A new dental technique guarantees perfect teeth, while making you look 10 years younger by smoothing out wrinkles - the only catch is the cost.

Experts are claiming that a pioneering new four-step dental procedure could provide a natural facelift, while reshaping your smile.

We all know that levels of collagen and elastin in our skin decrease as we get older and this has a major impact on the quality of our skin and the appearance of our faces. But changes in our mouth as we age can also have an impact on how we look.

'Manipulating tooth width and size can take years off someone's face,' Dr Druian from the London Centre for Cosmetic Dentistry told Marie Claire. By fitting veneers that are slightly wider than natural teeth, the lips are lifted and the mouth appears widened.

'We are able to provide a more youthful smile that makes you look 10 years younger.'

'It is called a non-surgical smile lift and that is exactly what it is. There is no surgery involved, minimal tooth preparation and the results are outstanding. Generally my patients are incredibly happy with the results.'

Over the past year, Dr Durian has been inundated with requests for the proceedure and has even seen an increase in the number of men opting for the treatment.

So should you book in for 2011? Well, the experts are divided.

Some practitioners are highlighting the risks of extensive (and elective) dental work, which include increased sensitivity, swollen gums and abscesses.

And at £6,000, the dental facelift certainly doesn’t come cheap.

But devotees insist that the procedure will give you a smile that lifts your whole face and shaves years off your age.
