Austrian ‘cellar monster’ Josef Fritzl has received 200 letters in prison from women offering him support and affection.



The warped women have reportedly told the Austrian, who kept his daughter Elisabeth locked in a cellar below his house for 24 years and fathered seven children with her, that he is misunderstood and ‘good at heart’.



They accept his claims that he kept Elisabeth under lock and key to prevent her from the lure of drugs and drink in the outside world.



In an even stranger, macabre twist, some of the letters reportedly believe Fritzl wanted to teach his daughter ‘about the joys of motherhood’, according to The Sun.



The 73-year-old, who is being kept in Austria’s Sankt Poelten prison, has also received a stack-load of hate mail and is due in court again on Friday, where he will almost certainly be sent back to jail to await trial.

I think this is absolutely atrocious, don't these women realise the mental and physical torture that his daughter and grandchildren went through?? These women shouldn't be allowed to write to him in jail, he probably thinks now (more than ever) that what he did wasn't that bad!
These women should have their heads tested.
Maybe these women should try being trapped in a cellar for, oh I don't know, about 20 years, then we'll see if they still want to claim their undying love for him!

These people who offer `affection'! to this monster are as sick as he is. I wonder if they would feel the same if he had robbed them of all their formative (and most of their adult) life. NO punishment will ever be bad enough for Fritzl to comprehend the evil he has done to his own child and her children. I hope that in some way, either by his own thoughts or maybe by the treatment of others, he is punished for the rest of his natural life then may he go to hell.

How dare they say these things. Lets lock these woman up with this monster, being sexually abused and being left alone for up to 3 weeks while he went on hiliday and see if they like it.

OMG, Have these women gone mad. The sheer monstrosity for Elisabeth at being sexually abused by him from eleven to when she finally came out of her dugeon only a few years ago by her father and now!!! Obviously emotion starved women are offering him support!!!!

It's a disgrace. I dont think these women understand the gravity of the situation. What he did to his daughter he could do to them. Are they forgetting that he killed a woman??

Oh well, when a woman is deperate anything can escape them.

this is one sick man who in my opinion needs a bullet.these deluded women need to spend some time with abuse victims they would soon change their minds.i hope to god these women arent mothers themselves as they need to carry a government warning.my heart goes out to elizabeth and her children and i wish them all the best.

It seriously worries me that any woman could think that what he has done is acceptable in any way, let alone want to have anything to do with him. It just goes to show that there are a lot of very sick women out there and I only hope that their families are safe from them. How could any father treat his child like that?

Wow, I thought that kind of sick behavior was somehow unique to American women! (for example, Scott Peterson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Richard "the Night Stalker" Ramirez have all gotten love letters and proposals) Now I see that there are loons like this all over the world! These women are out of their freakin minds!

I agree he is sick, but to Joy I don't think that a bullet is fair, he should suffer in a cell like he made his daughter suffer, death wold be a luck and easy out for him.

I can't believe it. Just how desperate can those women be? It's hard to comprehend how anyone could treat their child that way...that's not normal, and never will be... We in the US would never condone that kind of behaviour.... and to "teach her the joys of motherhood"? Why bother with a trial?

These poor women are as sick as Mr. Fritzl's mother was, who has the first line responsibility in the making of such a monster. Mr. Fritzl blames the Nazi culture, but that too is the result of an already sick society that generated the Nazi sick culture.
