down the river' in an article in the The Sun.

Then in reference to the News of the World's crass 'Rebecca's more posh than Posh' angle - which crudely pitted the two women's social standing against each other -  Jane continued: "Well, the Adamses may not have 'old' money, but they're rich in decent morals and family values. Which puts them a cut above Ms Loos any day."

Later in 2006, Rebecca faced a public shaming from Sharon Osborne during an appearance on The X Factor: Battle of the Stars. Singing Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love alongside James Hewitt, who has come under much media scrutiny himself in the '90s over his relationship with the late Princess Diana, Sharon told the pair that they 'both have so much in common and it shows on stage'.

She added directly to Rebecca: "Mrs, you know what, if you get through tonight you should try doing tomorrow's performance with your knickers on, because it will help warm up your voice a bit more," before concluding that while Rebecca had a 'bad vibe', she also had a 'very good boob job', as a final swipe.

In the documentary, David and Victoria touch on the allegations that David had an affair - a claim he has always denied and originally dismissed as 'ludicrous' - though they don't name any names. 

During the series, the Beckhams describe the hardships they faced following Rebecca's claims. David said in the documentary: "Victoria's everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we're fighters, and at that time, we needed to fight for each other. We needed to fight for our family, and what we had was worth fighting for, but ultimately, it's our private life. I felt physically sick every day when I opened my eyes."

Victoria revealed her pain in the aftermath of the alleged affair, saying it was 'the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us and… we were against each other'.

Undoubtedly a painful time for all involved, Rebecca insisted during this morning's interview that she would 'rather not be here'. She explained: "I had left it all behind me, I'd much rather not be here and talk about this again." 

Rebecca, who lives in Norway with her husband and two sons, is now working as a yoga instructor, continued: "I had moved on with my life."

But it was David's apparent lack of accountability that encouraged Rebecca to take action and agree to the televised interview that would show her side of the story. While she didn't cover much old ground in the interview, she did share her reasons for speaking out.

"It really bothered me, the angle how he played the narrative and how misleading it is and how it's making me look like the bad person," she said on GMB. "Of course, I am also guilty, it takes two to tango, it's not all his fault but it's both of us."

Rebecca went on to explain that she does have some regret over how the news of the alleged affair broke, explaining: "I wish I had done it in a different way, I've always said this. At the time the advice I was given was that this was the way to go about it, but 20 years ago - and the new generation don't know this - but all the power was in the media. I mean you both remember this [directed at Kate and Richard], if anything was to happen it was through the media."

When asked if there was anything she wanted to say to David and Victoria, Rebecca replied: "I don’t really want to say anything to them. But what I would like to say is, I think by him not acknowledging responsibility, he is giving a message that it’s OK to behave like this and I think that is a wrong message to give. My message is, you make mistakes, own up to them, say sorry, move on, and that’s what I’m teaching my kids."

She also went on to explain how she explained the documentary to her children, referencing again the online abuse she's suffered, adding: "I said I feel that it’s very unfair, because of the way I’m being treated now, and the bullying I’m getting and the trolling, and I want to say something, and I’m going to do an interview so there might be some media and how do you feel about that? And so my youngest son said: 'Good for you, mummy. Yes, I would say something too.'"

Since the Beckham documentary landed on Netflix earlier this month, clips of David and Victoria Beckham have been circulating online - from their distinctive noughties fashion (ahem, purple wedding suits) to the footage of David cooking a single mushroom. 

While the series documents David's rise to the top as one of the most famous football players in the world, it also offers insight into his relationship with Victoria and how the couple have weathered a number of storms over the years, from living abroad to those infamous affair allegations. 

Although no names are mentioned in the documentary, Rebecca Loos - David's personal assistant during his time in Spain playing for Real Madrid - claimed that she had an affair with him in 2004. At the time, he released a statement calling the accusations 'ludicrous', and in the new series Victoria discusses how the infidelity allegations impacted their marriage. 

David also talks about the affect it had on his wife, saying: "There were some horrible stories that were difficult to, erm, deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage. I don’t know. I don’t know how we got through it, in all honesty.

"To see her hurt was incredibly difficult. But we’re fighters. And at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family. And what we had was worth fighting for. But ultimately, it’s our private life."

Now, former Dutch model Loos - who currently lives in Norway with her husband and two children - has spoken about the way it was dealt with in Beckham, and has called for David to 'take responsibility' instead of 'portraying himself as the victim'. 

She told MailOnline: "He can say whatever he likes of course, and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories. He is indirectly suggesting that I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer."

Adding that 'he's the one that's caused the suffering', she continued: "That bothered me.... He could have simply said that this was a tough time and I don’t want to talk about it. If you don’t want to take responsibility for things because of your family and your children that’s absolutely fine. 

"But he specifically made it look like… my fault, that he had nothing to do with this."

We've all fallen in love with Posh and Becks, David and Victoria Beckham, all over again since the highly-anticipated Beckham series dropped on Netflix.

