Based on a true case of sexual harassment, North Country is fresh from the Erin Brokovich school of film-making: feisty woman goes to court and wins. Theron is Josey Aimes, a single mother who ditches her abusive husband and heads home to Minnesota, finding work in an iron mine. When the snide comments and groping get too much, Aimes sues, hiring lawyer Bill White (Harrelson). It’s pretty schlocky, but great to see feminist causes being addressed.****
