By Eleanor Young - Thursday 30 August 2012

Kate Middleton recycled yet another item from her extensive wardrobe to watch the Paralympics opening ceremony last night: a gold DAY Birger et Mikkelsen coat dress.

KATE MIDDLETON'S STYLE RE-RUNS

It's no secret that the Duchess of Cambridge is partial to a spot of style recycling, and Kate indulged in her favourite fashion pastime once again yesterday evening, trotting out the bold gold coat dress for no less than its third outing.

Kate's DAY Birger et Mikkelsen cream brocade number was first spotted at the wedding of Laura Parker Bowles in 2006, when she teamed it with co-ordinating accessories and a matching fascinator hat.

For the outfit's second outing, at the wedding of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall last year, the Duchess added a larger hat and her favourite L.K.Bennett heels.

Fast forward 12 months and Kate Middleton's favourite DAY coat dress is back again, this time accessorised with a glittering gold clutch and loose glossy locks.

Earlier this year, it was revealed Kate Middleton earned praise from the Queen for her thrifty sense of styling.

According to reports, the Queen is delighted with Kate's budget-friendly wardrobe, and feels she's setting a good example by wearing her clothes more than once.
