Dua Lipa, singer, entrepreneur, actor, and Mermaid Barbie, played a new role last night: proud sister. Resplendent as ever in a structured corset gown and with best friend Sarah Lysander (and a trademark martini) in tow, she excitedly snapped and filmed her brother Gjin Lip as he worked the decks, dancing and hyping him up like the ultimate proud sister, before Groove Armada took over the booth.

Welcome to Hennessy and Warner Music Group’s 24 Hour Party Poodles, the most gloriously unhinged afters of this year’s BRIT Awards.

All Aboard the Party Express

Technically, the night began 200 miles away. Prior to the ceremony, artists and insiders, including Harris Dickinson, Nick Grimshaw, AJ Odudu, and Jaime Winstone (who belted out a rendition of Britpop hit You're Gorgeous mid-journey), gathered at Euston Station to board the legendary British Pullman. The art deco carriages, all polished walnut wood and plush upholstery, felt less like a train and more like a moving film set. In fact, the train has played host to many iconic films, and this year sees Baz Luhrmann unveil his bespoke decorated carriage on the historic train. Uniformed bellboys whisked guests into private cabins where flutes of Hennessy Paradis and icy Henny-Ritas appeared as if by magic.

Enter the Poodles

By the time the train pulled into Manchester, the tone had been set, and that booze-fuelled pandemonium continued post-awards show at The Cut & Craft, which had been transformed for the night. Looming at the entrance was a five-metre-tall poodle installation, a playful update on last year’s bejewelled bananas.

The theme, “Party Poodles,” riffed on the rebellious spirit of 24 Hour Party People and Manchester’s clubland mythology, blending archival nods to cultural icons and their dogs, from David Bowie to Winston Churchill, with glossy nightlife theatrics.

Inside, guests, including Rosé, who earlier that night had become the first K-pop artist to win a BRIT Award, danced on poodle-covered carpets while oversized inflatable sculptures floated overhead.

The Soundtrack of the Night

Upstairs, DJ sets rolled from G2 to Kim Turnbull before Gjin Lipa and Tommy Gold amped the energy to a fever pitch. Then came Groove Armada for a heady dose of nostalgia. Sequins sent spectrums of light across the room, glinting against the light of serving platters filled with bespoke Hennessy cocktails, including the Hennessy X.O Espresso Martini.

Downstairs, Manchester collective Suns of Acid, the next-gen offspring of 808 State and Happy Mondays, hosted a hedonistic basement club that paid homage to the city’s acid house roots. Fittingly, Bez was one of the last guests to leave, having traded his signature maracas for a gargantuan baker boy hat.

The Morning After

If most afterparties end in bleary-eyed goodbyes, this one came with a Sunday service. Guests reconvened aboard the British Pullman for the journey back to London, where a Sunday roast was served alongside Hennessy Ice Teas. Guests were overheard initially refusing the welcome Bloody Marys but were soon quaffing Champagne and signature Hennessy bevs. By the time London came back into view, the poodles had been defeated, but the mood hadn’t.

Saturday saw the 2026 BRIT Awards, with the 46th annual ceremony taking place this year in Manchester's Co-op Live arena, hosted by Jack Whitehall.

Lily Allen, Self Esteem, JADE and Raye were among this year's nominees, with major global names from Taylor Swift to Lady Gaga recognised in the International Artist categories.

However, it was Olivia Dean who truly dominated, sweeping up wins across four major categories and taking home the BRIT Awards for song of the year, artist of the year, album of the year and best pop act.

This weekend sees the 2026 BRIT Awards, with the 46th annual ceremony, hosted this year by comedian Jack Whitehall, taking place on Saturday in Manchester's Co-op Live arena.

And with A-listers from Lily Allen and Self Esteem to JADE and Olivia Dean receiving major nominations this year, the award show promises to be star-studded.

However, among the big names of the evening, there is one that has undoubtedly been the most talked-about, with the internet becoming convinced that Taylor Swift could be making a surprise appearance.