During the four-part documentary, viewers are given details about their lives that have previously been kept private - from the couple's engagement (Victoria's extensive ring collection aside), to what was really going on behind the scenes during sarong-gate. 

We also relive one of the most iconic celebrity weddings of all time - David and Victoria's '90s bash complete with matching purple wedding outfits and thrones. Oh yes.

Footage from the archives has unearthed some moments you might have missed the first time around, including a very fresh-faced Gary Neville making a dirty joke about the Spice Girls and the Bayern Munich football team.  

"We've got some distinguished guests present ladies and gentlemen," Gary began. "David said the Spice Girls requested the Bayern Munich team be present today and David was puzzled at this request and asked why."

He then continued: "He said that the Spice Girls replied that they'd love to meet any men that can stay on top for 90 minutes and still come second."

The camera then cuts to David Beckham, who is seen in stitches.

While the joke may be a *tad* crass, fans are still loving it on social media to this day, taking to X (formerly Twitter) after the documentary aired to show their approval. 

"The Beckham documentary on Netflix is so good. Crying at Gary Neville's best man speech," wrote one fan online.

While another said: "Gary Neville’s best man speech is iconic!!"

And a third wrote: "Gary Neville's Best Man Speech at David Beckham's wedding had me in stitches... Epic."

Clearly, a popular guy. 

It was certainly good to get some light relief from some of the more serious topics discussed within the documentary, which include the pressures of media scrutiny felt by both David and Victoria, as well as the couple candidly opening up about the infamous 2004 affair allegations.

Netflix said of the series: "David Beckham is one of the most known names on the planet, yet few people know who he really is. From his humble working-class beginnings in east London, his drive and determination to win, and the battle to find balance between ambition, love and family, David’s story is one of immense ups and downs.

"The result is an intimate portrait of a man as well as a chronicle of late-modern sports and celebrity culture."

David and Victoria Beckham's Netflix docu-series has had viewers gripped since its release last week. 

The couple really open up in the new four-part series Beckham, discussing everything their first kiss to affair allegations and it has reignited a passion for the formerly titled Posh and Becks. Viewers have enjoyed re-living their interesting fashion choices (read: matching purple outfits) and it has been an eye-opening look into the lives of one of the most famous British couples of our time. 

During the documentary, David and Victoria also discuss the meanings behind their children's names. They famously made headlines when they named their eldest son Brooklyn, and continued to surprise with the monikers bestowed on their two sons Romeo and Cruz, and lastly their daughter, Harper Seven. 

Victoria revealed that Brooklyn's name was inspired by the New York City borough as it's where she was when she called her husband to tell him that she was pregnant in the summer of 1998. 

She explained: "I told David the night before the [England v Argentina World Cup] game. He was so, so happy, we both were and there was never any doubt in my mind that I should tell him. I mean, it was what we wanted and he could not have been happier."

Over the years, David and Victoria have explained that Romeo, 21, was 'just a name we love' and Cruz - a name of Portuguese origin - was a nod to their time living in Spain when David was playing for Real Madrid.

So, what about Harper Seven? 

The couple's only daughter, who turned 12 in July, was in fact named after the author of Victoria's favourite book. 

In a video posted to his Facebook account back in 2011, David said: "Victoria's favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. It's a very strong, passionate book and the author was Harper Lee - and that is where Harper came from."

As for the Seven? 

He continued: "The main reason behind Seven was it symbolises spiritual perfection – the seven wonders of the world, the seven colours of the rainbow – and in many cultures it is a lucky number.

"We love the name and we love Harper Seven. We are very happy to have her in our lives and in our family, and it is an amazing time for our family right now."

Fans will also be aware that David's number during his time at Manchester United was - you guessed it - 7.

Victoria Beckham has addressed the affair allegations which surrounded her husband David almost twenty years after the infamous claims made headlines.  

As part of a four-part documentary series on Netflix, David and Victoria have opened up about their life behind the scenes and the show, simply titled Beckham, charts the couple's love story since their first meeting in 1997. 

During one segment, the former Spice Girl candidly spoke about the impact that the infidelity allegations had on her and her marriage for the first time. 

In 2004, David's personal assistant Rebecca Loos claimed that she had an affair with the football player during his time in Spain at Real Madrid. The Beckhams have repeatedly denied the claims, and David said in a statement at the time: "During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. What appeared this morning is just one further example. 

"The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts."

Now, Victoria has shared that it 'was the hardest period' as it 'felt like the world was against us'.  

In the documentary, as reported via The Sun, she explained: "Here's the thing - we were against each other if I'm being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other.

"But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.

"It was an absolute circus - and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town, right? Unless you're in it."

When asked if she 'resented' David at the time, she replied candidly: "If I'm being totally honest, yes I did. It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life."

David also speaks about the allegations, saying: "There was some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with.

"It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage."

Victoria and David Beckham. Posh and Becks. Now that these two global superstars have been an item for some 25 years, it's hard for any of us to imagine what it was like when news of their romance had yet to break.

