Although it's now been more than 12 years since the last episode aired, Friends still has a massive place in all of our hearts as one of our favourite TV programmes of all time. And it's definitely one of the most quotable show in existence if you ask us – here are 23 Friends quotes that will perfectly sum up your life.

But recently, one of Friends' guest stars has been speaking about her role, and it seems that she regrets ever agreeing to appear on the show. The guest star in question, we hear you ask? None other than supermodel and host of Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model, Elle MacPherson.

Elle appeared in five episodes of the show's sixth season, playing Joey's room mate, and then girlfriend, Janine. But apparently if she'd known how big the show was going to be, then she wouldn't have said yes to appearing at all. How would Joey have coped?

Although this news may come as a big surprise to the many Friends fans out there, Elle's explanation does make a lot of sense if you think about it. 'If I'd known how important it was in the U.S., or how long it would be on TV, I may not have chosen to do it', she told Australia's TV Weekly. 'It was a lot of pressure if you look at it in the way that it will be around for 20 or 30 years.'

Elle also revealed that she was asked if she would stay on the show for longer, but turned down filming more episodes so that she could stay living in London.

However, despite any regrets she may have, the supermodel did reveal that there were some perks to the job – namely, her screen time with Matt LeBlanc. 'Good working partner', she said, 'Great kisser.'

Every cloud, eh...