The Opalite singer is nominated in two categories at this year's awards, receiving nods in the 'International Artist of the Year' and the 'International Song of the Year' categories.

And after reports that the Life of a Showgirl singer's entourage was visiting Manchester earlier this week, it was rumoured that she might be making a special performance at Saturday's ceremony.

This theory went particularly viral after it was pointed out that Swift never included Manchester in her Eras tour line-up, with some fans believing that a surprise appearance at the BRITs may have always been on the cards.

And given her long history with the awards - receiving a Global Icon Award at the ceremony back in 2021, a surprise appearance wouldn't be so far-fetched.

Swift has not commented on the speculation, however host Jack Whitehall officially weighed in earlier this week, opening up about the situation in multiple interviews. And unfortunately for Swifties, she will not be in attendance.

"Look I’m not going to confirm if Taylor Swift is going to be there," he stated on Capital Breakfast. "That’s good journalism. I’m not falling into that trap."

"But yeah chasing your own adventure and every scenario you can, but the reason why people love the BRITs is because it is chaos and you cannot plan for everything and stuff does happen."

However, Whitehall did later confirm Swift's absence, stating on Hits Radio: "She will not be there. That sounded so unconvincing! But it’s true. She won’t be there."

It's almost that time - with award season in full swing, the BRIT Awards are back this weekend, and the biggest names in music are gathering to celebrate the very best in the industry. And, for the first time in its almost fifty year history, the BRITs will not take place in London and will instead be held at Manchester's Co-Op Live.

Last year, Jade Thirlwall's incredible red carpet look went viral and the former Little Mix star's enormous success as a solo artist earned her the coveted Best Pop Act statuette. Other winners from 2025 included Charli XCX, who picked up a total of five awards including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. When is the 2026 BRIT Awards?

The BRIT Awards 2026 will take place on Saturday 28th February 2026, with a red carpet live stream from 5.30pm on the official BRITs Instagram and Facebook accounts. The ceremony will air on ITV 1 and ITVX from 8.15pm to 10pm.

The invite promised the party would be “bananas” and it certainly was.

Last night, guests including Charli XCX, Laura Whitmore, Munroe Bergdorf, Jess Glynne, Alex Scott and the White Lotus’ Jason Isaacs partied under giant, jewel-crusted bananas at the best Brits after party in town. Hosted by Warner Music and Hennessy, the BRIT Awards afterparty was held at Claridge's with the theme ‘nocturnal glamour’.

Following the dress code to perfection, Charli XCX certified her party girl credentials by skipping an outfit change in favour of heading straight to the afters. A vision of gothic after-hours glamour, Charli XCX’s sheer gown by Dilara Findikoglu was the latest example of the naked dress by way of the lingerie trend that has been taking over the red carpet this awards season.

Inspired by Freddie Mercury’s I’m Going Slightly Mad video, the space was transformed into an extravagant tropical phantasmagoria with banana-shaped chandeliers and giant inflatable monkeys.

The theme extended to the drinks (all Hennessy, of course) with bespoke ice cubes shaped like monkeys clutching Brit Awards.

The Streets’ Mike Skinner did a set, Rocco Ritchie (son of Madonna and Guy Ritchie) did a set and MC Ping Pong, Toy Tonics, and Aziya kept guests dancing into the wee hours.

Other guests included Awards host Jack Whitehall, Lennon Gallagher, Maya Jama, Christian Louboutin, and Cruz Beckham with girlfriend, Jackie Apostel.

Since the BRIT Awards first launched in 1977, it has platformed some of the biggest names in the music industry. Of course we all remember Geri's tea towel Union Jack dress, but what about the time when Katy Perry's dancing house fell off the stage? Yes, we all let out a collective gasp when Madonna's cloak went rogue, but does anyone remember when Rihanna went nu-rave with The Klaxons?

