De-stress with fashion...

De-stressing colouring books are officially a thing, and there’s plenty of science to back us up. But forget the ones you had as a kid, this time around they’re filled with intricate designs, mindfulness, and now, high fashion.

The famed fashion house Yves Saint Laurent may have recently announced the departure of Hedi Slimane but they also just released a 40-page colouring book. Crammed with dozens of previously unpublished Yves Saint Laurent sketches, a first look at the pages will confirm that it’s as beautiful as you’d imagine it to be.

Broken down into chapters based on themes of the iconic collections, there’s ‘Extraordinary Voyages’ featuring sketches from Laurent’s trips to the Orient, while ‘Winks with Art’ boasts garments inspired by the works of Matisse, Picasso, and Mondrian, among others. And naturally, in true haute couture style, the book closes with a wedding gown.

Based on the designer's original sketches, the line drawings show the breadth and versatility of his creations, ranging from harlequins and the Carnival of Venice to Pop Art and Piet Mondrian, as well as the cultures of Asia, Africa, and beyond.

Remember the iconic Mondrian dress? And what about the stunning Matisse-inspired look? They’re all in there.

The book’s 48 line drawings are also accompanied by photos of the looks IRL for reference. And the pages are truly inspired.
