Samantha Cameron won many plaudits for the chic Burberry Prorsum dress she wore to last year's royal wedding, and now you can own it as the she puts the frock up for sale on eBay.

The Prime Minister's wife wore the silk pleated teal number by the luxury label to the 2011 nuptials of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which she accessorised with a vibrant orange scarf, a statement necklace by Erickson Beamon and a pair of peep-toe T-bar heels from high street store Aldo.

The size 10 designer dress was placed onto the online auction site to raise money for the Save The Children UK charity.  The current bid stands at £510 with just four days to go until the bidding closes.

The sale is part of a wider charity auction initiative launched by Save The Children, eBay and the British Fashion Council (of which Cameron is an ambassador) called #bidboutique, which will stock a selection of designer fashion goodies, donated by celebrities and the general public alike, to be sold to raise money to help some of the world's poorest children.

Other designer items up for grabs on eBay include a Temperley London lace dress, a colourful beaded style by Peter Pilotto, statement heels by PPQ and a Mawi necklace, as well as bags by Alexander McQueen, Christoper Kane and Sophie Hulme – all at far more purse-friendly prices than if you bought them brand new. Brilliant, no?!

Click on over to eBay now to bid for Samantha's dress and a whole host of other items. The #bidboutique auction runs until 23rd September.

Good luck!