Robbie Williams challenging Liam Gallagher to a fight

Back in the 90s and 00s, the BRITs thrived on pure chaos. In 2000, Robbie Williams won British Single of the Year Award for She's The One and used his acceptance speech to challenge Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher to a fight. He declared to the audience: "So, anybody like to see me fight Liam? Liam, a hundred grand of your money and a hundred grand of my money. We’ll get in a ring and we’ll have a fight and you can all watch it on TV, what d’you think about that?" In a word: messy.

Kim Kardashian's awkward selfie with Ant and Dec

Nowadays, she's more likely to be seen FROW at fashion week. But back in 2015, Kim Kardashian was at the BRITs - and she took part in an squirmishly awkward skit with none other than Ant and Dec. After attempting to take a selfie with the pair for a long and painful 30 seconds, it turned out that the phone was locked anyway and she didn't get her photo with the British duo. Shame.

Kendrick Lamar's technical nightmare

Ever the showman, Kendrick Lamar's 2018 BRIT Awards performance was a mesmerising combination of enormous flames, smoke machines, and Rich the Kid smashing a Lamborghini. But viewers were left confused when his set started and he remained motionless on top of a perspex box for several minutes. The track restarted a few times as he lay there, and fans on X (formerly Twitter) were asking if he'd 'fallen asleep'. At the time, a source told Metro: "It sounded like the music wouldn’t play properly." Even the biggest stars in the world have to deal with technical difficulties.

Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress (that was actually a tea towel)

Okay, this dress has almost single-handedly marketed the magic of the BRITs since its debut in 1997. Legend has it that Geri decided to pin a Union Jack tea towel to a black Gucci dress to make her outfit pop for this performance, and not only did it work on the night - it has gone on to become one of the most iconic pop culture moments in history.

Alex Turner's monologue and mic drop

The Arctic Monkeys picked up Album of the Year for AM in 2014, and although they were the first band to ever win Best Album and Best British Group three times, it was Alex Turner's drawly discussion about the 'cyclical nature' of rock'n'roll, followed by a literal mic drop, that had everyone talking. Emeli Sandé stood to the side looking perplexed, and the singer wrapped things up by saying: "Thank you very f***ing much for this. I do truly appreciate it... And er, yeah. Invoice me for the microphone if you need to."

Adele's reaction to getting cut off during her acceptance speech

When Adele won Best Album in 2012, she was giving her thanks in an emotional acceptance speech for all of 20 seconds, until host James Corden shuffled on stage sheepishly to wrap things up. Knowing what was coming, she said to him: "You're going to cut me off?" Continuing sarcastically, she added, "Can I just say then, goodbye and I'll see you next time around, yeah?" before throwing up her middle finger.

No nostalgic BRIT Awards round-up would be complete without a sprinkle of legendary performances. The Fugees! Fleetwood Mac! Rihanna! Amy Winehouse! They've all taken the BRITs stage. So here are some of the most infamous BRIT Awards performances of the last 25 years. Icons only.

Adele singing Someone Like You, 2011

Often touted as one of the most emotional live performances this side of the noughties, Adele's tear-jerking performance turned her into an A-lister overnight. She had just released her second album, 21, and this rendition of Someone Like You won her millions of new fans across the globe.

Joss Stone's surprise appearance with Robbie Williams, 2005

At just 17 years old, Joss Stone did the impossible - she breathed new life into closing-time favourite, Angels. Joining Robbie Williams on stage at the 2005 BRIT Awards, the pair belted out the ballad to an adoring crowd, and she also managed to seamlessly kick her shoes off mid-song without anyone noticing. What a pro.

Stormzy advocates for the Grenfell fire victims, 2018

During an impassioned performance at the 2018 BRIT Awards, Stormzy took the opportunity to directly address the then-Prime Minister Theresa May when he asked: "Where’s the money for Grenfell?" He was applauded for advocating for the victims of the 2017 fires, which took the lives of 71 people and left hundreds homeless.

