Lounge on the Farm Festival, Kent

What do you do when the post-hose-pipe-ban British Monsoon turns every inch of grassland into a veritable quagmire? Why, pitch a tent, of course!
 
Festival fever has well and truly hit, and even torrential rain won’t deter us. This weekend, team Marie Claire was at Kent’s Lounge in the Farm, the UK’s only festival on a genuine working farm.
 
LOTF is not your average festival. Yes, there is the obligatory live music and the opportunity to rub shoulders with stars like Emeli Sande, but that was not where it ended.
 
We were treated to culinary goodies from a host of quirky catering vans (our favourite was the Caribbean rice), a roller disco (yes, really), an in-field cinema, vintage shops, face painting, and am-dram plays in the round.  
 
It was a festival right out of The Good Life, and jolly good fun it was, too. Now to scrape the mud off our Hunters…
