Psychotherapist Frieda Klein is concerned that one of her patients is involved in the abduction of five-year-old Matthew Farraday. Her insistence that this case is linked to a girl who went missing in the late 80s is dismissed by brusque DCI Karlsson - until the connections start to mount up. Klein and Karlsson race through the back streets and claustrophobic houses of hidden London to find the kidnapper, and it's not long before things take a turn for the nasty. Compelling.
