Easy Virtue
By James Mottram on Friday 24 October 2008
From using Mad Dogs and Englishmen on the soundtrack to casting rent-a-toffs Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas, this Noel Coward adaption will never win points for originality. But between the excellent Biel, as a feisty American divorcee who marries into the clan, and Coward's dry-as-a-Martini witticisms, Easy Virtue transcends its starchy period trappings to become a neat and nimble comedy.