How could this absolutely iconic rendition of Wannabe and Who Do You Think You Are go without a mention? At the height of all things girl power, platforms and peace signs, this could well be one of the Spice Girls most famous live performances.

Raye's utterly electric Ice Cream Man/Prada/Escapism medley, 2024

After breaking the BRIT Awards record for the most wins in one night, Raye delivered a stunning performance that guaranteed goosebumps - think heart-wrenching piano ballad, power choir and a full-blown jazz band. Flawless.

The Traitors well and took over our lives for the entire month of January, so it's no surprise that we're still talking about it now. The show, hosted by the iconic Claudia Winkleman, became something of a phenomenon this year. Although the UK version of the series first landed on our screens in late 2022, The Traitors season 2 was - some might say - perfect reality TV. There were cartoonish villains (ahem, looking at you Paul) and there were underdogs we were rooting for (never forget Jazatha Christie) - and the UK collectively gasped for air when Traitor Harry took the cash prize from his castle BFF Mollie.

But two contestants who really formed their own fanbase over the course of The Traitors was mother and son duo, Diane and Ross. Viewers fell in love with their sneaky gameplay, as well as Diane's iconic 'funeral' and Ross' taxi winking, and it seems the pair are not done yet when it comes to appearing on our screens. 

Tonight at the BRIT Awards, in one segment co-hosts Maya Jama and Clara Amfo appeared at one of the round audience tables wearing familiar-looking green velvet hooded cloaks. As they each showed a board sharing who they would like to see perform, the camera moved along to none other than Diane who was joining the pair with Ross. Iconic. 

They had also written singer songwriter Raye's name on their 'voting' boards, and fans on X - formerly Twitter - are living for the cameo. 

One user wrote: "Diane and Ross were not on my #Brits bingo card though."

Another added: "Diane and Ross on the #BRITs is iconic. The best thing about it so far!"

A third commented: "The biggest cheer of the night has been for Ross and Diane."

Another noted: "So funny that Harry… the winner of The Traitors… is at The Brits & yet it's Diane & Ross doing Traitors skits."

Forever legends. 

The celebs were out in force tonight to celebrate the very best in music at the BRIT Awards 2024. Raye made history when it was announced that she had been nominated for seven awards and she had a huge night taking home a whopping six statuettes, making history with the most wins in one year ever, while Maya Jama's black dress had us swooning and Roman Kemp's 'insulting' joke didn't go down too well with viewers. But he did get Kylie Minogue to drink beer from a shoe.

The BRIT Awards 2024 kicked off with an iconic red carpet this year, as the likes of Dua Lipa, Raye and Shanina Shaik all made an excellent case for the return of the little black dress. Ellie Goulding gave a phenomenal performance alongside Calvin Harris, Roman Kemp managed to get the one and only Kylie Minogue to drink beer out of her shoe (yes, really), and his co-host Maya Jama was taking shots with Ru Paul's Drag Race UK star, Bimini Bon Boulash. All in all, it was an eventful night from the off. 

However, viewers were less than impressed with Roman after his 'insulting' introduction of Green Day. The co-host, who was sharing the BRIT Awards presenting duties with Maya Jama and radio presenter Clara Amfo, told the audience that the iconic rock band were preparing to grace the stage to present the award for Best British Group. 

As they were coming onto the stage, Roman said: "To present our next award for British group are two genuine rock gods. They have sold over 75 million records and released 14 albums - they are very much the American Busted. Please welcome from Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong and Tré Cool."

Users took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their shock, dismay and confusion at how the radio presenter introduced the band.

One person wrote: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA GREEN DAY HAVE JUST BEEN DESCRIBED AS THE "AMERICAN BUSTED."

Another added: "Gosh I’m sure Green Day, with 75 million album sales, are thrilled at being described as the ‘American Busted’- Busted sold 5 million."

A third said: "I think Green Day being called “the American Busted” might be the most insulting thing I’ve ever heard. Ever."

A fourth wrote: "Did I just hear roman kemp call Green Day the American version of BUSTED????? I would SUE."

