Eek! H&M reveals its exciting new collaborator

Cue screams. H&M has just announced its next designer collaborator and it's a biggie: Versace.

Italian fashion legend Donatella Versace will create an autumn/winter womenswear collection for H&M with all the hallmarks of her mainline range - think cool party dresses, high heels and jewellery with lashings of leather, bold prints and vibrant colours. She will also design a menswear collection and a limited number of homeware items - all due to hit stores nationwide from 17th November 2011. FIRST LOOK: VERSACE FOR H&M

‘I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience,' Donatella said in a statement. ‘The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.’

Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M, added: ‘Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant - everything Versace stands for. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season.’

And the collaboration doesn’t end there. H&M also confirmed that they will also create a pre-spring line with Versace, expected to be in shops from January 2012.
