Britain's worst snorers sent to bootcamp

The sleep-deprived partners of Britain's worst snorers have been given new hope: in the form of a boot camp.

More than 200 people applied for just six places on the military-style weekend next month, which is being run by Help Stop Snoring.

Those attending will be banned from drinking and smoking, which are known to make snoring worse, and forced to follow a strict diet and training regime.

The volume of their snores will be measured and they will also be examined by ear, nose and throat specialists.

'This is not a trivial matter,' said a spokesman for Help Stop Snoring. 'The spouses of some snorers are at the end of their tether.

'For some a boot camp is the only option. It's going to be tough, but the results will be worth it.'

More camps will follow if the weekend is successful.

Please please put my partner on the list - he snores for the world - not just England!! He's snoring now (5.30pm) like he does every day and every night - and it's so loud - and I'm on the computer upstairs!!!! He could fall asleep even in a bath of water - he sits on the settee, TV on - and he just dozes off in 1 minute!!! At night, he sits up all night, as that's how he sleeps, but he still shakes the house with his snoring!!! Has he got any hope??
