Diana Vickers takes over Dress Me Daisy
By Hannah Thomas on Monday 26 July 2010
This week Diana Vickers is taking over Dress Me Daisy, an online magazine featuring all the latest fashion and celebrity news with a first of its kind personal shopping service, in order to spill the beans on her favourite fashion fixes and how her image has changed since we first caught a glimpse of her on the X Factor.
Despite having had the opportunity to wear some really cool designer pieces, Diana is besotted with vintage.
I love rummaging around vintage stores to pick up gorgeous retro pieces which are quirky and unique.
She is also inspired by the high street, particularly Urban Outfitters for their collection of floral playsuits and lace shorts, as well as their vintage-esque ethereal frocks and antique blouses.
I used to wear a lot of Topshop. Now I like experimenting with loads of different looks, she says.
Leaving behind her hippy younger days, Diana is a fan of the preppy look at the moment characterised by 40s blouses, Breton stripes and washed down plaid shirts tucked in to high-waisted shorts. For a night out, the effortlessly chic singer prefers a sleek jumpsuit worn with a belt and brogues.
Making a name for herself as a bit of a festival queen, recently returning from performing at T in the Park, Diana loves the festival-look, complete with tapestry slouchy bags and oversized vintage sunnies. To perform she donned a totally gorgeous red Belle and Bunty jumpsuit.
To celebrate Dianas Daisy takeover, Urban Outfitters are giving away a goodie bag worth £250 and a free personal shopping credit. The five runners up will also win Dress Me Daisy personal shopping credits to find that perfect maxi dress or bikini to help you celebrate summer!