And yet, when the two first started dating in 1997, they had to keep their relationship secret for a while, presumably so as to avoid undue media attention.

In the trailer for the upcoming documentary BECKHAM, which will air on Netflix starting 4 October, the iconic spouses briefly recall what it was like for them in the early days of their relationship.

"My manager kept saying, 'Try and keep it under wraps,'" Victoria said. "So we would meet in car parks — and that's not as seedy as it sounds."

At this, David can simply be heard commenting: "Classy."

While that's all the information we have until the documentary comes out, what we do know is that the Beckhams went on their first date in 1997, that they announced their engagement in January 1998, followed by a pregnancy announcement a few months later. Their first son Brooklyn Joseph was born in March 1999, and his parents tied the knot in July of that year (per People).

The Beckhams became parents again several times after that, welcoming Romeo James in 2002, Cruz David in 2005, and finally their only daughter Harper Seven in 2011.

And 25 years later, David and Victoria's love seems as strong as ever, with the two of them regularly paying loving tributes to each other on social media — including while promoting BECKHAM.

Posting on Instagram, Victoria wrote: "I’m so proud of you @DavidBeckham and everything you’ve achieved.. I can’t wait for you all to see BECKHAM on @Netflix from October 4!! xx"

As for David, he celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary with the sweet words: "On this day 4.7.99 ... 24 years and counting ... To the best wife , mummy & drinking partner ( most of the time ) Happy Anniversary love u so much"

David Beckham has been flooded with heartfelt messages as he celebrates his 47th birthday.

The former England football captain celebrated his birthday on 2 May, but, of course, his special day has not gone under the radar as wife, Victoria Beckham, took to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband of 23 years.

The Spice Girls singer posted two separate photo reels on her Instagram account; the first a series of pictures of her and her spouse, while the second was sweet photos of David with their children, Harper, Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn.

The first set of photos capture David and Victoria on the beach, while the second is them soaking up the sun on a boat.

The post was captioned: "I love you so much @davidbeckham you are the most incredible husband anyone could wish for and I feel truly blessed. You are my everything x I love you so so much x happy birthday."

A follow-up post shared on behalf of the Beckham brood, read: "Happy birthday @davidbeckham the best daddy!!! We all love you so much!! So many kisses from us all!!! Kisses @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven."

Victoria went one step further and also posted a collection of images on her Instagram Story, which last on the photo-sharing site for 24 hours.

One image sees the footballing ace feeding a pig with a carrot in his mouth, followed by another snap of David in a pair of swimming shorts on holiday showing off his toned abs on the beach.

Victoria captioned the final picture: "Not bad for 47! Lucky me!"

The Instagram photos have racked up over 816,000 likes combined, as well as hundreds of comments from friends, family and fans.

David's family also paid tribute to their dad on his special day.

Romeo shared a photo of him and his father on his photo-sharing site, alongside the caption: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD, I love you so much thank you for everything, have the best day."

While Cruz uploaded a picture of David snowboarding, before taking a tumble in the snow, on his Instagram account.

"Happy birthday @davidbeckham I love you have a amazing dayyyy", he wrote, although a separate photo of David with a giant birthday cake in front of him was posted on Cruz's Instagram Story.

However, Brooklyn has remained quiet on social media so far.

Victoria and David Beckham have set up an emergency appeal to help refugees fleeing Ukraine amidst Russia's invasion.

The former England football captain, who is a longstanding Global Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, has set up the appeal through his 7 Fund with the charity organisation, which the couple have both donated to to help those in need at this heartbreaking time.

The Spice Girls band member and her husband both shared a video of David, 46, on their separate Instagram accounts, urging people to help those seeking refuge and donate as the war wages on.

In the clip, David said: "Like you, I have watched the situation in Ukraine unfold with horror and disbelief. Mothers forced to flee with their children, families torn apart, children pulled from their beds to become refugees overnight.

"With my family safe around me, I felt the helplessness we all share when faced with scenes of such despair.

"As a longtime Global Goodwill Ambassador, I know how experienced UNICEF is at deploying aid in conflict situations.

"They have people on the frontlines as refugees pour over borders to be given shelter in neighbouring countries.

"That's why this International Women's Day I'm setting up an emergency appeal through my 7 Fund for UNICEF to help provide immediate aid.

"Victoria and I have made a donation on behalf of our family to kickstart the appeal. We would be so grateful if you could join us to help UNICEF support these innocent children. Please give what you can today."

UNICEF commented on David's post, and wrote: "The needs of children in #Ukraine are growing by the minute. Thank you David Beckham, and everyone helping raise urgent funds for families caught up in conflict."

President Vladimir Putin launched Russia into a multi-pronged attack as it invaded Ukraine by land, sea and air on 24 February.

The devastation still continues to tear families apart, killing hundreds of people and has displaced thousands more.

Those wishing to help those in need, can do so to support Ukraine at this heartbreaking time.

Fashion force Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Unicef...

Fashion force Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Unicef, pledging to raise funds and awareness as a partner for the children’s charity, and designing two special pieces of jewellery for fashion fans to buy.

