The popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey has meant more people are trying out more diverse sex lives, but it turns out this is not always with their partner.
Since the book’s release thousands have joined Illicit Encounters, a dating website for those who want extra-marital affairs.
The site has seen a 33 per cent increase in members joining the site, with 200 men creating names based on heartthrob protagonist Christian Grey.
The book, by English author E.L. James tells the story of the S and M relationship between student Anastasia Steele and domineering billionaire Christian Grey.
Illicit Encounters also polled 1,004 of their members with 74 per cent saying they were interested in trying out some of the explicit scenes and ideas from the book.
