The House Bunny
By James Mottram on Tuesday 14 October 2008
IMBD
Scripted by the writers of Legally Blonde, this comedy about a Playboy Bunny (Faris) forced to leave her Utopian existence at Hugh Hefner’s Mansion may set the feminist movement back fifty years but there’s no denying there’s an underlying sweetness to this fish-out-of-water story. Innocence personified, Faris is an appealing presence, justifying her tag as Hollywood’s new Goldie Hawn. With Tom Hanks's son, Colin, the perfect foil as the nursing home worker she falls for, this is highly enjoyable bubblegum filmmaking.
