Diane von Furstenberg to design for GapKids
By Fiona Raisbeck on Wednesday 8 June 2011
Gap has long been the go-to shop for stylish childrenswear and it’s set to get even hipper with the announcement that Diane von Furstenberg will design a collection for the store.
The New York-based designer will follow in the footsteps of Stella McCartney, who created two childrenswear collections for Gap, and design a range of clothes for GapKids and babyGap.
The collection - Diane's first ever childrenswear line - is expected to hit UK stores and the web in March 2012.
No further details have been announced as yet, but we’re predicting oh-so-cute childrenswear with all the hallmarks of DVF’s mainline - think fun prints, zesty colours and pretty textures. If we’re right, the kids of Britain are in for a treat.
