Alexa Chung channels the look of her Sixties' style icons as she fronts the autumn/winter 2012 campaign for Maje.
The TV host/model/girl about town can been seen in a series of dreamy black and white pictures for the upcoming ads, shot by photographer Glen Luchford in Paris' Porte des Lilas Metro station to evoke the feel of a still from a 1960s French cinema classic.
In one image, Alexa is sat on an underground train as it pulls into a station looking very Jane Birkin (one of her all-time fashion crushes) wearing a chunky knitted jumper with her hair swishing as she turns her head. In another, she's perching on a folded chair and resting her arm on a bird cage wearing a ruffled blouse with a fitted coat over the top and a tousled fringe framing those famous feline eyes.

Alexa has long proclaimed her love for Maje, so it was only a matter of time before she was an official ambassador for the French label. Here's what the brand had to say about choosing the British style queen as their latest muse: 'Alexa embodies a modern heroine with style and charm. Elegant yet edgy, her attitude reflects a personality that is both glamorous and rock 'n' roll.'
As well as appearing in campaigns for the likes of Superga, Vera Moda and Pepe Jeans, Alexa has also turned her hand to design with collections for Madewell in the US. Here's hoping she feels like getting creative again with a collection for Maje, because that would be a match made in fashion heaven.