While the host could have been trying to make a joke about the band, it didn't appear to land with viewers. 

Awkward? Just a little. 

With award season in full swing, celebrities are gathering on both sides of the pond. The A-listers have been busy in LA at the Critics Choice Awards and Golden Globes, and the biggest names in music were honoured at the GRAMMYs. Here in the UK, the BAFTAs were a night to remember, and this weekend we'll be tuning in for the iconic BRIT Awards. 

This year, singer-songwriter Raye has absolutely dominated the shortlists with no less than seven nominations - making her the most nominated artist in a single year ever. She received nominations for British Album of the Year, British Artist of the Year, New Artist, Song of the Year (twice), Pop Act and R&B Act. Previously, the most nominations in a single year was 6 - a record jointly held by Craig David, Gorillaz and Robbie Williams. 

Raye said that she was 'floored' by the outpouring of support, saying via Guardian: "I am currently a mess of overwhelming emotions and confusion as to how this even happened to be honest."

Ahead of the show on Saturday, she has also been awarded an early BRIT Award for Songwriter of the Year. The award was announced before the live ceremony and Raye was selected by a panel of judges. In response to the win, she said: "I am so so honoured and blown away, honestly to be given this prestigious award for Songwriter of the Year, it is my very first Brit award and I will treasure this trophy very much. I am so grateful to be recognised as a songwriter as this is a craft I am so passionate about and have been since I started my journey as a musician, and I’m very grateful to those who voted for me to have this award."

In the past, the award show has been criticised for its lack of female nominees, and while gendered categories were scrapped in 2022 to address the balance, it actually left the shortlists male-dominant. This year, the BRIT Awards organisers have increased the nominations in the Best Artist category from five to ten to ensure fair representation.

Awards season has kicked off, with the Grammys earlier this month, the BRIT Awards, as well as the fast approaching BAFTA Awards and the upcoming Oscars, which will take place next month. 

When it comes to awards ceremonies celebrities never fail to bring the glitz and glamour, and that was definitely the case at this year's BRITs, which took place at London's The O2 Arena on 11 February and was hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan. 

From Lizzo and Maya Jama to Sam Ryder and Charli XCX, we have got all the insight on the skincare, make-up cosmetics, as well as haircare products the A-listers swear by in advance of the music extravaganza.  

Lizzo 

Lizzo graced the stage at the BRITs with her Big Grrrls dancers wearing an epic cone outfit yet still nailing the choreography.

The 34-year-old performed an epic medley of her hit tracks, which included Special, 2 Be Loved and, of course, About Damn Time, which sent us into a frenzy, as did her make-up look. 

Lizzo's make-up team have shared the skincare tools and serums, as well as other make-up essentials, they used to get the songstress ready for the evening. 

To prep her skin ahead of the performance, celebrity make-up artist, Alexx Mayo, relied on FaceGym and Charlotte Tilbury. 

Alexx shared: "To create Lizzo’s super sculpted look for tonight’s Brit Awards, I used a combination of FaceGym’s famous tools to help me prep her skin to perfection. You can’t beat that just left the studio feeling but when you can recreate it from home – or in a hotel room, you’re already winning."

On the MUA's Instagram account, he shared a string of close up photos of the singer to showcase the complete beauty look, and detailed the products used, so we can replicate it - or attempt to at least. 

To prepare Lizzo's skin, Alexx used the FaceGym Pro and FaceGym's
Face Ball, which is a miniature weighted ball, and the Multisculpt Tool, to sculpt her skin, contour her assets, while also boosting the skin's circulation for a brighter and plumper visage. 

FaceGym was also said to be used on the likes of Shania Twain, Ellie Goulding, Vick Hope, Becky Hill, Ella Henderson and more stars who attended the event. 

Once the skin was prepped, Alexx went on to use Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Serum Crystal Elixir and the iconic Magic Cream to give that added glow and hydration everyone's skin needs. 

