Blake Lively continues to make headlines, with this month seeing the Gossip Girl star reach a settlement with her It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni, following a lengthy legal battle.

Lively, 38, accused her director and co-star, 42, of sexual harassment on set, and for allegedly coordinating a smear campaign against her, filing a legal complaint in December 2024. Baldoni has denied the allegations.

A trial for Lively v Wayfarer Studios was officially set for 18 May 2026, however following a year and a half of public legal drama, a settlement was reached last week.

Lively herself has not spoken publicly since the news of the legal settlement. However, her husband of 14 years Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram this weekend to post a rare tribute to her.

"I appreciate this mother beyond measure," read the sweet message, posted to his Instagram Stories on Sunday to mark US Mother's Day.

"She is kind. She is fearless," his post continued, alongside two photographs of the A-list couple. "She's the absolute love of my life - and to our four little kids, she's the life of their love."

Lively and Reynolds share four children together - James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Olin, 3.

This comes after another public statement from Reynolds just last month, with the Deadpool actor speaking out to praise his wife's "integrity" throughout the legal battle.

"Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife," Reynolds explained to host Willie Geist during a recent interview on Today's Sunday Sitdown Live series. "People have no idea what is really going on.

"I’ve never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do."

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal battle remains ongoing, following the release of their 2024 box office hit, It Ends With Us.

Lively, 38, made a legal complaint against Baldoni, 42, in December 2024, accusing her director and co-star of sexual harassment on set, and for allegedly coordinating a smear campaign against her.

Baldoni has denied the allegations, taking legal action against Lively, but his $400 million countersuit has since been dismissed.

A trial for Lively v Wayfarer Studios has now been set for May 2026, with both Lively and Baldoni expected to take to the stand.

However, in one last opportunity to avoid a trial, both parties attempted to resolve the situation at a court-ordered settlement conference this week.

The unsuccessful settlement hearing, taking place in Manhattan, was overseen by Judge Sarah L Cave, reportedly involving six hours of negotiations between the two parties, with both Lively and Baldoni in attendance.

However, while Baldoni arrived at the New York City courthouse accompanied by his wife Emily, Lively attended solo, with her husband Ryan Reynolds being noticeably absent.

This has caused a major conversation online, with fans and followers surprised that the 49-year-old actor was not in attendance, particularly given his previous involvement, with Reynolds reported to have confronted Baldoni in the past.

"I do think it's really weird and shows a weakness that Ryan Reynolds was nowhere to be seen," journalist Kjersti Flaa noted on her podcast.

"He has come out publicly saying how important it is to support his wife, that he wasn't angry enough in all those text messages that he sent to Sony and WME, pushing people to support Blake. And now when it really matters, he's not there."

However, according to one lawyer, Reynolds' involvement is likely the reason for his absence, speculating that Lively's legal team may have encouraged him not to attend.

"Ryan Reynolds was not with Blake Lively at the settlement yesterday because he listened to her lawyers who told him to stay ... away," Ivy League lawyer Theresa Concepcion reported in a TikTok video to her 21.5k followers.

Concepcion went on to allege that Reynolds had damaged Lively's case against Baldoni, reporting: "there were so many things that Ryan Reynolds did to Justin Baldoni himself that justify Justin reaching out to his PR team, that there's no legal way a jury is going to be able to find retaliation."

She continued: "Since he ruined her case and since the public has had this huge backlash, Blake's lawyers know that it's really unlikely that Ryan Reynolds' presence would help in the court of public opinion.

"If Ryan had shown up yesterday, the image might have been 'Ryan is showing up to defend his wife' and 'he should have been angrier.' And 'is he going to be bullying Justin Baldoni during the settlement negotiations?' So if I was Blake's lawyers, I would have said Ryan needs to [stay at] home. And he did."

It has also been speculated that Reynolds may have chosen not to attend the settlement hearing in order to avoid becoming a distraction, and to keep the focus on the case. This was reportedly the reason for Reynolds' absence from Lively's deposition last year, with Yahoo reporting that Lively was advised to face the proceeding alone.

The trial for Lively v Wayfarer Studios is officially set for May 2026.

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have been incredibly close friends for many years, but all that is rumoured to have changed amid all the Justin Baldoni lawsuit. Now, one source is claiming things have become quite strained between the pair, to the point where Taylor isn't answering the Gossip Girl star's messages anymore.

"[Blake] has been reaching out to [Taylor] with texts, voicemails and even emails begging to mend what they once had," a source alleged to the Daily Mail. "Taylor hasn’t responded to any of Blake’s pleas." Meanwhile, many of the popstar's celebrity friends have reportedly severed ties with Blake as the drama rages on. One insider claimed: "Gigi [Hadid's] loyalty is to Taylor."

Blake filed a lawsuit against Justin, her costar and director on the film It Ends With Us, back in December, accusing him of sexual harassment and of orchestrating a smear campaign against her - allegations which he has denied. While on the surface the ongoing legal battle has nothing to do with Taylor, she became implicated in a couple of ways.

For one thing, Justin previously alleged that Blake had text him about the power of her 'dragons' - alluding to her friends and associates within the industry, with many speculating that Taylor was one of these people. Later, Justin's team was given permission to see texts between Blake and Taylor pertaining to It Ends With Us, with a judge writing: "Given that Lively has represented that Swift had knowledge of complaints or discussions about the working environment on the film, among other issues, the requests for messages with Swift regarding the film and this action are reasonably tailored to discover information that would prove or disprove Lively’s harassment and retaliation claims."

Meanwhile, Justin's team previously issued a subpoena for Taylor — meaning she would have had to testify in the trial — but the request was thrown out by the court. There was also a claim that Blake had "threatened" to share private texts from Taylor, though a lawyer for the actress called this "categorically false."

According to a source who spoke to Page Six, Taylor resents being brought into the ongoing lawsuit. They previously claimed to the publication: "She will forever be furious at how Blake quite clearly was using her for clout and leverage in her dealings with Justin. She really hates that Blake would even think like that, let alone write the things she did in that text. The damage Justin did by revealing those texts — the 'dragons' text most especially, and by his initial subpoena, even though he dropped it — is lasting and probably permanent." Before that, a source had told People: "Their friendship has halted. Taylor wants no part in this drama."

Blake and Taylor have been close friends for many years, often appearing out in public together at restaurants and sports games. The singer is also godmother to Blake's children, and named a song, betty, after her third daughter.

It Ends With Us continues to make headlines a year after its release, with Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni locked in an intense legal battle. In December 2024, following months of speculation that there had been a cast fallout, Lively took legal action against her co-star and director, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and alleging that he orchestrated a smear campaign against her during the press tour. Baldoni, who has denied all claims against him, then went on to counter the legal filing with a $400 million lawsuit of his own, suing Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane for civil extortion and defamation.

While the legal battle has taken a number of surprising turns in recent months - with Lively dropping key claims and Baldoni's team drawing Taylor Swift into the proceedings - it appears that things are moving forward, as the Gossip Girl star is reportedly scheduled for her deposition as soon as next week. As per court documents seen by People, Lively is due to face questions from Baldoni's legal team on Thursday 17th July. According to additional reports from TMZ, the deposition will take place in New York City and Ryan Reynolds will not be present. However, a source told the publication that Lively is 'ready'.

In the US, a deposition is an out-of-court testimony whereby a witness is questioned under oath.

Last month, Baldoni's countersuit was dismissed by a New York judge. On 9th June, Judge Lewis J. Liman stated that the actor and his production company had 'not adequately alleged that Lively's threats were wrongful extortion rather than legally permissible hard bargaining or renegotiation of working conditions'. Lively responded with a statement discussing the 'pain' of the ongoing lawsuit, writing on Instagram: "I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story."