In a double celebration, the charity and the Parisian design house also threw a ball to honour David Beckham in Los Angeles last night, awarding him with the Humanitarian Leadership prize in acknowledgement of his efforts to raise over $2.5million for Unicef’s programs. Nice work, Mr Beckham.

Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman and Miranda Kerr all turned out to celebrate the star’s success, wearing a whole lotta custom Louis Vuitton between them. All Unicef fundraisers themselves, the guests were treated to dinner at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel, before Mariah Carey performed three of our favourites - Always Be My Baby, We Belong Together and Hero. Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere (pictured below on the night with Lea Seydoux) has designed a ‘Silver Lockit’ for his fashion followers to snap up, with £140 from each sale going directly to the charity. Proceeds from the #MakeAPromise collection, which features a necklace and a bracelet with the padlock pendent, will support children who are exposed to conflict, natural disasters and disease around the world.

‘So happy @louisvuittonand @nicolasghesquiere are partnering with @unicef’ Selena Gomez wrote on Instagram last night. ‘I've been an ambassador since I was 17, met Nicolas last year. SO grateful for the worlds to collide for a great cause.’

David Beckham has posted a video of his rather impressive gym work out and, with the totally innocent goal of extracting take-away fitness tips, we felt obliged to assess his efforts.

The 40 year-old father of four is promoting new app MyEye which, like Periscope, offers subscribers a chance to watch live streamed videos from account-holding personalities.

David has reportedly invested around £2million in the app, adding another branch to brand Beckham, and he’s clearly keen to bring some attention to the new launch.

The first video #SitUps, shows super-fit David practicing Floyd Mayweather’s trademark sit-to-standing crunches, while in the second called #Boxing (you get the theme right?) he’s, um, boxing.

David and Victoria Beckham must have trialled every hairstyle imaginable between them - remember his Alice band and cornrows, or her famous Pob? But, David’s revealed, the couple have never yet cut four year-old Harper’s hair.

‘About a year ago, my wife said, ‘Maybe we should cut Harper’s hair,’’ he told Yahoo! when asked whether he ever styles his daughter’s hair in the morning. ‘And I was like, ‘No! We need to grow it. Do. Not. Touch.’’

‘Since she was born, we haven’t cut it. That’s why it’s pretty much down to her knees. I had to [save her hair]. It’s just so good, isn’t it?’

So fans hoping that little Harper is a beauty trendsetter in the making may have to wait a few more years before she starts chopping and changing her look, but, in the mean time, Miss Beckham’s still giving us plenty of adorable up-dos (we love the mini-huns) to coo over.

David also revealed in the interview that he has given sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz a buzz cut or two over the years, after his mum, who was once a hairdresser, taught him how to use the clippers.

‘I do cut my sons’ hair from time-to-time. When they have a buzz cut, I do it. If I have to use scissors, the boys know not to ask—she never taught me how to do that.’

So now we know. If you want hair style advice, speak to Mr Beckham. But for the actual chop, beware. He's really just like anyone else's dad wielding shears...

Victoria Beckham flew to New York to speak on the first day of the United Nations’ Social Good Summit, asking the question ‘What type of world do I want to live in by the year 2030?’, and highlighting the work being done to prevent Aids around the world.

‘Let's support, educate and empower women everywhere to be able to achieve this for our children,’ Victoria, a UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador, told the summit. ‘Please tell everyone.'

Meeting with other powerful humanitarians Graca Machel and Queen Rania of Jordan, singer Alicia Keys is also due to join the line up for the two day event.

Ever the proud husband, David Beckham took to social media to shower his wife with Insta-support. ‘Proud of my wife today speaking at the UN Head quarters ...,’ he wrote. ‘Powerful speech along with some other incredible and powerful women on that stage ... Right to the point about Our fight against HIV / AIDS.'

This is Victoria’s third speech in her influential position with the UN and she has previously shown her dedication to the role by missing key fashion calendar events to attend conferences.

‘I will do whatever I can to raise awareness,’ Victoria said when she was first appointed. ‘I would do anything for my children and I think every woman has the right to health and every woman has the right to give their children a healthy future. Elton [John] is a very dear friend of mine and David’s and we’ve been patrons of the Elton John Aids Foundation for 20 years, so I have been working a lot with lots of Aids charities.’

Yes, according to a new financial study, David and Victoria Beckham earn £40 million per year, with their total worth equalling that of the Queen.

So how do the numbers break down? Brand Beckham makes its money from three key channels; Footworks, which collects money from all of David’s football-related ventures, Beckham Ventures, for Victoria’s booming fashion empire and the Beckham label, for all of the family’s other endorsements and advertising contracts.

The new analysis, conducted by experts at the London School of Marketing, values Footworks at £150 million, the endorsements channel at £70 million and Beckham Ventures at £60million.

Add in their properties, investments, old Spice Girl savings and the like, and, voila, David and Victoria Beckham have truly hit the jackpot.

