September Book Review

A cracking story of a smart girl in London's less than salubrious underworld

A cracking story of a smart girl in London's les than salubrious underworld.

Set in London's criminal world of jewellery heists, prostitution rackets and dog track scams, Dawson's latest novel charts the progress of Queenie Dove, a clever theif on the make. Flitting through the East End and Mayfair, dressed in stolen glamour, she coasts through the dodgy world she was born into. But then she crosses paths with dangerous, handsome Tony, and embarks on a volatile romance with this underworld mobster. Pacy and atmospheric, this tale of a girl attempting to dictate her own destiny is wickedly good.
