Sex toys are big business due to raunchy bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey, but did you know you could have problems taking them on holiday?

JIGGLE BALLS ARE LATEST SEX TOY TO SEE AN INCREASE IN SALES DUE TO FIFTY SHADES OF GREY

Online sex shop Bondara have come up with top tips for taking your toys away safely, especially with strict baggage restrictions and security searches.

1) Remove the batteries

Don't let your vibrator give you away by buzzing on its own - take the batteries out. If you have a rechargeable vibrator like the one in the picture, make sure the travel lock is on. Tulisa Contostavlos was caught red-faced earlier this year after a rampant rabbit went off in her suitcase.

2) Clear plastic bags

These stop your sex toys being contaminated if somebody needs to search your luggage

3) Be aware of.. um... liquids

You can only take 100ml liquids in your hand luggage. If you aren't checking in bags look at the size before you buy.

4) No banned items

Don't take in anything sharp or gel-filled.

5) Just admit it

It may be safer to tell security staff if you have sex toys instead of risking an embarassing situation at the airport. You can also contact your airline if you have any queries about taking sex toys on a plane

6)  Local Laws

Be wary of local laws. Some countries have strict rules on sex - banning sex toys and porn. They are illegal in India, United Arab Emirates (including Dubai) and Saudi Arabia as well as Alabama in the US. Check before you go.
