Nearly 20 years after he quit the band, grumpy Uncle Moz is finally making solo records that measure up to The Smiths' finest. Ringleader is Mr Miseryguts at his most majestic, stomping through such chirpy ditties as Life Is a Pigsty and You Have Killed Me, with the help of Ennio Morricone, the Italian bloke who made all those brilliant spaghetti western themes. Still the guvnor.
