Sexes differ over one night stands

One night stands leave many women unhappy after the encounter, a new survey has revealed.

Answering an internet poll, published in the journal 'Human Nature', just under half of women admitted they felt the fling had been a bad idea.

The sexes are divided however as the poll showed that four out of five men said they were happy with a brief fling.

Over 1,700 people answered the survey and had all experienced a one night stand at some point. Men revealed they felt more content, sexually satisfied and confident after meaningless sex, whereas women said they were more likely to feel used and that they had 'let themselves down'.

For some women, one reason for agreeing to the one-off encounter was because they hoped there was the chance of a longer term relationship.

Professor Anne Campbell of Durham University, who led the research commented: 'In evolutionary terms women bear the brunt of parental care and it has been generally thought that it was to their advantage to choose their mate carefully and remain faithful to make sure that their mate had no reason to believe he was raising another man's child.'

I wonder who they asked...."some" women counts for how many out of five?! A one night stand is just that, a one night stand. It can be fun, if that is all you are expecting, if you are after more then a onenighter is not your kettle of fish, so why complain!?
Nowdays there is no problem, or least there shouldn't be, with women being faithful to one partner as he will be the potential father, thanks to various methods of contraception.
This is just another "survey" to offload guilt onto women...once again!