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are expected to appear in court in March 2026.

Justin Baldoni's legal team has been officially allowed to access text messages between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift that are relevant to Blake's experience on the set of It Ends With Us. As seen in official court documents issued by Judge Lewis Liman, and as reported by Us Weekly, the judge has ruled that, despite the validity of Blake's objections that accessing these text messages would only serve to perpetuate a splashy public narrative for Justin's side, said texts would also provide valuable information relevant to the case.

"Given that Lively has represented that Swift had knowledge of complaints or discussions about the working environment on the film, among other issues, the requests for messages with Swift regarding the film and this action are reasonably tailored to discover information that would prove or disprove Lively’s harassment and retaliation claims," Judge Liman wrote.

"Lively’s motion is rooted in the broader concern that the Wayfarer Parties are using demands for communications with Swift not 'to obtain information relevant to claims and defenses in court, but to prop up a public relations narrative outside of court.' But this concern does not justify denying the Wayfarer Parties relevant discovery."

This ruling comes in response to Blake's team's request for a "protective order" against Justin's "continuing demands" for relevant messages with Taylor.

But in a statement to Us Weekly, a rep for the Gossip Girl actress objected to Justin's apparent desire to implicate Taylor in the court case, despite the singer not necessarily being central to the drama. "Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties demanded access to Taylor Swift’s private communications — despite having already subpoenaed and then withdrawn that subpoena," Blake's rep said.

"Baldoni’s desire to drag Taylor Swift into this has been constant dating back to August 2024 ... We will continue to call out Baldoni’s relentless efforts to exploit Ms Swift’s popularity, which from day one has been nothing more than a distraction from the serious sexual harassment and retaliation accusations he and the Wayfarer parties are facing."

Justin previously subpoenaed Taylor, meaning she would have had to testify in the court case, but after significant pushback from her team and Blake's, the subpoena was eventually dismissed. Justin's countersuit against Blake has also been thrown out. The court proceedings are now solely based on Blake's original lawsuit against Justin and his allies, which she filed in late December.

Meanwhile, Taylor and Blake's formerly close friendship is said to have suffered as a result of all the drama. Their relationship has reportedly "halted" and one source has even claimed that Taylor is "furious" at Blake for dragging her into this messy situation.

In particular, Blake allegedly texted Justin while they were filming: "If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you." People have widely assumed that Taylor was considered one of these "dragons."

It seems there's bad blood between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively. Blake sued Justin in late December, accusing the Jane The Virgin actor of sexual harassment and of orchestrating a smear campaign against her, accusations which Justin categorically denies. The actor launched a countersuit, accusing Blake and some of her allies of extortion and defamation, but his suit was thrown out by a judge earlier this month.

If you've been following all the legal drama so far, you'll know that Justin's team subpoenaed Taylor, meaning she would have had to testify in the trial, but the subpoena was eventually thrown out after pushback from Taylor's side.

In response to the decision, Blake's team clearly sided with Taylor. "We supported the efforts of Taylor's team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process," they said in a statement last month.

Even though Taylor is no longer officially implicated in the court case in that way, the whole ordeal has reportedly put a real strain on her friendship with Blake. The two women were previously so close that Taylor was even the one to reveal the name of Blake's third child with husband Ryan Reynolds in her 2020 song "betty," but their relationship has suffered in recent months.

A source previously told People: "Their friendship has halted. Taylor wants no part in this drama." A second insider added that the two women were "taking some space" from each other, but that they were "not no longer friends." Hopefully they're able to patch things up!

Blake Lively reportedly couldn't be happier that Justin Baldoni's $400 million countersuit against her has been dismissed by a judge. In fact, she even "cried with relief" over the news, according to a source in a new report. Justin's lawsuit - which was filed in response to Blake's own suit against him - also targeted her husband Ryan Reynolds, publicist Leslie Sloane, and The New York Times.

In a new report from People, multiple insiders spoke about Blake's reaction to the most recent motion. An insider claimed: "She’s obviously relieved. They both are. She feels vindicated." As far as Blake's legal team is concerned, a third source added: "Everyone is happy."

Blake also took to Instagram to discuss the 'pain of a retaliatory lawsuit' in a story shared with her followers. In the statement, she wrote: "Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organisations united in defending women’s rights to speak up for their safety. Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us. While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back."

She continued: "I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story. There are protections out there. Check out some of the incredible organisations below for resources and information."

Blake added: "With love and gratitude for the many who stood with me, many of you I know. Many of you I don’t. But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you."

On Monday 9th June the news broke that Justin's countersuit had been dismissed by the judge who was looking after the case. The decision came after Blake's legal team had previously filed a motion to dismiss said case, and as you might expect, the Gossip Girl star's lawyers were delighted by the judge's latest ruling.

"Today's opinion is a total victory and a complete vindication for Blake Lively, along with those that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties dragged into their retaliatory lawsuit, including Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and The New York Times," lawyers Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb said in a statement seen by the publication. "As we have said from day one, this '$400 million' lawsuit was a sham, and the Court saw right through it. We look forward to the next round, which is seeking attorneys’ fees, treble damages and punitive damages against Baldoni, [Steve] Sarowitz, [Melissa] Nathan and the other Wayfarer Parties who perpetrated this abusive litigation."

Justin countersued Blake and co. after the actress sued him in late December, alleging that he had sexually harassed her on the set of their film It Ends With Us, and claiming that he had orchestrated a smear campaign against her during the press tour for the film. Justin has denied all allegations against him. He went on to file his own lawsuit shortly after, accusing his costar and her allies of extortion and defamation.

The ensuing legal battle has been complex, and is showing no signs of ebbing. In recent weeks, Taylor Swift was also brought into proceedings when she was subpoenaed by Justin's team, something which was later successfully withdrawn by her team.

Blake Lively has withdrawn some of the original claims she made in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. As reported by People, the Gossip Girl star asked for the claims "intentional infliction of emotional distress" and "negligent infliction of emotional distress" to be dismissed from the ongoing legal case. The request was made on 2nd June 2025.

A lawyer for Justin, Kevin Fritz, has claimed that the move was a way for Blake to refuse authorised access to her therapy notes and other medical information as part of the court case. Justin's team requested this information to help build their defence against claims of emotional distress.

In a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman, Justin's lawyer claimed that Blake asked to withdraw these specific claims "instead of complying" to their request for her health information. He argued that this constitutes a refusal on Blake's part "to disclose the information and documents needed to disprove that she suffered any emotional distress."

But Blake's lawyers have denied this accusation. Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb said in a statement to People: "Once again, this is a routine part of the litigation process that is being used as a press stunt. We are doing what trial lawyers do: preparing our case for trial by streamlining and focusing it; they are doing what they do: desperately seeking another tired round of tabloid coverage." They added that Blake "continues to allege emotional distress, as part of numerous other claims in her lawsuit, such as sexual harassment and retaliation, and massive additional compensatory damages on all of her claims."

The two actors' legal battle continues to prove contentious. Justin and Blake's conflict began during their time on the set of It Ends With Us, which Justin also directed. Blake filed a lawsuit against the Jane the Virgin actor in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and accusing him of orchestrating a smear campaign against her. Justin has denied all claims against him and subsequently counter-sued Blake, alleging "civil extortion, defamation and invasion of privacy," according to BBC News.

The singer was subpoenaed by Baldoni's team earlier this month, with the Jane the Virgin actor claiming that Taylor was involved in Blake's alleged attempts to claim control over creative decisions for the film. However, Taylor has denied any involvement and is reportedly fighting the subpoena, with her legal team claiming it 'is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.'

