Five strangers wake up in a warehouse, with no recollection of who they are or how they got there. As they survey their surroundings, the mystery deepens. One of them has been shot, another is tied to a chair. It emerges that they are part of a kidnap plot; but who are the kidnappers, and who are the victims? This exciting premise unfortunately doesn't develop into the suspense-filled thriller it could have been. Despite a strong cast, the plot twists are less than gripping. Whereas Memento truly shocked, Unknown is unfulfilling, having the feel of a made-for-TV movie.
