Big screen adaptation about music producer Joe Meek

Stars: Con O’Neill, Kevin Spacey

Adapted by Nick Moran from the play he co-wrote about 1960s music producer Joe Meek, at the heart of this vibrant biopic beats a remarkable turn from relative unknown O’Neill. Reprising his stage role, he captures the mix of inspiration, arrogance and madness that made Meek (famed for the titular tune by The Tornados) like a British Phil Spector. The only misstep is casting Spacey as his aristocratic English backer.
