Boob Tube, a cream designed to restore new mothers' skin, has enjoyed a surge in sales as women follow celebrities who use it to make their breasts more pert.

The cream, originally aimed at helping mothers get back in shape after childbirth, has gathered a cult following among women in the know as a way to lift sagging breasts.

Dubbed the ‘Wonderbra in a jar’, its fans include Jessica Alba, 28, the Hollywood actress who used Boob Tube to regain her figure after giving birth to her daughter Honor last year.

Although not yet mothers, Sienna Miller and Kirsten Dunst, both 27, are also said to love the cream for its breast-boosting effects. However, word of the cream's chest-enhancing properties has now spread beyond the realms of celebrity, so much so that Debenhams sold out of the cream this week.

Sian Sutherland, founder of Mama Mio, the brand behind the cream, told the Daily Express: ‘The success of the cream has been unprecedented. What started off over a decade ago as a product for new mums has now gone global. It's really popular with women heading off on sunshine holidays to perk up their chest area ready for the bikini season, baby or no baby.’

Beauty experts claim that the cream is so popular because it offers firmer, plumper, dewier-looking skin after just one week's use. Made to improve skin elasticity around the bust area, Boob Tube contains concentrated Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids which help to plump dry or stretched skin.

The key ingredient is CoQ10, an antioxidant found in young skin which helps prevent the loss of collagen and, in turn, plumpness.

A 50ml tube costs £22.50 exclusively at Debenhams and the full range and larger product sizes can be bought online at www.mamamio.com