Although Blake's team requested to overturn Taylor's subpoena, on Wednesday Justin's legal team filed a letter to the judge stating they believed it was a necessary move. The letter claims that Blake had 'coerced' Taylor to publicly take her side in the ongoing dispute and delete their private text messages, alleging that Blake demanded Taylor "release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively's possession would be released."

However, in a statement to People, Blake's attorney Mike Gottlieb denied the accusations, stating: "This is categorically false. We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality."

He continued: "This is what we have come to expect from the Wayfarer parties’ lawyers, who appear to love nothing more than shooting first, without any evidence, and with no care for the people they are harming in the process. We will imminently file motions with the court to hold these attorneys accountable for their misconduct here."

Blake and Justin are locked in a fierce legal battle over events that transpired during filming of their 2024 movie It Ends With Us. Rumours of a feud first began circulating during their press tour for the film, when Blake and Justin — who starred alongside one another in the film — didn't do any press interviews together. At the premiere, Justin (who also directed the film) did not pose with any other cast members.

Then in December 2024, Blake officially filed a lawsuit against her co-star where she accused him of sexual harassment as well as orchestrating a smear campaign against her. Justin has denied all allegations. In response to the claims against him, he swiftly proceeded to launch his own lawsuit against Blake (which also included her husband, Ryan Reynolds) for defamation.

As for Taylor Swift, she has been named as part of Justin lawsuit. The Jane the Virgin actor claims that Taylor was involved in Blake's alleged attempts to claim control over creative decisions for It Ends With Us. However, Taylor's team has already denied her involvement in the drama.

A rep for the singer called the subpoena an attempt to dredge up 'tabloid clickbait.' The rep stated to People: "Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history."

They added: "The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, My Tears Ricochet. Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case."

Venable, the law firm that has represented Taylor for many years, was subpoenaed in the case too, and more specifically the attorney Douglas Baldridge. In a recent development, Venable has asked the court to dismiss the subpoena in documents obtained by Billboard. The firm wrote: "Venable had nothing to do with the film at issue or any of the claims or defenses asserted in the underlying lawsuit. There is no reason for this subpoena other than to distract from the facts of the case and impose undue burden and expense on a non-party."

The celebrity couple showed up for the premiere of Blake's new movie, Another Simple Favor, in New York City on 27 April. The Gossip Girl star looked especially radiant, flashing giant grins at the cameras.

On the red carpet, she stunned in a Disney princess-worthy dress in pastel, silvery mint by Tamara Ralph — one of her go-to designers — worn with large drop earrings and a statement bracelet.

Ryan, as for him, looked sleek in a textured grey suit and a pair of movie-star sunglasses.

The couple later shone at the after-party, with Blake changing into an all-yellow outfit, featuring a trendy butter yellow t-shirt paired with a silk, figure-hugging silk yellow skirt and yellow belt, all by Sergio Hudson. She also signalled her readiness to party with a super fun martini glass-shaped clutch bag by Judith Leiber, and a sunny smile.

Blake has been busy promoting Another Simple Favor — which also stars Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding — for weeks now.

Because of this, the actress has made a bunch of public appearances of late, but has tended to leave her husband at home for these occasions.

While it's not at all unusual for Blake to step out alone, it's possible that she's been doing so a bit more than usual as hers and Ryan's legal battle against her It Ends With Us director and costar Justin Baldoni rages on.

As the actress' legal battle against It Ends With Us director and costar Justin Baldoni rages on, the studio behind her latest movie is protecting Blake with one simple yet effective move.

Blake stars in Another Simple Favor, the sequel to the 2018 thriller/comedy A Simple Favor, which is out on Prime Video on 1 May.

The Amazon movie studio released a brand new trailer on YouTube this past Monday, and made sure to disable comments in a move which Page Six interpreted as a clear way to protect Blake from nasty commentary.

The publication reports that previous videos allowed comments, but on a teaser trailer posted on 26 February, comments seem to have since been disabled.

Blake stars in Another Simple Favor alongside Anna Kendrick, Michele Morrone, and Brit heartthrob Henry Golding.

Amid Blake and Justin's very complex legal battle, which began in earnest in December of last year, fans have very much taken sides — with some heavily criticising Justin, and others taking aim at Blake.

But according to a new report in People, Blake "knew there would be backlash" over the court case, but knowing this didn't deter her from wanting to seek legal action.

"This wasn't a decision made on a whim — it was months in the making," a source told People. "She knew there would be backlash, and she prepared herself for how mentally and emotionally difficult it would be."

The insider added: "But she can't go through life knowing she didn't stand up to something she believed was wrong."

They also explained that Blake wanted to set an example for her three daughters in speaking up for herself.

Blake has accused Justin of sexual harassment and attempting to smear her reputation. Justin has denied the accusations and countersued Blake, as well as her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane.

Blake Lively hasn't been having the easiest time lately, as she's embroiled in legal drama with her It Ends With Us director and costar Justin Baldoni.

But that's not stopping the actress from promoting her work. More specifically, Blake is super excited to be part of the upcoming film Another Simple Favor, the sequel to the 2018 flick A Simple Favor — which also stars Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding.

Last week, the Gossip Girl star attended the film's premiere at SXSW (South by Southwest) in Austin, Texas, and by the sounds of it, it all went supremely well.

Blake turned up looking as stunning as ever in a funky, strapless Renee Masoomian latex dress, with a plunging neckline, full skirt, and contrast waist. She accessorised with jewellery from Hollywood favourite Lorraine Schwartz plus earrings from Maria Tash and shoes by Christian Louboutin.

"Watching @asimplefavor opening night @sxsw felt like a rock concert," Blake gushed in the caption of a recap Instagram post.

"Thank you to the very best audience. Texas turns it out. Making this movie was already the gift, every element of it. To share it with you all and feel the love returned to us was the best feeling. Thank you for having us Austin. And yes. It’s latex"

Allison Janney, who is also in the film, commented: "I’m so sad I couldn’t be there with you guys!!"

Blake has limited the comments on her post, which makes sense as she has been on the receiving end of a lot of hate lately.

Her legal battle with Justin over what transpired on the set of It Ends With Us has been bitter, and costly, so far, and it's showing no signs of ebbing.

As for Another Simple Favor, it is a comedy/thriller, which the Guardian has called a "supremely silly sequel," but not in a bad way? Probably best to watch it on Prime Video in May so you can see for yourself. Just to be sure!

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were not on the red carpet at Sunday's Oscars, nor did they attend the Vanity Fair after-party.

Their absence isn't really surprising at all — and, no, it probably wasn't because they're laying low amid Blake's legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

In fact, Blake and Ryan have never actually attended the Oscars as a couple. Not only that, but they've only ever attended the Academy Awards once each — Blake in 2009 and Ryan in 2010. The two met that year, and were together by 2011, per People.

Additionally, neither Blake's film It Ends With Us nor Ryan's film Deadpool & Wolverine was nominated. The former was nominated for four lesser known awards this season, while the latter received a commendable 53 nominations and 15 wins (so far), including at the Critics Choice Awards, the Grammys, the Golden Globes, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

ELLE also notes that Blake and Ryan weren't asked to present awards at the Oscars this year, which could have been another reason for them to attend.

Though it's probably not the primary reason why they skipped the event, Blake's legal situation concerning her It Ends With Us director and costar was probably part of the decision.

She and her husband have avoided the spotlight since Blake first filed a legal complaint against Justin in December, as reported by People. However, they did make a splashy appearance at the SNL50 celebration on 16 February.

During the show, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey asked Ryan "how's it going?" and he said: "Great!" before adding: "Why, what have you heard?"

