We've heard some odd ones in our time, but these take the cake

We've heard of some weird beauty tips and tricks in our time, but these celebrity routines definitely the most out-there. So without further ado, let's crack on through the most weird and wonderful in A-List beauty.

Kate Moss

This model is such a chiller, she swears by a morning-after beauty trick that consists of submerging her face in a sink of ice water, followed up with cucumber slices.

Speaking to W magazine, she said:

‘I just watched Mommie Dearest! That’s what she does, isn’t it? I first thought, that’s insane, then I was like "Hmmmm. [I do it] when I’m at work and it’s an early morning and you’re still asleep, really, then I do it. It’s so good. It definitely works, because all the blood comes to the surface."’

Gwyneth Paltrow

She’s given us advice on how to steam clean our vaginas and what lube to use, but one of the weirdest (and most painful) beauty routines she’s ever done involves being stung by bees.

‘I've been stung by bees’, she told The New York Times. 'It's a thousand-year old treatment called apitherapy. People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It's actually pretty incredible if you research it.’

However, the Oscar winner did admit: ‘Man, it’s painful.’

Blake Lively

Whenever we see Blake we get major hair envy, but after hearing how she gets it so shiny, we’re not sure we’re prepared to go down that route.

Speaking to website Byrdie, Blake revealed that she gets her shiny hair from condiments.

‘My mom taught me this really great beauty tip. She used to put oil or mayonnaise on the bottom half of her hair before she would shower. That way, when she would shampoo, the soap wouldn’t strip the bottom of the hair and dry it out, making it brittle.’

Catherine Zeta Jones

From teeth to hair, this actress have every weird and wonderful beauty trick covered.

CZJ (yeah, we’re giving her an acronym) revealed to Now magazine that she uses strawberries to clean and whiten her teeth.

‘The juice or pulp of strawberries contains malic acid which serves as an astringent and can lighten surface stains.’

But that’s not all, she also came up with a bit of a concoction for her hair: ‘I do condition my hair with honey and beer.’ Adding: ‘I smell like the bottom of a beer barrel for days afterwards but it’s very good for the hair.’

Nicole Kidman

Calling all red heads and blondes. Nic has a trick for you: The actress pours a cup of cranberry juice over her hair after shampooing to seal the cuticle, which boosts shine and enhances her colour.

‘If you’ve got red hair, try washing it in cranberry juice and if you’re blonde, a champagne rinse can work wonders.’

Julia Roberts

This beauty routine had us all a bit baffled, purely because it seems way to expensive to do on a weekly, let alone daily basis.

But, according to Julia herself, the best way to soften the skin on your hands is by immersing them in olive oil.

Sandra Bullock

There’s no way of delivering this to you lightly, so we’re just going to give it to your straight: Sandra pats haemorrhoid cream under her eyes to reduce puffiness.

'I didn't realise that putting haemorrhoid ointment on your face is acceptable in the beauty business,' she said, 'but apparently, butt cream helps lines around the eyes!'

Terri Hatcher

This beauty trick is something we imagine happening during the times of ancient Egypt.

According to Terri, the best way to get a healthy dose of antioxidants is to pour a bath of red wine. A whole new meaning to thirsty Thursdays.

Victoria Beckham

Ever wondered how VB keeps her skin looking flawless? Bird pooh. No, really! The former Spice Girl is said to be an avid fan of traditional Japanese Geisha Facials, which use nightingale droppings to form a cleansing paste. Her beauty trick is, quite literally, the shit.
