George Bush regret in interview
George Bush has admitted that his decision to go to war against Saddam Hussein on the basis of inconsistent intelligence was the ‘biggest regret of his presidency’.
In the eve of his US reign, Bush gave an interview to US TV network, ABC News, and was clearly in a reflective frame of mind when he admitted for the very first time that he had doubts over the reasons for attacking Iraq.
‘The biggest regret of all the presidency has to have been the intelligence failure in Iraq,’ Bush told ABC television.
‘I wish the intelligence had been different, I guess,’ he admitted. However, in a split second the President seemed to deny the blame lay at his door, saying: ‘It wasn’t just people in my administration; a lot of members in Congress, prior to my arrival in Washington DC… a lot of leaders of nations around the world, were all looking at the same intelligence.’
Although Bush’s legacy will include his decision to take US troops to Iraq, he stated: ‘I will leave the presidency with my head held high.’
In another turn, Bush did confess that when he ran for the White House he had not anticipated the possibility of war. ‘I was unprepared for war. In other words, I didn’t campaign and say, ‘Please vote for me, I’ll be able to handle an attack’. I didn’t anticipate war.’

It is nice to know that the President now has some misgivings about the Iraq war and he has been frank about it. We must all appreciate his situation and in a lot of ways it is a warning for us all, never to jump to conclusions without fundamental facts.

Bush is a hypocrit. And a mass murderer, having allowed and pushed for the murder of thousands of innocents especially children and women. He has blood all over his hands. He ignored the world, when millions and millions of people repeatedly asked him to stop the bombings.
Many thousands o American soldiers have also paid for his decisions with their lives - many were just kids. It is too late for him to acquire a conscience.
If he was not prepared for war, how come he was so arrogant about it the entire time? he kept lying and lying. How can anyone believe what he says? There is no doubt there is an agenda behind everything he does, even as he is leaving the White House... at long last. He deserves no sympathy at all. I don't know if he is capable of remorse but it would be too late anyway, for the millions of lives he has destroyed forever.
