When Cheryl Cole stepped out on the X Factor stage in this striking gold minidress, we thought it looked a little familiar - and that's because Kylie Minogue had beaten her to it...

For week eight of the X Factor live shows, Cheryl hit the stage in the dazzling one-sleeve design by Emilio Pucci, which she teamed with golden heels, a chunky cocktail ring and her new shorter, back-to-brunette hairdo.

The glittering embellishments on the dress really sparkled under the studio lights.

But rewind just a couple of months, and Kylie opted to don the very same asymmetric creation - to sit front row at the Pucci show in Milan.

The princess of pop teamed her lacy frock - which looks to have a slightly duller finish thanks to the dim backstage lights - with similar golden heels, an intricate cuff bracelet and bright red nails.

As much as I love Kylie, I think Cheryl wins on this occasion - I just prefer the fit ever so slightly on her.

Cheryl suits this better than Kyilie because the colour is better suited to darker hair , it drains Kylies skin . Cheryl looks HOT in this dress ............

Kylie wore it better but this is not the best pic of her in the dress....Just based on these 2 pics, I would say Cheryl. Based on what I saw on videos/other pics when Kylie was at the Pucci show and Cheryl on the xfactor, I would say Kylie. Kylie was smoking hot that day!

Kylie wins hands (or nails) down. Cheryl is so busy on X-Factor she can't be to get her nails done ? It's the little details that stand out. And Kylie's lovely curves are at the top where it counts. Cheryl's ankles look swollen. Lay off the salt miss, not healthy.

Definately kylie - kylie looks superb, it looks stunning on kylie while cheryl looks cheap and doesn't go well with her (orange tan).Kylie oozes class and style.
