Watch raciest PeTA advert yet
A saucy new PeTA video promoting vegetarianism has been deemed too raunchy by US network NBC and banned from being broadcast during the Super Bowl this Sunday.
The American network has raised concerns over a woman shown ‘rubbing her pelvic region with a pumpkin’ and ‘screwing herself with broccoli’.
That’s woken you up on a grey Wednesday morning!
The 30-second advert features scantily clad models grabbing hold of every kind of vegetable and carries the tagline ‘studies show vegetarians have better sex’.
According to the charity, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancers and hormonal imbalances are responsible for the majority of cases of impotence. So in a bid to keep the world healthy, PeTA says ditch the meet and dairy to keep your sex life sizzling.

When NBC cited their reasons for refusing to air the commercial, PeTA decided to lift the lid on the network and have revealed the channel’s concerns, raised in an email.
The network has called for a series of edits to remove depictions of the women handling pumpkins, broccoli and asparagus in a sexual way, adding they ‘even made us blush!’
Advertisers pay as much as $3 million (£2.1 million) for a 30-second slot during this Sunday’s Super Bowl, viewed by around 100 million people.

I'm a vegetarian and think these sort of Peta ads are stupid. I didn't become a vegetarian to have better sex and I doubt anyone will so coming at it from that angle is redundant. Come at it from an animal cruelty and a health angle and get the right sort of message across Peta!

WTF get over it what is peta gonna do when all these animals that we cant eat start starving to death or are trompling their gardens and eating everything because we are not allowed to eat them. Oh I forgot peta has no clue where the stuff in the market comes from someone just pulls it out of their asses and puts it on the shelves

This is the kinda rubbish that gives PETA a bad name name.

maybe they could show it later in the evening (after watershed?) might help promote vegetable sales amongst the late night supermarket shoppers!

Trying to promote vegetarianism from an animal cruelty or health point of view has been done to death. I applaud PeTA for adding a new tactic to their arsenal, one especially suited for a Super Bowl advert as it will certainly capture the attention of the vast male audience.

I completely agree with LucyB. I'm a vegetarian and myself and all other vegetarians I know have decided against meat for cruelty and moral reasons. But I don't have anything against them trying other ideas.