In the background, Blake, who was originally smiling, looked up at her husband with surprise and didn't seem too pleased with the quip.

The battle between Blake and Justin has been long and winding so far, with several concurring lawsuits, and no end in sight.

The Gossip Girl alumni first filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star in December, accusing the actor and director of sexual harassment, toxic working conditions and orchestrating a smear campaign against her, which he denies. It was quickly followed by a number of legal filings from Justin, including a defamation countersuitand claims that Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, hijacked the film based on Colleen Hoover's best-selling book.

In the wake of their legal battle, more lawsuits have been filed by those who have been implicated in the feud and Blake and Justin are reportedly expected to go to trial in March 2026.

However, amidst the It Ends With Us legal battle, a clip of Blake discussing how she operates on movie sets has resurfaced and is now going viral. During a talk at the Forbes Power Women's Summit in 2022, Blake explained that some of the directors she has worked with have 'resented' her behaviour as she 'needs authorship' on set, and wants to do more than 'just be the actor'. She said: "When I went into meetings, I would just seem like I’m just there to be the actor and ready to get the gig. I wouldn’t reveal that I actually need to have authorship in order to feel fulfilled. So I think that for them, sometimes that might have felt like a rug-pull because you’re like, you’re trying to assert yourself into something that we didn’t hire you to do."

Expanding on how she handled those situations in the video, she continued: "It’s just as important to say, 'OK, um, I believe in this and that’s why I’m standing up for it and that’s why I’m not being difficult.' And then there are other moments to go, 'Am I the a-hole in the room?' It’s about being up front about knowing what you actually need versus... trying to get the job and then, you know, once you’re in it, sort of revealing the scope of your needs to be, you know, fulfilled."

Blake has not yet commented on the video.

It isn't the first time that old interviews of Blake have resurfaced in recent months, as the actress faced heavy online backlash last summer during the It Ends With Us press tour. However, the cast were publicly supportive of Blake and a number of her friends and family members spoke out on her behalf, including author Colleen Hoover.

Whether or not you're an NFL fan, the chances are that your social media feeds were crammed with all things Super Bowl this morning. Taylor, who has been dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce for almost two years, is a regular fixture at his games alongside his mum, Donna, and a handful of her A-list friends. Last year, she was famously photographed with a bevy of celebs at the championship game, including Blake Lively, Ice Spice and her long-time friend, Ashley Avignone. However, Blake was noticeably absent this year, with an insider claiming that the It Ends With Us star is lying low amidst her ongoing legal battle with co-star, Justin Baldoni.

A source initially claimed to the Daily Mail: "Blake has not left the house since this started practically. Taylor wants nothing to do with this trial and court case."

However, another insider suggested that Blake's decision to miss the high-profile game was to ensure that she didn't 'overshadow' Taylor and Travis' 'big night'. In January, Taylor's name was suddenly brought into Blake and Justin's lawsuits, following the release of text messagesfrom the actress. Justin also appears to refer to Taylor as Blake's 'megacelebrity friend' and one of her 'most trusted partners'.

Another insider told the publication: "Even if Taylor did invite Blake, Blake would not come. She would never want to make Taylor's big night – where she is going to see the love of her life play in another Super Bowl – about her. Blake would not want to overshadow Taylor ever."

The source went on: "She is staying close to home because she doesn't want to deal with the added stress. She is focused on her family and her kids right now. She knows she cannot stay in hiding forever."

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's ongoing legal feud has been widely covered in recent months, as the two actors have launched legal cases against one another following the release of It Ends With Us. The actors have filed cases pertaining to their experiences both on set and in the aftermath of the release, and now New York Federal Judge Lewis J. Liman has set a trial date for them should their case get that far. According to Sky News, the date in question will be in March 2026.

It Ends With Us was the catalyst for the fallout. Fans noticed early signs of trouble between Blake, who starred as Lily Bloom, and Justin, who directed and also starred as her on-screen love interest Ryle Kincaid. When the press tour started last summer, they noticeably kept their distance and did not give any interviews together. During junket interviews, Justin remained alone while Blake was often paired with some of her other costars. Rumours of a feud escalated when Justin wasn't pictured with any other cast members at the film's premiere in August, as noted by Entertainment Weekly.

Blake faced an onslaught of criticism at the time, and in December 2024 she filed a legal complaint against Justin, accusing him - and other members of the film crew - of sexual harassment. She also accused him of trying to damage her reputation via a team of crisis publicists he had hired. Justin has refuted all claims against him.

Soon afterwards, The New York Times published an investigation into the film, which included snippets of text conversations between Justin and his publicists alluding to a strategic smear campaign against Blake. But Justin soon retaliated, filing his own lawsuit against Blake, accusing her of attempting to smear his reputation. Justin and his legal team have also released footage and other pieces of evidence they allege disproves some of the claims made by Blake.

In response to this, the Gossip Girl actress's lawyers said: "The endless stream of defamatory and extrajudicial media statements must end."

Justin's lawyer responded that their camp would 'respect the court' but added: "All we want is for people to see the actual text messages that directly contradict her allegations, video footage that clearly shows there was no sexual harassment and all the other powerful evidence that directly contradicts any false allegations."

Ryan Reynolds may have slightly put his foot in it in a recent interview, clearly not having paid enough attention to a recent incident involving David and Victoria Beckham. Let us explain.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Deadpool actor was asked about how he and his equally famous wife Blake Lively manage to keep their children out of the public eye.

"We try to give them as normal a life as possible," he explained. "I try not to impose upon them the difference in their childhood to my childhood or my wife’s childhood. We both grew up very working class, and I remember when they were very young, I used to say or think, like, 'Oh God, I would never have had a gift like this when I was a kid,' or, 'I never would’ve had this luxury of getting takeout,' or whatever. Then I realised that that’s not really their bag of rocks to carry."

Ryan and Blake are proud parents to daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5, and son Olin, 1. But the part of this that's being slightly picked apart is Ryan's claim that both he and his wife "grew up very working class." As reported by The Cut, Ryan did indeed have quite a modest upbringing, but Blake? Not so much.

The Gossip Girl star's dad Ernie was an actor, producer and director, and even starred as Blake's dad in the 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. As for Blake's mum Elaine, she worked as an actress and talent manager. If this story sounds eerily familiar, it's because almost the exact same blunder happened with the Beckhams last year.

In the Netflix docu-series Beckham, Victoria said on camera that both she and David grew up working class, with the former footballer poking his head in and telling his wife "be honest" several times before she eventually admitted that her dad drove a Rolls-Royce when she was little.

Blake Lively has been at the centre of mounting social media scrutiny since the start of the It Ends With Us press tour. The film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel hit UK cinemas on 9th August, and while the movie has been a resounding success - it has reportedly grossed $187 million worldwide since its release - it has been mired by rumours of feuds, fallouts and reported tensions between members of the cast.

The film stars Blake as protagonist Lily, with Justin Baldoni both directing and starring opposite her as abusive boyfriend, Ryle. The story follows their relationship and depicts Lily's experience of partner violence - something which Blake has been criticised for not discussing in depth during press interviews. Justin has also addressed concerns that the film romanticises domestic abuse, though any scrutiny levelled at him has been largely overshadowed by the growing backlash against the Gossip Girl star.

Now, Blake's co-star Brandom Sklenar, who also stars in the film as Lily's former love interest Atlas Corrigan, has shared a statement defending her, as well as author Colleen Hoover, and slamming those who are 'vilifying' the women involved in the movie. Sharing his message on Instagram, he wrote: "I wanted to take a minute and address all this stuff swirling online. Colleen and all the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves.

"Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about. It is, in fact, the opposite of the point. What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were when making this film. It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online."

He continued: "Someone very close to me has been struggling with a relationship that has mirrored Lilly’s closely. I feel a responsibility to bring this to life and help spread that message further. Prior to my involvement in this film, she had not heard of the book. It was only then that she read it. She credits Colleens book and subsequently this film with saving her life.

"Trust me when I tell you, there isn’t a single person involved in the making of this film that was not aware of the responsibility we had in making this. A responsibility to all the women who have experienced generational trauma – domestic abuser – or struggle with looking in the mirror and loving who they see. This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their shit together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions."

Brandon also added that the film is meant to 'validate, recognise, instill hope, build courage and help people feel less alone', adding: "Ultimately it’s meant to spread love and awareness. It is not meant to once again, make the women the 'bad guy', let’s move beyond that together. All I ask is that before you spread hate on the internet, ask yourself who it's helping. Ask yourself if your opinions are based in any fact. Or if you simply want to be a part of something. Let’s be a part of something better together. A part of a new story being written for women and all people everywhere."

Fans noticed that the cast of It Ends With Us had not been photographed with Justin on the red carpet, and that he was taking interviews separately from the other actors. Jenny Slate, who stars in the film as Lily's best friend, also went viral for dodging questions about working with him, while Justin has since hired the same crisis PR team that represented Johnny Depp during his trial against ex-wife, Amber Heard.

Over the last few weeks, the film adaptation of Coleen Hoover's bestselling novel It Ends With Us has been getting a lot of heat on social media. The book - which was first published in 2016 but was catapulted back into book charts six years later after a popularity burst on TikTok - explores the impact of domestic violence and abusive relationships. However, the film caused controversy earlier this year when the movie stills were released, with some claiming the film was being marketed as a romantic comedy.

This month, the same criticism has been levelled at the film once again - and this time, Blake Lively has been accused of playing down the plot's central themes. The Gossip Girl star takes the lead role, playing protagonist Lily opposite Justin Baldoni, who plays her onscreen partner Ryle and also directs the movie. The pair have been at the centre of 'feud' rumours since the start of the press tour, with many noting that neither Blake nor Justin have taken interviews together and have remained extremely vague when answering questions about one another.

But netizens have taken issue with Blake during the publicity run, and a number of her interviews have been gaining traction on social media. During her press appearances, many have criticised her for not being more vocal about her character's experience of domestic abuse, and she has been called 'tone deaf' for encouraging women to see the film with their 'girl friends and florals', and for promoting her own haircare and drinks brands.

In response to the growing backlash, Blake posted on her Instagram stories earlier this week sharing the following message, alongside a link to the National Domestic Violence Helpline: "One in 4 women aged 18 and older in the US alone have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Intimate partner violence affects all genders, including more than 12 million people every year in the United States. Everyone deserves relationships free from domestic violence."

Justin Baldoni has not been receiving the same criticism, but he has been embroiled in fallout rumours since the start of the press tour. During interviews and red carpets appearances, other actors have seemingly distanced themselves from him by not posing for pictures together, and a clip of his co-star Jenny Slate dodging a question about working with him went viral on X. Many of his colleagues also appear to have unfollowed him on social media.

Blake has not commented directly on the growing backlash, but ticket sales for the film have not been damped by the controversies - in fact, It Ends With Us has already grossed $115.5 million worldwide since its release last weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Justin Baldoni has hired a PR crisis manager as rumours of his feud with Blake Lively and other cast members from It Ends With Us rage on.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed on Tuesday that Justin has hired crisis expert Melissa Nathan, founder of The Agency Group. While the company denied the publication's request for comment, the description on their website claims that the group "redefines the rules of reputation management." Staffers at the company "partner with world-class artists, leaders of industry, innovators and global brands to create sustainable and impactful solutions."

If this is the first you're hearing of this whole saga, you may be wondering why Justin would need "reputation management" in the first place.

Well, over the last couple of weeks, the actor-director has come under scrutiny from fans, who believe there's been drama brewing behind the scenes of It Ends With Us, which came out in cinemas on Friday.

One major sticking point for internet sleuths was that Justin — who both directed and starred in the film as Ryle Kincaid — did all of his press in the run-up to the release on his own. Meanwhile, Blake was typically paired with Brandon Sklenar or Jenny Slate, among other members of the cast and crew.

While this seemed odd to fans, there have been a lot more "clues." There are rumours of "creative differences" between Justin and Blake, plus the fact that the Jane the Virgin actor didn't pose with anyone from the cast or crew at the film's New York premiere — while Blake, Jenny, Brandon and other members of the cast all took photos with one another.

Jenny also helped to stir up the rumours when she all but dodged a question about what it was like to work with Justin during the premiere.

Still, Justin has been very complimentary towards Blake throughout this whole ordeal — even suggesting that she would be a great pick to direct the film's sequel, It Starts With Us.

OK, so technically Ms. Swift has only done this once — but since Blake and Ryan have a new baby whose name and gender they are yet to share with the world, and since Taylor just released a new album, people are understandably wondering whether the popstar may have snuck a baby name reveal into The Tortured Poets Department.

During a recent appearance on the Today show, co-host Savannah Guthrie said to Ryan: "Taylor Swift keeps dropping [your children's names] into lyrics. Just tell us this: is the fourth child's name, the baby's name, anywhere on the new record?"

The Deadpool actor deadpanned: "We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child's name is. And we'll say this — we're still waiting, so Taylor, let's maybe start, you know... She's a prolific writer, I mean, what are we doing here? And 'lazy' is not a word I'd attach to Taylor."

On her 2020 album Folklore, Taylor cleverly used the song "Betty" to reveal Blake and Ryan's third daughter's name, which they had yet to confirm publicly. (You guessed it, she's called Betty.)

Fans figured this out pretty easily, as the song's lyrics also included the names "James" and "Inez," which are the names of the famous couple's two eldest daughters.

The acting duo discreetly announced the birth of their fourth child in February, but like we said, we don't know the baby's gender or name yet.

Blake Lively's upcoming film, It Ends With Us, is already proving controversial weeks before its release in cinemas. Earlier this week, fans were given their first look at the movie via four stills, and some are unhappy with the photos in question as it's believed that they look too 'romantic' and lighthearted.

Online, people have taken issue with the photos soft and sweet appearance given the context of the novel on which the movie is based. The book It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover tells the story of a physically abusive relationship, whereby Ryle Kincaid (played by Justin Baldoni) is violent towards Lily Bloom (played by Blake Lively). However, in one of the photos that were shared, they seem to be happily singing at karaoke, and in another, they are passionately holding each other's faces.

Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the selection, with one person writing: "Still insane to me that they promote this as a romance book/movie."

Another added: "This is not a love story fyi."

"I find it very odd that the book and now the movie are promoted as a romance story," said someone else.

Fans of the novel already appear to feel a disconnect between the source material and the upcoming movie, claiming that the film is being promoted as a romantic movie - which diverts from its actual subject matter. The belief is that this could be misleading and potentially harmful if people go to see it without prior knowledge of the difficult scenes and themes.

And this isn't the only reason fans of the book aren't happy about the way the film is shaping up. Many people have commented that they're not sure about the casting, either, with a large contingent saying that they pictured Abigail Cowen and Theo James as the leads instead.

This is Blake Lively's first film since 2020's The Rhythm Section, while Justin is known for Five Feet Apart and Jane The Virgin.

It Ends With Us is out in cinemas in the UK on 21 June.

Ryan took the opportunity to troll Blake as she enjoyed the night out with her friends - and the clip he posted is now going viral. 

