Be More Karlie: Topshop Launches In-Store Monogramming

It all started with the sporty Rag & Bone bomber jacket spied on the backs of the street style stars at New York Fashion Week. But fashions obsession with monogramming really kicked-in when the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Cara Delevingne stormed the Burberry runways in their personalised blanket capes.

And our love-in with making it our own is far from over. For this season is all about the khaki Topshop jacket – decorated with its model namesake, Karlie.

But little did we know that the embroidered jacket – the star of the high street’s Spring 2016 campaign would actually be available to buy.

In fact, anyone and everyone can now make their mark on that jacket - or any purchase made in the Oxford Street store  - thanks to a new pop-up. Opening in the London flagship today, the new pop-up store brings the services of haute embroiderers, Hand & Lock, to all your personalisation needs.

So with the oh-so-overdue January paycheque finally within our grasp, it seems like the perfect excuse to hop over to Oxford Street, snap up some of the new season collection and get it stamped.

With large letters costing £15 – we’re thinking more initials than full names. Or you can go subtle, with £5 per small letter and a whole host of fonts to choose from. What’s even better is that as of 4th February shoppers can also customise their Topshop garments with a selection of 18 patches or embroidered motifs, priced at just £10.

Whether you opt to follow Karlie’s lead and get your name emblazoned on a silk bomber, or fancy getting your initials stitched onto as scarf, make sure you visit the store before the pop-up closes on the 28th February.