In one Instagram Story Alexx panned to the array of beauty essentials ready to perfect Lizzo's make-up for the evening, which included an array of Charlotte Tilbury make-up cosmetics, which was, quite literally, the sight of dreams.

Alexx used Charlotte Tilbury's Flawless Airbrush Complexion as the base, before adding a touch of the new Pillow Talk Matte Blush Wand in the shade Dream Pop to Lizzo's cheeks, and a sweep of the Hypnotizing Eye Pops in shade Pillow Talk Ultra Violet, which has yet to drop, for the purple hue on her eyelids we predict will be the eyeshadow trend of the season.

Charli XCX

Charli XCX made a powerful statement at the BRIT Awards 2023, not only in her sheer glitzy maxi dress, and her after party ensemble, which included a slogan crop top with the phrase "Real Winner" emblazoned on the front, but her honesty when she addressed the lack of female and diverse representation in the categories at the BRITs. 

For the evening the Boys hitmaker kept her make-up simple, bar the bold smoky eye make-up, which was perfected by make-up artist Lilly Keys. 

The MUA has revealed YSL Beauty, as well as Lilly Lashes false eyelashes were used to make the dramatic look, and they're super affordable falsies at just £12.

The thick winged eyeliner, which gave us Amy Winehouse vibes, was swept across Charli's face close to her hairline with a dark black kohl, while her lids were contrasted with a subtle grey shadow. 

Lilly shared: "I used Lilly Lashes Barely Flare Individuals to give that hot girl grunge glam vibe on Charli’s eyes to let the liner really shine. 

"To accentuate her dramatic winged eyeliner style, I placed the fluffy Barely Flare lashes the outer corners to lift and elongate the eye.”

Sam Ryder

Sam Ryder made it known he was not quite bright eyed and bushy tailed prior to the BRIT Awards, and only had a few hours sleep because he was so excited to perform and attend the bash. 

In a bid to conceal those tired eyes, it appears Sam used 111 SKIN's Celestial Black Diamond Eye Mask prior to gracing the stage. 

Although this has yet to be confirmed, the eye masks he showcased on his Instagram Story look very similar to the ones from the celebrity-loved brand, which we swear by. 

Speaking in his Instagram Story ahead of the event, the Space Man singer said: "I got two hours sleep last night. It was probably the excitement but more probably the jetlag.

"My neighbour gave me some of these.  I hope they work. I really do hope they work."

The 111SKIN Celestial Black Diamond eye mask are simple to use, all you have to do is peel off and place under your eyes - and they cost just £14. 

Maya Jama 

Maya Jama never fails to impress, and with two outfit changes during the evening, she certainly had us lost for words. 

Letitia Sophia was the celebrity make-up artist behind her beauty look, while Harold Casey was the genius behind her sleek updo for the evening. 

Letitia has yet to reveal exactly what beauty products were used to create the Love Island hosts classy look. 

However, Harold has shared the exact tools and products used to nail the hairstyle, which lasted through the entire BRIT Awards, and Maya's Coca Cola afterparty on a boat - that is saying something. 

Some of the go-to haircare brands Harold relied on to perfect Maya's do included ghd, Milk and Blush, Color Wow, as well as Got 2 B, and Living Proof. 

To style the hair Harold turned to ghd's Helios Hairdryer, Soft Curl Tong and natural Bristle Brush. 

Of course, prior to applying any heat to Maya's brunette tresses Harold used ghd's Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray to protect her hair from any damage. 

To ensure the style stayed in place for the event, Harold turned to the iconic, and celebrity loved, Color Wow Dreamcoat Spray to reduce frizz and flyaways while also helping to achieve that desired sleek shine, Color Wow's Raise the Root for added volume, as well as the brand's Shine Mist for that wet look. 

Harold also lathered Maya's hair with Living Proof's No Frizz Oil to keep the style in place and looking sleek without any pesky strays from falling out of place. 

While Living Proof's Flex Hair Spray, and Got 2 B's Glue Hair Spray were the go-to's to fix Maya's hair securely.