While the Gossip Girl actor was at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas with her pals, Ryan shared a photo of himself at home as the highly-anticipated trailer for the next instalment of the Deadpool franchise premiered during the Super Bowl halftime. As the clip for Deadpool & Wolverine launched, he uploaded a snap of himself next to a TV showing the trailer, writing: "Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer? Also has anyone seen my wife?"

His Instagram followers were quick to comment, with one writing: "Before I snitch where did she tell you she was going?"

Another added: "I may be wrong but I think she’s at the Taylor Swift concert."

A third said: "Your wife or Taylor Swift's wife?"

Since she started attending Travis' games, Taylor has dealt with some unsavoury reactions to the amount of air time she gets when she's supporting her boyfriend (ahem, Jo Koy at the Golden Globes) - but last night, she joined the joke by taking shots with Blake when she came on screen, and was surrounded by A-listers left, right and centre (even Paul McCartney swung by to say hello to her). The annual event is one of the biggest nights in fashion and takes place on the first Monday of May, with Vogue's Anna Wintour at the helm. Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, this year's theme was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, with the most recognisable faces in the industry paying homage to the late Chanel artistic director. 

From Doja Cat arriving as his infamous pet Choupette, to Anne Hathaway's tweed nod to Liz Hurley's iconic Versace pin dress, the Met Gala 2023 was undoubtedly a night to remember. 

However, Blake - who went viral last year thanks to her colour-changing dress - didn't attend this year. 

The actor and former Met Gala go-chair revealed just days before that she wouldn't be gracing the iconic steps. 

Talking to People on last week, she said: "You will not [see me on the red carpet.] But I will be watching."

When a reporter noted her iconic 2022 dress, she said: "Thank you, that’s very sweet. I’ll be wearing that on my couch on Monday."

Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, welcomed their fourth child earlier this year. The couple, who married in 2012, are parents to daughters James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3, with their fourth child - whose name has not yet been publicly shared - born in February. 

As the night unfolded, Blake shared a photograph to Instagram stories showing herself pumping in a bathroom, writing: "First Monday in May."

ICYMI, Ryan Reynolds — the Canadian actor from Deadpool and Blake Lively's husband — bought a Welsh football team back in 2021. We know, we were surprised by this turn of events too.

He and fellow actor Rob McElhenney ~teamed~ up to invest in Wrexham Association Football Club, with the hopes of elevating the team to more prestigious leagues, according to CNN.

On Sunday, Ryan made the trip over to the UK to watch his team play in the FA Cup against Sheffield United, and he brought along the perfect guest: his and Blake's daughter James, 8. He also brought Shawn Levy, who directed The Adam Project, according to Us Weekly.

Whilst the match was off to a bad start for Wrexham, the game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Afterwards, Ryan tweeted: "When @RMcElhenney and I got into this it all felt so impossible. But impossible is @Wrexham_AFC’s favourite colour. That was one of the most exciting things I’ve EVER seen. Thank you each and every Wrexham supporter who came out and aimed your heart at that pitch tonight"

Meanwhile, Blake trolled her husband by posting an Instagram Story photo of him with the caption: "I bought ESPN+ today just to watch my husband experience crippling anxiety live. Worth it."

It was a big deal for James to come along to such a public event, because Ryan and Blake rarely step out with their kids in public settings. They have spoken out at length in the past about their choice to protect the children's privacy, which sadly isn't always respected.

The couple, who got married in 2012, share daughters James, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3, with Taylor Swift famously revealing the youngest's name in her song "Betty." The famous couple are also currently expecting their fourth child together.

In her speech at the awards ceremony, which was held at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Blake praised Ryan's "heart, his philanthropy, his humour, his integrity, his unmatched work ethic", according to E!.

The 35-year-old went on: "So many of those stunning qualities comes from his homeland, Canada.  And giving back to the country that gave him his life is critical to who he is as a person."

The real tear jerker of her speech came when Blake, who has daughters James, Inez, Betty and is expecting her fourth child with the 46-year-old actor, revealed Ryan is a homebody and always checks in on at home, and on his family no matter how busy his schedule is, which is an act he has always done. 

Blake shared: "It was essential to keeping him grounded, to keeping him sane, to keeping him, him. 

"And now I am his home and our girls are his home. And just like that 19 year old boy, he races home. Whether it's from across the globe or a meeting across the street, his is hardwired to get home. 

"If he came home from set not in his wardrobe, we would be very concerned. Soaked in mud, fake blood, real blood, prosthetic scars, superhero suits, tap shoes or clown makeup, daddy always comes home."

Every year Blake Lively has delivered on the Met Gala theme, and she never fails to impress with her eccentric outfits for the annual fashion extravaganza.

This year the Gossip Girl  actor nailed the Gilded Glamour theme for the evening, which was hosted by Anna Wintour and took place at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Blake's Versace gown certainly stole the show - aside from the shock proposal on the red carpet - and for more reasons than one.

The 34-year-old actor's dress changed colour, yes, you read that right. Her ensemble appeared to be rose and copper tones when she first made her way up the iconic stairs of the Met Ball with Ryan Reynolds. But, after undoing the bow at the back, the design transformed into a completely different dress, with blue and copper tones, which was said to replicate the Statue of Liberty's oxidation over the years.

Blake has revealed the design was also a tribute to other New York landmarks; the celestial map emblazoned on her train was a nod to the zodiac constellations printed on the ceiling of Grand Central Station, while the embellished detailing symbolised the iconic Empire State building.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about the look, Blake said: "I looked at New York City architecture for this event, and I loved the copper patinas. I asked Versace if we could do it and they said, 'Oh god, OK, let's try!' And we did."

She told a separate E! News reporter: "This is architecture from the Empire State Building. It [has] lots of little references to New York City", referencing the embellished detailing on the designer gown.

However, there was something else.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed Blake appears to co-ordinate her Met Gala dress to the carpet. Sounds bizarre, but there is method in the magic - just look closely.

This year the carpet paving the way for the A-list guest list was red, white and blue - similar to Blake's gown.

But that was not the first time The Shallows star's outfit blended in with the floor.

Cast your mind back to 2018 when Blake slipped into the burgundy red and gold design, which reportedly took over 600 hours to make, that she accessorised with a gold tiara.

Look closely and you will notice the carpet is also cream with Merlot red pattern, while the steps have a neutral geometric print, which looks very similar to the detail on her gown, as well as the colours on Blake's dress.

In 2017 Blake relied on Versace once again and stunned in a figure hugging gold embellished dress with a blue feathered hem and train detail.

Yes, you guessed it, that year the carpet was also cream and blue.

Go back even further to 2016, when the theme for the annual event was Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology, Blake wowed in a soft pink Burberry dress, with a matching sheer cape attached to the ethereal creation, which had contrasting red floral detailing on the trim.

The same year the carpet was a red, pink and cream printed design.

Is this planned? We don't know. But we are here for it, and applaud Blake, as well as the designers, for the attention to detail - even if it isn't intentional.

I've got to be honest with you, I've got a major girl crush on Blake Lively that goes way beyond her role as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.

I mean don't get me wrong, S knew her Chanel handbags from her Louboutin heels, and who can forget that gold Georges Chakra wedding dress?

But Blake Lively's iconic style goes way beyond the silver screen. She hits just the right sartorial notes between girl next door and Hollywood star. Can you actually believe Blake doesn't have a stylist?

Think the red feathered gown she donned for The Age Of Adaline premiere in New York, the monochrome Gucci ballgown she wore in Cannes in 2014 (scrap that, her entire Cannes wardrobe is fantastic), or the rose gold Gucci dress she wore to the 2014 Met Gala.

