Olympic fever hits London (and the Marie Claire office)

By Natasha Wynarczyk - Wednesday 25 July 2012

It's only two days until the Olympics ceremony and we're all feeling the effects of London 2012 fever.

Even the fashionistas in the Marie Claire office have got into the spirit of things, with a couple of members of the team volunteering to help as stewards. Our production editor even went to the Opening Ceremony rehearsal (unfortunately she's sworn to secrecy, so the rest of us have to wait until Friday).

LONDON GETS READY FOR OLYMPIC ARRIVALS

The first event will be taking place today, where spectators will be cheering on the Team GB women's football team as they play New Zealand at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Captain Casey Stoney says she hopes 'it will raise the profile of women's football'.

YOUR GUIDE TO THE LONDON 2012 OLYMPICS

Last night the other Team GB competitors were welcomed to the Olympic Village in Stratford with a dazzling ceremony.

They were treated to a performance by a troupe of jesters from the National Youth Theatre.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Princess Anne attended the welcoming ceremony, which Mr Clegg described as 'fantastic'.

The Opening Ceremony will take place on Friday.