The BRIT Awards 2023 only comes around once a year, and it is one of the major celebrity awards when awards season hits. 

This years BRITs was hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan, and took place at The O2 Arena in London on 11 February.  

Harry Styles won big, as he scooped four gongs at the ceremony, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and the Pop/R&B Act. 

The evening saw epic performances by Lizzo, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, as well as a little tension around the lack of diversity in the various categories. 

There were also some epic moments, viewers may have missed, which happened on and off stage.  However, we have rounded up a few of the most talked about moments causing a stir, so you can enjoy all the tea from the event. 

Harry Styles kiss

Harry Styles picked up four awards at this years BRIT Awards. 

His energetic performance wowed the crowds, his acceptance speech, which saw him reference his former One Direction band members, made jaws drop, and his reaction was enough to warm hearts. 

But there was something else, which viewers may have missed. 

Photos, and video clips, have been shared of Harry walking off stage to plant a little kiss on fellow musician Lewis Capaldi's lips, before the duo enjoyed a long embrace and a friendly catch up. 

The moment happened just after Harry picked up his first award of the season. 

Lewis and Harry were both nominated in the Song of the Year category, but Harry took home the title. 

Nineties and noughties bands reunite

The BRITs saw a few iconic nineties and noughties bands reunite, which we are absolutely here for. 

Sugababes made an appearance at the star-studded event, which saw the original trio, made up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy, grace the red carpet. 

The original line up was formed in 1998, but in 2001 Heidi Range replaced Siobhán.  

The trio changed once again when Amelle Berrabah replaced Mutya Buena in 2005.

Four years later, Jade Ewen joined the fold in replace of the last original member Keisha. 

However in 2011, it was reported the girl group had split for good. 

In 2019, the original threesome, comprised of Keisha, Mutya and , Buena and Siobhán won back the rights to their group name Sugababes, and released a cover of Run for Cover single in 2021, and their appearance at the BRITs proved the girls are back for good.

The Sugababes were not the only group giving us nostalgia at the BRITs, as there was a mini S Club 7 reunion too.

Jo O'Meara, Rachel Stevens and Tina Barrett graced the BRITs red carpet, although Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, and Paul Cattermole were absent from the evening.

The trio's appearance came shortly before they teased a mega reunion is on the cards to mark 25 years since the release of their debut single.

After the BRIT Awards, the band tweeted: "Ain’t no party like an S Club Party. Announcement coming 7pm this Monday 13th February on BBC ’s The One Show."

Sam Capaldi

Sam Capaldi? Who's that? We know what you might be thinking, and you're absolutely right, we mean Lewis Capaldi. 

One blunder from the evening, which has sparked huge conversation since, was when host Mo Gilligan got a little tongue tied and introduced Sam Capaldi on stage, instead of Lewis. 

Lewis, 26, was one of the first artists to perform on stage, and prior to belting out his hit track Forget Me, which was nominated for the Song of the Year award, Mo fluffed the introduction.

He said: "Here with his number one single Forget Me it's the brilliant - go crazy - Sam Capaldi."

While Lewis took no notice of the blunder, Mo, 34, swiftly apologised for the hiccup. 

He said: "I have to apologise, I did call him Sam. It just goes to show how strong the drinks are at the brit awards, they are not playing around."

Becky Hill blunder 

Host Mo Gilligan was not the only one to fluff their words at the BRITs, as Becky Hill appeared to get her words in a spin too. 

The 28-year-old singer won the Best Dance Act award at this year's BRIT Awards, ahead of Bonobo, Calvin Harris, Eliza Rose and Fred Again.

During her acceptance speech, she appeared to reference previous nominees in the category, and let out a swear out, which did not go down well with viewers. Whoops!

The Crazy What Love Can Do hitmaker said: "Wow it's heavy. S*** I did have something planned [to say].

"I want to thank the BRITs committee for putting me on the shortlist of the dance act for another year.

