You may not be aware that watches are ‘a thing’, but we’re here to tell you that, up there with midi rings and ear cuffs, watches are having a moment.

Now, if you're a watch novice and don't know where to start, then the Eve’s Watch online female-focused watch magazine is probably a good place to get your bearings.

The platform is currently hosting the Eve’s Watch Awards 2017 in association with Urb-It, and are looking for your vote in determining the best watch brand in the UK right now in its Popular Choice Award sponsored by Time Inc. Follow the link to the Eve’s Watch Awards website and let them know which name you think is doing fabulous things in 30-something millimetre form.

Your vote also counts as an entry into a prize draw to win a luxury weekend for you and a pal at The Bloomsbury, located in the beating heart of central London – and everyone’s got time for that, we’re sure you’ll agree.

You can expect a two-night stay in an exclusive Studio Suite, with champers on arrival and some complimentary posh nosh at the in-house Dalloway Terrace. But you’ve got to be in it to win it.

If you’re stuck for inspiration (hey, no judgement) then have a look at the shortlisted styles and brands. There’s everything from opulent jewellery pieces that are dripping in precious stones (for the Christmas list, perhaps) to sporty numbers that will set off your gym kit with panache. There’s fashion names you’ll certainly recognise and some smaller brands you probably won’t. Either way, there’s plenty to celebrate.

The Awards are the brainchild of sisters Larissa and Jane Trew, who are also the founders of Eve’s Watch, the only magazine dedicated to informing women about watches. Set up last year, the Awards were created to celebrate the incredible launches in the world of women’s watchmaking – empowering women in a traditionally male dominated industry? We’re totally on board.

'It comes from the same reason behind us starting Eve’s Watch – no one was celebrating women’s watches,' explains Larissa Trew, co-founder of both Eve’s Watch and the Eve’s Watch Awards. 'There have been so many incredible launches over the last few years, with brands really upping their game in terms of offering women timepieces but no one was standing up and shouting about this. So, it was down to us to take up the mantel.'

Voting closes midnight on the Monday 16 October 2017 so make your opinion heard now. It only takes a moment and you could be in with a chance of spending a weekend luxuriating in a roll top bath in a 5 star hotel in central London. Time well spent, we say.