‘The Beckham name has the Midas touch when it comes to advertising, even the mere mention of their names associated with a brand is a small news event in itself,’ says Anton Dominique, chief marketing officer at the London School of Marketing.

The report also notes the value that the Beckham children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, are bringing to the kitty, crediting Romeo’s Burberry campaign as the cause of a 15% sales boost for the luxury British fashion house.

‘What is also interesting is that the family name is almost as influential as any individual family member,’ Anton adds.

Naomi Campbell, Ellie Goulding and, of course, Brooklyn and David Beckham, were all there to support, sipping on cocktails mixed with David’s Haig Club whisky (there was one called ‘The Victoria’, naturally, mixed with lemon, sherry and red current syrup).

‘Proud of what this young lady has done and achieved,’ David adorably posted on Instagram after the event ‘... Exciting night at Dover Street.’

Earlier in the day, Victoria dropped a surprise preview of her diffusion line’s SS16 collection. The Victoria Victoria Beckham lookbook, just like last season, was quirky and conceptual, as models posed in Crystal Palace Park with a chicken (called Bertie, of course) either in their arms or on their heads. The clothes themselves borrowed exotic motifs from the Beckham family’s trip to Marrakech earlier in the year, celebrating David’s 40th with yet another huge party in the sun.

From scallop hem minidresses to placement print capes, the line was one of the biggest yet from the designer, highlighting the enormous success and growth her label has achieved in the last year.

‘I was inspired by Marrakesh and the Majorelle Gardens after going there for my David’s 40th’ the designer told The Telegraph. ‘I want women everywhere to enjoy the brand.’

We think, if they aspire to be anything at all like the designer herself, women are bound to have a good time in these clothes.

David Beckham has revealed that he is planning a new career as an actor, speaking openly for the first time about his ambitions for his work life after football. But a spokesperson has confirmed this morning that he's NOT got his eye on Daniel Craig's Bond role... 

In typically humble Beckham fashion, David acknowledged that he’s not quite Eddie Redmayne yet, but will be taking some classes to develop his raw talent into some serious skills. Oscars 2020, anyone?

‘I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed,’ he told The Times.

‘I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn't want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice.’

David, who retired from professional football in May 2013, has already landed his first cameo in friend Guy Ritchie’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E, and his first proper role will be in Knights Of The Roundtable, which is due out next year.

The multi-talented Beckham clan seem to be able to reinvent themselves over and over again (footballer to model, Spice Girl to major fashion designer…) so it actually wouldn’t surprise us if David does put his head down and make a serious go for this.

Golden Balls is taking a break from posing in his pants and doing the school run, to flex his acting chops in Middle Ages epic Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.

The former footballer will be starring alongside, it has to be said, a very dishy foursome consisting of Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Eric Bana and Djimon Hounsou.

But we don't think Eddie Redmayne needs to be holding on too tightly to his Oscar, as IMDB lists Becks as playing the rather vague Blackleg leader.

The news was first reported by filmdivider.com, which had learned from sources involved with the film a little bit about Beck's cameo.

'As the film tells a King Arthur origin story, there’s going to be a version of the scene where Excalibur gets drawn from the stone. This is where Beckham factors in.

'And there’s a little bit of a sense that Beckham’s character, who fancies himself a big player in this story, gets a little ticked off when this other fellow, this upstart, is the one who can free the sword.'

There have also, apparently, been some football puns written in for Beckham's scene.

The Beckham family spent their bank holiday weekend in probably the same way you did - wrapped up, shivering and making the most of the great British summer - for the Beckhams spent the day in Cambridge, enjoying a spot of punting along the River Cam.

The whole clan was there for the day trip, including Victoria, David, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper as well as Victoria’s sister, Louise, and her family.

Of course it wasn't long before news of the famous family's excursion to Cambridge spread and both locals and tourists alike flocked to the river banks to get a glimpse of the A-list gang.

David Beckham, in particular, clearly enjoyed his day of sight-seeing, posting several photos of himself, punt in hand, on his Instagram account.

And the fun didn't stop there. The Beckhams being the Beckhams, managed to totally win at bank holiday greatness, by then hanging out with the one and only Professor Stephen Hawking. When in Cambridge, and all that...

Brooklyn,16, posted a snap of himself in an office with Stephen along with the comment: 'What a honour to meet Stephan Hawking. Such an inspiring afternoon. [sic]’.

David Beckham's 40th birthday celebrations were always going to be epic. And, from the private jet and luxury 5* resort in Marrakech to a visit from the Spice Girls and magician David Blaine (we know, right... weird), Golden Balls celebrated his milestone in style and, most importantly, surrounded by friends and family.

Though Easyjet does do a very reasonably priced flight to Marrakech, only a private charter would do on this most special of occasions. Fancy.

If it's birthday presents David Beckham wants, it's presents David Beckham gets. Lots of them. Just look at that gift-laden table. A special shout-out goes to whoever used the watermelon wrapping paper #inspo.

Two birthday cakes? TWO. We've seen it all now.

