Following the success of raunchy novel Fifty Shades of Grey, it looks like we’re becoming more adventurous when it comes to sex. Sales of sex toys including ‘geisha balls’ (mentioned in the trilogy) are up four-fold…

Sales of love beads, similar to the ‘geisha balls’ used by Fifty Shades of Grey heroine Anastasia Steele, have increased by 400 per cent and now top Amazon’s list of best-selling sexual wellness products.

LELO, the Swedish company behind the beads, attributes this new success to Fifty Shades of Grey and the Fifty Shades trilogy.

WHY FIFTY SHADES IS GOOD FOR WOMEN…AND OUR SEX LIVES

The beads are actually worn to help strengthen pelvic floor muscles, as well as supporting women preparing for, and recovering from, childbirth.

They cost £33 for two 28g and two 37g beads.