But that doesn't mean she's not afraid to take some risks too, if the Atelier Versace gold/feather dress she wore to the 2017 Met Gala is anything to go by.

And don't even get me started on Blake Lively's maternity style either. Oh ok, I will anyway. While expecting both of her daughters with Ryan Reynolds, she was determined not to put one of her Jimmy Choo-clad feet out of line.

Her earlier sartorial choices also make me quite nostalgic: Sheer tops and off-the-shoulder dresses were just a few of her most memorable pieces after she bagged a role in hit film The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants alongside Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel.

Blake Lively has spoken out against post-pregnancy body ideals, suggesting that there is too much pressure on women to lose weight quickly after giving birth.

Commenting that the media’s scrutiny of women’s bodies and the abstract ‘celebration’ that makes the headlines when a woman’s body has bounced back after pregnancy, Blake described the pressure as ‘unfair.’

‘You don’t have to have be Victoria’s Secret-ready right away,’ she said. ‘You gave birth to a human being!’

Blake made her comments during a slightly awkward video interview with Sunrise in Australia, where the presenter began by introducing her as someone who is ‘so well-known for being Mrs. Ryan Reynolds’ and commenting that he’d never seen someone ‘so exquisitely dressed at an interview.’ The actress, who is currently pregnant with her second child, could only laugh as she was wearing a denim jacket. *Puts head in hands*

After asking a few questions about Blake’s latest film, The Shallows (which was just released in Australia) the interviewer then began to ask how she got into shape for the role, suggesting that it’s great for an actress to take on an action-packed role after their pregnancy, as the tabloids will typically ask about she achieved her post-baby body.

And that’s when Blake responded. ‘It’s so unfair, it’s so celebrated,’ she said. ‘I think a woman’s body after having a baby is pretty amazing. You don’t have to have be Victoria’s Secret-ready right away. You’ve just done this incredible miracle that life has to offer. I would really like to see that celebrated.’

We couldn’t agree more.

Blake Lively has announced that she is shutting her lifestyle website Preserve just over a year after its launch - which is sad news, of course, but in true Blake style, her parting press statement is kind of amazing.

The actress, who gave birth to daughter James in December and is married to Ryan Reynolds, acknowledges, as CEOs so rarely do, that she was responsible for the company’s failure to take off but says she also has some quite fabulous comeback plans in the pipeline.

‘We have an incredible team of people who do beautiful work, but we launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission: It’s not making a difference in people’s lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way,’ she begins in the announcement, released to American Vogue.

‘And that’s the whole reason I started this company, not just to fluff myself, like, ‘I’m a celebrity! People will care what I have to say!’ It was so never meant to be that, and that kind of became the crutch because it was already up and already running, and it’s hard to build a brand when you’re running full steam ahead—how do you catch up?’

‘I know what it’ll look like, what I’m facing publicly, that people are just going to have a heyday with this,’ she says. ‘But it’s so much worse to continue to put something out there—to ask my team to put something out there—that isn’t the best we can do. I’m going to take this hit, and the only way I can prove all the negative reactions wrong is to come back with a plan that will rock people. And I have that plan. And I’m so excited about it, and that’s what gave me the courage to do this, to say, ‘You know what, I’m going to give myself one more shot at this, and I really have to do it as well as I can do it this time.’

And if the haters are gonna, well, hate hate hate? What’s Blake going to do about that?

‘I’ve asked my assistant to just play ‘Shake It Off’ on a loop. It feels really good to listen to it on a loop!’

Blake Lively has opened up about what it's really like to be a mum.

The actress - who welcomed a little girl with husband Ryan Reynolds late last year - is happy to admit that motherhood can be a testing experience, describing it as both 'awesome and exhausting'.

'It's also tough and I get, like, pooped on all the time, and barfed on. And if anything else did this to me, I would club it,' she confessed to Yahoo.

'But it's your baby and it's wonderful because even when it's tough, you just think, I'm so fortunate.That's why it's wonderful.'

The blonde star went on to explain that she found herself thinking about the challenges being a mother might pose when she was shooting her latest movie The Age Of Adaline.

Blake was pregnant when she first read the script for the film which sees her play a woman who manages to stay 29 years old for almost eight decades.

'I thought I can't imagine sitting there watching my child at an old age, being forgetful, and knowing she's only got a few years left. As a parent, all you want to do is protect that. Your whole purpose of living is keeping that thing alive, and here you can do nothing.

'You're granted eternal life, and she's not. So I imagine that would be really tough. That was the thing that, even in reading the script, hit me the most.

'And, you know, I didn't have (my baby) in my arms yet, but I had her in my tummy then. And so it was significant for me shooting this film and thinking of the mother-daughter relationship.'

In an interview with Time magazine, Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed the questions that make her really angry…

Oscar-winning actor and entrepreneur, Gwyneth Paltrow, has revealed in an interview with Time that she resents being compared to other A-listers-turned-businesswomen.

In fact, the 42-year-old mother of two has even called the comparisons ‘misogynistic.’

Paltrow founded Goop in 2008, a lifestyle website describing itself as: ‘one of the rare places on the web where food, shopping and mindfulness collide.’

The Time story is about celebrities branching out of their chosen remit to launch lifestyle brands.

When the interviewer asked Paltrow if she frequented sites by fellow actors Blake Lively, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Alba, the Iron Man star responded: ‘That is a very interesting question, because I wonder if George Clooney would be asked about Puff Daddy’s ancillary liquor line.’ (Both actors have invested in alcohol brands).

Reese Witherspoon (39) launched fashion site, Draper James earlier this year, Blake Lively (27) launched her lifestlye brand, Preserve in 2014 and Jessica Alba (34) launched eco-friendly baby brand, The Honest Company, in 2011.

But, according to Paltrow, their brands are not comparable.

‘I’m fascinated how the media in particular are so confounded by entrepreneurial women doing something outside of their box. Jessica, especially, who’s a friend of mine – our businesses could not be more different. There’s really not a lifestyle piece to her business. The fundamentals of our sites are very different.’ She said.

‘I’m slightly offended by this sort of generalisation that happens,’ continued Paltrow.

The interviewer defended their line of questioning, saying ‘this isn’t an original observation…that there are various actresses whose sites launched within a short span of time.’ To which Paltrow responded: ‘I wrestle with it. I feel there’s something slightly misogynistic about it.’

Blake Lively responded similarly to a question posed by Time in the same issue, saying: ‘I see what happens in the world of female entrepreneurs and I see what the media does…they pit women against each other.’

‘You don’t see male entrepreneurs pitted against each other, destroyed, picked apart, and every word they say served up to judge.’ Lively argued.

Paltrow shared her pride at the recognition friend and fellow actor, Jessica Alba has received for her business acumen, saying:

‘I feel very proud when Jessica was on the cover of Forbes…but we have such different businesses.’

Her concerns with society’s approach to women certainly rings true.

‘I think we’re in a funny time for women. We are more and more the breadwinners in families across America or contributing equally; there’s a shift happening sociologically and physiologically. People are wrestling with this new archetype of being a woman with a brain who’s also sexual and trying to do more than one thing at a time. I also feel proud. Why would I not want to do that, if it’s a passion?’

That’s right, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel, who all starred alongside Blake in her breakthrough teen movie, 2005’s The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, will all watch over the baby for the rest of all time. Amazing.

‘Yes that is a fact,’ the Two And A Half Men actress confirmed before the live audience went bananas, of course.

New mum Blake Lively made her second appearance at New York Fashion Week yesterday when she stopped by to check out Marchesa's AW15 collection.