As you would expect, David's nearest and dearest made the special trip to Marrakech, including nearly all the Spice Girls (poor show, Mel B), Eva Longoria, Tana and Gordon Ramsay, plus Beckham's longtime pal, Dave Gardner along with his movie star girlfriend, Liv Tyler. But the award to most random guest of the weekend goes to Vanessa Feltz.

The hardcore partiers

A good time was had by all, especially David's family who didn't see their beds. Joanne Beckham posted a pic of her and the Beckham clan (plus magician David Blaine) on their way home at 7am. Wild.

The hangover

We think David may have discovered the best hangover cure ever: Being pampered by little Harper Beckham. He posted the snap of her playing with his hair, an wrote: 'Someone is trying to make daddy feel pretty today after a heavy night.'

The best of the British fashion world took over LA last night, as Burberry threw a London-themed runway show and party to celebrate their AW15 collection - inviting Victoria and David Beckham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Cara Delevingne and more of our most stylish national treasures.

Here are all the insider details from the fashion party everyone is talking about…

1. The Entire Beckham Family Was Out In Force And each got their own, personal invitation to Burberry's show (well you would never just send one card to ‘The Beckhams’, would you?) The children of our real royal family, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper totally stole the spotlight from their mum and dad. Harper looked adorable in a mini Burberry dress (accessorised with a plush giraffe) and let’s not forget that Romeo has been one of the brand’s key campaign stars for several seasons.

2. Brooklyn Beckham Took ALL The Selfies There’s no shame in fan-boying when the people you’re approaching are your parents’ friends Elton John, James Corden and Cara Delevingne, is there? Forget the air-con David and Victoria Beckham want to install in their £31.5m detached house, it's the cinema, gym and wine cellar we're interested in...

David and Victoria Beckham have gone and ruffled a few feathers in their Holland Park neighbourhood. The pair have asked for planning permission to have air-con installed in their £31.5m pad and fellow residents are not happy.

The Beckhams want air-con pumping into five rooms, including their gym and wine cellar, but one nighbour has raised concerns that this will ruin the historical feel of the road.

Anyway, whatever, all this has done has given newspapers the chance to print and share the incredible details of the Beckhams' mansion. And we're lapping it up.

Here's a little lowdown on just how luxurious the new home of this super-couple is...

Posh and Becks hired London-based designer Rose Uniacke to oversee the £5m renovation of their home and, when it's all ready, the house will have six bedrooms, a gym, wine cellar, study, office, playroom, cinema and drawing room.

The first floor will belong to David and Victoria, and has a huge bedroom, dressing room and en-suite bathroom. The house will also, reportedly, have separate beauty rooms for hairdressing, manicures, make-up and general pampering as well as entire rooms dedicated to VB's shoes. Heaven!

This leaves the second floor of this four-story house for kids Brooklyn,16; Romeo,12; Cruz, ten and Harper, three to have the run of.

Staff and security will have access to a tunnel which will take them unseen to a second property, a mews house behind the main house. And there'll be an underground garage.

All this will take the value of the pad up to £42m. Oh, and the Beckhams also own homes in California, Dubai and the South of France.

So, that's what a combined wealth of £210m can get you. Not too shabby.

Despite presenting an award at last night’s BAFTAs David Beckham was showing no signs of tiredness this morning at Google HQ as he hosted a press conference to launch a new campaign with UNICEF - 7. And Marie Claire had a front row seat!

Just when you thought you couldn’t love David Beckham anymore, he announces a new campaign with UNICEF – 7 which promises to help vulnerable children across the world.

Marking Becks’ tenth year as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, the campaign, which has been named after David’s trademark lucky 7 shirt number (and Harper’s middle name), will tackle seven areas of priority around the world, including El Salvador and Papua New Guinea.

Looking dapper in a navy suit, the former footballer-turned-humanitarian was eager to stress how keen he is to use his fame for a worthwhile cause.

'My life hasn’t just been about football, it’s about helping others too,' he said.

The 39-year old explained that being David Beckham gives him access to some of the most influential people in the world. 'My fame, my success that I had on the field, opens doors for exactly things like this - the protection of children, the protection of women.

'My fame helps in many different ways… I can go into certain countries and ask to meet a Prime Minister, whether they want to meet me or not, but their children might want to meet me and that opens doors.'

He went on to reveal that despite being one of the most famous people in the world, there is still one place he hasn’t been recognised… The Amazon rainforest.

'That was the only part of the world where I’ve actually been and not been recognised,' he laughed. 'The tribe we visited didn’t even know what football was!'

Giving more details about the campaign which has identified seven key regions of the world, where urgent funding is required to help save and change children’s lives, David also revealed that he hopes his children and wife, Victoria Beckham, will get involved.

'The children will get involved because I’m going to make them, but they’re excited about that… they know exactly what needs to be done.'

'Victoria is obviously working with the UN, which is very important as Victoria has got a voice which people also listen to and respect - she’s doing some great work.

