The new boob jab
Forget boob jobs, there's a new breast-boosting treatment on the scene - it doesn't involve a knife, and it only takes half an hour.
The new boob 'jab', Macrolane, involves plumping up your cleavage by an average of a cup size with a injectable filler.
The plastic surgeon administers a local anaesthetic under the armpits and then manipulates the breast for the best shape as the filler is injected.
Already a massive hit in Japan, the procedure costs between £2,000 and £3,500 and generally lasts between 12 to 18 months.
The Macrolane will deplete and be expelled in normal bodily waste over that time.
Patients can then decide to have a top-up for around £1,000, or leave it for around 18 months, until their breasts have depleted to the size they were before the treatment, and then have it done again.
It's certainly expensive, but many women will see it as a good opportunity to avoid stitches, and going under the knife.
Macrolane is available at various surgeries throughout the UK. For more information, visit (www.macrolaneuk.com.)

Why can't people just appreciate what they have? That's what makes us beautiful, the fact that we are all different shapes and sizes. Breasts can be beautiful large or small and really petit ladies look silly with huge breasts. How can we erase inequality if we constantly strive to be physically better equipt, to attact men? We should learn to love yourselves and stop damaging our bodies when there is no real need. Lots of women have illnesses, such as cancer which prevents them having breast at all. They should be the one's having cosmetic surgery to make them feel like women again. Most other women are just vain need to take a deep lokk inside themselves.

I used to feel the same as nikki until I had my son. Having been TOTALLY flat chested all my adult life was ok until I expereinced having enough to fill an A cup while breast feeding. It made such a difference to my whole body confidence. I walked taller, felt so much sexier, wore clothes that I had only wished I could wear before.
Since weaning my son I have again reverted to being compleately flat to the point of being able to see my ribs where my boobs should be. I find it difficult to get naked with my husband and am really lacking confidence. I am often in tears when trying to dress, as nothing I do hides the fact that I have nothing there. I am now seriously considering surgery and would like to thank Marie Claire for provinding a place where I feel confident in starting my research.
Wanting this is not to attract a man. I already have a loving and caring husband who still fancies me despite my being flat chested.

Im very young and am very uncomfortable about the size of which my boobs are. I dont like the sound of having an implant but i think the jab sounds an east way to feel more secure. I dont know what i think ??

I was a 34c before having any children, now I am a very very small A cup. I have had 4 children and after each child my breast have become smaller and smaller until I was left with almost nothing. I am only 28 years old and have considered breast implants many times but I'm to afraid of the risks, you hear about peoples bodies rejecting the implants and when you have small children its a risk i cant take. The macrolane injections sounds like a dream come true for me. The only problem is the price as it is something that you have to keep paying for as you have to have your breasts toped up haha, and as I said before I have four children so now its not about finding a solution its about finding the cash.

I want to have the boob jab I think is sounds great for people like me who are afraid of scaring from implants. I have small uneven breasts and would love to stop wear gel bra whick I am greatful to. I need my breast as although I am a size 10 I have big hips they are very nice and I feel confident and sexy when I have my gel bra on but I can not wear it 24/7. I am having to way up the cost before I go ahead as this will be a long term commitment and when you do the maths it adds up. I don't want someone to sell me the procedure if I phone up just I want to know that the cost is really worth it for me and every one. I know with it it is what I want but if I cant keep toping it say in 5 years we all know prices go up should I go ahead.

I have been trying to research the boob jab to see if it is the right decision. I have very unever boobs (one is a c, almost a d and the other is an a, sometimes a B depending on the bra) It makes fitting bras impossible, and really effects my self confidence as i am constintly wondering if people notice. I thought the boob jab would be good as i dont want to make my boobs bigger i just want to even them out