The collection, which, according to designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, was inspired by 'opiate-hazed dreams', clearly impressed Blake, who shared a photo of the show finale on her Instagram account, writing: 'Turns out it's not appropriate to drool at a fashion show. I'm in awe of Georgina & Keren. ❤️Marchesa❤️.'

While we too are infatuated by the 3D organza poppies featuring throughout the whole collection, it was Lively's mum who caught our style-savvy eye. For Elaine Lively appeared to have done a style-swap with her famous daughter.

Snapped wearing the Reverse Raven Trench Cloak by Lindsay Thornburg that Blake was seen wearing during her pregnancy, Elaine is clearly a fan of her daughter's fashion choices.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been tight lipped on the name of their new baby girl, but it seems a source has leaked the little girl's name anyway...

It's been a busy first couple of months for baby Lively-Reynolds. The world hasn't even caught a glimpse of what is likely to be the most beautiful little girl ever and she's already making headlines.

First it was 'revealed' by a nurse at the hospital where Blake gave birth that the baby's name was Violet. Then new dad Ryan Reynolds squashed those rumours flat, by saying they definitely had NOT chosen that name. Plus, there's all of the really sweet things Ryan has been saying about becoming a dad that have kept their child firmly in everyone's minds.

And now the baby formally known as Violet is back in the limelight as a source has told E! News that the couple have actually chosen the name James for their first born.

Ryan has said previously that they had chosen a family name and as his father is called Jim, that would make total sense. Blake is also named after her grandmother's brother, so perhaps naming girls after boys is also a family tradition...

Ryan Reynolds has given the sweetest new dad TV interview ever, actually going so far as to say that he would use wife Blake Lively as a human shield to protect their newborn daughter.

Opening up about his new role as a father, the actor still wouldn’t give away the baby’s name, only revealing that it was a family name and ‘kind of biblical.’

'I’m just a diaper changing facility hooked up to a life support system, but my wife, she’s breakfast, lunch and dinner,' he said of the natural parenting roles that he and Blake have taken. 'She’s a human Denny’s all day long … and it never ends for her. She’s the most beautiful Denny’s you've ever seen though, I guarantee it.'

Earlier in the day he appeared on the Kelly and Michael Show again sharing just how much he’s loving being a parent.

'If anything else woke up every 45 minutes during the night demanding to see my wife's breasts, you kill it,' he laughed. '[But with] a baby, you’re like, ‘Wahoo!' 'I’m happily not getting any sleep. It’s what you do - you’re up all night. What’s weird is you're happy about it in a strange way.'

When Blake Lively gave birth to a girl at the end of December, the only detail given to the world was that baby Lively-Reynolds was happy, healthy and presumably tucked up in bed, drinking almond milk and getting ready for an impossibly perfect, vegan life.

But then a quickly deleted tweet from someone claiming to work at the Westchester Medical Centre where Blake gave birth read, 'Congrats @blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care.'

We all believed it and everyone seemed very happy with the perfectly normal, but very pretty celebrity baby name. But apparently, we've all been duped. Because, despite being a completely closed book when it comes to his private life, Ryan Reynolds has squashed rumours that he and Blake Lively named their new baby girl Violet in one comment.

Speaking to USA Today and disappointing fans everywhere, Ryan said, 'No that's not the name. I don't want to get into that but I don't know where that came from.'

Of course, Ryan didn't go as far to reveal the real name of his baby, but he did add, 'I don't sleep very much. It's great. It's wonderful. But my brain is elsewhere. I had to go to Sundance this last week. I was more excited to get a good night's sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me.'

It looks like someone has accidentally let slip the name and gender of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's baby.

It was revealed by Page Six that Blake had given birth in a hospital near the couple's home in Bedford, New York, just before the New Year. And now it seems that a nurse at the hospital has revealed the baby's name on Twitter, where else?

A post from @kimbanksy, who claims to work at the Westchester Medical Centre, read: 'Congrats @blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care.'

The post and Twitter account have both since been deleted so the details can't be verified. Though, the nurse did write another tweet which simply said: 'I think I'm in trouble.'

If Blake has called her baby Violet we love it. So perfect. So Blake. And so not weird-Hollywood like these other celebrity baby names.

Blake Lively is nailing it.

Blake Lively's already faultless pregnancy style just got even better. The actress, creator of lifestyle website Preserve and all-round wonder woman rocked up at L'Oreal's Annual Women Of Worth Celebration looking incred.

Historically, dressing a baby bump on the red carpet has proved tricky for some, with many opting to conceal their blossoming tums under metres of fabric, with varying degrees of success.

Not Blake, though. The 27-year-old is clearly revelling in her first pregnancy and graced the red carpet in New York wearing a clinging, backless, oh-so-sexy black gown with bump on full display.

Worth a mention, as well, was her hair. Tousled and gorgeous, of course, but we couldn't help but notice her roots. Whoever knew this golden girl was so naturally dark? Whether this is a new trend the star is trying on for size, or she's stopped dying her hair due to her pregnancy we don't know, but she looked great either way. How could she not?

The L'Oreal's Annual Women Of Worth Celebration acknowledges 10 women who are all making a difference in the world with the winner taking home $25,000. On the night, Blake accompanied Brittany Wenger, who, at 15, created a tool to diagnose breast cancer, helping women detect cancer early.

Blake wrote on her Instagram account, alongside a snap: 'Celebrating tonight with the incredible Brittany Wenger. Google her! At 15 years old she started a program that has helped detect cancer with 99% accuracy. She's 19 years old now and has only just begun to change our world. I'm humbled to have been her date. Who inspires you? #bethechangeyouwanttosee #lorealwomenofworth.'

Blake Lively was at the God's Love We Deliver, Golden Heart Awards in New York.

A pregnant Blake Lively debuted her baby bump on the red carpet in New York last night.

Wearing a shimmering stretch tulle Michael Kors gown, the actress attended the God's Love We Deliver, Golden Heart Awards in New York. Other attendees included Halle Berry, Anna Wintour, Chanel Iman, Gigi Hadid and Anja Rubik.

It was the first time Blake, 27, had hit the red carpet since announcing her pregnancy on her Preserve website earlier in the month, and, boy oh boy, did she look radiant.

Never one to put a sartorial foot wrong, it doesn't seem like maternitywear is going to cause any problems for the always stylish Blake.

Speaking about the challenges of dressing her new baby bump, Blake told US Weekly: 'I'm going to amp up my style by wearing things that are stretchier, cause that’s all that fits!'

Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, have made no secret of their dream to start a family, and last night the star explained why she feels ready to be a parent.

'I came from a big family, a big family of Southerners,' she told E! News. 'I'm the youngest of five, so I never raised any siblings below me, but I'm always the person who's taking everyone else's kid and putting them on my hip, so I've kinda always been a mama. So we'll see.'

Blake Lively threw what we suspect may be the first of several baby showers over the weekend, documenting the entire stylish thing (naturally) for her lifestyle website, Preserve.

Yes, this was the type of Autumn-perfect party where everyone layered up in coordinating plaids and paisleys, before settling down to tie-dye babygrows under lantern littered trees.

'With a new baby on the way there is so much to do!’ Blake explained in her blog post. ‘But before experiencing the joy of 3am screams, seemingly impossible amounts of poop and having a favorite shirt covered in reflux… there are presents to open, onesies to dye, there is cake to serve, advice to be shared and all around celebration to be had.'

Think it all looks too picture-perfect to be true? It might be worth noting that everything you see, from the streamers to the cake stands, can be bought on Blake’s website. At least we know where to get the look, right? Blake's brother, Eric Lively, was there to photograph the whole thing, but with no sign of husband Ryan Reynolds, we wonder whether a second, more private shower may still be on the cards.