'I want my family and friends to be involved, so hopefully they will make certain trips with me. They are only small but there will be certain trips that hopefully they will be able to make with me.'

Something 15-year-old Brooklyn is definitely keen to do: 'On the school run this morning, Brooklyn told me how much he wanted to go on a trip. Whenever I come back from a trip I tell the children all about it and show them the pictures I’ve taken. The children all understand my work.'

He added: '7 represents my ongoing commitment to helping children who need it most around the world. This is me stepping up my support - because I can, because I want to, because the outcome will help change the lives of millions of children. Everything I have done, my football career, my family, has led to this point – this is the moment for me to do what I can to help children in every corner of the world. I can’t stress how important this is. It’s a bold move from UNICEF, and from me, but it’s an important one.'

David Beckham made the comments on the Jimmy Kimmel Show

He's often voted one of the world's sexiest men, so it's quite surprising to hear David Beckham got a bit of a dressing down from 3-year-old daughter, Harper.

Speaking to chat show host, Jimmy Kimmel, David said, '"My little girl turned 'round to me the other day...I'd just bathed her and I was in the bath as well, so I got her out and you know, I was toweling her down and she said, "Daddy, I love you so much but I don't like you, you're so chubby!" I mean, I didn't think I was!'.

David thinks this might be down to his new job as the family taxi driver and the hours spend driving the kids to school: 'To be honest, I've become a taxi driver overnight with the kids, I'm literally an Uber driver now. I take them from seven in the morning to the schools - I have four drop-offs at four different schools - so I get that done in an hour and fifteen minutes. Then I pick my little girl up at 12, and then the boys at four, and then the boys train in a soccer academy every single night of the week so I'm busy every night until 9:30 and then I'm at home.'

It seems David is happy in his new role as taxi driver, adding, 'It's great. I've been playing football for the last 22 years, not always with the family, of course, I travel a lot. It's nice to actually be at home and spend some time with them and be a taxi driver.'

The footballer also admitted that his four kids are often embarrassed by him, but David still goes out of his way to make things worse on the school run: 'The younger one obviously loves me taking her to school. The two smaller boys, they love it, apart from my middle son Romeo, who's 12, he's just started - as soon as I take him into school, I'll go to kiss him and he'll turn his cheek. I will then pick him up and give him a bear hug and kiss him in front of his friends.'

'That happens with him and then my eldest, Brooklyn, who's 16 in March, I take him to school and he says to me, "Daddy, park around the corner." Sorry, "Dad, park around the corner," not Daddy, he's passed that. He tells me to park him around the corner, and then he gets out and he walks 'round to his school. He did it to me the other day after doing it about five times on the trot, so I'm driving around and he's just walking in his school, and I open the window and I said, "Brooklyn! I love you!" Obviously it didn't go down very well.'

Even Victoria couldn't change their minds... 'Victoria did have to remind them the other day, "Actually, you've got quite a cool dad". It didn't seem to make any difference.'

Congratulations are in order - Elton John and David Furnish officially married this weekend - nine years to the day after the couple tied the knot in a civil partnership ceremony.

And thanks to Elton John’s new Instagram account, we got unprecedented access to the star-studded ceremony, as well as an insight into the couple’s lavish Windsor home and impressive art collection.

The couple, who have two sons Elijah and Zachery, married in front of a giant Gilbert & George painting as well as a Damien Hirst dove sculpture which served as the alter.

Looking on was a stellar line-up of A-list stars and designers including David and Victoria Beckham, Burberry’s David Bailey, Hugh Grant and supermodel Lara Stone.

Brooklyn Beckham, Elton and David’s godson, appeared to be having a great time as he shared an adorable picture of himself and mum Victoria at the event. Captioning the touching image, he wrote: 'Amazing day with family and special friends. Congratulations Uncle Elton and Uncle David #sharethelove.'

Brooklyn wasn’t the only guest who took to social media – with the grooms also sharing every detail from the red rose printed invitation and menu to the hand-written congratulatory note from Adele and rose-time cake…

David Beckham’s party at Mark’s Club in London’s Mayfair was the hottest ticket in town last night, and as you can expect, it attracted a bevy of A-list stars. Among them were Liv Tyler and new beau Dave Gardner, party girl Mary Charteris, in-demand designer Christopher Kane - and of course Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung and Kate Moss.

It was style inspo aplenty as the three icons offered up three completely unique takes on evening dressing. From androgyny to boho and of course, 60s party girl, here’s what Kate, Alexa and Victoria wore last night. And most importantly, how you can transfer them into an everyday wardrobe…

Alexa Chung Swapping her trademark tousled ‘do in favour of two sleek, super-tight plaits, Alexa joined the ever-growing club of A-list fans who are making plaits as the evening hair du-jour. But that wasn’t the only take-away tip from Alexa’s stand-out look. Breaking away from her tried and tested dress and chunky boots combo and completely turning it on its head, Alexa wore an off-beat embroidered Vikshenko ‘Estella’ shirt with the two bottom button undone for that elusive cool-girl charm. Victoria Beckham Following her fashion trip up-north, where she wowed in a monochrome maxi skirt and ribbed jumper, Victoria proved herself to be part of the capital’s fashion elite with an appearance at one of the most in demands parties of the week. Wearing ripped skinny jeans and a high-neck silk white shirt, the A-list designer draped a sleek mannish wool long coat over her lithe shoulders. Understated and androgynous we love. Just as much as we love that gold hardware clutch.

