Hot on the heels of her best-seller Sister, Lupton returns with another accomplished domestic thriller.

It’s sports day at Grace’s son’s school, and when  a fire breaks out in  the building, where her  teenage daughter works as school nurse, Grace dashes in to rescue  Jenny, who’s overcome by smoke. The scene switches to the hospital, where both women lie unconscious. In a tricksy, original bit of storytelling, Grace and Jenny both succumb to out-of-body experiences, investigating the arson  attack and solving the crime from their comas. Strange but compelling.
