World's first potato that peels itself
No, this isn't a left over April Fool's gag, but a ground-breaking new variety of potato which can actually peel itself.
There's no need to suffer the boring process of peeling potatoes for your Sunday roast as this new potato miraculously grows without a skin.
Food modifiers recognised busy lifestyles are putting people off the thankless chore of peeling potatoes and believe that a skinless variety will spur people to get back in the kitchen and eat more spuds.
The world's easiest-to-cook spud will be launched at this year's Real Food Festival which takes place at London's Earl's Court from 24-27 April.
If you can't make it to the festival to see for yourself, don't panic, the super spud will be available to buy in stores nationwide from 10 April.
