Russian model death was suicide
As conspiracy theories flood the internet as to how catwalk model Ruslana Korshunova died, police have ruled that her death was a suicide.
The 20-year-old model was found dead outside her Manhattan apartment building on Saturday afternoon after eyewitnesses told of a body plummeting nine floors from a balcony.
Friends of Korshunova were left in disbelief and doubted that the successful model would have committed suicide, believing she had no reason to end her life.
Kira Titeneva, a home town friend, told the New York Daily News: 'There's no way she would have killed herself. She loved life so much.'
According to investigators, there was no sign of a struggle at the apartment and a medical examiner said that Korshunova died from blunt impact injuries.
Conspiracy theories have inundated the web, blaming the Russian mafia. Some theories have suggested the model wanted to get out of the fashion industry but was stopped by underworld mafia bosses who manage some Eastern European models.
However, it seems Korshunova may have been suffering from depression with one blog she wrote posted three months ago reading: 'I'm so lost. Will I ever find myself?'

The lady that discovered Ruslana should be questioned into exactly how Ruslana was approached to model in the states, because there are many Russian face hunters who control young pretty Russian girl's money and work etc and will not let them quit.
There are comments from her friends saying she wanted to quit, and other websites saying the Russian/New York mafia could have done this to Ruslana as an example to any other models controlled by them that this could happen to them. Many Russian girls/models in hometown and New York go missing for unknown reasons or killed for unknown reasons, usually leading to the mafia. Many Russian models controlled by these secret groups would have been aware or even thought that Ruslana's death may not have been suicide..but an example like I said..
It's very sad. Women are just used for money there.
Modeling agencies in America should be investigated and their eastern European models especially. It may hopefully lead to less deaths..