"It is such an honour to be nominated especially alongside the amazing Eliza Rose and the incredible Raye."

But she attempted to save the speech, as she added: "I think Beyoncé said it best in her Grammy speech. We all have the queer community to thank for the best genre on earth."

Hello... Adele?

It's not an awards ceremony without a couple of technical issues, right? This year's BRIT Awards had a few. 

Throughout the evening there were moments when the sound was muted, which some viewers believe was to filter speeches and cover technical difficulties. 

Nearer the end of the evening the announcement of the Album of the Year award, as well as David Guetta's showstopping performance to bring the event to the show, were stalled. 

During the delay a rendition of Adele's I Drink Wine, which was from last year's BRIT awards was shown. 

However, this was not enough to resolve the technical faults, which audiences still don't know exactly what that issue involved. 

So, to bide time Mo made his way to a table with Love Island host Maya Jama, Joel Dommett and AJ Odudu's table, where he repeatedly asked the guests if they were enjoying the evening. Awkward!

Bey hide

Beyonce arrived late to the Grammys earlier this month, but was absent from the BRITs entirely.

However, the Crazy In Love hitmaker appeared via a video message to accept her award for the International Artist of the Year award. 

In her speech the award-winning singing sensation said: "I'll see you on tour!"

The BRIT Awards have been one the UK's biggest music award ceremonies for 45 years, and with the 2023 BRIT Awards returning this weekend - the first time they've ever taken place on a Saturday night - we take a look at the biggest moments from the iconic show that we will never forget. 

While we love the BRIT award red carpet fashion, just as memorable are the performances from our favourite artists across the world, from Adele to the Spice Girls. Plus, those totally unexpected moments that leave everyone open mouthed (ahem, Madonna's cape). 

Here are the best BRIT Awards moments ever to get you excited for this weekend...  

1. The Spice Girls 

BRIT awards + the Spice Girls = an iconic moment in British history. In 1997, they performed Wannabe and Who Do You Think You Are - and we can still feel the girl power. 

There's no denying the band's influence. When Jay-z accepted his BRIT award in 2008, he let everyone know he was inspired by the Spice Girls - just like us.

2. Union Jack Geri

The performance was definitely memorable, but nothing is as iconic as Geri Halliwell's union jack dress. Even if you didn't watch their BRITs performance that night, you know this dress.

The best part? Apparently the union jack was actually a tea towel sewn onto the dress, according to The Mirror. 

And her stylist told her not to wear it - thank goodness she didn't listen.

3. Madonna's fall 

Only Madonna could fall and get right back up again. Apparently, her Armani cape was just a little too tight, and it was either fall or be strangled - so she went for the embarrassing but safer option. 

In true Madonna style, it didn't stop her putting on a show.  

4. Anne Marie trips up too 

Madonna isn't the only one to take a tumble on the BRITs stage. Last year, Anne Marie fell during her performance of Kiss My and sprained her ankle in the process. Ouch.

It was her first ever BRITS performance but she followed in Madonna's footsteps and kept going with the vocals.

5. Amy Winehouse performs Rehab

Amy Winehouse performed Rehab in 2007 and it was one to remember. It still makes us tear up watching it...

6. Artic Monkey's mic drop

"Invoice me for the microphone if you need to." 

After accepting an award on behalf of the Arctic Monkeys in 2014, Alex Turner said that to the crowd before - you guessed it - dropping his mic. It was one small moment that instantly became added to the BRIT Awards memory book. 

7. Adele gets us all teary 

Adele gave a spine-tingling, no frills performance of Someone Like You in 2011, cementing her place as one of the UK's most talented artists. We still get a little emotional thinking about it now. 

8. Adele is interrupted during her speech

Excuse me!? How could anyone interrupt Adele... 

But when the British icon accepted her speech, she was rudely interrupted. 

A year later, Adele was awarded Album of the Year, her speech was cut short by James Corden, which she took surprisingly well.. minus the middle finger.