The youngest Beckham is a fashionista in the making.

He dutifully supported wife Victoria Beckham at her SS15 show at New York Fashion Week, now it's David Beckham's time to shine.

The former footballer has been talking all things fashion, namely his new collection for Belstaff, which he launched in New York this week.

As well as chatting about his attempts at designing, motorbikes and turning 40 next year, the dad-of-four revealed a little bit about Harper Beckham's style, and, boy, does she sound like a fashionista in the making.

Speaking to Lorraine on her morning show, he said: ‘It'll take (Harper) a good 20 minutes to decide what to wear and then she'll change her mind... I'm not used to that. We've obviously got three boys that kind of just stick on anything and they're happy. Apart from the middle one, Romeo is a bit more selective but with Harper, she changes her mind all the time.'

And, not only does the three-year-old dress herself, she styles her dad too.

‘All little girls are like this, honestly it’s amazing to watch,’ Beckham continued. ‘She’ll come in and she’ll want to put my belt on or she’ll want to dress me or she’ll say “Daddy wear these shoes with that”, it’s amazing actually.’

When talking to Becks about fashion, it's only natural that the conversation veers towards some of his more notable, how do we say this, fashion experiments. And, aside from the matching leather outfits he and Victoria wore that time (pure fashion gold), it's the sarong he sported in 1998 that sticks in everyone's mind. He has no regrets, though.

'Sarongs are great. That's one thing I never regret because I thought it looked great and I would still wear it now,' he said.

'Over the years it's not just myself, everybody looks back at old pictures of themselves and thinks, 'I can't believe I wore that, or I wish I hadn't wore that, or what was I thinking?

'You make mistakes over the years or you wear things that were right at the time.'

One way of making sure he doesn't make fashion mistakes again would surely be to ask his designer wife to cast a judgemental eye over his outfits, something, he says, he does often.

He added: 'She has her say... well, she has opinions. I'm my own person so I think if something looks good then I'll wear it. But she definitely has opinions over the years about certain things I wore.

'When you're in a relationship, when you are married then you trust their judgement. And she's got a pretty good eye.'

2 Front Row Family Members Harper Beckham was noticeably absent from Victoria's frow this season, leaving daddy David and biggest brother Brooklyn to pick up the slack. We can only assume she had something even more fabulous to attend...

5 Hours Sleep VB left the office at 2am the night before her early show, following a marathon of last minute fittings from 10am-10:30pm and 3.5 hours of sound and lighting tech tests. All of this, we assume, leaves little time for shut eye. Say hello to her hardworking machinists!

VB re-worked her famous ‘sucky-sucky’ fabric (a heavy-duty jersey that pulls you in at all the right places) into trend-led silhouettes rather than body-con dresses – think slinky wide leg trousers and fluted midi skirts. She played with proper florals for the first time, but kept them cool and disjointed rather than full-on and fussy. 1 Adorable Good Luck Note OK, so not everyone in the world’s most famous family could make it for mum's big day. You might have noticed that David Beckham is everywhere at the moment. From the premiere of his long-awaited documentary Into The Unknown and the launch of his campaign with Prince William to put an end to the trade of ivory and rhino horn to the release of his new capsule collection for Belstaff, the man is omnipresent.

On Monday, Beckham and Prince William kicked off a new United For Wildlife campaign. And of course it had to have some sort of sports twist.

Entitled #WhoseSideAreYouOn, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the illegal trade of outlawed animal products and is supported by fellow athletes including Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton, cricketer Rahul Dravid, rugby world cup winner Francois Pienaar and basketball superstar Yao Ming.

'Our children should not live in a world without elephants, tigers, lions and rhinos. Enough is enough,' said Prince William on Monday. 'It is time to choose between critically endangered species and the criminals who kill them for money.'

Later that evening, the BBC aired David’s journey of discovery, Into the Unknown, which saw the former footballer and three of his closest friends go on a motorcycle trip from Rio de Janeiro into the heart of the Amazon Rainforest.

Becks was decked out in rugged biker gear strikingly similar to the clothes from his capsule collection for Belstaff, which coincidentally launched online this morning.

'Deciding to work with Belstaff was the easiest decision to make, as I already have a few vintage Belstaff classic jackets in my wardrobe. That, coupled with the fact I’m a biker, made it a perfect fit,' Beckham told WWD. 'My moto capsule collection is a reflection of what I wear day to day when I’m biking or relaxing. I buy a lot of vintage pieces and my collection reflects that feel. It all fits together and I wear every item in it.'

May we suggest NOT wearing his £1125 leather jacket down the muddy trails of the Amazon?
